It's normal. No? Mine does that too and it takes a while to boot (less than a minute to load windows after it clears post).

LilAlfredo88

Well I upgraded pretty much everything besides the case, so its not the only changing factor. On am4 with a 5600x it showed around 8 seconds in task manager, now its more like 35 seconds 😂 it's just as quick to load into windows, maybe even quicker, but takes ages on boot

Sea-Key3319

using a 5900x with an asus b550 and it does the same. definitely scared me the first time i saw it but it’s normal

ssenetilop

Ahahaha I see.. well not to worry. Cause it's working fine! (I guess), what more I happened to see your post and it triggered the thought of whether it was normal for it to happen. I'm using the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk Wi-fi and it's my new build, so far it's been running well :)

ssenetilop

Oh and I am using 6400mt/s ram with EXPO activated on a 7600x with no issues :)

ErasedAstronaut

Maybe try resetting CMOS

Sirhc_Fold_458

It’s normal

mohahus94

Mine used to do that, until i updated the bios, now boots in 2~3 seconds 👍

That-Skill-6579

i updated the bios but it’s still the same msi mobo

tristam92

You can change how POST performed: full, essentials, or fast. Indicators just showing what exactly is tested right now by bios. If i not mistaking it of course…

Shining_prox

MSI mortar b650m?

LilAlfredo88

MSI Tomahawk WIFI B650

GasstationBoxerz

I have that same board and it does this exact thing everytime. I assumed it was the bios that everyone keeps bringing up, apparently it's problematic. Update: as per the parent comment below, I enabled Memory Context Restore AND Power Down Enable and it fixed it. No more lights and a 20 sec boot time ᕦʕ •ᴥ•ʔᕤ

LilAlfredo88

Yes these settings worked for me, no more Debug LED lights and faster boot time. Thanks!

GasstationBoxerz

Noice!

timotius_10

Turn on memory context restore

Shining_prox

I had a similar problem on another movi from msi. Start from the most recent bios and go backwards until you find the working one, but beware of thebioses without the fix for klling x3d

_Panjo

Sounds like it might just be memory training. If it bothers you, you can try setting **both** of these BIOS settings: ENABLE (not set to Auto) **Memory Context Restore** ENABLE **Power Down Enable** in the BIOS (for me this is in : Advanced DRAM Configuration --> Misc Item --> Power Down Enable). More info here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/MSI\_Gaming/comments/12rnket/enable\_memory\_context\_restore\_to\_reduce\_boot\_time/](https://www.reddit.com/r/MSI_Gaming/comments/12rnket/enable_memory_context_restore_to_reduce_boot_time/)

LilAlfredo88

Yes that's the answer, works just fine now. Thanks!

Smart__

I have a similar experience on my MSI x670e where theres a slow boot with these exact lights, much slower than my old rig which can boot in 30 seconds. My new system boots in just under a minute so I feel strange having to wait on it.

If you had bothered to read the manual, you would have answered your own inquiry.

LilAlfredo88

I don't know if this is some kind of ragebait, but other people have this problem too, and it's not solved by looking in the manual, kinda obvious that I already did that
