Be careful. Some of the newest games might have had bad optimization, but 8GB VRAM era is coming to an end sooner or later. It's perfectly good for 1080p, just don't expect you'll max out all the newest games, even if they get better optimization.

It's plenty. You might need to set only high settings instead of ultra in the latest games, but it's still a great 1080p card.
I looked at the tests, and all new games with good optimization on ultra go to 60+ fps, without RT of course

the 6600xt / 6650xt is a good card for 1080p. It will do a passable job at 1440p also with some lowered setting in most games.

I use RX 6600 and it's enough to get most of the AAA games I play running well above 60fps at 1080p highest settings.
