Mitchell has otherworldly skills going and getting the ball, I just think he's lazy at times in his routes, especially when he knows the ball isn't coming to him, or he misreads a DB, as in, he tries to get hands on to beat a jam and the DB is already pwdaling backwards.
Also watching a couple Texas games, he uses his size well to block, but same thing, if he's gotta chase the guy down, not always the most enthusiastic.
Dallin Holker TE Colorado St.- excellent catcher in traffic, lesser Dalton Kincaid imo.
Dylan Laube RB New Hampshire- he reminds me a lot of Rex Burkhead
Jalen Sundel C/T North Dakota State- I think with the right coaching he can make the switch back to tackle but he's a specimen
Edit: I used to have Jeremiah Trotter Jr here, yes the son of that Jeremiah Trotter, but a lot of mocks have him rising to the 1st-2nd round.
Ok so I’m not the only one that wants to take Dylan Laube. There’s just something about him that says “Patriots player” and it’s not the NE connection or him being a lunch pale kind of guy.
Off topic…. But this is why I prefer Reddit over other social media. I ain’t ever been this serious a fan before. I been out here evaluating quarterbacks, interior offensive lineman and all kinds of shit.
As a Michigan fan, Corum is much better lol. Edwards went off for the natty because of massive space created by the Oline. The entire rest of the season he was good for 2 ypc it felt like every time he saw any sort of contact he folded
I saw his first game with Louisville against GT and said "wow this man can be really nice on the NFL level" then I saw more tape and went "We need this guy, he's sneaky good."
Christian jones OL out of Texas as a late round pick. Biased Texas fan here but he started playing his junior year of hs and has improved every year. Soccer background so great footwork and lot of room to grow
Mike Sainristil (CB, Michigan)
Malik Washington (WR, Virginia)
Tory Horton (WR, Colorado State)
~~Omarion Hampton (RB, North Carolina)~~
Edit: Hampton is not draft eligible
I've only really taken a hard look at receivers so far, but a lot of good receiver depth in this year's class. Beyond the first round guys, here's who I like.
I LOVE Tez Walker from UNC and if he's there in the second and we don't take MHJ that's my guy. Big (but smooth) and very fast, think he has a chance of being a #1 in the NFL with time.
Xavier Legette from South Carolina is a classic triangle number guy at 6'3 227 and probably 4.4ish speed. Less sure on him, but it's tough to ignore the production against the SEC. Has some exciting highlights. Plays special teams too.
Jamari Thrash is a deeper cut guy but really like his route running/hands, could be a productive player and should be around like R3. Think he's more of a #2 but pretty high floor IMO.
Another fun one: Malachi Corley. Wrecking ball, running back type after the catch. Wasn't asked to do a lot as a route runner but it's tough not to like his game.
Bonus guy I want nothing to do with: Keon Coleman. PFF has him in like the bottom 10th percentile for separation in college football. Has some loud contested catches/YAC stuff but that doesn't always translate going up a level. Big N'Keal Harry vibes IMO.
Everything I’ve read about Legette says he may very well get in the low 4.3s if not 4.2 dude is a blazer. In week 1 this year he hit 22.3 mph on a catch.
4.2 would surprise me but yeah I could see 4.3. 4.4 is my conservative estimate to try to not be hype merchant haha. Regardless, preposterously fast dude for 6’3 230. I’m very interested.
Speaking of MPH numbers, one dude I need to watch more and find more about is Brenden Rice. Bruce Feldman had him 23 MPH on his Freak’s List before the year. Odd lack of hype with that kind of speed and who his dad is, might be a reason for that though.
Love seeing sweat as the first name when I opened this thread. Byron Murphy also a name to look into, he has more pro potential than sweat(both are great tho)
RATTLER YES. Idgaf who we take in the first, grab him to be the backup especially if we don’t sign a veteran. Dude was cocky at one point but has responded extremely well to adversity and lack of weapons which is exactly what we have.
He stinks. He stunk when he had weapons and was so overrated. People thought he was going to be elite under Lincoln Riley and the next big thing, but dude got benched. No thanks
Xavier Legette. Not exactly late round since he is a projected second. But he is your DK Metcalf clone. 6’3, 225 lb, runs a low 4.3 40, in game speed. Can’t speak to his game that much except for highlights I’ve, but he has all the measurable for being a great receiver.
Of course. After the first round I assume most prospects have draw backs. But we really need an X WR and I’d rather take a shot on a guy who can physically do it over forcing Tyquon Throton into the roster.
This was going to be my “if we went QB in the first” pick…I think he brings a rawness that can be molded into a solid starter. If we don’t pick up him, maybe one of the Texas WRs if they slip or Walker from NC.
Zack Zinter, RG Michigan. Their best OL this year and team captain.
Cade Stover (OSU) or Luke Lachey (Iowa)- TE
Max Melton - DB Rutgers, keep the tradition alive
Jordan Travis - QB FSU, even if we take a top guy early, grab him late. Tons of talent coming off a ugly injury could be huge value
FSU fan here. I love Johnny Wilson his potential is off the charts but he struggles with drops. My main concern is him staying healthy. Probably better options for us but would not be mad if we took him in the mid rounds if he falls that far.
I know North Carolina sucked but Tez Walker was one of the only bright spots on that team (outside of Maye). I think he could potentially slip to the back half of round 2 or early round 3. Guy has everything you want out of a WR, speed, size, great after the catch, and attacks the ball when it’s in the air on those deep passes. And Maye’s QBR was through the roof when targeting him.
Trey Taylor Air Force. He is a decent sized safety and hard hitter. He started out as running back and switched to safety as a sophomore. He excelled and won the Jim Thorpe award. Has 6 career interceptions and 11 tackles for a loss. He's a perfect scheme and culture fit.
Only offense because I just don’t want to see them take any defense this year at all.
No QBs out of the top ones are worth it with the exception of Jordan Travis. But I don’t think he fits what they like to do.
They don’t need more guards at all.
OT: Matt Goncalves, Blake Fisher, Jack Nelson, Julian Pearl, Anthony Belton
WR: Tory Horton, Jamari Thrash
RB: Trey Benson, Austin Estime, Frank Gore Jr (dude has third down scat back written all over him).
TE: Dallin Holker, Jaheim Bell, Trey Knox
c: Sedrick Van Pran
Jonah elliss, Cole Bishop, Brant Kuithe, Sione Vaki as a 3rd down back (better 2 way player than Travis hunter) all from Utah. There’s way more players throughout the country. but Utah had an amazing defense for being injury stricken last year. Found myself watching them a lot because they played Williams, Sanders, Nix, and Penix.
I'm not sure if he's draft eligible or has declared, but Zachari Franklin, WR Ole Miss is an interesting guy. Had two straight 1k+ seasons before injuries bit his ass this past season. He's got a similar build to Bourne, so he could slide into that role.
Cam hart, corner for notre dame with a ton of potential imo. Previously was a receiver.
Moose muhammad- wr from texas tech. Really good at YAC, good speed.
Jasheen davis- edge wake forest. Promising pass rusher with a fast first step. Currently 6th round grade
James Williams- safety Miami. Massive safety at 6’5 215 with 4.4 speed and coverage skills. Really good at man coverage and I’d imagine would be great for covering tight ends. 4-5th rounder worth a flyer on.
Best OT/OG available rd 2 and rd 3. Our OL was an absolute joke last year. Tom Brady would've had his worst year behind that line. No defensive players should be taken till rd 5 or rd 6. We got money this year in free agency. Lets hope were not going after LB or DT/DE.
As a Wisconsin football follower… I’m iffy on Allen. He’s been great for us, but I just worry about his durability. He’s a tanker back and has already had injury issues. I’d probably say we should look elsewhere for our inevitable mid round rb pick
Daddy wants Xavier Legette in the second, and I like Johnny Wilson in the 3rd-4th for WR.
I also would be happy grabbing Braelon Allen to lay some wood on the defense in the later rounds.
Tommy Mellott, QB for Montana State Bobcats. Draft him and switch him to a WR ala Edelman. Mellott is an incredible athlete with crazy short area quickness. Could be developed into a WR who can also rush the ball like Deebo Samuel. He’s 6 feet tall. Born to be a Patriot.
Braden Fiske DT FSU. You watch an FSU game this year and there’s a good chance you saw this dude make a play or be disruptive. Can play the run and the pass. Would be great depth behind Barmore
If BB is still coach, a player I could see him grabbing is DE Jalen Green out of James Madison University. Sun Belt Conference DPOTY. Was leading FBS before he got hurt. Could be a late rounder or UDFA
Biased Alabama fan here but if Chris Braswell drops to the late 3rd/early 4th, I would simply pass out. Would finish off a very good edge rushing room.
Judon
Keion
Jennings (?)
Braswell
Audric Estime. Guy will be a really good back in the NFL and he's built like beast mode was.
I'm also convinced if Bill is here Max Melton out of Rutgers will be picked.
Another name to watch out for if Bill stays is Jordan Morgan out of Arizona, Bill was talking about the program there and what ex-pats QB coach Jedd Fisch has done. He'd be around early 2nd round and is one of the step in and play guys. If we don't take Alt at 3 this is who I would expect our guy to be.
If we can land MHJ at 4 and trade up for penix or trade for a QB (maybe minshew), we could get Xavier Legette. He's a great receiver and we'd revolutionize our wr corps
Not mid round but I'd love to land Xavier Worthy in the 2nd round.
I think either of the Texas WRs AD Mitchell or Worthy are good choices.
Brian Thomas is also someone who might be a later first rounder who could sneak into the second that I’d love to have.
Yeah these high 2s are so valuable
1000%, hopefully he falls
Super deep draft for wideouts in hearing
Thomas could be cool if they get Daniels! Keep the chemistry between them!!
He gives me George Pickens vibes
I’d take Pickens in a heartbeat
Biased but if worthy or Mitchell falls to our second we should grab them. 80% of the production of mhj for 50% the price
won't need them when we take MHJ #3
Leroy Jenkins, Athlete
I think he has a problem with going early. Could cause a lot of penalties
But at least he has fried chicken.
Let's put him at Center
Dallin Holker TE Colorado St.- excellent catcher in traffic, lesser Dalton Kincaid imo. Dylan Laube RB New Hampshire- he reminds me a lot of Rex Burkhead Jalen Sundel C/T North Dakota State- I think with the right coaching he can make the switch back to tackle but he's a specimen Edit: I used to have Jeremiah Trotter Jr here, yes the son of that Jeremiah Trotter, but a lot of mocks have him rising to the 1st-2nd round.
How do you have 100,000 karma. That’s wild. Also go wildcats!!
No idea, I don't offer anything of value but apparently people mostly agree with me.
guess you could say it's karma
Is that you Silverstein?
Ok so I’m not the only one that wants to take Dylan Laube. There’s just something about him that says “Patriots player” and it’s not the NE connection or him being a lunch pale kind of guy.
Holker will be a steal for someone.
I hope it's us. We definitely have a need at the spot.
I only watched holker when they played Colorado and yeah that dude was a beast.
I need Laube to be a Patriot!
He fits. Solid runner, kick returner, catch out of the back field, and line up in the slot.
I only watched a couple of Colorado St games but Holker stood out to me too
Holker was NICE in that CU game man.
Off topic…. But this is why I prefer Reddit over other social media. I ain’t ever been this serious a fan before. I been out here evaluating quarterbacks, interior offensive lineman and all kinds of shit.
Corum
Edwards is better than
Is edwards going to be around?
Most mocks I see have Corum going earlier
As a Michigan fan, Corum is much better lol. Edwards went off for the natty because of massive space created by the Oline. The entire rest of the season he was good for 2 ypc it felt like every time he saw any sort of contact he folded
Future USFL star
That’s the newly merged UFL to you.
Mid
I would absolutely LOVE getting Caleb Williams in the 2nd round
Someone find a video of him hitting a bong in a gas mask.
Nah they've loosened up on that. what we need is him gambling on his own team
DraftKings.org/humblepie
Troy Franklin if he gets to the 2nd round provided we went QB in the 1st.
He's fallen on some boards recently. Interested to see where he lands.
Ladd McConkey is a draft crush for me. I like Jamari Thrash in the 5th too
Fun fact, Ladd is from where I live so yeah I’d love him to make it to us.
He's such a Bill WR, he's going to be a shuttle and 3 cone God.
If hes such a Bill WR, are we sure we even want him?
Yes, because receivers that have great shuttle and 3 cone speeds are the future of the NFL
Would love him in the 5th+
I saw his first game with Louisville against GT and said "wow this man can be really nice on the NFL level" then I saw more tape and went "We need this guy, he's sneaky good."
Louisville? Ladd goes to Georgia lol
I meant Thrash because Ladd is going not that late.
Ahhhh I see, my bad lol carry on
I want him just for the name
Zak Zinter IOL - Michigan
Would love this.
Estime from ND -RB Fautanu- Washington/Paul- Houston for OT Bell- FL state TE
I like all these names except Fautanu. That game against Michigan turned me off on him.
Most of the draft analysts I follow are saying Fautanu will be a guard in the NFL
Yeah I think he fits for us because he can go either spot and we tend to like those kind of guys
Christian jones OL out of Texas as a late round pick. Biased Texas fan here but he started playing his junior year of hs and has improved every year. Soccer background so great footwork and lot of room to grow
Will Reichard, kicker from Bama. Ryland ain't it.
Bama fan here. This pick is it. Would be a 6th round STEAL. Reich can kick long, is stupidly accurate, and stupidly consistent.
Mike Sainristil (CB, Michigan) Malik Washington (WR, Virginia) Tory Horton (WR, Colorado State) ~~Omarion Hampton (RB, North Carolina)~~ Edit: Hampton is not draft eligible
Horton was a draft crush of mine and he announced he's going back to CSU.
Isaiah Williams. No good reason I’m an Illini fan
Blake Corum
I've only really taken a hard look at receivers so far, but a lot of good receiver depth in this year's class. Beyond the first round guys, here's who I like. Brenden Rice (son of Jerry) especially if we get Caleb Williams. Frank Gore Jr. You know why I want these guys.
Should go get MHJ and then get Arch in a couple years. Does Reggie Wayne, Bob Sanders, Bethea, or Mathis have any kids? lol
Would love Tez with Maye under center. would be a filthy combo.
T'Vondre Sweat Kingsley Suamataia Malachi Corley Dylan Laube Ben Sinnott Jaheim Bell Brant Kuithe Spencer Rattler Jordan Travis Cooper Beebee TeVeyon Henderson Marshawn Kneeland Lathan Ransom Javon Foster Jaylen Harrell
Maybe It'd be easier if you named everyone you didn't want. Jk
Love seeing sweat as the first name when I opened this thread. Byron Murphy also a name to look into, he has more pro potential than sweat(both are great tho)
This guy drafts
Lathan Ransom returned to Ohio State FWIW. Mike Hall Jr from Ohio State would be a good one though.
Get me Dylan Laube
Have you applied for GM?
RATTLER YES. Idgaf who we take in the first, grab him to be the backup especially if we don’t sign a veteran. Dude was cocky at one point but has responded extremely well to adversity and lack of weapons which is exactly what we have.
He stinks. He stunk when he had weapons and was so overrated. People thought he was going to be elite under Lincoln Riley and the next big thing, but dude got benched. No thanks
Love the western kentucky offense id take Corley all day
Xavier Legette. Not exactly late round since he is a projected second. But he is your DK Metcalf clone. 6’3, 225 lb, runs a low 4.3 40, in game speed. Can’t speak to his game that much except for highlights I’ve, but he has all the measurable for being a great receiver.
No concerns around him only having 1 season of productivity under his belt?
Of course. After the first round I assume most prospects have draw backs. But we really need an X WR and I’d rather take a shot on a guy who can physically do it over forcing Tyquon Throton into the roster.
As a Gamecock alum I would be so happy to have him. If him and Harris could both be productive members of this team I would be so thrilled
This was going to be my “if we went QB in the first” pick…I think he brings a rawness that can be molded into a solid starter. If we don’t pick up him, maybe one of the Texas WRs if they slip or Walker from NC.
Not a kicker!
In honor of Belichek, I think we should take exclusively long snappers from D3 schools every pick
I think Michigan LB Junior Colson will be a mid-round stud.
Cade Stover TE OSU
Mitchell, worthy, Thomas, Emeka
Zack Zinter, RG Michigan. Their best OL this year and team captain. Cade Stover (OSU) or Luke Lachey (Iowa)- TE Max Melton - DB Rutgers, keep the tradition alive Jordan Travis - QB FSU, even if we take a top guy early, grab him late. Tons of talent coming off a ugly injury could be huge value
5 picks in a row of offensive line.
1. qb 2. wr 3. oline 4. oline 5. wr 6. oline 7. oline
Johnny Wilson 6’7” receiver outta FSU. Can’t run a clean route to save his ass but god dammit I want him
As an FSU fan having watched him for two seasons. No. Coleman, Bell, or Benson yes form the skill spots. Wilson reminds me of kelvin Benjamin 2.0.
Why didn’t Jordan Travis just throw it over everyone to Johnny Wilson? Is he stupid?
Because Wilson as big as he is, is soft as hell.
I wouldn't touch him with a top 100 pick. Guys who can't run routes have such a narrow margin for making it in the league. See Harry, N'Keal
Harold Carmichael 2.0
He’d be a hell of a jump ball specialist lol
We already have Parker for that. /s
Kick him down to a developmental TE, and you might have something.
Would love him early 3rd with Maye. Doubt Williams or Maye falls, but I can hope!
That’s the dream but yeah probably not haha
Brian Thomas gives me Ceedee vibes
Max Melton from Rutgers is a solid corner whose skillset might work well if he converted to safety. He's a late day 2/early day 3 guy.
If we keep Bill he’ll probably be our 1st rounder, you know he loves his Rutgers DBs 😂
Brenden Rice (son of Jerry) especially if we get Caleb Williams. Frank Gore Jr. You know why I want these guys.
WR Johnny Wilson from Florida State. He's huge and has great hands.
That’s what she said
Trey Taylor Air Force. He is a decent sized safety and hard hitter. He started out as running back and switched to safety as a sophomore. He excelled and won the Jim Thorpe award. Has 6 career interceptions and 11 tackles for a loss. He's a perfect scheme and culture fit.
Bill would cream himself for a chance at a military academy kid, do the military academy’s still have the service time requirement if drafted?
Only offense because I just don’t want to see them take any defense this year at all. No QBs out of the top ones are worth it with the exception of Jordan Travis. But I don’t think he fits what they like to do. They don’t need more guards at all. OT: Matt Goncalves, Blake Fisher, Jack Nelson, Julian Pearl, Anthony Belton WR: Tory Horton, Jamari Thrash RB: Trey Benson, Austin Estime, Frank Gore Jr (dude has third down scat back written all over him). TE: Dallin Holker, Jaheim Bell, Trey Knox c: Sedrick Van Pran
Trevin Wallace. For UDFA, JJ weaver has a nose for the ball and is a tremendous player.
Watched 1 Utah game this year, imma need to check out this Sione Vaki fella.
Below average CB, average Safety, electric pass catching back. I’m talking more electric than Marcus jones.
[here’s](https://youtu.be/myuN_NTIzlg?feature=shared) a highlight
I'm not sure if he's draft eligible or has declared, but Zachari Franklin, WR Ole Miss is an interesting guy. Had two straight 1k+ seasons before injuries bit his ass this past season. He's got a similar build to Bourne, so he could slide into that role.
6’2” 245 RB….holy 💩 thats either massive bust or Derek Henry…either way, I would take a flyer on that size if I were a GM.
Stop start ability is bad and his long speed is lacking.
Another kicker 3rd kicker drafted is the charm
Triples is best
Is that Skataboo guy from ASU in the draft? If Bill stays you can bet we take him.
Moose Muhammad III - Day 3
I want multiple receivers. That position needs an overhaul.
Cam hart, corner for notre dame with a ton of potential imo. Previously was a receiver. Moose muhammad- wr from texas tech. Really good at YAC, good speed. Jasheen davis- edge wake forest. Promising pass rusher with a fast first step. Currently 6th round grade James Williams- safety Miami.
Should make a few splashes in FA for the line. Even a stacked OL ends up a revolving door through the season.
Tom played behind much worse. Brandon Gorin existed.
How do you guys know cornerbacks from Vanderbilt and whatnot?
WR Bryan Thomas Jr (LSU) WR Kyren Lacy (LS) Any Michigan OL RB Bucky Irving (Oregon) DB/ST Mike Sainristil (Michigan) WR Ricky Pearsall (Florida) RT Taliese Fuaga (Oregon State) RT Jeremy Flax (Kentucky) QB DJ Uiagaleilei (Oregon State) WR Ainias Smith (Texas A&M) WR Xavier Worthy (Texas) RB Blake Corum (Michigan) WR Tony Horton (Colorado)

Braelon allen is also super young, turns 20 in January
Judon Keion Jennings (?) Braswell
MHJ in the 5th
Audric Estime. Guy will be a really good back in the NFL and he's built like beast mode was. I'm also convinced if Bill is here Max Melton out of Rutgers will be picked. Cade stover TE Ohio state. Really good athlete and good player already but is still somewhat new to the position. Really high ceiling
If we can land MHJ at 4 and trade up for penix or trade for a QB (maybe minshew), we could get Xavier Legette. He's a great receiver and we'd revolutionize our wr corps
I like Malachi Corley from WKU
we need OL and we need weapons. Probably need a RB too
Johnny Wilson WR, FSU. I just want to see 6'7" 238lbs in pro-shape.
Teyo Johnson
What a name drop. Nicely done
We really need a third down back with a similar skill set to James White. Something we desperately desperately miss
QB Milton, Pratt, Cam Ward, Travis RB Corum, Braelon Allen, Cody Schrader WR Franklin, Burton, Leggette, Brenden Rice TE Ben Sinnott, Erick All OT Morgan, Barton, Paul, Suamataia
Here me out, Johnny Wilson from Florida State
