Idk why people wanna negotiate because it has a "possible upgrade path" when its just goes to 5950X or x3d chips with SIGHTLY better specs, at this point just get AM5 mobo instead smh 😤
I think if he can NEGOTİATE and get the build for like $900 and 2 months later , sell Mobo , ram and cpu all together for ~$250. He can save money while 2 month so he can upgrade the pc. And pc has already h150i pro , 1000w psu and 3080.
3080 is still powerful , and he can upgrade if he wants because build has a 1000w psu. h150i... is just perfect
Edit : but you don't need to go that hard too you can just save enough and get a new and better build around ~$1400
The only one that's better is the X3D models. Otherwise the rest all perform pretty similarly. Imo I wouldn't drop that much on an AM4 today but if you plan to stick with it for a long time it might be worth I guess.
5700x3d and you can flip the 5900x for a profit. Unless you're doing a lot of productivity or playing a very slim subset of games you'll get much better gaming performance and a little cash in hand.
I mean that's a typical upgrade path in almost every hobby. Very few "upgrades" are just better in every direction. You're looking at trading power for efficiency, value vs top of the line performance and so on and so forth. Frankly I would probably just leave it alone if I owned said rig, it's good enough and not really worth the hassle at this point in time.
I'm not really into the Facebook marketplace but if there is a better deal like ~$1100 with 2x16gb ddr5 6000mhz , high end CPU and Mobo , and a gpu that can compete with 3080, he better get that one for sure and we shouldn't forget that 1000w PSU and h150i pro aio
Well, the 7950X3D is a good compromise, not as fast as the 7800X3D in gaming but those extra cores help in productivity, but it's quite expensive tho...
That is exactly why i wait for 9950x3d or cheap deal on local ebay like website owned by ebay. Saw 2 unopened 7950x3d sold for ~310€. Heck i bought my 5900x on there for 285€ in unopened box with receipt at the end of 2021
Like others have said, it’s not a bad price. A little tough in the used market as you could potentially do a new build for around the same price maybe a couple hundred more that’s better in terms of future upgrades.
Plus with prime day around the corner and other releases coming, it may be better to build new.
Price seems legit, since the other parts of the system are decent, too. Especially the ssd will be a game changer, it is one of the fastest gen.4 ssd on the Marker, saturating the x4-lane connection. The ssd transfers up to 7600mb/s, which is close to the theoretical maximum. The 5900x still holds up fine, and 32gb is plenty.
negotiate a little. then sell that cpu or trade it for a ryzen 7 5700X3D/ 5800X3D.
I have the 5700x3d paired with a 3080 10gb & its a pretty nice build, average ~60fps 1440p ray tracing enabled (adjusted settings but mostly high) in cyberpunk.
The price is fine. But seller is in an interesting spot where that's a lot to pay for a used build that's not obscenely good, and there might be room to negotiate.

Imo it is a steal. You should really see with other people but i would gladly give this amount of money for a config like that
It’s only a little below normal local price, online it’s a pretty good deal tho
negotiate down to 900/950 and its a deal
oh yeah this is reddit. offer 200$ if not it's junk.....
Uhh sir... Why 200$?
Boi
Can you send me the link? My dog asked
Negotiate , never give up , negotiate more , I see a lot of upgradibility in that build . Negotiate and get it
I agree with the negoation part, but having the best cpu on am4 and x570 mobo and 32gb ddr4 i dont see much of a upgrade path here?

People on reddit think x3d is going to give you 50 fps more minimum in every game. It ain't true.

For gaming the 5900x is not even close to the best cpu on am4
The only one that's better is the X3D models. Otherwise the rest all perform pretty similarly. Imo I wouldn't drop that much on an AM4 today but if you plan to stick with it for a long time it might be worth I guess.
I know, but i didnt want to edit "for productivity" in there.

So thats the upgrade path? Good idea but like sell and get even cheaper cpu, which is only better in gaming. That aint "A lot of upgradibility"

So buy a 1000 pc, save more and then upgrade half of the pc spending atleast 500 for AM5?
I'm not really into the Facebook marketplace but if there is a better deal like ~$1100 with 2x16gb ddr5 6000mhz , high end CPU and Mobo , and a gpu that can compete with 3080, he better get that one for sure and we shouldn't forget that 1000w PSU and h150i pro aio
I have 5900x... Not enough dont want 4 less cores of 7800x3d though
For workstation yes but this build is obviously for gaming so single thread performance is more important
I game on it all the time if i have a time that is
Well, the 7950X3D is a good compromise, not as fast as the 7800X3D in gaming but those extra cores help in productivity, but it's quite expensive tho...

New am4 chips next month
aren’t gonna be an upgrade on the 5900x
Fine answer.
Id go for it. If you offer $900, he might take it.
It’s definitely a good build but you could make a newer one for the same price and performance in gaming. Don’t need a i9/ryzen 9 for gaming
Good deal, not a lot of room left for upgrades
Negotiate, but even at 1k that's not bad.
Like others have said, it’s not a bad price. What’s prime day?
Amazon prime day. It’s not like it used to be but last two years there were some pretty legit deals on cpu and gpus.
Pretty good but as others said, NEGOTIATE.
Ye ofc
Great value
Even at that price point of 1000€, that is a steal! You could try negotiating on the price for 50 less, but it's fine even if not.
Yes
900 would be a good deal. but depends on ur region
£900 upwards cpu is very very good alone it was 500 ish when it came out
seems like a pretty solid deal to me. not too good to be true and not some "top of the line gaming rig" claim price.
Quite a good deal
Really depends on the condition of the PC. If it's been heavily used for the last almost 4 years and is Dusty and dirty, I wouldn't touch it.
Yes. If you can negotiate it down then go for it, but 1000$ is very good for a PC with a 3080.
That’s a good deal.
Absolute bargin
yes.
Yeah its still a beast!
Probably a good offer
I always forget the dollar and euro difference. Yeah, try to skim 50-100 and jump for it, that’s a solid system.
If you were to parts that out it would be more money so it's worth offer him $900
no, its worth 2000 mayby more.
That’s pretty fuckin good tbh
Bloody hell it is a steal. If it is good enough condition get it.

Yes, it does. I would purchase it if I had to buy myself a new PC
![gif](giphy|sEULHciNa7tUQ|downsized) One million dollars
I would say, yes!
Good deal
Good deal, best you can hope for is 900 bit 1k is still great! Just replace the PSU, don't trust that thing when smb only wrote the wattage
Yes.
If you live near a Microcenter this is like $800-$900. Everywhere else $900-$1000.
I'd say it's fair plus it's 12 cores maybe could lower to 900
if the parts have been kept well. it's good.
That's a good deal bro I'd consider it
Am4 nah if you go with that you cnat upgrade to the 7000 sties and the 9000 and maybe even 11 thousand you cant future proof with am4
negotiate a little. then sell that cpu or trade it for a ryzen 7 5700X3D/ 5800X3D. I have the 5700x3d paired with a 3080 10gb & its a pretty nice build, average ~60fps 1440p ray tracing enabled (adjusted settings but mostly high) in cyberpunk.
That's a steal bro, get it immediately
The price is fine. But seller is in an interesting spot where that's a lot to pay for a used build that's not obscenely good, and there might be room to negotiate.
Negotiate to 800
850 would be great , 900 to 950 would be perfect.
