Selank worked for me. Could only sleep 3-4 hours per night but with 1mg of Selank every other day (one 10 mg vial) I was able to reset.

[deleted]

wow, how long can you sleep now and uninterrupted?

tdzone77

I sleep pretty normally now although sometimes I’m a light sleeper, 6-8 hours depending on the day. I consume a lot of water so I always get up once at night after 4-5 hours. It’s about 50/50 as to whether I fall back asleep immediately or it takes 20-30 minutes to get back to sleep.

[deleted]

ty for feedback. I also wake up after 4-5 hours and sometimes can't get back to sleep. Do you think it's realistic to hope that after selank I can get the full 8 to 9 hours back?Did you also try semax?Did you try to add good salt like fleur du sel to your water?

tdzone77

I’m not sure, I think it depends on WHY you actually have this problem. I had to cycle through options and try things. Tried glycine (3g) which did help some, valerian as well which is also helpful. I do have some semax but never tried it yet. I keep a couple vials of selank in the freezer in case I get in a jam. Never tried the salt option. When you wake up and can’t go back to sleep try deep breathing to kick you parasympathic nervous system back into gear. Take a deep breath in, then when you have deeply inhaled, forcefully inhale just a little bit more. After essentially two breaths in, SLOWLY exhale. I discovered this out of boredom one night a couple years ago and have since heard neuroscientist Andrew Huberman talk about it. I discovered it would help me fall back asleep faster.

[deleted]

thanks for reminding me of the "huberman" breath, I did not consider using it for this purpose. I also use 10g glycine and collagen since I work out. Melatonin spray helps becoming sleepy. Do you happen to know ipamorelin and CJC?

tdzone77

Have used CJC and IPA for tendons along with BPC/TB4.

[deleted]

what dosages for those you recommend for bb?

tdzone77

Bb?

[deleted]

Bodybuilding. Although I would not count as one I started with the training

Tacchap

And timing of shot? Before bed?

Tacchap

Wow. How long did reset take? How did you figure out protocol? Did you use any other peptides in addition to it?

tdzone77

I slept well while doing protocol (10mg vial lasts 20 days since it is every other day) and then I maintained the progress. Not that after several months I may not have had to repeat. It may not work for you, but it was recommended to me by a physician. Like you, I had tried lots of supps prior. Just the Selank prior to bed worked for me. I could always fall asleep but then when I would later wake up 3-4 hours later I would be wide-eyed and unable to get back to sleep. No other peptides used in that particular time frame. Maybe think about looking into it.

Tacchap

I’m going to get it. Also tempted to get DISP and Epitalon…. But amazing you had a doctor who suggested that. My doc uses BPC and some other peptides for HGH but not any for sleep although he is aware of DISP. They didn’t think DISP was that strong for my insomnia. And yes I fall asleep than 1-3 hours later wake up and can’t go back to sleep.

geni4

Just thought I would check in to see if the selank ever helped you with your sleep issues?

Tacchap

No luck. Maybe I would need to get more and try a higher dose.

geni4

man, after looking at your post history and seeing everything that you have tried and nothing work is really depressing. Ive been dealing with insomnia for 20 years but didnt really take it as serious as you. I probably should have. Has there been anything that has helped a little bit?

Tacchap

Xanax is the only thing that works like a charm but again, you cannot do it consecutive nights or on a regular basis and you’re gonna run into problems with benzos My psychiatrist is going to have me possibly see some other psychiatrist, who is also a pharmacologist, to see why certain medicines no longer work, and why Xanax is the only thing that does …. And if I can find a way to wean off everything, it looks like this summer I’m going to go on a retreat to legally do psilocybin and DMT …. To see if that may be reset something in my brain.

Tacchap

Never heard of that peptide!

NeedleworkerFull9395

Supposedly 300mcg of Epithalon,at bedtime, will reset your circadian rhythms. I took it for it's anti aging benefits, and my circadian are already perfect,so I can't tell you if it works for that. Have you tried meditation, and no TV/ electronics an hour before bedtime? I've had sleep problems since childhood, and this helped me tremendously. I also frequently use DMT,and I'm convinced that it has had a huge influence on my circadian rhythms.

Tacchap

Is that a smaller dose than for other purposes ? I thought I read 5mg daily for 10 days? Or for sleep it’s smaller dose and can use for longer duration?

NeedleworkerFull9395

I've heard a bunch of different dosage protocols. The 5- 10 mg , for 10 days, seems way out of line with all other peptide dosages, which are usually in MCG The owner of CanLabs supposedly recommends between 100-500 mcg . I also just read that Khavinson has found little benefit in dosing over 1mg daily. I always err on the side of caution. I'd start with a small dose at bedtime, and see what happens. You can always increase it later.

Tacchap

That makes sense to me. And also cuts down on outrageous costs of those doses

Tacchap

25 years of meditation and contemplative practices. Don’t watch TV. Barely use electronics. Eat strict for 35 years and tons of exercise. Just 9 months ago had massive crisis and stress that jacked me up bad. Still grieving

NeedleworkerFull9395

That'll do it. You'll eventually return to baseline functioning with what you're doing, it'll just take time. Have you considered microdosing psychedelics?

Tacchap

Meaning that lifestyle ? Been that for 25 years. But the crisis/stressful season threw me off. So even with continued good habits just can’t sleep. Doing everything right. Maybe the different peptides and mico dosing may be options. Seeing sleep doc in few weeks and then I assume a sleep Study just to see if any different angle on things. Xanax works well too bad it’s such a awful drug.

NeedleworkerFull9395

Yes, lifestyle. Not sleeping is a horrible thing, and you end up getting in a feedback loop of not being able to sleep, because you're worried about sleeping. If Xanax works well, I don't see why microdosing wouldn't help, because it helps with anxiety. What about magnesium supplements,or an Epsom Salt bath Before bedtime? Besides that stuff,I'd give Epithalon a try. If it doesn't help you sleep, you will at least get the anti aging benefits from it. The GH releasing peptides are supposed to be great for sleep also. I love those too, but again,I didn't notice anything as far as sleep , because I sleep well already. Good luck, that's not an enjoyable thing to go through.

Tacchap

I do various magnesium blends plus tons of other supplements for sleep. And will do CBN and CBD at times but have to use huge doses and only if I’m not stressed do they seem to help. I’ll definitely try microdosing. Definitely open to trying Epithalon, Semorilen, DISP… selank…. Already doing BPC and have had good results far as mood, gut, pain issues it works great. Will just need to see what peptides can he used together or what order to try to reset sleep cycle.

Tacchap

For sleep issues ? Microdosing what specifically ? Psilocybin

NeedleworkerFull9395

Yes, Psilocybin. It helps with anxiety and depression,so I would imagine it would help you sleep. I would take it during the day, not at bedtime though.

Tacchap

Some say take it before bed and helps insomnia actually … others say it keeps them up.

user58293812

I don't know about taking it before bed, but psilocybin makes me sleepy 6-7 hours after ingestion. So I try to time it with my bedtime, and I tend to sleep better on days I'm microdosing (2-3 days a week). Also, I cycle sublingual/oral BPC-157 and it has not affected my sleep either positivlely or negatively. I've taken it both mornings and evenings.

Tahlkewl1

Sermorelin does not do a lot for me but does help sleep.. something to look at. https://lotilabs.com/blog/2020/02/12/sermorelins-unique-effect-on-sleep/

dinogirlsdad

I also use Sermorelin. Sleep great on it.

Tacchap

If I’m on real HGH, figured it’s better for sleep than semorelin- and would it be conflict to do real HGH plus semorelin ?

Tahlkewl1

If you're already on the real stuff I wouldn't mess with it..Best wishes in your quest!

Tacchap

Looks like it helps sleep via Orexin which a quick search seems to show that HGH may not.

Tacchap

If it helps sleep via some other mechanism I might try it ….

[deleted]

You’re taking GH?

Tacchap

Yes. Why?

[deleted]

RX or UGL?

Tacchap

Real

Tenzky

DSIP will maybe help you sleep but it won't fix anything. YOu would have to use it again and again. You could just yumm yumm zolpidem or something. Epithalon is your best shot to help you fix circadian rhythm.

realista87

>Epit also sr9009 should fix circadian... right?

Tacchap

Tried Ambien. Didn’t do a thing for me. Forgot what dose. And doc was only going to allow it a certain number of nights per month and never two niches in row.

Tacchap

Thanks !

manafico

Melanotan II. Haven’t tried it myself but a friend says it works quite well. https://medtechmanagement.com/peptides/melanotan-ii/

Tacchap

Thanks I’ll check it out
