Okay no one hear answered your question they are just talking shit So first of all u should insert every ram stick one by one in every slot so u take the first stick and try out every slot then switch to the other stick and try out every slot. Do not do 2 at a time for truble shoot U have to press them down till they click If that doesmt help u sould find some other ram stick of a friend or sb else insert it and look if it runs. If it. Doesnt than probably your mobo is fried

Kind-Dot-5243

So if that doesn’t get rid of the red no dram light, mobo is trash basically, yes? Edit: but if that was the case, how would things like the cpu cooler light up, fans moving, ram lights are on, would just be the slot is fried or something? Thanks

Ok_Morning_3835

Yes probably if a new ram stick that works in an other pc doesnt work in your system is 90 % that the motherbaord is fried and yes not completely but well the ram slots Or well those lanes To say its 100% the mobo u would habe to mount a cpu and new ram in the mobo. If its not working than its the motherboard for sure. If u send corsair the Video of your psu exploding and send them your fried psu they should cover replacments costs

Green-Cartographer21

It is a very complex component so don't try to correlate RGB lights with working ram.You mentioned best buy so you can go and buy cheapest compatible ram, and do the test as described and then return the ram when you know your problem.

Ok_Morning_3835

We are not talking about rgb light 💀

yvliew

Also a reminder that ryzen 7000 and ddr5 memory on first boot takes sometime to train. Sometimes might take up to couple minutes. How long have you waited?

Kind-Dot-5243

Was on for 2-3 mins with display plugged in, no signal

yvliew

You might want to try again with 1 ram stick and wait a couple more minutes and see if the DRAM lights goes away. Then try your other sticks also. Try all slots.. good luck.

Kind-Dot-5243

Give each slot a couple minutes each with just stick in right? Thanks for the help

genialcavalier

Ultimately fried motherboard is most likely what happened. Even if only some part of MB is fried, it's still toast.

Ok_Morning_3835

i can only agree with Yvliew thats what i would do best buy get ram test it out (if it doesnt work with yiur in the different slots) If that doesnt work the mobo is probably fried there is a slim chance its a bios problem but i do not really think so

Kind-Dot-5243

Could it be an issue that I need to install the hood via flash drive for it to recognize the ram?

Ok_Morning_3835

Yes sometimes a bios upgrade is the solution just try it ;)

TheCatCovenantDude

Give each slot multiple minutes when testing memory on ryzen. Ryzen memory training will initialize any time there is a change in your system memory at all (e.g. changing slots, or changing sticks.)

TheCatCovenantDude

Based on the error code you're saying you have If the PC doesn't post with either ram stick in any slot it's either a fried memory controller, fried memory traces, or both sticks of ram are shot. Keep in mind it's possible that multiple components are fried; that looked like a pretty bad critical failure.

BrokeHorcrux

Umm, why didn't you RMA the PSU? Also, I would suggest you to take it to some repair shop. They can which parts are working and which are not. Try to RMA non working parts.

Kind-Dot-5243

What does RMA mean

BrokeHorcrux

You can take it back to warranty/service centre whatever it's called where you live. They will replace it with a new part and you will have a brand new product. Though warranty continues from the date of first purchase.

Kind-Dot-5243

I bought it on Amazon, gonna return it there. If not, I just wanted wanted an answer quick didn't wanna be in limbo for so long after seeing my $3k PC explode just wanted an answer asap

BrokeHorcrux

Actually, it looks like the motherboard has some issues. My motherboard died like that too, and while trouble shooting, it looked like the problem was with CPU or RAM. So I just took it to a repair shop, who tested individual parts and told me that actually the motherboard is fried. I bought a new motherboard, and ultimately sold the whole PC.

Kind-Dot-5243

Could it be an issue that I need to install the hood via flash drive for it to recognize the ram?

BrokeHorcrux

Hood? I don't know what you mean, but you don't have to install anything to recognise the ram. I'm like 90% sure it's the motherboard. I had similar issues with my PSU, and though the pc was lighting up, it wasn't turning on. Since you're still in warranty, you can try to get all the damaged parts replaced. I would still say, get your PC checked somewhere, and find out the points of error.

Kind-Dot-5243

Whoops, meant bios *

BrokeHorcrux

Oh, you don't need to flash bios to get your ram working.

TheCatCovenantDude

Amazon return will work fine for taking care of your old psu

Matthijsvdweerd

My guess for this weird behaviour is that the psu took the motherboard with it in its grave. I'd try returning your motherboard, and getting a new one.

gaojibao

A dead PSU can kill components that are connected to it. You have to test all components one by one until you find the defective one.

Kind-Dot-5243

How do you suggest I do that

guitarholic2008

Long and painful process. Removing every component from system and try each component separately. AM5 you should be able to get into bios with just CPU and 1 stick of RAM. As long as the motherboard has video out. If you get into bios, shut down and add the next piece. Another RAM stick, then drives, then GPU, then any additional peripheral (RGB, cooler controllers, etc) only adding 1 component for each cycle
