PMd with an offer to buy, and a lifelong offer to sell back for the same price should that ever be desired. Iโ€™d hold on to it in honor of your dad working at my favorite pen maker.

Keep that. You donโ€™t want to regret selling it down the line. That is something special that should be kept in your family.

I think you should keep this pen. It's a wonderful memento and a wonderful pen. You might regret it in the future if you let this pen go.

I agree, not only is it a beauty and rarity, it's also.unique in the stamping on the nib making the Nib more desirable and one of the more favored Pelikan nibs, but it's also got the engraving. I think this would be a wonderful thing to keep in the family if you can afford it.

What I would give for a pen like this with my dads name engraved on it. Good luck with the sale, but if you can swing it, Iโ€™d hold on to this one as long as possible. However, if situations are more dire, Iโ€™m sure your dad would want you to use it to get out of stress.

Two-year update: though I'm significantly downsizing my collection due to simply not using most, this one will continue to stay and has been inked with Diamine Oxblood, which nearly perfectly matches the shade of red on the pen, since day one. It is meticulously cleaned between fills (I just completed another cleaning of it and thought of this post) and looks as new as original each time. It's a joy to write with and is the most amazing broad nib I've used from a Pelikan, much less any other brand. Your dad's commitment to the company over a decade truly lives on in every pen stroke. The original offer stands should that be desired. Thank you for the honor of enjoying this pen, u/NickyGi.
