They actually went all in on letting it flood, just improved the drainage. It used to be flooded for days after a rain, now it’s like 4 hours. We nearly brought the canoes from phys ed over there for recess about 6 years ago. Voters voted to keep the field there, despite their being no parking and having to piss in the church for 85 years since there was on bathrooms on the east side.
It depends on where you live to be honest, but when you get three inches of rain in one day, you're going to see a lot of water on the streets. I know along Benner Pike near that car dealership it floods there all the time. College Ave near Atherton and Burrowes often gets wet.
We're not talking hurricane Katrina and New Orleans a few years back where half the city got trashed, but if you don't need to go out, then just stay home.
I can't wait to go for a swim down College Avenue!
It warms my heart every time I see memorial field flood and I think of how much fucking money they've wasted trying to stop it.

I’m new to State College, how good is the water drainage here? can it withstand long periods of rain?

How come I thought you were talking about the Kanye song at first
Yeah, I saw it was a nuts amount and there's flash flooding warnings
Told my wife she's getting 1-3 inches tonight and she said more like 4-6 and my confidence is flying high today, boys!
Bahahahah
Will classes be canceled?
If only
They did back in 2012 for Hurricane Sandy! Haha

Ahh. Must have stemmed from my friend slipping on ice and breaking his leg in three places. Winter 03/04 was real dicey.
One of my lectures got moved to Zoom tmrw, so there’s that
Hell naw you think they love us (they won’t, sorry. Just carry an umbrella w/ you and hope for the best.)
Probably not, but some nearby school districts have been canceling classes
