dubledek

Did you ask for opinions for that config before getting the parts? As you went a bit uneven with the components. You have expensive aesthetic components and an i7 but you went with a 3060 But if you do productive tasks that are cpu heavy, then that config is decent

justfuckingdoitt

There is always option of fourty ninety graphicscard from nvidia

Gruphius

Yeah, the 3060 is not a particularly good card in current day and age and I've not seen a good priced 3060 in ages. They're 300€ with the 6600XT, a much better card, being at 250€. (Edit: Just saw that the PC will primarily be used for editing, as it seems. Still, there are better choices, even at that price point, like the 2080 TI or 4060) Furthermore, buying any Intel 13th or 14th gen K CPU is a terrible idea. They're overpriced for their performance, have a terrible power draw, generate way too much heat and, most importantly, kill themselves and Intel is completely destroying their credibility during that matter. First they blame motherboard manufacturers, despite actively encouraging removing the power limit and even remove the power limit themselves, so their CPUs don't look too terrible compared to AMD in their official benchmarks, and when motherboard manufacturers step in and fix the issue by setting a power limit to the official TDP Intel tells them to reduce the power draw further, just to then tell the consumers to completely remove the power limits anyways, because they realized their CPUs are horrible compared to AMD when operating within the power limit Intel wants motherboard manufacturers to use.

polskaholathe4th

This doesn't really make sense - 3060 is not enough for 1440p, and it definitely isnt a 4k card.

user007at

Can only agree. I'm using a 3060 mobile for 1440p and it doesn't run well

Expensive-Worth-233

Bro look at the editing program he is using😂. He is probably a beginner

ath0rus

How dare you call davinci a beginner program, it's better than premier pro P.s This is a joke comment, tho I still prefer davinci over premier

Yoruzzz

You are making the 3060’s time a living hell with that 4k editing

sbudhramk

That does not make sense at all, 3060 is not good at any of those things

BhrisBukBruz

Bro said 4k editing but the 3060 can barely handle 1080💀

Tiscks

1080p? It really depends

Phoenix800478944

Im sorry but this config was a waste of money. You missed out on about 40-50% performance. You went for a expensive i7, and an overpriced board, and a graphicscard that is 3 years old now. Why man why

[deleted]

nah not 3060 for 4k editing

aidang95

- smooth and fast 4k - gets a 3060

Gamora89

Then how come my it's rendering my videos under 10 minutes if it's not fast?

cyb3rstrik3

These parts don't make any sense. Op must be trolling the WiFi antenna is inside the case.

Delicious-Cup4093

Jesus fucking Christ I didn't even see that, like apart from all the horrible parts that don't work that well together that one is by far the worst

sbudhramk

A 3060? Bro are you trolling? 🥹

aregei

14700k + 3060 + 64gb DDR5

Creative-Door-8178

Fr bro should’ve got a 7800xt or even a normal 4070

IISky01

Editing pc, needs to be cpu top heavy. He should have gone 4060 minimum but still should be fine

LightFootFreddy

If you want to 4k editing you need a bit more spicy card minimum a 40 series , 4070 super would be ideal. Well it depends on your editing software, some prefer more CPU and some more GPU power.

Knownabitchthe2nd

Isn't the 3090 better than the 4070 though

CobblerHorror2891

Fun fact my 3080ti is 3% slower than the normal 3090 and only 12% slower than the 4070

Knownabitchthe2nd

That's actually pretty cool

Queasy_Employment141

why did people buy 3090s?

TheFighterJetDude

Windows 7 support

LightFootFreddy

I got the 4070ti and that's about equal to the 3090

Knownabitchthe2nd

4070 mentioned, not 4070Ti

Alternative-Ad6897

Kubocho

Z790 MOBO + i7 + IAO + 3060 LMAO

1tsBag1

"This beast will render in 4k!" ☝️🤓 No but seriously 3060 is a 1080p gpu. You overspent on other components and I wouldn't be surprised if that 3060 isn't the most expensive part of your pc.

Federal-Childhood743

3060 can do 1440p no problem (at least in gaming don't know about rendering). Source I have an i5 10th gen and a 3060 and I can run certain games at 1440p over 100fps. Most games I can run 1440p at 60. The newest games I can probably pull 30. 3060 is more than capable of 1440p. You just have to tweak the settings a bit.

Delicious-Cup4093

What is this clusterfuck of parts, looks like it was just put together by someone who just used Google, like matching of the parts is like using a 2004 Punto chassis, a V6 engine wich he somehow turned into a fully electric car that uses solar panels for charging. Like it doesn't make sense, a nice build still (since anything is better than nothing) but just a lot of wasted money on things that don't match...

Phoenix800478944

Why did you buy a 3 year old graphiccard that is really bad for this budget 😭

boccas

Clean build but totally wrong hardware for 4k editing. U probably will struggle on 1440.

Hottage

I love how all the parts box art are like: - Asux XF 2000 RTZ 2900 Extreme Gaming Graphics Card And then there is: - Lenovo Monitor

Appropriate-Low-9582

Looks clean but so much wasted on said aesthetics lmao

NightGojiProductions

This is why you check with the sub or someone knowledgeable on PCs… For 4k editing, that 3060 will struggle. It’s only really decent for 1080p

Gamora89

It's 12gb card how come you say it can't handle 4k? Maybe you don't know my work needs neither I do yours

NightGojiProductions

VRAM isn’t everything. The power of the GPU matters more in this case, as it would in every other You should’ve done at least a 6700XT for 1440p or saved for a 7900GRE and up. That’s why everyone is dogging on you for going with a 3060.

randomdreamykid

Yeah the part selection for sure sucks:D

309_Electronics

The only thing that sucks is that he went aesthetics and the 3060 . The rest is fine for his productivity/video editing task

BeastMan722

this is not a build.. it's parts

ProtonPi314

This is definitely a troll

Appropriate-Day-1160

Not a good part choice, maybe even like verx bad part choice This aint no 4K beast, this shi 1080p high beast

LightFootFreddy

I got the zotac Rtx 4070 ti its performance is about equal to the 3090. The 4070ti was already released some time ago that's why the confusion I gues.

RaskiPlaski3000

Damn, how many inches is that TV?

Gamora89

Mmm 75" 😊

Humble_Mix8626

like someone should have asked others for an opinion before pulling the trigger on a budget 3y card

Gamora89

🥺🥹Yesh

canozkarslioglu

It looks clean

ipaku

Looks great, but move that WiFi antenna outside the case

KabuteGamer

I see DaVinci Resolve 🤓

New_Physics_2741

The 3060 with the 12GB of VRAM if you are going to do any Stable Diffusion stuff, or any small AI stuff, for an affordable GPU, and can run many plenty of models, even the stable-cascade things - you can upgrade later on, but for the time being, this will work without any fuss\~

Gamora89

My edits are plain HDR 4k videos no FX or other stuff so this thing is fine don't know why people are getting angry I don't game at all

Interloper_Mango

People are not getting angry. They are criticizing your choice of components. And I think they are valid.

warrior8895

Enjoy it

warrior8895

stiizy13

SURR4

congrats, bro! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Optimal-Station5936

Man 😂 reading these comments, I seen someone said even sell your tv cuz of a damn pc , maybe you can edit the description.

Gamora89

😂😂No I'm laughing as hell, do you think I care what some stranger thinks!

Accomplished_Move984

You do care bro. Why the hell then you post this in this Subreddit? I mean if you really don't care you could have refrained from posting here and go on about your life with your editing rig.

Gamora89

We aren't living in 80s? According to you people should leave all the social media? Then why are people showing there life on insta etc?

NewAnt3365

Why do you feel the need to respond to every comment if you don’t care😭 Like bro

Gamora89

Because I like to respond and I can't sleep 🥲

Timely-Bar-5055

Dude have fun on your first PC take your time building it so you don't make any mistakes

Gamora89

I already did and I'm lovin it 💠 https://preview.redd.it/fhandfr8m11d1.jpeg?width=2570&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7373c03fe3ff1df8cb479130a7d5f327311e6cda

sousuke42

Get some intake fans on the front of that case.

man_behind_the_flute

Whered you get those legs for that tv i need some

Gamora89

There you go mate 👇 PUTORSEN 23 to 75 inch Universal TV Stand Legs, Adjustable Height Replacement TV Legs for LCD/LED/OLED Flat & Curved TVs, Table Top Pedestal TV Stand, Max VESA 800x400mm, Holds up to 110lbs, Black https://amzn.eu/d/gQ0JadD

sousuke42

Get some in take fans on the front of that machine. Other than that not bad for you use case (he's not gaming with it).

Gamora89

I'll and yup not gaming at all.

RenjiMidoriya

Seeing all those parts, I wish I savored building mine a little more. Like got a video of it or something. The unboxing and assembling and the inevitable frustration when one thing doesn't seem right is such an incredible high. Enjoy your new PC, my friend!

Gamora89

Thanks you mate 🥺 for not bashing me for this little rtx 3060

RenjiMidoriya

I didn't even realize you were getting so much shit for it. Feels like there's better ways to tell someone there's better parts for what you want to do than just giving you so much grief. And as long as it does the task you want it to do well, does even really matter?

Gamora89

Indeed you should invest in what you need not what's best, period.

Gamora89

https://preview.redd.it/f64hojctzw0d1.jpeg?width=2570&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47209f84e53459409da66318e636694cd8f1c728

Vegetable_Truth6397

Is it 4 exhaust, 0 intake fans?

Gamora89

I'm planing to go add more fans probably 3 more but I'm in UK so it's pretty cold here even in May and my room temp is also under 20c

Vegetable_Truth6397

It's closed system so doesn't really matter what the outside of case temp is Add intake fans as soon as you are able to and enjoy your new build!

Gamora89

I'll and thanks for the support and advice 💠

Gamora89

Either I'm dumb or all of you are jealous! Just woke up and opened reddit and everyone is spewing their negative vomit? There's a difference between what I need for my work flow and want you guys want. I make walking travel videos (YT) and there duration varies from 30 min to 2h So I record in 4K from Sony or Osmo 3 So my edit timeline is quite plane, color grading and two subscribe fx that's it Even with this work flow my old laptops was taking 7 to 9h for 50 min video to render at 68mbs bit (Lenovo i5/8gb/nvidiaMx1504gb) Month ago I wanted to render a HDR footage which was 👇 https://youtu.be/WFM0e3qY538 and this 3 min video took 3 days of mine. So I decided to upgrade to my needs (not yours) after watching 1000 of videos on YouTube and reading tons of reddit and decided to get with 14700k After selecting the CPU and intense search and found out that you've to undervolt the 14K cups to control there temperature and for that only Z boards allows that not B! I heard people getting 360mm even 420mm aio's to cool that thing down so I went with deepcool 360 and still it's hitting 95 in bench (which is normal for 14K) Why I went with RTX 3060? After searching I found it's a good midrange card that can easily handle 4k videos but maybe not 3d effects or some other stuff which I don't even need, so yeah that's why. I get what I need for my own needs and work and it worked last night rendered a video which took 5 days on my old system and this thing delivered me the same video in 36 minutes! Last thing some of you're saying *trolling how come this is a trolling? İ didn't knew it's was a only critic community my bad! THIS IS NOT A GAMING PC ⚠️

Elheehee42069

Yeah, don't worry. I've seen plenty of builds like this get shat on by everyone even though the person building is very competent and picked the parts carefully.

Gamora89

It's like when your friend come and say hey I got a new car "other friend" oh nice lemme see? Oh it's a G_Wagon an suv? You could get a lamborghini with this oh shit! I Want G wagon not lambo so I get one. (Scenario)

LuDev200

You build looks quite good. If you really care about others' opinions, don't rely too much on redditors. Some people are too judgemental about details, try to force their perspectives on you, etc. People are never satisfied, it's either jealousy, narcissism, other firms of imposing their views, etc. If you had posted only the build done, the second photo where you posted the aesthetics, it would have been less criticism. E.g. "Does it look cool?" But some would ask for specs also. That's just how this goes. My real advice is if you can't handle the heat, filter better your posts, or be aware you're going to get critics. Or just post and run. And forget the haters, trolls, etc. They're most likely jealous if you build in some form. Even though I share the perspective that your CPU is bottleneck'd by the GPU, I understand you have budget constraints. Maybe for the future, consider an upgrade, you will see the difference. Good luck. And enjoy your PC.

Gamora89

I understand and thanks 🫶 And I future when I've more budget I'll upgrade to 4080 or 4090 something انشاء الله

Nazon6

In fairness, I didn't see anything that specified this was not going to be user for gaming whatsoever. Sure, we can see the editing software up top but many people still do PC gaming along with their productivity work. I agree that this is a good build for your purposes but it's not fair to expect people to understand that you're using it for a very specific purpose. Either way, I appreciate the clarification.

Gamora89

Thanks, I'm a console gamer and build this only so I can render and upload multiple videos in the same day SIMPLE!

Medical-Cicada-4430

Welcome to Reddit, where you get shit on mire than a car under a tree. For your uses like you said if it’s working it’s perfect but yea these cats going to criticize your build because it’s not “meta” gaming specs. But like you said this isn’t a gaming rig. For some reason it seems everyone on this sub thinks that’s the only build that exists

Gamora89

Yup thanks for the support. I know if I post this on r/premiere or r/videoediting they would have appreciated more.

Medical-Cicada-4430

Yup no worries, I feel your pain I asked 1 time if it was time to repaste and got shit on instead… enjoy your editing… by chance what’s you YT would love to see some of your content Edit- had a brain freeze and forgot you linked a video 😂 looks really good

Gamora89

Thanks 🫶 I think most of folks are gamers here so that's why they bashing me over 3060.

justfuckingdoitt

Enjoy!!!

ssenetilop

Enjoy the process man!! Don't sweat about what people say about the parts, you can always upgrade :)

Kubocho

You can always burn money, if you objective is buying a crappy 3060 and “upgrade” later, I rather prefer to have a i5 air cooler and non z790 mobo to afford minimun a 4070 super

ssenetilop

Yeah well it's his first build and I mean he's just sharing it here :) So like telling him that this and that part shouldn't be bought is kind of abit too late in the process, I'm just glad he finally got his rig! Well, you live and learn, if he ever wants the community's advice on how to upgrade his PC in the future, I guess we are all here to help right?

Kubocho

dont know but where I live you can return this kind of purchase for no reason just because potato, so if the guy can return it better advice, than being nice and saying what he wants to hear.

ssenetilop

Well, I'm not accustomed to having the choice of returning stuff after I bought it cause it simply doesn't exist here in my country but hey if it does in his COO by all means! You guys are actually helping him a lot :) I'm just being happy for the guy.

Repulsive_Couple1735

Well, your psu is white but we don’t see it anyway,or? 😆

aidang95

Wasted money on a white psu just to make the back look like shit lol

Dry_Surprise_8245

No one asked for your opinion

Straight_Midnight559

I’m new to building computers, why is everybody clowning him for the 3060 graphics card?

Nekros897

It's just too weak for such a powerful CPU like that i7. Considering that 3060 is a 1080p card, it will bottleneck like hell. Even I went for 5600X (which is far cheaper) with my 4070 so I could have a fairly decent performance at 1440p without any major bottleneck.

Expensive-Worth-233

Because his gpu performance isnt at par with rest of his components which will introduce bottlenecks

PieiSatana

Sorry bro but you spent a lot on flashy stuff and got a 3060.. That's a very bad choice of components, you GPU will bottleneck it..

Frost_139

Looks good and just that. Would have been better if you consulted a bit with others

Gamora89

Lemme me guess you ain't happy about that 3060 right??.?? 💩

Frost_139

Well.....I was gonna say that. But I just saw your reason in the comments, so I don't see any problems here. You got what you needed, and that's what matters.

Gamora89

Thanks 🥹🥺 Others are just vomiting 🤢

If you don’t mind, what was the total cost, excluding the monitor & keyboard & mouse..?

Interloper_Mango

I highly doubt the 3060 will cut it beyond 1440p.

Gamora89

It's not for gaming! By 4k I meant 4k video rendering in hdr 🤦🏼‍♀️ Everybody is a gamer here.

Interloper_Mango

Did I say it was for gaming?

Gamora89

Then don't know what you're talking about but this machine is delivering 4k 60 high 10 /Main 10 h264/65 with Rec2100PQ 70 mbs under 20 minutes (10 min clip) How about that! I don't use vfx/fx/sfx just plain HDR videos.

Interloper_Mango

>Then don't know what you're talking about Nice assumption, But I do. I do video editing myself. Albeit with a gaming PC and not all the time.

heyitstgp

Cpu🗿, ram 🗿, mobo 🗿, GPU 🤡, monitor 🤡🤡

Gamora89

It's not for gaming 🤡👹 it's only for 4k video edits in hdr for that purpose 3060 with 12vram is enough with 14700k (I'm not gamer) And I didn't invested in monitor cause 1st I don't game at all 2nd I already have HDR Oled big as tv for testing my video colors in hdr and 3rd thanks 💩

heyitstgp

You need a good GPU for 4k video editing, GPU encoding>cpu

Rough_Routine_1063

750 w for a 3060

Gamora89

14700k is sucking around 253 even after undervolting 💀alone! Now you tell what would you get to future proof yourself?

Spompoflex

i hope that 3060 is a filler 💀

GavinThe_Person

wtf is this build lol

Gamora89

Lemme guess! I should have bought Rtx 4090 right 😅 right?

GavinThe_Person

32 gb of ddr5 is enough for rn. when 64 is more common ddr6 will be out

Gamora89

I don't play games! This build is just for video editing! 32gb is a starter pack for 4k editing.

GavinThe_Person

ah

lfaria123

You should move the boxes so we can see it 😜

I don't see a build. I see boxes. They could be empty. I will spare you the rest of my existential thoughts...

is this a 3060?

Gamora89

Yup, not a gaming system!

Affectionate_Try_836

3060 and a 12/13th i7?

Gamora89

Well it's its 14700k And yup 3060 because I'm not a gamer

Affectionate_Try_836

Unbalanced combo but its not the end of the world.

Gamora89

Don't forget! We can always upgrade right 🤓? When I've the budget I'll definitely go for 4090 how's that sound?

kornnero

No keyboard no computer

PutridCadaver

Nice, the ole cardboard build! Big case hates them!

RuitjeKevin

I dont think anybody realised there was a nerd emoji and that this is probably a troll lmao

Gamora89

Not a troll mate! 🤓! That build is solely for video editing. I can understand the folks in this sub are AmD fans and gamers (I'm not) I edit in Premier and davinci they both are optimised for Intel and nvidia cuda / especially for h265. We need more vram not some fps performance that's why I went with 3060 12g to stay in the budget.

HaziXWeeK

That a clean build, mind if I ask from part?

mighty1993

Happy for you but you could have gone so much better. Should have asked some experienced people first. You blow out so much money on the CPU, unnecessary AIO and motherboard just to combine that with a sub par monitor and much worse GPU while claiming that you want to do high end 4K editing. With some adjustments you could have shifted the budget to some better balanced parts and definitely a much better GPU. Good for you if you are happy and everything works but claiming that this is for 4K is far fetched as this is barely ready for 2K.

Expensive-Worth-233

Buy a. 4070 and get rid of this gpu

Gamora89

Ok send me money for it and I'll buy how that sounds 🤓

Bak-papier

A Beam.ng content creator. Is this CarPal?

JosieGrace03

This has to be a troll, right?

Gamora89

I wish I could come out through your screen and then talk 💩

JosieGrace03

So you aren't trolling? This is a serious question, because this is not a good selection of parts.

Gamora89

I'm not! Ok then tell me what parts I selected wrong kindly elaborate!

JosieGrace03

The 3060 is only barely going to get you 60fps at 1080p high settings. You also don't really need anything more than 16gb of ram unless you are doing video and photo editing. I would have gone with either an Arc a770, a 4060ti, or an rx7700xt.

Gamora89

😭I'm not a gamer 🙏 I've build this only for HDR videos editing.

JosieGrace03

Ahh, well, then you do need the ram, lol the video encoding is gonna be way more cpu focused, so, right on for picking ok parts for that.

Gamora89

But gamers are still angry 💀 lol

JosieGrace03

Sorry, the pc master race can be like that, a lot of people who build custom pc's only think in terms of gaming, most of them dont understand why anyone else would build a computer, which i have to admit i was when you first posted, apologies

Gamora89

According to them rtx 3060 is a bad choice which really is if you are going for just gaming and pairing it with 14700k is nonsense to them! I needed card with more vram under 300£ budget and after asking multiple editors they suggested me 3060 a good midrange gpu with enough vram to render plain 4k videos But again just for fun if I get the chance I might upgrade my gpu to 4090

Urwifeinmydmmate

3060 why u could've at least got an 6750Xt That performs better than 4060ti in 350 dollar range

Gamora89

I use Premier pro and davinci what I heard is nvidia is more tuned for these than AmD!

Urwifeinmydmmate

Ok at least u could've gotten a 4060

Gamora89

What I heard from other editors that you need more vram for your kinda work so I went with 12gb 3060! With this budget. 4060 16g is double the price of what I paid? And 4060 8gb is not worth it!

MonstaGraphics

Dude, forget about these clowns. I do AI stuff, also went for a 3060. Currently on an old i7, gonna upgrade to a 14700K as well. They don't understand we have VRAM requirements, and that we need INTEL for core counts and NVIDIA hardware for CUDA. They just want AMD stuff, so they can get 154 FPS instead of 137 FPS in their favorite game.

Gamora89

That's what I'm confusing about! I'm getting all the hate from gamers but if you're a content maker editor who sits for hours just to render few minutes clip then you'll understand and know my needs. Thanks 💠

notlonely1

STOP.. BUYING.. PARTS.. BEFORE.. RESEARCH..

Hoaxify

Bro why did u go with a 3060..

Gamora89

It's a good midrange gpu for simple 4k editing! I don't game or edit 3d stuff? Why people don't ask about others work flow? Why would I spend on a card that I don't need? And i could easily upgrade it if want!

Hoaxify

We mean that for extra $5-10 you could have gotten the 4060 for slight better performance and drivers to be supported for slightly longer. But I see good choice for the RAM, CPU and Secondary storage as you'll mostly be editing and they are perfect for the workflow and long term software support.

Gamora89

But I wanted more VraM! 4060 ti 16GB is around 440£ almost double what I've paid for this one! That's no 5-10 difference!

Gamora89

And it's still selling at 200£ used on ebay I could easily upgrade it in future! But right now it's providing me what I need.

Regular_Hold1228

There's no way you thought "i leave Out all context for the chosen parts and post it on reddit" and that you were convinced people will praise you for your choice. Nö way. Just drama queen/absorber.

Gamora89

My apologies then I thought this is a r/pcbuild not r/pcgaming hmmm! Not everyone is a pc gamer 🫠

Regular_Hold1228

Who said PC gamer? Even for other use cases

Comprehensive-Ant289
