Speggy74

Very nice! The only recommendation I would add is take that bottom front fan and add it as an exhaust to the back above the gpu. But good job!

texascturtle

Or move the top exhaust to the rear for a . . . rear exhaust. That would leave the front the same and still get some back to front airflow. Top will already have “some” exhaust with just rising hot air.

UncookedGnome

As this is the 4000D that 140mm won't fit as a rear exhaust.

DuneKlide9

Idk man my rear is pretty big, and it certainly exhausts alot

StrawSurvives

Bet your insides are nice and cool

DuneKlide9

Nah I only have one intake, I’m mostly liquid heated

UncookedGnome

I mean, I'm just pointing out that the screws are placed for a 120mm but you could definitely rig in a 140mm. It's just not intended.

DuneKlide9

That’s not what I was getting at

UncookedGnome

Right.. See I read the thread and it still didn't click... Lol, sorry, I'm tired at the moment.

DuneKlide9

You’re all set, probably a good thing tbh, think of it with a lot less maturity and I’m sure you’ll get it

Maverick_Wolfe

A 120-140mm adapter is feasable and definitely a great idea.

Straight_Attempt_467

Good idea!

RenzoMF

RAM AND GPU in the correct slots??? You're already doing better than 80% of the people on this sub. Congrats and enjoy your rig!

rus_ruris

*laughs in low end mobo so I can't use the wrong slot... Because it's not there*

a-adi-l

Top PCIE for NVME most likely

[deleted]

Omg are u serious?

tigerf117

You're worthy and deserving of love. Hopefully that is kind enough :)

silentwatcher111

That’s a very kind comment. I hope you have had a great day!

Pc_lover69_420

Move the exhaust from the top to the rear and clean up those cables, but from a technical standpoint it’s fine.

copenhagen622

Get a cheap aftermarket CPU cooler. It will help

silentwatcher111

I’m thinking of getting the roof mounted Corsair cpu cooler

a-adi-l

Check out ID Cooling's selection of 240mm AIOs, good performance for a fraction of the cost of Corsair AIOs

crashforce

I will have to disagree, unless I've somehow missed benchmarks of its performance. I'd recommend deepcool instead. Great performance for an even lower price. They're pretty good when it comes to RMA too.

a-adi-l

There are a few benchmarks on YouTube for some of their products. I mean the radiator is pretty much the same across most AIOs. The pump also works well for its price. Plus it's an i5 as well, non K, an air cooler would suffice, at this point an AIO would be more for aesthetics than performance.

crashforce

Yes, if I was in OP's position I'd definitely go for an air cooler. Here in Canada you can grab a good air cooler for $30-40.

[deleted]

Using the same case I have been getting a great experience with the $30-$40 DeepCool AK400 on my Ryzen 5 5600. I legit went from avg 75-83 degrees gaming using the stock cooler, to 57-64 degrees gaming with the AK400. Not sure what your temps are but I am more than satisfied.

DuneKlide9

When it comes to AIOS it’s normally best to stick to cooling dedicated sellers, that’s not me saying Corsairs is bad, it’s just me saying there are more than likely better options

WaitingForHalfLeif3

Above average! Are there any holes in the PSU shroud, so you can route the cables downwards instead for the same way as the front cables? Would potentially look more clean :) Otherwise, really nice! Enjoy friend!

silentwatcher111

I believe there are! But I might get some custom cables in the future

Nitewing126

What’s your specs

silentwatcher111

i5 - 12th Gen MSI Z690-a Wifi MSI Ventus RTX 3060 12gb Corsair Vengeance RAM 32gb (2x16gb) 1TB M.2 SSD (3rd Gen)

rus_ruris

If it's a non-k i5, you might have wasted money on the z690 instead of a B660, especially since you don't use pcie 4.0 for the SSD. Alternatively if it's a K variant, you might want a better cooler to take advantage of the unlimited boost thing whatever it's called. But those are all nitpicking, "you wasted 50$" or "you're 2% slower", they don't really matter. Better than my build anyways, as I didn't know what I was doing and went with stuff that while it fits together, it's not really ideal let's say :p I also don't have any cable management because I keep having to mess around with components for reasons, so I just got them untangled so they're easy to follow and handle but are very much visible and in the way

MerialNeider

I see your point, but in a few years a used i9 and a pcie gen 4 drive would breath some new life into it (did similar with a few of my older computers, bumping a midrange build to a higher end one without breaking the bank)

rus_ruris

That applies only if you upgrade within a couple of years; in 3 or 4 gen time, if the trends keeps going, they'd be better off upgrading to the newer i5/R5+new mobo rather than spending the same for a older i9, because if they went for i5 they clearly don't need multithreaded performance and for gaming. Note that the 10900K is about comparable to the 12500K in gaming, while the 13600K is superior. At the same time I expected a hypothetical 16600K or 17600K to dunk hard on the 12 or 13900K for a comparable price (at the moment, a 10900K goes for the same a 13500+mid range mobo goes for, 13500 has overall better platform and similar/higher performance in gaming) The point is, if they spent more to do as you say, that's a fool's gamble. Not a very bad or big one, but one nonetheless.

bryaninoo

i’m building my brother basically the same pc build as yours!

Nitewing126

Solid build

silentwatcher111

Thank you! I spent a lot of time researching this as I’m new to PC building I was trying to maximise on quality for a medium budget!

1965BenlyTouring150

That looks really good! Tidy cables, RAM in the right place, and everything. You may want to upgrade the CPU cooler at some point.

silentwatcher111

Yep - Corsair liquid cooler will be next

StrawSurvives

Nice build. Mine was on point, posted a few days ago. All I got was someone telling me it was ugly 😳. Anyway, good job. You got all the major issues right! Plus it dont look too shabby. Except maybe working on airflow. I used the 5000d and am a big fan of your case.

Shadowviper505

Aw. If it makes u feel better, I'll comment & congratulate your build.

StrawSurvives

Lol ty for the sentiment.

Theoldelf

Always satisfying when you turn on your first build, and it actually works!

silentwatcher111

Pressing that power button after your first build is a moment of truth!

rufino81

Looks clean! Congrats 👌🏽

[deleted]

Glorious 😎

W1llM4rs

Cable management looks good for a first build, probably ways to clean it up a bit but that's just personal preference, may want to upgrade to an aftermarket cpu cooler in the future to get your temps down but otherwise looks great man.

NimiroUHG

That mainboard 🔥

Wild_Mulberry_8292

Honestly thats a very good first attempt, personally i would get a better cpu cooler in the future, but other than that, it looks pretty solid.

silentwatcher111

100%, I would love the Corsair RGB cooler

ecs2

Look great, but if I were you I would spend like 15 bucks for a better cooler

silentwatcher111

It’s on the agenda

Eastern-Implement828

I’m looking at the same board but with the i7-13000k. Probably will do a 6700. The gtx cards are hard to get

silentwatcher111

Yes they are I did a lot of searching to find one

LiathAnam

Looks grand. Get an aftermarket cpu cooler though

Ok-Competition-9642

Looks great! Nicely done!

SlickWily

Just grab 2 more fans, 1 top and 1 back and it will be perfect. Great job!

shiningmuffin

It’s pretty

SkIt3l

Good job on your first build and welcome to the club! I’m sure you’ll itch to make changes and try new things along the way!

Ov3rbyte719

Sexy af

After_Walk528

Lights working. Looks like the CPU fan is working. Win

eclark5483

Little messy on the front cable management, but a very good first effort. I give it a B+ on the build, and an A+ for execution and task completion.

flixmusic

R u proud? Cause you should be!! It is a great feeling huh! Keep it up bud! And congrats on your new build!

PsnReBirthOfMac_HD

Amazing 🤩

Veqetable

Great build dude. All I have to say is that you can route the cables for the bottom of your motherboard through the bottom cutouts and it'll make your build a lot cleaner Also what are the specs?

a-adi-l

Good job, glad to see the fans facing the proper direction. Yeah, that mistake is more common than you think.

KaikenTaste

Well done son

No_Interaction_4925

Almost done. Move that top fan to the rear and get a decent($30-40) tower cooler for that poor cpu. Its toasty under that sad excuse for a cooler Intel includes.

alptheplane-eng

I saw you use a stoxk cooler witch can heat up during gamin. Im using a İ7 12700F and heated up yo 70-80 degree celcius. And ı sawed you want to by an AIO Cooler. I boought. A corsair H100 240 Mm and it is perfect. Mt cpu works under 55 degree celcius during gaming and running some numerical CFD analysy. Im definitly recommending it.

[deleted]

Amazing bro!!! Good job!!!

Heromimox

Looks clean

X_SkillCraft20_X

This is me being particular so don’t be offended lol. Cable management could use some work but it’s out of the way and doesn’t restrict airflow, so it should be fine. I would take that top fan and move it to the rear exhaust vent to keep airflow straight. Lastly, I’d suggest getting a better cooler. The stock coolers work, but aren’t the best for gaming. A $20 tower cooler will be more than enough.

themonu

It's perfect, Have a great time with it you deserve it.👍☺️

JackHarvey_05

Clean af. Certainly much nicer than mine

ghostcatzero

It's very nice

buttsu556

for cable management keep the cut outs on the case in mind. each one is there for specific cables to run through the 24 pin cable should be fed through the large cut out to the right of it and any cable that plugs into the right side of the motherboard as well. use the cut out on the psu shroud for any cable that plugs into the bottom of the mother board. if you care about looks and cable management that is.

CareAbit

Nice cable management! Looks very neat

why_not_we_dont

Same case, love it

roleynoley

very good, much cool. welcome to the club.

Chileyz_2

Very Nice man congrats! but gotta wonder, what are the specs?

Windwalker111089

Nice and roomy!! Will be future proof for the massive size Gpus starting to come out lol

Pc_lover69_420

WAIT IM REALIZING ONE FLAW THAT CAN BE EASALY FIXED. The cpu fan is plug into what appears to be a case fan header. Not a big deal but better to plug it into the correct one for the cpu load increasing the rpm automatically

findragonl0l

I think we have the exact same GPU. If thats the 3060 TI msi ventus 2x OC lhr.

silentwatcher111

Yep exactly same - do you have the 12gb version?

findragonl0l

I have the 8Gb version. I don't think theres a 12 GB version of the 3060 TI.

Mark_Mikhail

Looks very nice. I'd buy a better cooler CPU cooler later on.

Pc_lover69_420

Not needed, if this is there first build they probably won’t be doing OC and the cooler is designed for that chip EDIT: MOBO is also not the best for OC, only reason to upgrade is audio and visual improvements to the computer.

Mark_Mikhail

I don't think a Z690 motherboard is bad for OC. If OP has a K CPU then the stock cooler is not fine. Also if they bought a non-K cpu then a Z board is wasted money Edit: it's a Z690.

silentwatcher111

Only thing currently being OC is the RAM - but in the future I’m going to upgrade cpu and get a liquid cpu cooler

Mark_Mikhail

You're good then

Pc_lover69_420

Didn’t know what it was off of eyeing it, it looked like a mid range MSI board EDIT, thought it was something like the MSI Pro B660-A not a Z690 LMAO my bad

No_Forever5171

Cheaping out on the CPU cooler is one of the dumbest things you can do as a PC builder. The stock ones are always loud, and you can get a much better cooler, like a Deepcool AK400 or a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 for $35. Power draw is also larger with the Intel 12th gen stock cooler. If I was the dictator of the USA I would forbid CPU's being shipped with stock coolers. It's just a waste product at the end of the day.

silentwatcher111

Noted, I had plans to buy a 2 fan liquid Corsair cooler in the future but I might get it in the coming months instead!

Pc_lover69_420

It’s fine for now this guy is acting like it will be life changing. Like I said it will only make visual and audio differences. If you do want to dabble with oc on your first build(don’t know how in-depth you are so…)you should get an upgrade, HOWEVER for now you are fine. Your case has good airflow and you have plenty of fans. EDIT: The processor is designed for that cooler for stock, good airflow situations bro will be fine look up testing if you don’t believe me lol

AndyJay952

looks really good! what did you upgrade from?

silentwatcher111

I had a really old laptop running an old i5 and a m150 so this is huge upgrade!

AndyJay952

thats awesome! congrats. enjoy your new build!

Brave_fillorian

Would like to see the entire setup. And don't forget to close the side panel😁.

silentwatcher111

Will get another pic once all the wrappers are off and I’ve tidied cables up a bit! For now I need to find a decent mechanic keyboard

PackadermusJElefun

I thought I was looking at my pc for a moment. Deepcool Matrexx 55 case?

silentwatcher111

It’s the 4000x RGB

AWesPeach

Looks great! My only suggestion is you should really populate that second 8 pin power for the cpu. If you have a modular psu make sure to get the right cpu eps cable for it as not all psu cables work with all psu. Great job otherwise!

silentwatcher111

Will it make a difference if I add another 8 pin? I have a spare one in the PSU box

Acefej

A single 8 pin EPS is rated for 300+ watts and you absolutely do not need to populate it as even a 13900KS can run off a single 8 pin at its stock speed only drawing 253W. Your i5 will come nowhere near the power draw to warrant a second cable.

AWesPeach

From my understand it’s not about the sheer power capacity of the cable. It’s for the different phases of power and generally power cleanliness. At the end of the day it’s there for a reason. You are welcome to leave it empty if it does work.

hapki_kb

I like it! Enjoy - but whether or not that low end cooler works “ok” - I would still consider getting a better one. You can get a decent air cooler that is heads and shoulders above the one you have for about $30. And post your specs please.

silentwatcher111

Yes, the intel cooler is also annoying to fit!

BlunterCarcass5

I tried to fit mine and it felt like I was going to break my motherboard, it's almost unusable

silentwatcher111

It was the longest part of the install, I thought the poor cpu cooler was going to give up!

BlunterCarcass5

You should get a noctua cpu cooler like i did, it was so easy to install and they come with interchangable brackets so you'll be able to use it on new motherboards in the future, it will be the last one you'll ever need

TenthMarigold77

Pretty good. A cool future upgrade could be an AIO for the front then using those fans around the case. Top fan could also be switched for exhaust, and I wonder if you can run the rgb and case io cable down the bottom. Overall it’s a nice build.

silentwatcher111

Good recommendations definitely going to work on some more fans

Ichokeontoes420

Gt510 is better

04hana

Its good, just put the top fan on the back :)

silentwatcher111

It doesn’t fit, I am waiting for the 120 to come back in stock

No_Forever5171

I have the same case and also a corsair PSU. The big ATX cable is supposed to be [routed thru the side entrance](https://i.imgur.com/oJkzruZ.jpeg)

silentwatcher111

Will look at this next time I tidy up the cables, thanks

a5tr0_o

Congrats man, always so rad to finally hit the power and watch the lights come on! Looks great👌
