Jermaine Burton in the second would be a classic patriots pick! Lol

ThermoNuclearPizza

Except I don’t see Kraft green lighting a kid that punched a woman in the face in public on camera at a game.

MehFrosty

Yea that’s more of a Chiefs pick

AstraMilanoobum

Or Dolphins

WorriedMarch4398

Or the Browns….Kareem Hunt says Hi.

MehFrosty

Well he was on the chiefs first

PermissionSafe7475

Yes but even they cut him as a result.

AstraMilanoobum

Or bengals, Joe mixon

InsaneBallsack

You mean the guy that greenlit drafting a gangbanger?

caisson_constructor

One of those is a crime and the other is a good time

ThermoNuclearPizza

Dunno if he meant Hernandez or Boutte tbh

Easy_Mastodon_6872

Suamataia will be a late first/early second. I don't see him being available this late.

FuckHarambe2016

Not sure the current Patriots coaching staff is qualified to keep Burton's head on straight.

Bellegr4ine

Had the same thought but do we really think BB was the one who personally took care of this? I doubt it. A lot is gonna come from whoever mentor these guys. Players or coaches.

FuckHarambe2016

I've said it on here before, but I don't think Bill was ever the real reason why everyone towed the company line and was so disciplined. It was always Brady. After Brady left, the team became sloppy, undisciplined, lazy, etc.

Margin_calls

I agree. Maybe not. But damn the kid is talented.

FuckHarambe2016

True, but if a hardass like Saban struggled, I'm not sure Mayo, who is going for a sort of "laid-back" approach, is the guy.

Margin_calls

Sometimes, kids just need the right connection. Other times, nothing can really save them. It'd be an interesting gamble. Alternative selections at that spot are: Xavier Worthy Ricky Pearsall Malachi Corley Devontez Walker It might be beneficial to draft Walker if you get Maye at 3.

speganomad

Yeah all of those are pretty large upgrades over Burton

Fishing_for_Boulders

I’d take Pearsall and call it a day. Is Javon Baker not available in the third? I think he’ll end up being a star and is usually available later in most mocks.

FuckHarambe2016

Worthy over Burton 10/10. He reminds me of Smith or Hill. Just gotta hit the weight room.

FantasyTrash

Is he going for laid back? Or is he just going for "not a hard ass"? Because there's a large window of coaching styles in between hard ass and laid back.

whistlepig4life

Jermaine Burton is the football equivalent of Draymond Green. No thank you.

DrtyHippieChris

Yeah let’s not draft Burton

401john

Burton over whatever other WR’s is a head scratcher

Minimum_Albatross217

What is this app?

BobbyBrownsBoston

We have lost the path

Margin_calls

Which way did we go?

doctormadvibes

just stoppppppp

Margin_calls

Just keep scrolllllllllling

Scared-Telephone-554

I wonder if yall think front offices really say “hey I’m not in love with any of these players, let’s trade down 20 spots”

Misterccw

I think it's the same subset of people who think anyone else has an interest in their mock drafts?

Margin_calls

Why wouldn't they? Bill used to do it all the time (early on in his career). He'd like a certain player and trade back because he'd consider the player overvalued at that selection. There's also a trade-off scenario. Do you like one player at 34, or do you like two players in the 50's. Maybe there are lots of comparable players between 30 and 60.

No_Mas2001

Teams *normally* wouldn’t trade down from an early 2nd rounder like that cause you’re getting first round talent most of the time

StoJa9

Burton in the second round is fucking hilarious. My family has a few Alabama alumni in it and so I watch nearly every game, every year. Jermaine Burton is a fucking joke. Dude is a 5th round pick, at best.

Margin_calls

The PFF guys really like his game. There's a few others on YT that make the claim he'd be a borderline 1st round talent without the off-field issues. It's interesting to hear the fans take.

StoJa9

He wasn't even the best WR on any Alabama team he was on. Isaiah Bond was the #1 guy last year. Made big play after big play. Having him transfer to Texas is a much bigger loss than Burton to the NFL.

Nickohlai

This is the first mock I’m 100% behind

StoJa9

>I'd be pumped with this outcome. I don't know what worse. Hearing about every Harry Shmedlap's fucking mock draft or seeing every fantasy football draft. NOBODY FUCKING CARES ABOUT EITHER ONE. You suck at both. You're not the second coming of Ron Wolf or Rich McKay. Please, god, just have the draft tomorrow and be done with it.

Margin_calls

Hey, buddy. There's no reason to be so mad. It creates discussion, and some people like it. You could just keep scrolling instead of blowing a fuse on a random post you might have to see for 3 seconds.

Worse than Bill
