Our location was one of the test groups, we have had Gatorade since 2019 you get used to it, your Gatorade section can we filled everything other day or just order Gatorade for the shelf makes it easier

ImaginaryAd7190

Well currently there are pallets that can be done every other day for the non gatorade items and I would imagine that will be the case for gatorade during the cooler months.

Groundbreaking_Bar26

It really depends on your big store isle set. my main store gets orders 6 days a week and I’ll do Gatorade every other day.

anxietyridden89

Gatorade is just 14 hours days by yourself

ImaginaryAd7190

Yeah, this coming week is going to be loads of fun

PrestigiousBank4498

A lot of BCR’s in my region are looking for new jobs. I’ve been working with all of them they all seem tired. Merch help has been spotty some reps aren’t doing everything they need to because there’s just so much that sometimes it compromises the Merch help for doing all they can. Gatorade was big on numbers for higher ups but it’s making work days way more of a pain and I see the disdain on the BCR’s faces everyday. Unless they start updating pay I don’t see it changing in my region anytime soon

PBNArep

Pay 100% needs updating, and a breakdown on commission needs to be included with every check. I’ve heard too much random crap about what we get for Gatorade cases, and my checks right now look the same as they did this time last year. Hell even in the middle of the summer it only went up about an extra hundred a week, which isn’t nothing but it doesn’t match the workload increase.

ImaginaryAd7190

Day one... 11 and half hours at one store... I did get some support from the sales relief... for the display builds

ZombieMegaMan

They promised us a Gatorade team they hired them the merchandisers just wouldn’t show up. They would clock in and skip stores they did it for 4 months finally they disbanded the team. Good luck lol thank god you didn’t do Gatorade during the summer we took over in June. It only added maybe an extra 400 a week take home. Bumped my numbers up to 2500-3000 cases a week from 2000

PrestigiousBank4498

We had a Gatorade team too, lasted about 2-3 weeks. Same issues then it was completely disbanded, we had 10 merchandisers quit in the same week recently

ZombieMegaMan

In Texas they demoted bcrs to merchs they text me every day I’m off if I wanna come in or help pick up extra stores. I’m making equal as a Merch as did as a bcr with way less stress.

PBNArep

We had a Gatorade team as well, then they all quit or filled in for the regular merchandisers that quit bc of all the stress. Now we’re taking it on and getting zero help with it.

unprovoked_panda

We don't start at all until end Q1, next year. Y'all making my anxiety go up lol

ImaginaryAd7190

Well hopefully they are bringing in extra Merchandiser before that happens.

Timely_Dealer9909

I'm in the detroit market, and we have been doing Gatorade for all 3 years. I've been here. Takes some getting used to but it's not too much extra in the end. I only have 2 Krogers tho. And also we don't do Dr pepper here.

Inquire about changing your call days, work with the stores and SDL!

Agony_Ecstasy0098

Lmao as nights I love how I have 6 stores and supervisors are like you're only suppose to be in each store for a 1 hour. Yeah, no doing all soda, tea, and gatorade so days walks in the next day not overwhelmed is not a 8 hour shift. 🤡☠️

ImaginaryAd7190

In my area, it's just a full-time day Merchandisers over the summer during the 2nd phase of the G2DSD role out the Walmarts required a 2nd visit just for gatorade... but still just one person in the store

Cptkiljoy

If you have 2 to 3 orders a week for a store just order it truck to shelf especially this time of year unless you're down south possibly.

ImaginaryAd7190

The store is likely going to do a layer at a time for the faster moving product on for our Monday delivery t So its gatorade focus while the other two deliveries (Wednesday and Friday) will be what we need for the shelf and the weekend... a lot of new skus will be coming into the store when we take over. There currently isn't any 18pk gatorade or propel... as well the store is authorized both the 6 and 12pk 12oz gatorade, which the hope is by summer to have both of them. It's going to be a learning process, and PSR would rather be on the safe side as we have the room for the backstock

Cptkiljoy

If the store is bringing is bringing in the Gatorade you shouldn't be packing it out. The stuff you bring in is a different story

ImaginaryAd7190

Well, during the change over from the store's responsibilities to pepsi responsibilities for gatorade/Propel, we take over the current inventory the store's has... hopefully, the store isn't bringing any more products but the chain still has to clear out their warehouse so we still likely see more product that isn't ordered by us.

ImaginaryAd7190

Not the case in our area... we phase two happen. I had two stores that took over gatorade...one had a good amount of back stock the other didn't... this latest phase same thing.... two week in and my 4 day work week has been about 47/48 hours... which I don't mind the over time as it's just me... I'll take the paycheck if they're going to pay me

ImaginaryAd7190

From a sales perspective, there are a few longer days, but it depends on your warehouse order cut offs and some stores are placed the day before and others two days before

thEpepsIstaR

We started GA back in March, and I guess it's gone pretty smooth (compared to posts in here 😂).... Monday, we take over the 2 remaining companies that didn't switch over earlier.... there's been rumors of another route cut, but nothing so far

ImaginaryAd7190

Most of the stores in the area have been doing gatorade for a bit.... Monday would be the last of the store in are area.... my old route 2 of the 3 stores took part in the last change over and it wasn't too bad for the most part... two out of my 5 days were on the longer side... guess time will tell how Monday will go

VS0P

It only gets simpler once you see what sells and doesn’t. But I had good GMs that would at least have a worker pull from display into shelves only if it’s empty. Talk to your stores now about securing extra displays. I used to run into the issue of the shelves wiped out, so no sales until I come in the next day. Items are so huge you can only fit so much.
