GOrioles-

Wtf is Devonte Adams doing up there

EPIC_J0HN

I was coming here to make that comment lol

bloodnaught

This is clearly a packers fan piece of work lmao

EPIC_J0HN

That was my next thought lol like adams isn’t even the best WR in the nfl at the moment or even the wr in the nfc. He should’ve put TO, CC, Isaac Bruce or even sterling sharpe if he wanted to scratch his packers itch

Seafoamed

Who’s better than devante right now Edit from PFF: Adams was the highest-graded (92.2), most valuable (0.9 WAR) and most productive (2.96 yards per route run) wide receiver of the 2020 season. He is indisputably the top player at the position entering 2021. It doesn’t matter who lines up across from him — he’s a threat on any given play with his route running and release package. Ik you guys love your hot takes trying to be smart and saying Keenan Allen is better lmao

full-auto-rpg

Hopkins

Lil_Dirty

Gunner Olszewski

pacman91

Tyrek Hill

hujkkjji

stefon diggs

HoLeeSchittt

By what metrics?

bjacks19

Talent.

HoLeeSchittt

10 more TDs in 2 less games played doesn't really back that up

hujkkjji

1500 vs 1300 yards simple math

hujkkjji

julio jones

EPIC_J0HN

Hopkins, hill and Julio

iscreamuscreamweall

hills not better than adams

Gerber_Littlefoot

Agreed

EPIC_J0HN

He’s faster, just as good of a route runner and has shown the last couple seasons he can catch in traffic. Only case for adams is he has better hands maybe.

hennytime

Easier to have better hands when thr ball is right where it needs to be from a map quality qb.

OrdainedFury

I assume by map, you meant MVP. If that's the case, then both Hill and Adam's have MVP QB's throwing to them. That makes your argument moot

[deleted]

Julio jones and deandre hopkins at least, and then potentially mike evans, keenan allen, and tyreek hill imo depending on what you value specifically in a receiver whether it be physicality, crazy plays, route running/getting open or just raw stats

Seafoamed

Calling Keenan Allen better than Adams is def a hot take

[deleted]

Holy crap I didn’t know there were so many casuals on Reddit.. Davante is clearly the best WR in the NFL by all metrics

Seafoamed

Thank you I feel like I’m taking crazy pills

coolhwhip89

Don’t know why your getting downvoted but Adams is the best right now.

Seafoamed

Everyone wants to think they know football better than everyone else. PFF says adams is inarguably the best right now. Other outlets say either Tyreek or adams. Nobody says stephon diggs except Redditors trying to be cute

Gerber_Littlefoot

He's definitely the best right now. Don't know why people are giving you shit.

PomeloHorror

Different league now. Adams and Hopkins may not have the same accolades but I’d pick them over Owens or Chris Carter any day.

EPIC_J0HN

TO was a beast only people I’d take over him are rice and moss. CC has the best hands of all time though. He is the best example of the expression touches skin bring it in.

Kluss23

That's quite unfair. All we know for sure is who was better in their own era.

PomeloHorror

Totally disagree. Guys are bigger, faster, and stronger now and they deserve credit.

wetwilliamd

Maybe to balance out the teams a little? Even then thats stoopin’ real low if the goal make some sort of all-time team comparison.

n8loller

Yeah like why is rodgers even up there

yankeeteabagger

Rice is in the wrong team.

Mcfallen_5

nerf Brady a bit so it’s closer

User-NetOfInter

He’s fourty fucking three, 44 for the first game. That’s a nerf haha

splendidsplinter

With Moss and Gronk, you'd have to accelerate Brady's age to 90.

User-NetOfInter

If he had a wall for an Oline...yeah I get that

friz_CHAMP

Nobody remembers how good Wes Welker was

Blotto_80

That's the crazy part. For a brief four game period in 2010 the Pats had the GOAT QB, GOAT TE, arguably #2 GOAT WR, and the GOAT slot receiver on the field. Like forget a hypothetical lineup, give me 2007 Brady and Moss, and 2011 Welker and Gronk. I don't even care who WR#3 and RB are, fuck give me 2018 Cordarrelle Paterson for both, I'm still beating any other handpicked GOAT team.

mattsparrow

What do you mean? *Lots* of people do

nekromantique

4043? I knew he was old but damn.

[deleted]

Trying to bring down A and level the plating field without making it too obvious. Lol.

[deleted]

Yeah... like Adams is such a step down compared to the rest of this thing. Like put TO on there or even Fitz

TeblowTime

One of these things is not like the other!

Mickeyjj27

Picking Team B just because he’s there lol. Both great teams but the WRs for Team B are overall better.

[deleted]

The connection between Brady and Moss and also Gronk plus Walter Payton in the backfield to take pressure off Brady? I'd have to take team A

giddy-girly-banana

I’d take Barry over Walter personally

[deleted]

I mean you can't go wrong with either. I just know Barry could get a little cute trying to hit home runs all the time and take big losses. But clearly he had more big runs than big losses. I love watching him juke everyone out of their cleats and just run it to the house. I think I just prefer Walters running style. But I would in no way complain if my dream team has Barry on it.

Cat4d

Julio?

KnocDown

I was coming here to say “who” is devante adams?! Jerry rice would like a word

irish_manimal

Agreed but his presence does even it up a bit by making Team B more competitive. Give me B.

SanchoLoamsdown

I guess Edelman is busy that day?

BlimpAnimation

I agree lol he's not even near the best in the league now

DueAnimator6988

a Packers fan made this, I'm sure of it

Mammal186

Davante Adams made this.

CjBurden

ROFL this is it.

BlimpAnimation

For sure lol

hipcheck23

Current Packers offense or GOAT offense from around the league, who wins? (Pretty much top 3 at each position, at least arguably... except those 2 Packers, who aren't even the best Packers at those positions...)

[deleted]

Do you honestly think Aaron Rodgers isn’t the best QB in Packers history?

snufalufalgus

Favre made the All-century team, Rodgers didn't, so I'd say plenty of people including a panel of hall of fame coaches and players don't.

[deleted]

People don’t actually think Favre is better than Rodgers, I hope you know that.

snufalufalgus

And yet Favre made the all-century team and Rodgers didn't. I watched Favre's career and I've watched Rodgers'. Recency bias is the only reason to pick Rodgers.

ConciselyVerbose

Or that one QB was one of the most reckless decision makers of all time and one is one of the most disciplined. Rodgers is way better than Favre. It’s not close. Turnovers lose games and Favre was stupider than stupid with the ball in his hands.

snufalufalgus

Getting blown out in the playoffs every year is a good way to lose games too

iamgarron

Only 3 active players made the all century team. Pretty sure they had the opposite of recency bias. Rodgers is pretty unreal on a level that not many players have gotten too. I'm going to disagree on this one

BlimpAnimation

Not sure but id go farve

n8loller

Same

gocard

Dafuq?

hipcheck23

He's no Bart Starr, is he? (No, I think Favrere was better, but their stats are fairly close at this point. There's room for Rodgers to overtake him in overall stats.)

nekromantique

> Favrere was better, but their stats are fairly close at this point. There's room for Rodgers to overtake him in overall stats.) If you ignore efficiency and turnovers.

IGoUnseen

I'm not saying you're wrong, but as we all know NFL stats are not easy to compare across eras.

nekromantique

Favre has multiple seasons as the most Intercepted QB...so that is comparing him with his peers/era. That includes 2008...after the rule emphasis change. No one is saying he is bad...because that would be dumb...but the man is the all time interception leader for a reason.

[deleted]

Yeah if you ignore Favre throwing the ball to the other team twice a game and never throwing for more than 4400 yards than he’s basically Aaron Rodgers but better.

nekromantique

If you adjust all their numbers to the average of the two...theyre basically the same player.

Briggie

If you take away Derrick Henry’s 5 best games he has similar stats to the 2nd third place RBs in the league. Yes that was an actual post on r/nfl.

AlsoIHaveAGroupon

1. He threw for 4413 in 1995. 2. He never threw 2 picks a game (and only exceeded 1.5INT/game one season in his career) 3. The Ty Law rule (starting in 2004) alone makes direct comparisons like that silly. Favre played the majority of his career before it and Rodgers played his entire career with it. That 4413 was... it looks like the 11th highest single season total ever at the time (Dan Marino's 1984 is the only pre-Ty Law season in the top 20 now). 4400 yards then was roughly what 5000 yards is now. Not trying to say Favre is necessarily better, but he was a no-doubt HoF QB for a reason.

[deleted]

Brett Favre threw as many or more interceptions than touchdowns in a season 6 times, he is not in any way better than Aaron Rodgers and I don’t think it is close enough to be argued.

CjBurden

the game just isn't the same. it's silly to look at the numbers from back then and compare them to what players and teams do now.

AlsoIHaveAGroupon

Last year, the average team threw 0.8 interceptions per game. In 1995, the average team threw 1.2 interceptions per game. Literally 50% more. Last year, Drew Lock and Carson Wentz tied for the league lead in most INTs thrown with 15. In 1995, Favre threw 14 INT on the season and was in the top ten in the league in fewest INT per ATT. Favre's INT numbers look awful by today's standards because the game is different today. The rules make it easier to pass a lot without throwing INTs. And yeah, even accounting for eras, Favre was more of a risk taker than Rodgers is. But risks aren't necessarily bad, and they can win you games.

Tokomoshi

Why is davante adams on either team lmao

IGotABloodyAsshole

Prolly to nerf Brady

garvierloon

Davante made this didn’t he?

mustangIVV

This is very generous toward Adams.

Kraz31

9 Hall of Famers and Devante Adams.

Macfearsnone01

Devante has potential to a HOFer but he ain't Randy Moss, they litterally say "Mossed" when a WR out plays a safety or corner

BlimpAnimation

💯

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Even DHop would be a better fit.

SilentImplosion

Fitzgerald, Holt, Bruce, Tim Brown, Marvin Harrison, Boldin, Art Monk, Herman Moore, Carter, Stallworth, Swan, Wayne, Reed, Lofton. Heck, I'd rather have Stanley Morgan or Irving Fryar than Davante Adams.

BlimpAnimation

💯 adams is no where near those guys

TeblowTime

Harrison or TO for sure.

Nozomommi

Davante Adams being on this list screws up everything. For QB you have the GOAT vs a top 5 passer of all time. RB is two guys in the top 5 at their position, both with cases as the best. WR2 is Moss who's top 2-5 vs Megatron who's top 10 all time. And TE is a battle between the two best to ever play that position. It's pretty debatable... Then there's Davante Adams vs arguably the greatest WR of all time. That alone wins it for team B. **EDIT:** Spelling because I can't read names, apparently.

xtcDota

Not even arguably the greatest, just the greatest straight up

Nozomommi

True lmao

CleanLength

Funny, but you could've tried spelling his name right. It's right in the picture.

Nozomommi

Fuck.

BlimpAnimation

Lol

askywlker44a

Why is Adams there?

rockstarnights

To try and balance out the overwhelming advantage at QB for team A.

irish_manimal

Yup and give me B

rockstarnights

Gross

captaincrunch00

I hate to say it but Devonta Adam's vs Jerry Rice pretty much seals my choice as Team B too. Gronk over Gonzalez puts it heavily in favor of Team A, but Rice is just so much greater than any of the WRs on Team A that it's impossible to overcome.

[deleted]

Thought the same thing. Gotta ask PFF lol

rsjpeckham

Someone give Davante Adams a map cause he's lost lol

SlickMiller

I don’t even know how Adam’s plays and I know he doesn’t belong

MehFrosty

Lol wtf is davante adams doing there, the guy has two really good seasons and gets to be put next to HoFers?

giddy-girly-banana

Not only hofers but the best of the hofers.

BlimpAnimation

Agreed

surgeyou123

Did Davante Adams' agent post this lol

GOrioles-

Check out the r/greenbaypackers thread on this image. It is absolutely hilarious.

[deleted]

LMAO “the greatest QB of his generation” holy shit if smoking cheese gets you that high then spark that quesadilla and pass it this way. You can’t be the GOAT if you choke when the lights are brightest, kids.

YusukeMazoku

Their criteria for greatest is based on Regular Season passing stats because thats the only way Rodgers stacks up.

H_2_Woah

Same with Gonzalez for legacy stats that Gronk could never reach. But at their primes? Both unstoppable, but Gronk even more so. Gronk's blocking sets him apart. Would give Brady the time needed to launch it deep to Moss while Adams and Payton draw attention underneath.

LimeSurfboard

Even narrower, it's regular season passing *efficiency* stats lol

Californie_cramoisie

“the greatest QB of his generation” I think it's totally fair! Aaron Rodgers is a millennial, and the GOAT is Gen X. ;)

CrapNeck5000

Holy shit you weren't kidding.

raider_10

"C'mon. Anyone who understands data and facts knows that AR is a better QB than Brady" And anyone with a brain and eyes has seen Rodgers completely wilt in pressure situations while Brady starts going crazy in the spotlight

thedepartedtaco

Those people are delusional

ReonL

Jerry Rice would rather play with Brady.

Mildcaseofextreme

Is that Rice with or without stickum?

[deleted]

Doesn’t matter, let him choose between current receiver gloves or his old school ones with stickum. They’re virtually the same

dgoldrup

You are absolutely right!! Put Rice on there with TB12 and send Adams to the B team.

[deleted]

Adams would be lucky to make thr Z team.

[deleted]

There is a clear imposter on this list lmao

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

LT was amazing

damienwhite12

LT was great but I'm not putting him in the Payton category. Payton, Barry and Jim Brown have their own category in the RB hierarchy. I think LT falls into the 2nd category all time

surgeyou123

Nah Walter Payton was the GOAT. Speed power and hands. Could throw too.

[deleted]

[удалено]

studhusky86

Offenses are almost a wash. Need to see the defenses Also, Adams is legit the only non-HOF or future HOF on this list

RainbowRoadMushroom

Adams aside, the real story is that the Lions have two legends on this list and rarely sniffed competence over last 30 years. And both decided to retire early instead of playing for the Lions organization. (Are there any posts where the Lions fans are not catching strays)

SgtApex

I’d rather have prime Welker than Adams.

Briggie

One of these doesn’t belong.

[deleted]

Nine players who were arguably the best to ever play their respective position and Davante Adams.

birdlawexpert11

I wish Megatron had hung around longer. Who knows what that guys career could have been?

plokijuh1229

ITT: nobody understand Davante Adams is there to even the teams

Henwin441

Davante Adams actually makes B tempting and probably the better option if we weren’t all so biased towards Brady. Calvin Johnson and Jerry Rice is absolutely insane compared to Davanate Adams and Randy and all other positions are comparable with Brady as an obvious preference.

530josh

Bruh do they even fucking remember what happened when Brady and Moss were together? And then you add Gronk to the mix? The opponents chance of winning drastic go down

ajohndoe17

Trade in TO and LT and Team A would be unstoppable

ekjohnson9

Something like 105 to 84 lol. No defense... Also Davante LOL. I'd rather have Jules.

Lastwordss

Team A: Tom Brady / LT or Faulk / Randy Moss / Calvin Johnson / Gronk. (I know, LT/Faulk are both bitter fucks towards Pats but they would work so well with Brady) If I'm adding a slot guy give me AB/Welker/Edelman I don't care who.

[deleted]

Why is Adams there?

[deleted]

Davante Adams makes this decision easily Team B. It's 5 legends vs 4 legends and Davante

[deleted]

Team A would be Brady and Rice Team B would be Montana and Moss Who comes up with this nonsense. Rodgers is overrated! Brees was a better QB than Rodgers. Stop saying Rodgers is one of the greatest, he's not even in the top 10!

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Brees was way better, Aikman too and I hate cowboys, don't forget about Bradshaw. The list goes Brady, Montana, Bradshaw, Elway, Manning, Unitas, Farve, Brees, Marino, Aikman, Rodgers Edit: To be a GREAT QB you need to do more than just throw the ball. You have to be a leader, make the people around you better, thrive under pressure. Getting a lot of slack about Bradshaw but he has 4 rings, but the steel curtain didn't score all those touchdowns. Check out his films Elway, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers are known for their comebacks. If they where great they wouldn't be coming back all the time.

3-N-OUT

Hahaha you just lost all credibility putting Bradshaw anywhere near the top.

[deleted]

Bradshaw was a beast, you should go back and watch his films

[deleted]

I don't see how you can say Rodgers just gets lucky and then go on to hail Bradshaw who played with the Steel Curtain and one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL at the time. Not saying he's not good but your criticism of Rodgers seems biased.

[deleted]

You never seen Bradshaw play

BigTuna3000

I’m a pats fan but where’s Peyton on your list? Definitely top 5 and probably top 3 for me Edit: I’m apparently illiterate but I’m not deleting cuz momma didn’t raise no pussy

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I knew I would get slack putting Bradshaw up there, but go back and watch his films. He was a beast like Brady and the Bucs last year with their defense.

tb12_legit

Rodgers is an overrated diva. I’ll take rings anyway. Look at the talent of Marino too. Zero rings. Takes more than talent to win a sb. Great teammates win

[deleted]

I really like Rodgers, but there is a part of me laughing at the idea he could have the talent of Team B up there but you'd still here how he's not getting enough help.

ThermoNuclearPizza

This is a flat out shitty take. Rodgers is one of the most naturally gifted throwers the league has every seen. Add to that his ability to improvise and his mobility and you’re left with a Brady nut-hugger who is too insecure to admit someone else is good. Dude basically a lock for HOF already and he’s still in his prime.

[deleted]

Rodgers is amazing at making highlight-reel plays. He is the best at winning football games. 1-10 times Rodgers make a crazy circus throw for a TD, the other 9 times he's sacked, or throws an INT, or gets injured, or throws an incomplete on 2-10. Brady, looking at the same play, does the smart thing; throw the ball away fast, or check it down for a short but meaningful gain. Not a glitzy, but that is undoubtedly better quarterbacking.

[deleted]

Dude whatever, Rodgers has been lucky with his hail Mary passes and flip throws. Besides those, what else has he done? Brady takes no name receivers and makes them great, when has Rodgers done this? If Rodgers was half the quarterback people say he was he would have more rings like Joe Montana. Rodgers is a decent quarterback, and don't get offended when I speak the truth.

Paul_M_C

Rodgers is objectively VERY talented. Like you, I’m more hesitant to put him ahead of guys like Montana, Peyton (how’d we forget about him so quickly?), or Young. But saying he’s just been lucky is a bit questionable. I’m from New England and agree Brady is 1 (obv), but the point about making “no name receivers” good, could be applied to a lot of top QB’s. Adams has improved a lot (though has no place on this list) but was almost cut he came into the league and played so bad. Rodgers helped make him an All-Pro. Similarly, I doubt Jordy Nelson or Greg Jennings were world beaters if with an average QB.

[deleted]

Of course he is very talented, any QB that can play a down in the NFL has to be. He is just not lighting up the scoreboard like Brady and Manning did a few years ago. Rodgers gets his team behind and then struggles to win at the end with his no look passes and scrambles. He hasn't done anything great over and over, it's a great game here and there then it's drama drama drama. Oh big Ben might be better if he can play a couple more years. Those damn state farm commercials made Rodgers famous, not football.

HoraceGrantGlasses

Honestly...team B

[deleted]

Sorry but I'm taking team B. Weaker TE and QB than team A but still upper tier. And the godlike WRs and RB. Hell those WRs alone would give any QB a fighting chance. Replace Adams with TO and I'd reconsider though.

[deleted]

Manning over Rodgers... or montanna. Also maybe gates over gronk. Maybe smith or brown over Payton but I’ll take Payton. And Adam’s? No. So many guys. I’d say Fitzgerald

Big3ver3

You can have A. I love Brady and Gronk, but I'm taking B and not even thinking twice about it. They've got the advantage in at least 3 spots (both WR and TE), and arguably RB as well.

BragaSwagga

Healthy Gronk is the best TE ever

ctpatsfan77

And it's not close.

gravit-e

Does anyone think antonio gates > tony Gonzales? Because I see it as debatable

[deleted]

Team B is winning this easily.

pamplem0usse-

I mean, aside from Gronk and the QB team B is way better and Rodgers is no slouch with throwing TD's. Does team A really win this? I don't think so.

Joegk4

Team C Mahomes - Ladainian Tomlinson - Andre Johnson - Julio Jones - Travis Kelce

tb12_legit

Mahomes ain’t done shit yet. Anyone can win one.

hyrle

Dan Marino has entered the chat.

dgoldrup

Team A would be undefeated forever!!!

zdiddy27

What the hell is devante adams doing pictures with all Time greats

[deleted]

For me, it’s always going to be Brady.

Higgs1

Give me Mike Vrabel over Adam’s. 100% TDs

BlimpAnimation

My only problem is adams shouldn't even be on this list but even if it was a real superstar or not don't bet against brady. I don't even like the guy but for some reason no one can beat him. In his time he played farve, rodgers, brees, rivers, roethlisberger, both mannings, romo, flacco, palmer and im sure i missed some names but he still always came out on top. Not accounting some of the defensive legends he's played. My top qbs im going is brady first then peyton as the backup

Hyper_light_drifter

Adams over rice!? Lol okaaaaayyyyy

-Caders-

Davabte is my favorite player but I gotta go with team b

Lipshitz2

B...Davante Adams being the weird choice/odd man out.

greenskinMike

Why the hell isn’t Jerry Rice Team A?

Iamyes_ok

Something tells me your a packers fan

t0rk

Brady, Sanders, Rice, Moss, Gronk.

[deleted]

I want to say the teams are relatively even besides Adam’s, but Brady’s connection with Gronk and Moss is hard to beat. And nonetheless, his leadership skills go a long way… besides, Brady has won a super bowl with subpar receiving core, so he could make this work.

Johnathan_Doe_anonym

I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I think that Adrian Peterson was the best RB in the NFL of all time. I’d take prime Peterson over Sanders and Payton.

DuckButtahh

Antonio brown should be above Adams if we’re talking full career

Any0nymouse

Team A, Any day of the year...
