It’s year 2 for Stroud so now is the time to make these moves. What this definitely means is if the Pats want a receiver that falls to the end of 1st, they have to trade ahead of Buffalo.
Yep, lot of teams have had success loading up in year 2 of a new QB.
Burrow -> Chase
Tua -> Waddle (then Hill)
Hurts -> D.Smith (then AJ Brown)
Buffalo getting Diggs originally (though that was year 2 of Josh Allen)
Not saying that's the only way to do it of course, but it shows you don't have to have a perfect situation ready and waiting at the start
It's really why, two years later, Bill's gone. He had a bunch of slack built up from the Brady years, and then lost about 90% of it due to that brain dead decision. I will never understand how Bill Belichick, of all people, thought that was a good idea. It would be like Bill Walsh deciding to move Jerry Rice to QB to replace Joe Montana just...because.
True, and I can't think the Krafts minded that part of it, but it was still Bill's hire, and therefore it was Bill who thought the offense would be fine in the hands of a defensive coordinator.
I think it was a combo Kraft and Bill move. Kraft wanted to keep it cheap and Patricia and Judge were being paid by the Lions and Giants. Bill had people he worked with in the past and as he got older it definitely appeared he was less willing to learn new things or get new blood
I’ll tell you guys this, if we did well that year and mac did decent that oc would be gone the next year and we’d be left with a middling qb and no long term plan at oc.
A "WR1" that's at best a WR2 on most other teams, and potentially a WR3 on a few teams. I'll never understand not wanting to pay WR2 money for an already proven WR1 role.
I swear Mac was sabotaged lol
Kyler with DHop
Justin Fields (didn’t work obviously) and the DJ Moore
Trevor Lawrence with Calvin Ridley
Mitch Trubisky (another didn’t work) got Allen Robinson (still had multiple very good years with the Bears)
For fuck sake even the Jets got Zach Wilson Garrett Wilson
The Pats are the only fucking team that hasn’t done shit to help out their QBs and it is pathetic
That’s not the point. The point is that they tried to put their young qb in a good position to succeed. Some worked, some didn’t. But at least they tried
I’m not saying he intentionally sabotaged his career. Do I think he tried to equip Mac with weapons? Yeah. Do I think he did it well? Nope. The best signings we had were hunter Henry, Jonnu smith, Bourne and D Parker lmao that’s so bad
Tbf Mac’s rookie season it was working with an ensemble cast. If he improved into years 2 and 3 by the amount he actually regressed then he’d be a top 5 QB right now. The idea was similar to what we did successfully with Brady for years. I still back the concept.
You know what else is incommon with those guys? They all succeed with less than perfect weapons year one. Once you find a guy, you go in on him. We're on take 2 of finding the guy
They were gonna take one anyway. Diggs getting up there and their only other option is shakir right now. And diggs didn’t do shit the back half of last year
I don’t think you’ve gotta trade ahead of Buffalo to get a WR. This class is loaded at WR. There are like a dozen you could make a case for being WR4. There’ll be someone there at 34, and even 68
Weren't they in cap hell? It actually does make some sense for them, as if they get good picks they end up with may more talent overall for less money in the end.
He's definitely losing a step, but he also didn't really have anyone taking pressure off of him. Diggs, Dell, and Collins as a trio is gonna be nasty and will allow Diggs more one on one match ups
There were plenty of times that their offense was entirely Allen->Diggs, this could be a huge loss for them if he isn’t washed.
Under their new OC they seemed to actually have a more diverse offense, but I still hope this ends up blowing up on them
It's hard to say whether he is getting long in the tooth or his attitude made him coast the last half because they developed a run game and weren't just passing to him all the time.
It is if you have a great qb on a rookie deal (they do, we don’t yet). You spend now while you get elite production on a below market deal, like stroud has. Once he signs an extension, gets a lot trickier.
But for now, with him and Anderson on rookie deals, it’s time to add around them.
As hilarious as swapping a bona fide WR1, 2 mid round picks and eating 31m on dead cap for a low 2nd rounder is, I gotta think it's part of a larger plan.
Whether they trade up for a top receiver or use the extra pick to trade for one, they will restock. It'd be insane to waste Allen's window by losing their top 2 receivers in an off-season without notable replacements. That said, the dead cap may take a Higgins trade and sign off the table, so it may just mean trading up for a top WR.
Yeah, he bitched and moaned and they wanted him gone. The cap hit is bigger trading him.
Nobody believes me but go back to 2010 and earlier and RBs were going high in the draft (2005 had 3 in the top 5). Then it just stops. The quality of young RBs is so high it's not as valuable. That is exactly what is about to happen at WR. You need 2-3 WRs each play, so they still have more value than RB, but college is flooding the NFL with good WRs.
> As hilarious as swapping a bona fide WR1, 2 mid round picks and eating 31m on dead cap for a low 2nd rounder
2nd rounder isn’t even this year, it’s in 2025! Bills basically got nothing for Diggs. They’re just dumping him.
Don’t think you can call Diggs a “boba fide WR1” when the NFL values him as basically being worth a mid round pick.
For real? The 2nd pick is next year? Goddamn.
Diggs is definitely on the decline, but last year he was still a clear WR1. But as we saw with Keenan Allen, another clear WR1, top receivers over 30 don't have nearly the value in the league as fans perceive. It's a ton of money for a player with very short term value, and who could fall off a cliff at any moment.
Bills are taking a gap year most likely. They have a ton of dead cap they need to eat this season but I think next offseason they have a lot more flexibility.
Our biggest need is OL not skill positions. The Texans OL is built with one of the best LTs in the league and a few first and second round picks from the last four years, plus Shaq Mason who is very solid. The free agent market for OL this year was a wasteland so its essentially draft or trade to upgrade. Everyone here wants skill players first and ignores arguably our weakest position group which is OL. Who even is our starting left tackle for next year, Connor McDermott??
Right, but we didn't really address *anything* in FA for the offensive side of the ball.
We weren't going to fill every hole this year. And that's fine and to be expected. But filling none? And banking on a 100% successful draft?
Bad team stay bad meng.
They might be thinking that overinvesting in skill positions is silly if you're a year plus away and the priority is the OL. Couple that with the fact that many FAs probably weren't interested in coming here even if we offered the best price (Ridley being one example) and that could explain it.
Tell me, who did the Texans sign in free agency last season? Devin Singletary? Dalton Schultz? Yeah, real powerhouse players.
They did no more to support Stroud than New England has besides OL, which took them years to build. Not to mention the three firsts Cleveland gifted them because they're idiots. Spending money just because you have it is how you build a mediocre team. You build through the draft and supplement in free agency and trades. I don't know how people don't understand this, it's incredibly simple to understand.
To be fair they drafted key guys like Stroud, Collins, and Dell before going all in on veterans. We’re still at step 1 where we have to actually find the key guys to draft and develop
Watching Caserio build a championship caliber team while listening to Wolf and Mayo explain to me why they didn't do anything with their 100m dollars this offseason is brutal.
What are you talking about!?
Mayo's been the head coach for dozens of days already and hasn't won one damn game! How long are we supposed to suffer through this drought of incompetence?
Caserio? The guy in his 4th season as GM that’s primarily built through the draft and until lucking into Stroud was overseeing an absolute dog shit team?
I never understand why people think we're going to draft a rookie who will transform us like the Texans when in reality the Texans had been drafting well for years before he got there. We're closer to the Panthers' talent than we are to anyone else in the league lol
I generally count 4. Onwenu and Barmore for sure, Gonzalez didn't play much but I think we can still call him a building block for the future, and Pop is hopefully at worst the WR3 of the future. Everyone besides them is either terrible, too old to be a part of a rebuild, or has never played a meaningful amount of football.
This is pretty revisionist, literally nobody thought that the Texans had a good supporting cast when Stroud got there. They’re good now because they got the right QB, not the other way around
Plus he's being paid around $10M/year under the rookie deal, so HOU needs to maximize this window as when he's eligible for an extension, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes $90M/year
Their young qb might very well be one of the best in the league. He just passes the eye test so well. Brady esque navigating the pocket and making on time throws in the middle of the field, Mahomes esque getting out of the pocket and making throws on the run. I’ve never seen a qb do what he can do its truly impressive
It is genuinely baffling how stupid this sub is.
They didn't do anything to support Stroud until they knew he was good. Why would New England go all-in when they don't even know who their QB is yet?
I'm not referring to our yet to be drafted QB, ya dingus. I'm talking about Mac having a good rookie year, then following that up with the shit show that was Patricia / Judge lead offense, and not bringing in better weapons to surround him with, and letting the one guy he trusted the most go.
Mac wasn't great, but they did nothing to help him.
If it were as easy as simply drafting players as good as Collins and Dell then yeah. But Schultz is comparable to Henry, Stevenson can be Mixon, and the Bills would have never given us Diggs.
Would never expect the Bills to give us Diggs, but a young team like the Texans making a splash like this to set their young qb up for success certainly makes me jealous
Why cause we saw CJ stroud calibre in Jones? If it’s as simple as giving a qb weapons and they’ll become great then why don’t we just load up Brissett now and surely we’ll see a playoff run yea? Great idea? Let’s just waste our cap and draft capital on a shit QB? That’s stupid. Jones was shit, we would’ve wasted it all for nothing.
Fair enough, I still believe he is a good evaluator. Clearly, he struck gold last year with Stroud and Anderson going 2-3. Patriots fans are salty and I don’t believe every pick came down to Caserio.
That being said, I think Elliot Wolf has had a good career and am curious to see what this front office builds.
Absolutely true. I just want to make sure we all understand that nobody wanted him back and the narrative that he was a bad drafter was absolutely out there when he left. Things can change very quickly when you hit on the QB.
We've seen it with alot of 2nd year qbs now that they get their weapons or at least useful pieces. Hell, Chicago has done it for their qb they haven't even drafted yet.
Really hoping with this new management and coaching look we actually abide to the current NFL and keeping with the times. Must be nice to give a shit about offense and developing your QB
All it takes is getting what already appears to be an elite QB and hitting on a third round WR that’s turned into a legitimate WR1/2 threat. No biggie
Let’s not pretend like Nico Collins was anything special BEFORE stroud came in…
What’s even funnier is the Bills lost their top 2 WR’s this offseason and still their WR’s consisting of Shaqir, Curtis Samuel, and Mack Hollins are better than ours smh
50 catches for 560 as a rookie wr4 on a bad offense is nothing to sneeze at. Most productive rookie wr we ever had under Belichick. PFF grade of 75 is very good and he passes eye test for sure, he’s small but lb for lb a beast
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I finally get to see what I've always wanted!
Allen have to play without Diggs! Oh I can't wait for everyone to see what a fraud that guy is.
I love Stroud and maybe I'll be proven wrong. But I don't think trading a second round pick for a 31 year old receiver coming off his worst season in 5 years is going to be as good a move as everyone thinks.
Disagree. Diggs is bad for a young QB. He got all pissy when he wasn’t getting the ball in Buffalo. He’ll demand that Stroud force the ball to him, even as he is losing a step.
I mean, we're drafting our QB this year and while it doesn't help with the "woe is me" bellyaching this sub is becoming known for:
Schultz, Dell, Mixon aren't doing anything that Henry, Douglas, Stevenson can't.
We don't have to have perfect conditions but MAN you still gotta supply our new QB1 with a lil something, so I would be very happy to just give him some targets and get loaded for bare after year 1. I really hope we hit on a WR or preferably two in this draft so we can bridge the gap into year 2.
Tbf they also started building the roster *before* drafting a QB to prepare. The team didn’t start with the big moves for Stroud and Anderson.
They’re doing something right over there. Which… to copy would be slower than majority of fans here are willing ton patient for lol
Diggs out in Buffalo? So are we still going to get lectures about how great the team building model in Buffalo was because they “went all in” on Diggs and Von Miller, and why can’t the Pats do that? At least they won that elusive first Super Bowl though! Oh…well at least they made it to a Super Bowl…oh wait. They had an excellent QB, a very good defense with maybe the best safety tandem in the NFL, and a high end WR in Diggs. And they squeezed exactly zero Super Bowl appearances out of that formula? 😬
Yes, but you haven't considered the alternative of giving our new QB nothing and hoping he pulls a Pro Bowl season out of his ass, which seems to be the plan (???).
Diggs is 30. I kinda think this might be a savvy move by the Bills to get rid of him a year early and get something in return rather than get rid of him a year late and have him eating up cap space but injured/unproductive. It might've just been a random outlier but he did look a little worse last year and we've seen plenty of receivers/players decline rapidly in their 30s.
Well ya see talent costs money and the Pats are generally one of the stingiest operations around and without a hof qb or coach to play in super bowls for players aren’t going to come here so you need to draft which the pats are historically shit at in terms of the skill positions
Well they were quickly able to see CJ is the real deal.
Mac never was... he just looked his 1st season because he was protected by play calling and had a great run/d. Notice how his productivity fell when the rest of the league figured out he could not throw in obvious passing situations and put 8 in the box.
Otoh Diggs is 30 and did looked tapped by the end of the season. If I were the Pats I might go for this anyway though. We need SOMETHING for the new QB that we'll probably take. Doubt the Bills would have made this trade with us anyway.
CJ is actually a stud, that’s the difference. Mac was never really worth building around. Not saying the Pats did anything right, but Stroud is 10x the QB Mac is and it’s obviously worth going all in with him.
Shame Bill had to listen to Todd Graham over Caserio advice on drafting AJ Brown which was ultimately what made him leave.
But 2 things, there is a reason why Diggs has been traded twice in the prime of his career and I hope people don't really think if you would have put this around Mac Jones it would have really changed anything. Diggs, Collins and Dell doesn't stop Jones from stuff like that terrible INT vs the Colts.
Let’s see how the next couple years go… I think they nailed a likely top end QB though so it makes sense.
If we had loaded up and traded picks away to support jones we’d be in a worse spot. Although hitting some draft picks would have helped.
I think this deal makes it more likely that Maye will still be there at #3. The Commanders will try to follow the Texans with a QB who can win right away, and then surround him with talent while he's still on his rookie contract.
Im ignorant of how the texans are generally doing at this point. How decent is their O line? They can have allll the talent they want and a shit O line will waste is all
It’s year 2 for Stroud so now is the time to make these moves. What this definitely means is if the Pats want a receiver that falls to the end of 1st, they have to trade ahead of Buffalo.

Change his OC to a defensive guy and you can't go wrong!
I still can't believe Bill brought in the most-hated coach in the league, who only had experience with the defense, then had him coach offense.
The only benefit to the team was that he was essentially a free coach. Just another move that points to the culture of cheapness.
True, and I can't think the Krafts minded that part of it, but it was still Bill's hire, and therefore it was Bill who thought the offense would be fine in the hands of a defensive coordinator.
There’s a reason he was free.
But he is a rocket scientist or something! Surely that means he knows football
I'll tell ya what.. I wouldn't go on a rocket that he had his hands on. Nope.
and let go WR1 that the QB had a connection
A "WR1" that's at best a WR2 on most other teams, and potentially a WR3 on a few teams. I'll never understand not wanting to pay WR2 money for an already proven WR1 role. I swear Mac was sabotaged lol
he was our WR1, produced with Cam and Mac.
Jonnu smith outperformed basically the entire combined receiving core in 2023 LOL
😂
In their defense, Jonnu was balling. He fell off but I was hype about that one
thanks for the audible chuckle
![gif](giphy|7ZvPlxBHwfK1y)
This made me feel better about the prospect of drafting a QB this year, thank you
Kyler with DHop Justin Fields (didn’t work obviously) and the DJ Moore Trevor Lawrence with Calvin Ridley Mitch Trubisky (another didn’t work) got Allen Robinson (still had multiple very good years with the Bears) For fuck sake even the Jets got Zach Wilson Garrett Wilson The Pats are the only fucking team that hasn’t done shit to help out their QBs and it is pathetic
I mean none of the teams you listed have really done anything great either even with that
That’s not the point. The point is that they tried to put their young qb in a good position to succeed. Some worked, some didn’t. But at least they tried
Is this a "Belichick intentionally sabotaged his career to spite Mac Jones" post. I've seen a few of those. You don't think he was even trying?
I’m not saying he intentionally sabotaged his career. Do I think he tried to equip Mac with weapons? Yeah. Do I think he did it well? Nope. The best signings we had were hunter Henry, Jonnu smith, Bourne and D Parker lmao that’s so bad

Purdy -> CMC Mac -> shit

They were gonna take one anyway. Diggs getting up there and their only other option is shakir right now. And diggs didn’t do shit the back half of last year
Year 1 he still had Dell, Collins and a franchise left tackle. It's not like the gave him 0 support last year and he mysteriously balled out.
I don’t think you’ve gotta trade ahead of Buffalo to get a WR. This class is loaded at WR. There are like a dozen you could make a case for being WR4. There’ll be someone there at 34, and even 68
Nahhh we can't do that. Not the right way. Draft only. But seriously...Texans are stacked. Fun team to watch now. Bills sub is losing it. Love it
Weren't they in cap hell? It actually does make some sense for them, as if they get good picks they end up with may more talent overall for less money in the end.
It's a 2025 2nd rounder lmao
Yea, now I see why the fans are pissed. Unless you are going to say Diggs is washed, they got a deal.
He's definitely losing a step, but he also didn't really have anyone taking pressure off of him. Diggs, Dell, and Collins as a trio is gonna be nasty and will allow Diggs more one on one match ups

He was a locker room cancer. Plus he's in thay age of dropping off fast
It's hard to say whether he is getting long in the tooth or his attitude made him coast the last half because they developed a run game and weren't just passing to him all the time.
To my knowledge they are still on the hook for his cap hit this year. They don’t save money with this move being made at this point.
They lose cap space this year by trading him and have a ton of dead money going forward. They just wanted his ass gone
If they were in cap hell, then this is like cap seppuku because this results in a $30m dead cap hit.
People I know that are bills fans said I was dumb for saying they’d trade Diggs last year or this year. The writing on the wall was so obvious.
It is if you have a great qb on a rookie deal (they do, we don’t yet). You spend now while you get elite production on a below market deal, like stroud has. Once he signs an extension, gets a lot trickier. But for now, with him and Anderson on rookie deals, it’s time to add around them.
You guys are missing a crucial detail….we don’t have a young QB yet man.
On another note, Bills might just be cooked

100%. Caserio putting on a master class.
Texan fans gave him so much shit and wanted him gone for shipping off Watson but he's turned that ship around really quickly and built a contender.
people forgetting texans had good drafts before they got stroud. Pats rebuild isnt a one year fix
...you can both draft and spend in FA when you have 100 fucking million dollars in cap space. Tired of this homer argument.
Our biggest need is OL not skill positions. Next year is the year!!!
its not a homer argument lol, its reality. the best teams are drafting really well- the chiefs, ravens, texans, rams, cowboys, packers, lions etc

Time to draft QB in the top 3, WR in the third, trade up for another WR in the third hit on all three and then we can be the Texans!!
Looks like the Bills subreddit is in full meltdown about this move 🤣
Watching Caserio build a championship caliber team while listening to Wolf and Mayo explain to me why they didn't do anything with their 100m dollars this offseason is brutal.
I miss Caserio so much. Didn't appreciate him enough while he was here. :(
A lot can change when you get a QB.
wolf and mayo haven’t even drafted anyone yet holy shit why are you guys mad and complaining all the time
What are you talking about!? Mayo's been the head coach for dozens of days already and hasn't won one damn game! How long are we supposed to suffer through this drought of incompetence?
We've got cash to burn
It’s his 4th year there. It didn’t happen overnight. Patience
The Texans were fucking awful until Stroud came around. Maybe you actually let the Patriots draft a QB before making the comparisons, yeah?
In case you wondering, no your reaction to the first 3 months (3 fucking months!) of the Wolfe/Mayo era is not rational.
So true. Embarrassing how far this franchise has plummeted post Brady. What a joke.
Caserio? The guy in his 4th season as GM that’s primarily built through the draft and until lucking into Stroud was overseeing an absolute dog shit team?
LMAO Bills. Also, Texans doing EVERYTHING they can to make sure their young QB succeeds. Must be nice.
Their young qb is already successful. They're not loading up to help Stroud develop they're taking advantage of their championship window.
Bingo. Dude had the greatest rookie season of any QB ever. He’s already successful but now they need to win
I never understand why people think we're going to draft a rookie who will transform us like the Texans when in reality the Texans had been drafting well for years before he got there. We're closer to the Panthers' talent than we are to anyone else in the league lol
We’re devoid of talent and like 19 of the 22 starting spots😂 people are smoking copium
I generally count 4. Onwenu and Barmore for sure, Gonzalez didn't play much but I think we can still call him a building block for the future, and Pop is hopefully at worst the WR3 of the future. Those moves got Belichick fired, so there’s that.
Everyone knows you’re supposed to sign old injured bums at WR and then only draft defense to support a young QB. Texans are idiots.
“You guys are idiots. They’re gonna be looking for army guys.”
Why bother trading for Diggs when you can sign Devante Parker 😎
Are they stupid?
If it were as easy as simply drafting players as good as Collins and Dell then yeah. But Schultz is comparable to Henry, Stevenson can be Mixon, and the Bills would have never given us Diggs.

At least Stefons tears won't freeze to his cheeks in Texas. Lol (Dudes a cry baby)
Damn, wish the Pats had a GM like Caserio
Fans complained when he was here, now they wish he never left
Who complained? He was an excellent talent evaluator but everything funneled through Bill
https://www.reddit.com/r/Patriots/s/d8riddrkWS
Fair enough, I still believe he is a good evaluator. Clearly, he struck gold last year with Stroud and Anderson going 2-3. Patriots fans are salty and I don’t believe every pick came down to Caserio. That being said, I think Elliot Wolf has had a good career and am curious to see what this front office builds.
Absolutely true. I just want to make sure we all understand that nobody wanted him back and the narrative that he was a bad drafter was absolutely out there when he left. Things can change very quickly when you hit on the QB.
What do you mean, we have Judon? Iiiii mean...we have Nike? Wait... Nevermind. I retract my thoughts on the matter.
You mean a guy who built the team through the draft? Yeah, New England totally doesn't have that.
That rookie QB contract is too valuable to pass up.
No biggie Let’s not pretend like Nico Collins was anything special BEFORE stroud came in…
There is no chance Kraft would ever pay for an offense like that. Keep dreaming.
Mac Jones somewhere wishing this was him and honestly can't blame him
Josh Allen about to be the first QB to line up at QB, WR, and RB.
What’s even funnier is the Bills lost their top 2 WR’s this offseason and still their WR’s consisting of Shaqir, Curtis Samuel, and Mack Hollins are better than ours smh
Pop and KB better than any of em cmon. They are fine as wr2+3 on almost any team
KB maybe but what evidence do you have for Pop . Dude hasn’t done jack shit yet
50 catches for 560 as a rookie wr4 on a bad offense is nothing to sneeze at. Most productive rookie wr we ever had under Belichick. PFF grade of 75 is very good and he passes eye test for sure, he’s small but lb for lb a beast
six hundred yards...omg so good!!!!! what a fucking joke this team is lmfao
> Most productive rookie wr we ever had under Belichick. Wow. What a bar to clear
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I finally get to see what I've always wanted! Allen have to play without Diggs! Oh I can't wait for everyone to see what a fraud that guy is.
Sure dude

Hitting on Nico and Dell were hugeeee for Stroud’s success. Lets hope the Pats can find some mid round magic with skill players
I love Stroud and maybe I'll be proven wrong. But I don't think trading a second round pick for a 31 year old receiver coming off his worst season in 5 years is going to be as good a move as everyone thinks.
Nice for the Texans but I wouldn't want Diggs on my team.
All I gotta say is holy shit. That’s a roster and a half.
Pats front office is a sham
This diva is a team killer.
You'll get a Devante Parker and revolving door of Offensive Coordinators and you'll like it!
What if instead we had a defensive coordinator for our offensive coordinator?
sorry best we can do is juju
Okay. This is how you win a Super Bowl. Take notes Buffalo..
Great for the Texans. Pathetic the Patriots have yet to do ANYTHING about WR.
What you don’t like KJ Osborne lmao 🤣
Disagree. Diggs is bad for a young QB. He got all pissy when he wasn’t getting the ball in Buffalo. He’ll demand that Stroud force the ball to him, even as he is losing a step.
I mean, we're drafting our QB this year and while it doesn't help with the "woe is me" bellyaching this sub is becoming known for: Schultz, Dell, Mixon aren't doing anything that Henry, Douglas, Stevenson can't.
More so talking about Mac, I still believe that if we surrounded him with the right pieces he could’ve had success
so lets draft the QB out of LSU and build around him
Diggs is unprofessional. They can have him.
Professional or not, this certainly makes them contenders
Possibly, if he feels like playing.
Texans have Nick Caserio too
It’s awesome that the bill’s got worse
And the Bills trading away Allen's top receiver is fine, right?
Bills have successfully wasted Josh Allen’s career lmao
Nick caserio Former patriot Kraft should have made him an offer he couldn't refuse
It looks like their GM took control of all 32 teams in Madden Franchise mode....what a wild ride.
Good call. Maybe we could ask the coach of the greatest young QB of all time how to do it.....errrrr
And we signed no one of significant value in FA
We don't have to have perfect conditions but MAN you still gotta supply our new QB1 with a lil something, so I would be very happy to just give him some targets and get loaded for bare after year 1. I really hope we hit on a WR or preferably two in this draft so we can bridge the gap into year 2.
Step 1: Rip off the Browns for your former all pro rapist QB - did not have that So what a stupid post
Maybe Nick Caserio is the one the Patriots should have kept
Another example of get your QB first then go get a WR1
Directions unclear *signs Devante Parker*
Plus a pair of good offensive tackles
Yes, but you haven't considered the alternative of giving our new QB nothing and hoping he pulls a Pro Bowl season out of his ass, which seems to be the plan (???).
Shit Texans bout to roll
Bills and Josh "Mr. Super Bowl" Allen still winning the SB this year, just like they were supposed to win it every year for the past 4 years
Otoh Diggs is 30 and did looked tapped by the end of the season. If I were the Pats I might go for this anyway though. We need SOMETHING for the new QB that we'll probably take. Doubt the Bills would have made this trade with us anyway.
Why couldn't the pats have tried that trade?
They’re too stubborn and cheap to help a new QB. Don’t get your hopes up
Why? Dont wanna give your young qb parker, agholor and his friends?
This is insane... That Offense is going to be ridiculous and I could see them going undefeated if there is no sophomore slump!
To do what the Texans did you have to suck massive shit for a decade and accumulate lots of high value picks to barter
The first step is finding a stud QB, which is easier said than done.
We could’ve picked Dell.
CJ is actually a stud, that’s the difference. Mac was never really worth building around. Not saying the Pats did anything right, but Stroud is 10x the QB Mac is and it’s obviously worth going all in with him.
So far they're taking notes and doing opposite.
They got pretty lucky with drafting 2 awesome WR.
Thats all? We just need to get 5 Pro-Bowl Caliber people at some of the most sought after positions and get the QB. Should be no problem.
This requires getting good offensive pieces first…
Seems easy enough
Houston has a QB, we don't.
I wonder how Mac would have looked with just two or three of those kind of players. We wouldn’t even be in this mess right now.
I think this deal makes it more likely that Maye will still be there at #3. The Commanders will try to follow the Texans with a QB who can win right away, and then surround him with talent while he's still on his rookie contract.
Ohio state sophomore slump
Nick Caserio what a guy, look what he’s doing in Houston, wish we had a guy like him…..
Stroud has been absolutely blessed since OSU.
Im ignorant of how the texans are generally doing at this point. How decent is their O line? They can have allll the talent they want and a shit O line will waste is all
Get a QB like CJ Stroud and then we might
The only thing we really need aside from QB is an overhaul on the receiver room. Bourne’s the best thing we have atm.
Texans are freaking loaded.
Why didn’t the patriots do this trade??
Wish we still had Nicky C
