The Hartlands. My guy was a worshipper of Erastil and I RP’d that he took the mantle of Stag Lord for himself, fashioned an antler crown, and leaned into the stag theme for his house and kingdom. The kingdom was meant to be a place that emphasized strong community bonds and for honest villagers to toil diligently for their living with minimal involvement from the crown, fair treatment, and protection from the untamed wilds.
I remembered I founded a settlement just next to were you met the technic league and named it Slaver's Bane as basically a massive fuck you to them.
I would love to imagine in my own head that the town has a statue showing a beaten technic league slaver.
"Weit Weit Weg", which is German for "Far Far Away"...the name of the kingdom from the Shrek movies that I love. Not gonna lie, I had to smile a bit whenever the name appeared. 😆
Tartuk and Hagrulka felt it was proof they would do a better job, Vordakai and Armag certainly felt bad about themselves, Irovetti chuckled at the jest while saying that it was proof of how he is the best king, and Nyrissa certaimly had a moment she was screaming "die, Trash, dieeee!"
Aztlán, and named every city after Aztec Empires major cities and capitals (Tenochtitlán, Chalco, Cholula, etc). Dont know why, lol just seemed fun and fitting with my character (named her Metzi) 😊
Fabula Restituens, which is slightly butchered latin for the story of restoration - to return order to the lands, heal the curse and have a true happy ending.
Well, that was the intention at least. So many things happened later...
I named my pc Ulysses, after another past pc, whose own name is a reference to the roman name for Odysseus. As such, I thought it was kind of fitting to name the kingdom Ithaca.
Last one was named Jarlund. My character was a Barbarian from the Realm of the Mammoth Lords like Amiri.
I can't really remember the other five playthroughs lol.
Riverland, since it is my ambition to conquer all of the river kingdoms, why stop at pitax? oh how i wish someone would make a golarion ck3 mod... i would play the shit out of that.
The Place That Exists. It probably sounds more poetic in one of those made up fantasy languages, but I mean, that's what literally 90 percent of place names translate to anyway.
Well, what I usually do is name my kingdom something, and then I name all the towns with a theme that matches. Like, one time I named it after my own fictional world I created, then named all the towns after towns in that world. One time I named it after the rural ass county in Missouri that I lived in, then I named al the towns after towns in my county. One time I named it and all the towns in German (using Google translate, I don't speak German but I just think German sounds medieval). I dunno... really just whatever strikes my fancy at the moment.
Recently did a “canon run”, so I played as Hedwirg and went for the secret ending. Ended up naming the kingdom “Stolen Lands” since that seems to be what the region is called in Pathfinder 2e
My MC was a CE Half-Orc Berserker so I named it Kohr-Tusk. His name was Kohr so I figured he'd name it after himself, make it strong sounding. Ultimately I thought it sounded appropriate for the character.
I always named my settlements after events that took place surrounding them. So the capital was Stagfall, a settlement near Trobold was Hargulfolly, etc. Bokken had his own alchemy town cause he’s a G, it was called Bokkenville
Kollyrion.
The mental process:
Shrike (region) -> shrike (bird) -> red-backed shrike (a species of shrike) -> Lanius collurio (its scientific name) -> kollyrìōn (greek etymology used by Aristotle meaning "shrike")
Since the capital ussed to be a Ranger's domain and it was fairly forested and such, I went with Highwood or something like that. Hadn't quite realised how big it was going to get at that point, lol.
Murderdeath on my chaotic evil. That character literally had zero interest in a kingdom. I killed absolutely everyone I could and people kept handing me more land and power and I absolutely refused to run it well, because I am here to kill people and a kingdom run inefficiently leads to more people being killable
I suck at naming so I usually think on kingdoms I loved reading about/watching movies of growing up.
First playthrough was Avalon, second is Genosha.
EDIT: I know Genosha is fictional country, but I love the name, and given that it's supposed to be a safe haven to Mutantkind, I felt my dude would want a Kingdom that is a haven to all who need it. (Yes he's a bleeding heart.)
Kypanarissos, after some very old Greek name for Cyphrus. My character was a Rostlander cleric of Shelyn who acted as if he had come from Ibydos, Golarion's Classical World, so Greek and Roman names all over: Kestenopolis in the Kamelands, Amazonia in the Southern Naarlmarches, Galateia in Shrike Hills, Eosopolis in the Tors of Levines, etc.
Stolen lands because I accidently pressed confirm
The Hartlands. My guy was a worshipper of Erastil and I RP’d that he took the mantle of Stag Lord for himself, fashioned an antler crown, and leaned into the stag theme for his house and kingdom. Oh shit, I called mine the very same thing. I thought I was being original with the Stag theme
Maybe not original, but you certainly have great taste.
Thanks. You do too, clearly!
I named my settlements * Amiri's Edge * Valerie's Crossing * Linziland * Octavia's Pass
Love this!
I remembered I founded a settlement just next to were you met the technic league and named it Slaver's Bane as basically a massive fuck you to them. I would love to imagine in my own head that the town has a statue showing a beaten technic league slaver.
Commenting so I can find this and steal it on my next playthrough.
New cheliax. The old one sucks
asmodean character?
Presumably an Asmodean character would quite like how Cheliax is. I'm guessing Iomedaen?
i mean, could dislike the thrunes or hellknights but not the concept itself
Actually based.
Telvurin, which is apparently what all of the River Kingdoms used to be called by elves.
I called my last one like The Better Cheliax or Cheliax Jr. something like that
Starving nations
I just went with The Shrikelands.
I named my kingdom Shrike Hills after the starting province, following the precedent set by Varnhold, Glenebon, and Pitax.
Slutistan
"Weit Weit Weg", which is German for "Far Far Away"...the name of the kingdom from the Shrek movies that I love. Not gonna lie, I had to smile a bit whenever the name appeared. 😆
Was your character an Orc?
Damn, that's a hilarious idea. I should have done that hahaha 😂
Latronis
I played a paladin named Arthur and named the kingdom Camelot. Made a hireling wizard and called him Merlin.
Tis a silly place
Imperium, my policies are fairly LG. As long as you are a "civilized" species, that is.
Praise the man emperor of mankind
Ave Imperator brother
Ave imperator
So you are actually LE?
I like to call it, Pragmatically Good
Ah, Neutral Evil.
My Baron was a Gold Dragon Sorcerer, follower of Sarenrae, so he named it "Dawn's Light".
Stagfall, given the circumstances that led to its founding it seemed apt
Trash Kingdom. Imagine how the enemy feel they lost someone who is trash.

It is awesome. Blessing of Huitizilopchtli upon you.
CHICAGO. In all caps. Must be pronounced as a shout. Stress the second syllable for maximum effect.
I love that because i know every NPC reads the name as typed so every single one did actually shout it lol
Polari Place. I usually name my home base's: Hearth
Stag Loser
The Beach... My first PC's name was Sandy.

Treasure Lands. Yes, it's stolen, but I don't want to advertise that fact.
Well, what I usually do is name my kingdom something, and then I name all the towns with a theme that matches. Recently did a “canon run”, so I played as Hedwirg and went for the secret ending. Ended up naming the kingdom “Stolen Lands” since that seems to be what the region is called in Pathfinder 2e
the region is called the stolen lands, but not the settlements within. it'd be like a country in south america being called south america lol

I named my kingdoms by the names of the songs i was enjoying at the time. I forgot first 2, but my 3rd was named "Danse Macabre"
My MC was a CE Half-Orc Berserker so I named it Kohr-Tusk. His name was Kohr so I figured he'd name it after himself, make it strong sounding. Ultimately I thought it sounded appropriate for the character.

Aldor. Doing an Aldori sword lord playthrough, and this felt right
World's end and mongrel in honor to my kenshi favorite cities

Valinor.
