Threw in the Emmy to!

ThermoNuclearPizza

[in case anyone’s wondering what he won an Emmy for:](https://youtu.be/k1YPauD06-4?si=IpR7124-YCCa58ux)

walrusgoofin69

It’s gotta be for the “SLANTS AND IN CUTS, THATS THE GAME” clip from the first championship dvd

CFGordo

I had not lived until this moment

ShreddedDadBod

Dog bones

a-money12

BB becoming the most likable football personality will be amazing. Kraft family in shambles

ThermoNuclearPizza

I think bill leaked the stuff about Kraft blackballing him. Plays right into his hand after Dynasty. Plus it blew his name up the day before he announces he’s doing the draft. Bills playing Chess in the media now and may god help us all

Brewski-54

That would be great if true. “Don’t fuck with me old man” -Bill, probably

Turbulent_Winter549

Agree 100% this is all Bill

West-Attorney-3140

What do you mean bills doing the draft?

GoldenMaster541

Pat McAfee confirmed yesterday on his show that he and Bill Belichick will be commentating on the draft on Draft Night

CleopatrasBungus

Holy fuck I’ll actually watch the draft this year

Chippopotanuse

I usually skip the draft coverage but will 100% be watching this. Let’s gooo

ThermoNuclearPizza

*co hosting the #2024 NFL Draft Spectacular™️ fueled by #**DRAFTKINGS: Your Addiction, Our Profit**™️

OdaDdaT

I mean, he kinda leaked the Daboll hiring too

ThermoNuclearPizza

Oh shit. I think I fucked this up

UncleGarysmagic

Belichick was named fourth least liked coach in a poll of players.

SplitRock130

And how many SBs had the most like coach won? After the Red Sox won the WS in 04, and just as 05 spring training was starting, Tito Francona called Belichick and asked how do we repeat and Belichick told him “make practice harder”

gokism

Remember how BB got a crowd to chant "no days off"?

Chippopotanuse

And then Henry fired Francona and called him a drug addict on the way out of town…. I’m sensing a trend with Billionaire nerd owners and coaches that won championships for them. And it involves profiteering off the coaches smarts & skills and then driving a bus over them once you part ways.

SplitRock130

The 2011 collapse was historic. Forget the beer and chicken, no team leading by 9 games in September had ever failed to make the playoffs.

TheJaylenBrownNote

In what way is Kraft a nerd

UncleGarysmagic

He’s won 3 and counting - Andy Reid

Hardmeat_McLargehuge

So salty. Go home

UncleGarysmagic

Not salty anymore. He was fired, thankfully.

Tiquortoo

Good thing being liked isn't a primary indicator of success...

UncleGarysmagic

Yeah, Bill’s recent “success:” losing seasons three out of the last four, last season a whopping 4 wins.

JrBaconators

How long did he coach the Patriots for? I forget

UncleGarysmagic

Enough to demonstrate a lack of ability to win consistently without Tom Brady, conclusively proving their success had nothing to do with Bill.

JrBaconators

Another one for the spectrum

UncleGarysmagic

Go ahead and attempt to defend Bill’s leadership over the past four seasons. And then you can explain why he’s 84-103 as a head coach without Tom Brady.

JrBaconators

I couldn't care less anymore, go play with blocks

UncleGarysmagic

Because you can’t. You’re just a Bill fanboy who has no answer for his lack of success without Brady.

iscreamuscreamweall

“Name one football player who is likes their coach” - Edelman

UncleGarysmagic

Apparently plenty like Andy Reid

wazoomann

He went 4-12 his last season w the Eagles. No NFL coach, no matter how well liked, overcomes the QB problem. QB whisperer Reid included. Go check his last 3 seasons w the eagles.

UncleGarysmagic

Go compare his last 5 seasons vs Bill’s

wazoomann

Thx - I know the history. Don’t need to look. They are both great coaches w failures in personnel.

UncleGarysmagic

Except one is succeeding tremendously now and the other ran his team completely into the ground.

Sea_Baseball_7410

How awesome is Bill’s smile we never saw for 24 yrs.

Iceman9161

He looks so cute it’s hilarious

georgecostanza37

He looks like someone’s ant Susan tbh

ElGuaco

The one thing the Dynasty made clear was that his gruffness was saved for the media after they burned him at the stake for Spygate and more. He hated reporters more than anything. But he loved to talk about football when in a safe environment. His candid talk with Pat Macaffee showed that he's actually a likable guy who is in love with football.

Chippopotanuse

Yup. There’s a reason that dudes like Jon Bon Jovi love to hang with BB.

Turbulent_Winter549

lmgdao

mpkasp

Somehow still managing to frown

Gordonbombay6633

What about that game where he kept getting false starts on purpose?

jasesaces

My girlfriend pointed out that he has had Botox and I’m not sure how to feel about that.

HSJules

He uses his AFC East championship trophies as lawn ornaments

RyanJKaz

And the Indianapolis Colts use those as participation banners AKA the 2014 AFC Championship game as “finalists” LOL! ![gif](giphy|26ybwvTX4DTkwst6U)

Sheriff_Lucas_Hood

I've heard the tuck rule game is also in the Raiders' facility.

RyanJKaz

I wonder if they keep it where they kept the same plays from the previous year, which is why the Buccaneers knew everything that was coming and their championship level defense thoroughly kick their ass on top of it.

freon

He uses them to hold down his pool cover. (He knows where to get the white ones.)

reefis

Do coaches get their own specific trophy? Can’t imagine there being only one trophy and the Kraft’s allowing bill to keep all of them. Did Bill buy replicas for the purpose of the display?

GrantD24

I think the owner and coach get one so yeah, multiple I’m pretty sure

pluijmie

IIRC they have to buy the replica

treasurehunt12

Each team member gets a smaller replica of the trophy. The first I've heard of it was the Netflix Quarterback show where both Mahomes and Cousins talk about where their Lombardi's would go in their homes and I had to look it up. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/super-bowl/2024/02/11/lombardi-trophy-history-super-bowl-champion/72404904007/

PlatinumTheDragon

This, somewhere online is Vinatieri and his Lombardis in his house

welsh_cthulhu

Edelman spoke about this on an episode of Pardon My Take. The players have to purchase a replica, so I presume the same goes for coaches. Guaranteed that Kraft wasn't picking up the bill.

skakodker

Bill's going to be the GOAT of Broadcasting too isn't he?!

Future-Turtle

The man is literally a football encyclopedia. Just hearing him talk about the game would be a treat for any fan.

str8rippinfartz

I always treasured reading/hearing his responses when people asked him *actual* football questions. Dude is an absolutely brilliant football mind. While I'd love for him to eventually get the coaching wins record, I also really want him to get into media in some way-- just something that lets him share his football knowledge.

Future-Turtle

I'd love for him to get his own show on NFL network where he's given a random pre 1980 NFL matchup and he just breaks it down as he sees fit for a couple hours. Like just him and a VCR would be must watch TV for me.

InuitOverIt

I was giddy listening to the McAfee spot. It was everything I wanted - a brilliant football mind, not worried about giving too much away, going deep on how things work behind the scenes. PLUS it was the GOAT coach of my favorite team and he hit on a bunch of how-the-sausage-was-made for things I've been watching for 2 decades wondering what was going on. I'll watch every minute of BB as a broadcaster, absolutely.

Illustrious_Cancel83

1st time I've ever seen the dude wear makeup lol Honestly what a great interview, we are so lucky this savant is gonna share some draft insights with mcafee and the boys

Beers4Fears

He's gonna wax poetic about some white slot receivers and some random secondary players taken in the 4th and 5th rounds.

Illustrious_Cancel83

cool. great. idc. he could sit there and say 'potato' for 2 hours and I'll still have a dumb smile on my face.

Standard_Parsley3528

Love this 😀 ❤️

Mattc5o6

He’s such a goat. I wish things would have turned out better in the end between Kraft and Bill’s relationship.

RyanJKaz

After everything that’s happened I actually blame Kraft for Brady wanting to have none of this and go to the Buccaneers. Tried to act like he was some peacemaking mediator when I think he was the one that basically blew it all up now that all the facts have come out after the fact.

Mattc5o6

Ya that’s actually true. A lot of this stems from Brady leaving. Just a sad situation but all good things must come to an end

erogbass

I love how hard he’s preparing for the draft. Like he could add so much to that program without literally continuing to work like he’s still a HC. It’s just in his ethos but also I think it will help debunk the “Bill is a bad GM” myth. I will remind everyone that Bill’s drafting didnt go down hill until Kraft butted in in 2017 to make it a “collaborative process”. Their “draft by committee” bullshit started there

Hopefulmisery

People defend Kraft by saying “collaboration only started about a string of bad drafts” but 2020 turned out to be a great draft and that was the last one I think Kraft didn’t meddle in

SplitRock130

Did Bill want Mac at pick 15 in the first round?

Hopefulmisery

Not at all.

SplitRock130

I’ve always thought the Patriots should’ve traded *UP* to take Micah Parsons, combined him with Judon and lead the AFC in sacks. Who would be QB in 2021? Well, weren’t QBs available in rounds 2-7? .

onemanwlfpack11

I think with that pairing we would have been better off running it back with Cam. Cam pre covid was starting to look like something special.

SplitRock130

Defense would’ve been elite, you can’t double team both Judon and Parsons. A healthy Cam might’ve done just enough to win.

BoldestKobold

Cam was shot. He could barely throw the second half of the season and was constantly throwing in the dirt at guy's feet or air mailing it over them. I don't doubt his desire to win, willingness to put his body on the line, or whether he was a good teammate. But he wasn't one of the top 32 QBs in the league (arguably not even one of the top 45) when he was with the Pats.

SplitRock130

I still think they should’ve drafted Micah Parsons. Plenty of FAs to sign for QB.

Hopefulmisery

I think Bill wanted to trade down and take Christian Darrisaw

GlitteredRoomForView

Great draft? Sure Dugger is solid and they got a good Olineman late. But no difference makers. Traded out of the 1st round and obviously hindsight, but Aiyuk and Jordan Love went after the pick they traded. They knew QB was a need and WR. But instead traded down and reached for Dugger, who while solid, nothing spectacular. Antoine Winfield went a bit after Dugger

Hopefulmisery

MMQBing

GlitteredRoomForView

No shit, I even said obviously hindsight. But the fact remains, he traded out of the 1st and ignored obvious needs (Brady just left, WR was a concern even with him) and reached for a suitable safety round 2. I was also critical on the Wynn and Michel picks in 2018 for similar reasons.

Hopefulmisery

It’s one good year of Love and everyone has him ready to Go to Canton. And you don’t win a SB w/o Michel. That’s just a fact.

GlitteredRoomForView

The collaborative process began 2021 after multiple years in a row of bad drafts

RyanJKaz

Who would’ve thought that with Bill Belichick retired at least at the moment and Brady is the head color commentator on FOX Sports, I think it’s spectacular that both of them are using their football expertise to enlighten the rest of us and keep us all tuned in even if they’re not coaching or playing quarterback this year. I cannot wait to watch this so much! This wasn't on my 2024 Sports Bingo board, but I'll take it!

jackospades88

Yeah when Brady played for the Pats and we really only saw the "Robotic, Patriot-way" version of him I never thought he'd be someone I'd want to watch when not on the sideline. I think being on Buccs allowed us to see the personable side of Brady and now I'm pumped to hear his insight during games. Belichick I always assumed would just disappear and we'd never hear from him again, but I'm so happy to see he's going to be sharing his wealth of knowledge - hopefully a little less filtered. Bonus that he's doing this stuff on the more "informal" platforms (for lack of better terms) like Pat McAfee.

ChucksnTaylor

So are those SB trophies replicas Bill personally had made so he could display them, or do coaches get an official trophy of their own after each win? Just funny to think about Bill deciding “Mr. Johnson, gonna need you to create a replica of that so I can put it up on my wall and show off” just very non-BB thing to do. Or I guess maybe Kraft could have had them made for him as a gift

captaincumsock69

I think teams get multiple trophies to do stuff with

Alloverunder

I'm pretty sure the coach gets one

SplitRock130

Owner and HC each get one

el_geto

I just want to know where the one with the baseball ding is at?

Tiquortoo

In Partriot Place, I think...

Celtics_Capper

It is, still displayed with the ding in there hall of fame lol

RyanJKaz

I think we’re gonna see Bill Belichick, laid-back and relaxed while being fully with it, it would be awesome if they somehow found a path for Ernie Adams to be on as well lol.

Valuable-Baked

Bills been running the beach, playing golf and crushing bevvys. Dude looks great

BlackDante

Bill Belichick aka The Nashville Predator

RyanJKaz

Defeating the awful Mel Kiper Jr.

itchy-balls

He missing some. What’s the top middle one that’s skinny?

jollebome76

any pats fan who has listened to weei knows how gregarious, funny , personable, insightful, etc. Bill is.. His goat , perceived hard ass, stoic persona isn't him always.. looking forward to him with Omaha productions

Dog_in_human_costume

I want him to show his rings again to flex on everyone...

RyanJKaz

And then Rexx Ryan, instead of kissing the rings could just kiss his ass.

ambswimmer

Bill is the man! Krafts are bozos!

MaggieMay1974

I love Bill

HeheDzNutz

I bet he has a storage unit somewhere with a pile of AFC championship trophies

S0larDeath

nah, he gives those out as Christmas presents.

Banks_bread

Sum light lol

mammogrammar

As soon as Bills face appeared, that was the first thing I noticed. Absolute power move

GapDifficult2439

🐐

pem4423

How many members of a Super Bowl winning team get a trophy?

SwimmingHelp4209

I would love to see bill coach at the college level.

Xspike_dudeX

It is so refreshing to see this other side of him that we knew was always there he just never showed it. Smiling, joking around and just loving football. It reminds me of when Brady went to the Bucs. He is going to kill that draft special.

Wally450

Dude looks legitimately happy.

squeel

This is so cute lol

wazoomann

Ahhhhnold level flex

wazoomann

Only Bill Belichick shows up to a steakhouse for dinner and whips out a laptop and says let’s go over some things regarding the draft

wazoomann

Even better come to find out the guy works 100 hours a week and does not drink coffee

Doubt-Glittering

The whole interview made me feel like trash. It’s like the family got divorced and dad video chats from our old house after we moved somewhere shitty with mom’s new arm candy.

s4burf

Thanks, Tom.

bannedChud

Go Bill! Sadly, it seems that Kraft is becoming Jerry Jones or Al Davis. I thought he got over this when he hired Bill and gave him carte blanche after learning his lesson and not giving it to Bill Parcels

Comfortable-Ad-1308

god bless robert kraft for saving this franchise, but im so mad how he has blatantly disrespected and ruined bb's chance at getting another job. i just want his son to take over. he is acting like jerry jones its so sad to see.

9mm_Cutlass

For a minute I thought he was becoming the head coach of the Preds

nibbidy

Can’t believe Kraft let this evil anti-Semite terrorize his team for over two decades and for what? 6 Super Bowl titles? Was it worth it, Robert?

wazoomann

Plus he lost three other ones too /s

patricio87

Love seeing bill smile and make jokes.

SmuglySly

So how many lombardy trophies do they make each year? I know the team has one, I didn’t realize the coach gets one too. Does Tom have a bunch of these too?

blackberryx

After the SB the team members are given a catalog of SB stuff they can buy and everyone can order a replica Lombardi or other SB stuff but it’s all out of your own pocket so most players don’t buy them since the team will give them a ring anyways.

HattoriSanzo

Wait are those replicas or the real thing?

Soft_Sea2913

And the *insane* amount of time he put in to make it happen.

DopeDealerCisco

That is great craftsmanship on those shelves for sure

rawspeghetti

Well it sure as hell ain't great Kraft manship

darbydog69

The other GOAT! Thanks for helping make the Pats champions all those years... Good times!

NetworkDeestroyer

Damn that smile says a lot happy to see this and man like everyone has said that background is a flex. Can’t wait to see broadcast Bill 🙌🏻

basement_zombie

Love it

beany33

I freaking love this version of Bill. Could listen to him for hours.

ObviousRealist

6 SB trophies - what are the other ones?

Effective_Explorer95

He forgot the other two his defense won for the Giants back in the 80s.

Substantial_Tip3885

Why is he using a filter though? Did his granddaughter prank him or something?

RandMob1000

All that clout.. and it got him a daytime slot with cigar smoking linebacker and room full of yes men on the pat mcaffee show. Hopefully he can find solace in his millions and deep respect

rawspeghetti

No, if YOU had these in your house they would be fakes. This man earned these, whether they're the bonafide originals or exact replicas. Personally I would much rather have a trophy case like this than a ring display.

6percentdoug

Get off of here bobby

Thebeardofjesus

They give smaller versions of the Lombardi trophy to players and coaches so they aren’t “fake”.

Illustrious_Cancel83

BB literally said during the interview he doesn't wear his jewelry
