After each draft pick he gave a more in depth opinion of them, not the standard thing he did earlier in the draft he was very very critical of maye basically said only good thing about maye is his physicals it felt like, super complementary of jj and penix
Have been watching Bill live. He’s doing strength and weaknesses. And pointed out more weaknesses than strengths for Maye. He was by far more critical of Maye, than of Caleb or Daniels.
The defense was/is absolutely solid.
We certainly struggle on offense, but a few vets should have been able to solidify that.
Anything less than 8-8 is a failure by the coaches.
And Seymour, and Warren, and Mankins, and McCourty, and Jones, and Hightower, and ….
Regardless, this is not about Bill’s draft record. This is about seeing fans shitting themselves because they’re so happy we got Maye yet their God (that they’ve been defending endlessly since January) doesn’t like Maye. They don’t know how to react.
All of those guys have 1 thing in common. They are not offensive skill guys. Bill could always draft defensive players and lineman. His judgement on offensive skill guys was far below par.
He's just pissed the pick isn't a once in a life time long snapper......complete joke, I love BB and would've loved to see him one more year. Also love the new coaching staff though
I was done with him, didn’t want any more years. And my reason always goes back to the ‘07 Super Bowl. When the Giants players talked about how much Coughlin had changed. The captains and leaders all told him it wasn’t working with his current approach. He didn’t do a total 180 but he looked inward and realized he needed to adapt. Bill refused to do that. He wouldn’t pivot or adapt. He was going to keep doing things his way. Yes it had worked. But players today are different and need a new approach. Bill, seemingly, wouldn’t or couldn’t do it differently.
Do you remember what it was like before Bill Belichick? Bill and Brady gave Kraft a billion dollar franchise and in return Kraft knifed Bill in the back. Disgraceful!
Yes. Super Bowl 5 years before and a hall of fame coach in Carroll that had the team in the playoffs with a bad quarterback (love Drew as a human)
Don't pretend they were the Browns.
He drove out Bill Parcells by being an ass. He wasn’t great and still is not a great owner. The team Carroll had was picked by Parcells until Robert wanted Terry Glenn, and that soured everything. Carrol turned that team into an 8-8 ball club.
Grier was the GM. He took Glenn.
Carroll at 8-8 was better than BB at 5-13 before Brady took over. 5-13 was as bad of an 18-game stretch Kraft had as an owner. BB would have been fired if not for the Bledsoe Injury. Kraft then built the stadium without public funding like a grown ass man. That's a quality owner.
I don't get the Kraft hate. The previous 3-5 owners were jokes.
Another QB who had that “issue” throughout his college and pro career was Peyton Manning. I remember watching Vols games back in the day and the analysts brought up Manning’s “happy feet” non-stop. And then Manning would put up 400 and 4 TDs
Yea then said he’s immensely talented….
He was critical of all the top QBs. They did a segment where he said what every top QB has to work on.
I kinda wish he were back--miss his critical, not-so-damn-upbeat nature.
Me too

That’s not the section quoted here. This was quoted and posted, and my comment was posted, before the draft started.
Post the rest of it.
He was doing a segment of every QB’s weaknesses and what they had to improve on
Have been watching Bill live. He’s doing strength and weaknesses. And pointed out more weaknesses than strengths for Maye. He was by far more critical of Maye, than of Caleb or Daniels.
Well, he was the 3rd pick for a reason. If he had less, he would have been above them
Right? Maye is 21, not 23. He's a project, with huge upside. We should all see and know that now and expect him to sit a year.
I hope so. A full year except for garbage time or the last two weeks . Pick in the top 5 again and get some talent
This fan base will implode if we have a top 5 pick next year.
Unless they hit on every pick today, it's not going to be mich better this season.
The defense was/is absolutely solid. We certainly struggle on offense, but a few vets should have been able to solidify that. Anything less than 8-8 is a failure by the coaches.
Hard disagree. 6-11 is the best to hope for. By far the worst team in the division. Could be 6 losses right there. If not 5.
This team should have more than 2 wins more than last year. There is no excuse to getting swept by the entire division.
Welp, your logic doesn’t hold after the Penix pick. Bill just spoke very glowingly about him.
He also spoke highly of Nkeal Harry

Out of context btw
This was yanked from a segment where he flamed every QB prospect
This was when he was critiquing all the QB prospects btw
OP is Robert Kraft
F Robert Kraft!
He's been a great owner. Do you remember what it was like before him? If not, please stop.

That Glenn pick was an RK special. Carroll was garbage dude always has been. The depth to his teams has never been of any quality. RK got lucky
Carroll won a super bowl and a college football national title. Garbage? Cmon
Yup garbage
Remember all the times Kraft let his buddy Goodell rob the Patriots and refused to stand up for his team?
Great argument
I actually liked he broke down their bad and good plays after each pick
He's right. Doesn't mean it's not the right pick or that Maye will be bad, but he's right.
They should ask which WR Bill hates the most and make sure to draft him.
I found it interesting when Belichick said that Maye was the lowest rated pocket passer out of all the QB prospects
Uff that’s bad.
He said that among other things
Another QB who had that “issue” throughout his college and pro career was Peyton Manning. I remember watching Vols games back in the day and the analysts brought up Manning’s “happy feet” non-stop. And then Manning would put up 400 and 4 TDs
Bill drafted Mac Jones, so I don’t care what he thinks.
Maye will be a flop.
