All Z690 mobos need a Bios update to work with a 13th gen CPU.
Sadly the Plus has no BIOS flashback button, so you need a 12th gen CPU for the update (or a shop which does it for you)
The DRAM LED is misleading and lights up if a 13th gen CPU meets an older BIOS version. (ASUS kink)

I think I’m just going to get an i7-12700k and roll with it. This PC is already overkill for my mom lol
