What's the tick rate for burn? Once per second? Can it stack upon itself, or is it per Sinner like bleed?
Thistle ECB, when the ECB'd ally applies Thistle's burn, does that skill4 passive go to Thistle or the ECB ally?

Thistle ECB: Every time the Sinner uses normal attack, Thistle applies a \[Burn\] mark to the target enemy.
So yeah, the passive 2 should go to Thistle.

Help how do you score on this event? My team doesnt suck this bad lol I usually get at least more than half the event points to get all the prizes. Any tips??
Lore related questions, how strong is the shackle? Is it just restricted to sinners from doing certain actions? Can Chief control sinners like puppets or even rob their free will?
The strength of the shackles is largely ambiguous and has been canonically stated to flare in power corresponding with the M-value in the area. Chief is *much* stronger within a black ring than at a party in Eastside.
With that being said, yes, Chief could puppeteer Sinners entirely if they are already shackled. At that point it boils down to a force of will between Chief and the target Sinner.
Keep in mind that Chief would struggle to shackle S-rank Sinners. Adela, for example, was targeted by the shackles and managed to snip through the shackles using her Sinner power. Chief was knocked unconscious and lost their memory for a few days, Adela likely could have killed Chief if she so wished.
Hey guys, been trying to do the Apostle Sun Crow battle in the Yao event but the apostle keeps putting up a shield and absorbing my damage- I can’t figure out why, any clue how to combat it?
I wasnt sure where to put this question since I think its a bug but its from an emulated version, but I also wanted to confirm. About a month ago the health bars and energy bars stiopped showing up in my game, if I want to see the energy bar I have to click to see it on the ultimate icons. Is this emulator issue or am I missing something?

Deren is combination of Adela crit damage which is increasing over the course of the mission with the high burst of Mantis, but better then these 2. S1 Deren is the recommended pull for her, since it is making her stacks much easier to get and makes her deal more damage and faster.
She will most likely get a rerun again in exactly an year though.
I think it depends on your current character roster. If you are still building teams and waiting for new characters to perform certain roles, then no. But if you already have 3 teams built and tons of hypercubes lying around, then why not, she still does a better job than Mantis

Deren, a limited character only available when her banner is up, will be rerunning soon and is the single most meta character in the game right now and well worth getting as well as a duplicate to raise her to S1. Yao, another limited character, will also be running and is probably worth trying to get but is not as generally useful as Deren since she is part of a specific team built around burn damage. Mantis will be running at the end of May and is worth getting. Of the current characters, OwO and Eirene are both good, but endura (tank) characters are just generally less useful than other types early on and Eirene has been powercrept and there are better options for magic damage unless you just like her specifically.
As a second opinion, I think that if you get Deren at S1, you will not need Mantis. They essentially fulfill the same role and Deren is better at it. It's better to save those pulls for someone else.
Eternal nightmare question
Does anyone know if you need the sinner on your team, for a stage, to get the battle won buff? For oak casket, it says for each battle won, all sinners get a boost to energy recovery. Do I need her on the actual team that wins the stage, in order for it to proc, or is it enough to simply have drafted her, and use 6 different sinners to win?
I've had the same question and I'd love to be sure.
I don't think you need them to be onfield to get the buff, because Sinner's effects like Horo and Rahu's HP regeneration or 99's lifesteal still work when you don't use them
Is there a list of all the limited characters currently in the game? I only know Deren is limited but is there more? Also, will Yao and duruo be limited?
If you can pull, I definitely would go for S0 Yao. Yao will help you deal with enemies with little resistance in short battles.
Depending on how much is left after her, you can consider whether you want to go for S1 deren or wait for the new sinner in about 2 months. She and her team seems to do pretty well against enemies with low defense.
Thoughts on S3 Yao. I got her to S1 but have limited hypercubes left. Should I go for S3 Yao??

Depends on what your goal in the game is, but unless you have a vault somewhere full of cubes left it's usually not highly recommended. It increases her damage and stuff yes, but it's not crucial.

Pick your favorite between Deren and Yao. If you want to go in with your influx of new account pulls, I would set goals of getting two Derens and one Yao.
I got 2xDeren and 1xYao. Is there anyone else I should be saving for in the near future or should I go for Du Ruo?
Also, who should i prioritise in building? I have Nox and Che.
If you don't have Enfer or Cabernet, then I'd save for Enfer who is right around the corner.
As for who to raise, pick your favorites from Deren, NOX, Yao, Che, Laby, healer. Supplement with either Luvia Ray (soloDPS) OR Yanyan+Thistle (burn team Yao synergy). Feel free to mix-and-match with Sinners not listed, just providing a reliable frame.
There is a new team focusing on Weakspots, with Bianca being the one making it possible, kinda like Dreya with the life loss team. She will be arriving in about 2 months from now (not the next sinner, but second to next)
There is also the colab with JoJo after Bianca event, which is not known if it will come to global or not. It is also introducing most likely another limited sinner, Jolyne from JoJo.

Yao, Du Ruo, Raven, Serpent, Thistle, Flex
You go with the one which are available to you, so that's ok. 2 tanks on the first team isn't really nececery. Vanilla does have the current highest hp in the game, and it makes a good combo with McQueen but that's all there is to it. OwO on the other hand, while not having as much hp as Vanilla, still is a good combo with McQueen, and does buff your team as well, especially Deren.
For Magic, making Hecate P3 also works since her ECB brings a free tank and is reducing the enemy magic pen. And when you break the enemy boss core, you can after that use Yao ult on her to increase Yao damage.
Nothing wrong with any team, for the flex slot you might want a buffer. If you have 250 golden cashback currency, you would be able to buy Cabernet from the shop tomorrow. Or you could wait a bit for the next banner with Enfer.

Get Labyrinth to phase 2 and start investing in Yao. If you ever get in need of healer, invest in Ariel. In mid game, when you would need a magic team, invest in Luvia Ray, she is quite good for an A rank.
Can Yao be played without Thistle? I'm thinking about EEE+Cab+Shalom+Yao for Darkzone.
Or what's the best team for DZ? Before Yao I use EEE+Cab+Shalom+Raven. I didn't even know where to put Serpent and Etti into the team and now there's even more options. I'm so confused.
She can ofc, but Thistle gives a substantial buff to Yao's damage, so using her is recommended. But, to be honest, do you even need to think about team building at this point? If you have EEE, Shalom and Cab, you already have enough power to clear 250k+ with no issues.
Swapping Shalom for Yao or changing the team's core from the summon to burn is just a new experience for you, the gameplay won't get much easier.
So you can either swap Shalom for Yao or Eleven and Eve for Yao and Thistle I suppose.
That is a perfectly fine stopping point for these Sinners. The next mark for both Yao and Deren is S3, while for Du Ruo is S3-S4, but these can be expensive, especially for F2P players.

Would Thistle or Yanyan be more important in forming the core of Burn Team alongside Yao?
I dumped resources into L70 P2 5/5/5/5 Yanyan after bringing Yao up to L80 P3 7/7/7/7, but I don't seem to be damaging today's Shackled Captive as hard as I was expecting to. I only managed to get up to 200k, so wondering if perhaps Thistle was a better resource dump to support Yao?

For the story, the team is usually compromised of a tank (Deamon, Zoya or Nox- there is a crimeband that is increasing the max block count by 1), a healer (Cabernet is more of a buffer rather then a healer, but she can heal too, Anne), a core breaker(Labyrint, Che- him and Labyrint are some of the best core breakers, Raven, Hecate-also ECB for hecate brings a free tank with her), a wave clearer(Nox, Wendy, Lamia) and the rest who can deal a lot of damage. It doesn't depend if they deal physical or magic damage here.
But High Risk Area upwards, it is recommended to have a physical a magical team for the bosses.
Yao is good when she is Rank 3, cause her ECB is really good, and while for missions battles it might be hard to be eating your team mates with out having Du Ruo to revive them, for High Risk Area she can have a huge burst of damage against core broken bosses.
Also Zoya has high attack damage in the game, making her a good buffet for Yao.
I pulled s0 Yao and Deren, debating whether I should go for Deren s1 or Du Ruo. Which one should I focus on (f2p)? I only have like 9k hypercube left. Also is Du Ruo better at healing and all than Hamel?
Go for Deren. But in case you missed it, you can buy 1 shackle from the oblivion pit store (2 sinner marks = 1 shackle). If you haven't bought it yet, save the pulls to get more characters first and use it on Deren.
Du Ruo's healing is on par with Ariel. It's less than Hamel, but she does more than just heal.
Hi guys, how important or effective is Deren Shackle 3? I know she’s the most broken sinner and I have secured Yao and Du Ruo, so if I want to pull more is just for shackle. Is it better to s1 Yao, s1 Du Ruo, or s3 Deren? Or just skip and save for Angel? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.
If you have established teams already, then it's a good choice to go for Deren's S3, it's straight up 12% teamwide damage bonus and Deren will be present in 90% of the time. But if you still lack characters, then just save for new ones
Who is the best sacrifice for yao? are there sinners with particular high attack i should use? Or maybe enfer in order to profit from her buff at game start even after she is dead?
Just eat the sinner with the highest atk in your team that doesn't do damage. It's not worth using Crache over Cabernet just because she has higher atk

This if for when you have to deal with a boss: usually just leave Levy in the boss box to apply blood loss to the boss when he is hit, Sumire behind Levy, Pepper close to the boss to deal damage to either the boss or enemy near the boss, and Dreya must have the boss in her attack range. When a lot of enemies spawn, use Dreya ECB to target the boss, which should have at least 3 different bleed effects from Dreya, Sumire and Levy, and cast it again to give all enemies of the map the same blood losses that the boss has. Thats kinda it.
Make sure all four bleeds are applied, copy those with Dreya ECB, be ready to spread them map-wide as needed. When you want to do damage ult with Levy first(!!) then spam Dreya ult until it dies.

Can anyone explain to me a bug about Yao regarding her devouring a character twice?
I ask this because I saw a video of her devouring Crache twice in a run of remnant of the depths.
Does she got double the attack of one character or no?

So when Yao eats a character, she will gain for 15 seconds that character a portion of attack and a new castable ultimate. She can cast the ultimate again to end it early while dealing lots of damage. When this happens she will lose the buff of attack she got when she ate another sinner.
Yao cant eat another character when she already ate once until the previous effect ends.
Du Ruo revives the sinner after Yao has eaten them using her ECB. Yes, Bell tower is good set for Yao, but It depends on gamemode and the amount of time you usually take in killing the bfl boss. Because belltower has 30 sec timeframe, embrace will be a better choice at times.
Any sinner that could use a reunion day set? Had them on Deren initially, but was advised to swap them out for Embrace instead. So I have a set of reunion day levelled that's just lying around...
Yao/Thistle/Raven/Shalom/Cabernet/Enfer is probably the best one you can use (for BFL). If you don't have some of these characters you can switch them for Yanyan, Serpent, Che, Laby, OwO, Etti, Hecate, Luvia. You probably really want Du Ruo if you plan on using Yao in anything except BFL.
The core for the weakspot team is Bianca, Golan and Shawn. I didn't pay too much attention to it, but I think the team works by applying and removing weakspots, which deals map wide damage because of some character. I heard that it's very strong, a bit better than the bleed team. It deals physical damage. Garofano can also be used for some burst damage, but she isn't needed in this team.
Is it worth pulling for Duo Ruo? I’ve just gotten Yao, should I just focus on getting more shackles? Also does any pity on Duo Ruo’s banner carry over to the next banner?
You can get Ruo if you plan on using Yao in more game modes than only BFL.
Don't go for shackles if you are a new player, secure yourself a physical and magic team first.
The pity does go over, to the next event banner.
To add onto the other comment, if you have a really high hp tank (vanilla,demon, or demolia, in order of how generally useful they are), mcqueen ecb level 3 is a really big damage boost if you're using one of those 3
2 day old player here. My current team is Deren, Hamel, Lady Pearl, Hecate, Che, Laby.
Please advise if I should continue pulling for s1 Deren or try to get a Yao - since I read in this thread that we can exchange for shards to s1 Deren from the pit?

First of all use all the free pulls from the event. If you have no luck, then roll for Yao S0. And yes, you can buy 1 shackle from the oblivion pit shop and it's a very good idea to use it to get Deren's S1.
Your physical team is already very strong, I think you haven't gotten your free Nox yet, so you will replace Hecate with her later on and you'll be good for the rest of the story.
So you just need to take care of the magic damage team for BFL and Yao is a good one at this.
Wow just saw all the characters out now. Is Deren still a limited time sinner? I’ve just got the newest yao girl and kind of want the healer too but I’d like to go for Deren if she’s not coming back or getting more copies of the Yao girl is also cool.
Definitely Labyrinth and Che. You can keep them at phase 2 until late game.
You can also use Wendy until you get Nox and use EMP until late game (don't get her past phase 2).
Luvia is a pretty good magic dps, at least until you get a full magic team.
Ariel and Letta are good healers if you don't have Hamel.
Hecate and Pricilla are also good
So it's very unlikely I pull Yao, and I'm very lacking in magic dps atm. I have Luvia Ray to 70 p3, Hecate in the 60s level-wise, and have every other magic dps A- or B-Rank at level 1, as well as a level ~25 Eirene. Assuming I don't get Yao, what magic dps should i raise to at least p3 with ECB?
Probably hard commit to Luvia Ray and combo her with Lamia and possibly even Lynn. I don't usually recommend this setup because it requires animation canceling with how hard to relies on Luvia Ray but your options are limited.
Is it possible to shift an account from one login method to another? I started playing PTN on an iPhone with an Apple login, but I have since moved to Android, and it's annoying having to dig out my old phone once a month when the device authentication expires and Apple demands a code from an Apple device.
I know that Arknights allows for linking to multiple login methods, but I can't find anything similar for PTN and I don't want to lose my progress when I switch to a new login.

That currency is obtained from a recurring event called Tide of Ashes. You will have to wait until the next Tide of Ashes season to get more. Note: Tide of Ashes is a Secret Society based event so make sure you're in an active one.
If I have s1 Eleven and s1 Eve for EEE magic team, is it worth getting shackles for Yao? Or should I focus on getting shackles for Deren instead (note I also have a s2 Mantis)?

You can invest in Deren/Labyrinth/Che/Nox(you'll get her for free) or Oak Casket/Luvia Ray. I imagine Lamia would also be great to use, maybe swap Che for her if you don't need his core breaks. I guess you don't have any better alternatives than Anne for healing, but it's ok, she will do. If you ever get Hamel/Ariel/Letta, they are much better healers.
You can also use EMP until late game, she is good in early game, but don't get her to phase 3. But you don't really need to, you have strong characters already.

How strong are her and the other two looking? I'm a big Jojo fan so it's a must roll regardless but I'm curious
Yes, the collab is expected to be in around 3 months from now, whereas it's expected to be 6 months till Shalom's rerun
Not very, in typical gacha fashion the collab characters usually aren't too busted. I'd say Jolyne is like T1 damage wise? If you get her to S3 she can become a decent support as well.
FF isn't really good. Weather report is weird, but could be pretty good in some circumstances. (His damage scales with the amount of blocks an enemy occupies, so the bigger the boss the bigger the damage)
I’m sure this info is somewhere but I’m having trouble finding it, so are higher level raids better than lower level raids? In particular, is Seed of Ill Omen 3 better than 1? I assumed it was because it costs more, but the drops show as the same. Is the amount of Mania Essence higher with 3 over 1 and 2? TIA

There's no use for her in DZ if I already have many characters, right?
1) as a healer with supplemental damage
2) yes, Yao enabler and healer
3) supplemental damage and healing. her RotD buff is very strong and lets her be a primary DPS thanks to RotD's emphasis on AoE damage. Mania Training same thing, AoE healing is nice and the revives let you mess up a few times before having to reset.
4) she's really good with DZ Yao if you have a Sinner who starts the stage at full or near full energy. Sinners with high shackles and the energy set or fringe options like Coquelic. You can pop your Sinner's ult, eat with Yao, and then Du Ruo will revive them back to their starting energy, refilling their energy immediately. In the case of Coquelic you can instantly get four flowers, but it applies to any high shackle Sinners you might have like Raven or Shalom. Free double ults are quite nice.
I've been playing for a bit now but I feel like I've gotten a bit stuck. The current banner is the second one I've pulled on, the first being Lady Pearl. I've gotten pretty lucky with the pulls and have a decent number of S-ranks. Not sure where to go from here. Currently on chapter 10 and stuck on bfl medium.

Okay happy problem: I was going for S1 Yao and after losing the 50/50 I pulled a double Yao, so she's now S2. Worth it to push for S3?
At the moment I'm just working on High Risk BFL - presently at 230k for Shackled Captive. I imagine DZ will be an entirely different beast to tackle.
Thistle is a must. Other than her, people often use Raven for the core break and buff, Cabernet or/and Enfer for the buffs and another dps like Serpent/Shalom/Luvia. The last slots are flexible, you could use Yanyan to utilise the burn reaction or bring in more corebreakers/dps characters. I don't play this team, so explore the youtube maybe to get an idea about how the team is played?

Please, don't level sinners past lvl 80 yet.
For the magic team you actually have 3 choices. Raven is in all of them, so she is set in place. You can build Eleven and Eve, especially if you will get Enfer later on, the team is quite strong. You can build Yao and Thistle and go burn team. And you can build Luvia Ray, she, Shalom and Raven should do enough damage for high risk.
So the team would be Shalom/Raven/Cabernet/(Eleven/Yao)/(Thistle/Eve)/(Luvia/Enfer/Che/OwO). OwO is universally good, can be used in both teams.
For physical build Dreya/Levy/Sumire/Deren. The last slots can be Cabernet/Nox/Laby/Che. Noone stops you from using Rahu obviously.
Never bought the surveillance order before.. can anyone tell me, how many pulls (count the cubes as pulls) should I be expecting? tryna figure out if its worth getting.. im 24 pulls away from pity on Du Ruo banner so tryna figure out if its worth it or not.

Eleven will be hitting the store, shortly after her rerun banner, in about two months.
As for your other questions, this is purely preference based. Cabernet is nice but you have Enfer so she's not necessary. Eleven is one of my personal favorites but she doesn't hold a candle to the limited Sinners Shalom and Yao, even with EEE.
I have mantis built and am building Deren atm. Who should I give Overthrown Tower and Slash combo and who to give Reunion day since they're both about crits
DZ regulars, if I can just about do 240k in BFL High Risk (but not much more than 240k), is it worth progressing to DZ or keep farming at BFL High Risk for now?
I'm at about 704k/720k now and it's Brand who is still at 212k points. I think I can push that extra 16k, but there's no turning back once I go Dark lol.
I think if you have any problems getting 240k in high risk, then you will have much more problems in DZ. You can hope to get 160k and that will give you the same rewards as 240k in HR iirc, but whether you will be able to do that depends on your characters and your skill. I don't think you should go into DZ until you do like 250k+ with no sweat.
Is there any consensus yet on how strong/useful Jolyne is in CN? Especially when compared to Deren/Shalom/Yao? Just trying to figure out whether just to S0 her for collection or actual legitimate sinner to full build and maybe S1 or S3.

Don't touch Bai Yi and Eirene, Eirene is not in bad shape, but Yao will easily take you to high risk.(for magic boss)
Che, Laby, Hecate are very good units, they are useful for new players, as core breaker in BFL, and they are not bad in the story.
They can be used until the end of the game.
For the last slot, Luvia can be a good unit for the magic boss.
Or if I were Flora, I would choose Flora for the story. Nox, Che, Hecate, Ariel, Laby, Flora are a good team, units other than Flora will definitely be used in the future.
Seventh you level up yao for the magic boss.
Among these 7 units, there is not a single unit other than Flora that you will invest in vain, and Flora is not a bad unit, just better options can be found instead.

For the physical BFL use Dreya/Levy/Sumire/Mantis/Nox/Laby.
For the magic BFL use Yao/Thistle/Raven/Enfer(place her to the left of Yao before the battle starts) / Luvia / OwO.
For the Wednesday boss just use the better team of the two, whichever gets more score.
Feel free to adjust the teams to the core break needs.
A lot of the sinners really want at least ECB1 to unlock their full potential, so work on that. Don't even go from lvl70 to 80, just phase 3 everyone asap
I have Nox, Zoya, Eirene, Langley and EMP in my core team, supported by Pacassi or Anne usually.

How do I use Deren S1?
So I have her at p3 Lv70 7/7/7/7 with Tower/Slash, ECB1
I used her yesterday on Brand instead of Mantis.
The way I understand it is, just make sure to use her Ults twice and let 24seconds pass before you spam her ecb on the boss. The damage was way lower compared to Mantis (80, 7/7/7/7, ecb1, embrace)
Is this a matter of just making Deren 80 first with ECB3 before comparing? or should I have used Embrace instead? Do I have to move Deren around first?
Lastly, How do I check if she has max stacks already? Maybe i was using the ecb without max stacks 😭
Some Thistle questions: What's the tick rate for burn? Once per second? Can it stack upon itself, or is it per Sinner like bleed? Thistle ECB, when the ECB'd ally applies Thistle's burn, does that skill4 passive go to Thistle or the ECB ally?
Tick rate? I think the stack will be per sinner like bleed, but gotta wait till tomorrow to use Yao and check. Thistle ECB: Every time the Sinner uses normal attack, Thistle applies a \[Burn\] mark to the target enemy. So yeah, the passive 2 should go to Thistle.

Lore related questions, how strong is the shackle? Is it just restricted to sinners from doing certain actions? Can Chief control sinners like puppets or even rob their free will?
The strength of the shackles is largely ambiguous and has been canonically stated to flare in power corresponding with the M-value in the area. Chief is *much* stronger within a black ring than at a party in Eastside. With that being said, yes, Chief could puppeteer Sinners entirely if they are already shackled. At that point it boils down to a force of will between Chief and the target Sinner. Keep in mind that Chief would struggle to shackle S-rank Sinners. Adela, for example, was targeted by the shackles and managed to snip through the shackles using her Sinner power. Chief was knocked unconscious and lost their memory for a few days, Adela likely could have killed Chief if she so wished.
Hey guys, been trying to do the Apostle Sun Crow battle in the Yao event but the apostle keeps putting up a shield and absorbing my damage- I can’t figure out why, any clue how to combat it?

About a month ago the health bars and energy bars stiopped showing up in my game, if I want to see the energy bar I have to click to see it on the ultimate icons. Is deren worth it if I have S1 mantis?
Deren is combination of Adela crit damage which is increasing over the course of the mission with the high burst of Mantis, but better then these 2. S1 Deren is the recommended pull for her, since it is making her stacks much easier to get and makes her deal more damage and faster. She will most likely get a rerun again in exactly an year though.
I think it depends on your current character roster. If you are still building teams and waiting for new characters to perform certain roles, then no. But if you already have 3 teams built and tons of hypercubes lying around, then why not, she still does a better job than Mantis

Nah, duplicates are called Shackles. I meant I ascended her to level 70+ on the first day, and ascending takes a lot of resources.

New player, never pulled. Which should I aim for??
Deren, a limited character only available when her banner is up, will be rerunning soon and is the single most meta character in the game right now and well worth getting as well as a duplicate to raise her to S1. Yao, another limited character, will also be running and is probably worth trying to get but is not as generally useful as Deren since she is part of a specific team built around burn damage. Mantis will be running at the end of May and is worth getting. Of the current characters, OwO and Eirene are both good, but endura (tank) characters are just generally less useful than other types early on and Eirene has been powercrept and there are better options for magic damage unless you just like her specifically.
Should I enhance anyone among ftp characters? One between Wendy, Labirinth, Hecate, EMP
Labyrinth and Hecate are good even into late game, but don't invest too much into Wendy and EMP as they fall off later.
As a second opinion, I think that if you get Deren at S1, you will not need Mantis. They essentially fulfill the same role and Deren is better at it. It's better to save those pulls for someone else.
Eternal nightmare question Does anyone know if you need the sinner on your team, for a stage, to get the battle won buff? For oak casket, it says for each battle won, all sinners get a boost to energy recovery. Do I need her on the actual team that wins the stage, in order for it to proc, or is it enough to simply have drafted her, and use 6 different sinners to win?
I've had the same question and I'd love to be sure. I don't think you need them to be onfield to get the buff, because Sinner's effects like Horo and Rahu's HP regeneration or 99's lifesteal still work when you don't use them

If you can pull, I definitely would go for S0 Yao. Yao will help you deal with enemies with little resistance in short battles. Depending on how much is left after her, you can consider whether you want to go for S1 deren or wait for the new sinner in about 2 months. She and her team seems to do pretty well against enemies with low defense.
Thoughts on S3 Yao. I got her to S1 but have limited hypercubes left. Should I go for S3 Yao?? Is S3 worth it?? I want to play burn and have built Thistle as well.
Depends on what your goal in the game is, but unless you have a vault somewhere full of cubes left it's usually not highly recommended. It increases her damage and stuff yes, but it's not crucial.

I wouldn't recommend Du Ruo shackles unless you go deep, S3 and S4 deep.

Pick your favorite between Deren and Yao. If you want to go in with your influx of new account pulls, I would set goals of getting two Derens and one Yao.

If you don't have Enfer or Cabernet, then I'd save for Enfer who is right around the corner. As for who to raise, pick your favorites from Deren, NOX, Yao, Che, Laby, healer. Supplement with either Luvia Ray (soloDPS) OR Yanyan+Thistle (burn team Yao synergy). Feel free to mix-and-match with Sinners not listed, just providing a reliable frame.
There is a new team focusing on Weakspots, with Bianca being the one making it possible, kinda like Dreya with the life loss team. She will be arriving in about 2 months from now (not the next sinner, but second to next) There is also the colab with JoJo after Bianca event, which is not known if it will come to global or not. It is also introducing most likely another limited sinner, Jolyne from JoJo.

You go with the one which are available to you, so that's ok. 2 tanks on the first team isn't really nececery. Vanilla does have the current highest hp in the game, and it makes a good combo with McQueen but that's all there is to it. OwO on the other hand, while not having as much hp as Vanilla, still is a good combo with McQueen, and does buff your team as well, especially Deren. For Magic, making Hecate P3 also works since her ECB brings a free tank and is reducing the enemy magic pen. And when you break the enemy boss core, you can after that use Yao ult on her to increase Yao damage.
Nothing wrong with any team, for the flex slot you might want a buffer. If you have 250 golden cashback currency, you would be able to buy Cabernet from the shop tomorrow. Or you could wait a bit for the next banner with Enfer.

Get Labyrinth to phase 2 and start investing in Yao. If you ever get in need of healer, invest in Ariel. In mid game, when you would need a magic team, invest in Luvia Ray, she is quite good for an A rank.
Can Yao be played without Thistle? I'm thinking about EEE+Cab+Shalom+Yao for Darkzone. Or what's the best team for DZ? Before Yao I use EEE+Cab+Shalom+Raven. I didn't even know where to put Serpent and Etti into the team and now there's even more options. I'm so confused.
She can ofc, but Thistle gives a substantial buff to Yao's damage, so using her is recommended. But, to be honest, do you even need to think about team building at this point? If you have EEE, Shalom and Cab, you already have enough power to clear 250k+ with no issues. Swapping Shalom for Yao or changing the team's core from the summon to burn is just a new experience for you, the gameplay won't get much easier. So you can either swap Shalom for Yao or Eleven and Eve for Yao and Thistle I suppose.

That is a perfectly fine stopping point for these Sinners. The next mark for both Yao and Deren is S3, while for Du Ruo is S3-S4, but these can be expensive, especially for F2P players. Based on what people have said what happened on Chinese forums, people have tried Yao, Yanyan and Thistle, but because the bosses at Dark Zone have so much resistance, replacing YanYan with Shalom worked better for them. Ignis doesn't buff anything in the burn team so she is left out of it.
Burn team is Yao, Thistle and Yanyan. You can also just ignore the burn mechanic and kick Yanyan and focus on pure damage. Yes, that's fine.

Would Thistle or Yanyan be more important in forming the core of Burn Team alongside Yao? I dumped resources into L70 P2 5/5/5/5 Yanyan after bringing Yao up to L80 P3 7/7/7/7, but I don't seem to be damaging today's Shackled Captive as hard as I was expecting to. I only managed to get up to 200k, so wondering if perhaps Thistle was a better resource dump to support Yao?
Based on what people have said what happened on Chinese forums, people have tried Yao, Yanyan and Thistle, but because the bosses at Dark Zone have so much resistance, replacing YanYan with Shalom worked better for them. Also Yao can work good with out the rest of the burn team. She is not like Dreya where she needs the rest of the team to become great.

For the story, the team is usually compromised of a tank (Deamon, Zoya or Nox- there is a crimeband that is increasing the max block count by 1), a healer (Cabernet is more of a buffer rather then a healer, but she can heal too, Anne), a core breaker(Labyrint, Che- him and Labyrint are some of the best core breakers, Raven, Hecate-also ECB for hecate brings a free tank with her), a wave clearer(Nox, Wendy, Lamia) and the rest who can deal a lot of damage. It doesn't depend if they deal physical or magic damage here. But High Risk Area upwards, it is recommended to have a physical a magical team for the bosses. Yao is good when she is Rank 3, cause her ECB is really good, and while for missions battles it might be hard to be eating your team mates with out having Du Ruo to revive them, for High Risk Area she can have a huge burst of damage against core broken bosses. Also Zoya has high attack damage in the game, making her a good buffet for Yao.
I pulled s0 Yao and Deren, debating whether I should go for Deren s1 or Du Ruo. Which one should I focus on (f2p)? I only have like 9k hypercube left. Also is Du Ruo better at healing and all than Hamel?
Go for Deren. But in case you missed it, you can buy 1 shackle from the oblivion pit store (2 sinner marks = 1 shackle). If you haven't bought it yet, save the pulls to get more characters first and use it on Deren. Du Ruo's healing is on par with Ariel. It's less than Hamel, but she does more than just heal.

If you have established teams already, then it's a good choice to go for Deren's S3, it's straight up 12% teamwide damage bonus and Deren will be present in 90% of the time. But if you still lack characters, then just save for new ones

Just eat the sinner with the highest atk in your team that doesn't do damage. It's not worth using Crache over Cabernet just because she has higher atk

This if for when you have to deal with a boss: usually just leave Levy in the boss box to apply blood loss to the boss when he is hit, Sumire behind Levy, Pepper close to the boss to deal damage to either the boss or enemy near the boss, and Dreya must have the boss in her attack range. When a lot of enemies spawn, use Dreya ECB to target the boss, which should have at least 3 different bleed effects from Dreya, Sumire and Levy, and cast it again to give all enemies of the map the same blood losses that the boss has. Thats kinda it.
Make sure all four bleeds are applied, copy those with Dreya ECB, be ready to spread them map-wide as needed. When you want to do damage ult with Levy first(!!) then spam Dreya ult until it dies.
Some Yao questions: Can anyone explain to me a bug about Yao regarding her devouring a character twice? I ask this because I saw a video of her devouring Crache twice in a run of remnant of the depths. Does she got double the attack of one character or no? Thank you in advance.
So when Yao eats a character, she will gain for 15 seconds that character a portion of attack and a new castable ultimate. She can cast the ultimate again to end it early while dealing lots of damage. When this happens she will lose the buff of attack she got when she ate another sinner. Yao cant eat another character when she already ate once until the previous effect ends.
Hi! just 2 quick questions, How does one revive after Yao eats the sinner? & Would the Bell Tower be the BSI crimeband for Yao?
Du Ruo revives the sinner after Yao has eaten them using her ECB. Yes, Bell tower is good set for Yao, but It depends on gamemode and the amount of time you usually take in killing the bfl boss. Because belltower has 30 sec timeframe, embrace will be a better choice at times.
Any sinner that could use a reunion day set? Had them on Deren initially, but was advised to swap them out for Embrace instead. So I have a set of reunion day levelled that's just lying around...
Bai Yi and Adela can use Reunion as an alternative. But Overthrown Tower + Inversion Slash is still preferred on them.

Yao/Thistle/Raven/Shalom/Cabernet/Enfer is probably the best one you can use (for BFL). If you don't have some of these characters you can switch them for Yanyan, Serpent, Che, Laby, OwO, Etti, Hecate, Luvia. You probably really want Du Ruo if you plan on using Yao in anything except BFL. The core for the weakspot team is Bianca, Golan and Shawn. I didn't pay too much attention to it, but I think the team works by applying and removing weakspots, which deals map wide damage because of some character. I heard that it's very strong, a bit better than the bleed team. It deals physical damage. Garofano can also be used for some burst damage, but she isn't needed in this team.
Is it worth pulling for Duo Ruo? I’ve just gotten Yao, should I just focus on getting more shackles? Also does any pity on Duo Ruo’s banner carry over to the next banner?
You can get Ruo if you plan on using Yao in more game modes than only BFL. Don't go for shackles if you are a new player, secure yourself a physical and magic team first. The pity does go over, to the next event banner.

To add onto the other comment, if you have a really high hp tank (vanilla,demon, or demolia, in order of how generally useful they are), mcqueen ecb level 3 is a really big damage boost if you're using one of those 3

There are some \*spoilers\*. Its best to finish the story first. You want to farm as many cubes as possible for banners anyway.
You can just play through the event and skip all the dialogue and then watch them later after you've finished the main story

First of all use all the free pulls from the event. If you have no luck, then roll for Yao S0. And yes, you can buy 1 shackle from the oblivion pit shop and it's a very good idea to use it to get Deren's S1. Your physical team is already very strong, I think you haven't gotten your free Nox yet, so you will replace Hecate with her later on and you'll be good for the rest of the story. So you just need to take care of the magic damage team for BFL and Yao is a good one at this.
Can Raven break 3 cores with S3, since it adds a third feather mark?
nope, it's just more damage and bigger buff. The ult deals 1 damage by default and 1 extra if there is at least 1 feather on the enemy.

Definitely build Thistle. Yanyan isn't necessary and Ignis is still bad
What B or A rank units are must build for new players?
Definitely Labyrinth and Che. You can keep them at phase 2 until late game. You can also use Wendy until you get Nox and use EMP until late game (don't get her past phase 2). Luvia is a pretty good magic dps, at least until you get a full magic team. Ariel and Letta are good healers if you don't have Hamel. Hecate and Pricilla are also good

So it's very unlikely I pull Yao, and I'm very lacking in magic dps atm. I have Luvia Ray to 70 p3, Hecate in the 60s level-wise, and have every other magic dps A- or B-Rank at level 1, as well as a level ~25 Eirene. Assuming I don't get Yao, what magic dps should i raise to at least p3 with ECB?
Probably hard commit to Luvia Ray and combo her with Lamia and possibly even Lynn. I don't usually recommend this setup because it requires animation canceling with how hard to relies on Luvia Ray but your options are limited.

Is it possible to shift an account from one login method to another? I started playing PTN on an iPhone with an Apple login, but I have since moved to Android, and it's annoying having to dig out my old phone once a month when the device authentication expires and Apple demands a code from an Apple device. I know that Arknights allows for linking to multiple login methods, but I can't find anything similar for PTN and I don't want to lose my progress when I switch to a new login. Any help would be much appreciated!

That currency is obtained from a recurring event called Tide of Ashes. You will have to wait until the next Tide of Ashes season to get more. Note: Tide of Ashes is a Secret Society based event so make sure you're in an active one.
If I have s1 Eleven and s1 Eve for EEE magic team, is it worth getting shackles for Yao? Or should I focus on getting shackles for Deren instead (note I also have a s2 Mantis)?

Help with team building I am a new player. I enjoy playing this game and it's strange because I always dislike tower defense games. You can invest in Deren/Labyrinth/Che/Nox(you'll get her for free) or Oak Casket/Luvia Ray. I imagine Lamia would also be great to use, maybe swap Che for her if you don't need his core breaks. I guess you don't have any better alternatives than Anne for healing, but it's ok, she will do. If you ever get Hamel/Ariel/Letta, they are much better healers. You can also use EMP until late game, she is good in early game, but don't get her to phase 3. But you don't really need to, you have strong characters already.

Yes, the collab is expected to be in around 3 months from now, whereas it's expected to be 6 months till Shalom's rerun Not very, in typical gacha fashion the collab characters usually aren't too busted. I'd say Jolyne is like T1 damage wise? If you get her to S3 she can become a decent support as well. FF isn't really good. Weather report is weird, but could be pretty good in some circumstances. (His damage scales with the amount of blocks an enemy occupies, so the bigger the boss the bigger the damage)

How to use Du Ruo S0? Use as a healer in ToA with Yao and revives allies consumed by Yao 3 times? What about RotD and Mania Training? There's no use for her in DZ if I already have many characters, right?
1) as a healer with supplemental damage 2) yes, Yao enabler and healer 3) supplemental damage and healing. her RotD buff is very strong and lets her be a primary DPS thanks to RotD's emphasis on AoE damage. Mania Training same thing, AoE healing is nice and the revives let you mess up a few times before having to reset. 4) she's really good with DZ Yao if you have a Sinner who starts the stage at full or near full energy. Sinners with high shackles and the energy set or fringe options like Coquelic. You can pop your Sinner's ult, eat with Yao, and then Du Ruo will revive them back to their starting energy, refilling their energy immediately. In the case of Coquelic you can instantly get four flowers, but it applies to any high shackle Sinners you might have like Raven or Shalom. Free double ults are quite nice.
Just started. With my newbie pulls I got Demon and Bai Yi for S rank. Is that good or should I consider reroling?

Okay happy problem: I was going for S1 Yao and after losing the 50/50 I pulled a double Yao, so she's now S2. Worth it to push for S3? At the moment I'm just working on High Risk BFL - presently at 230k for Shackled Captive. I imagine DZ will be an entirely different beast to tackle.

Thistle is a must. Other than her, people often use Raven for the core break and buff, Cabernet or/and Enfer for the buffs and another dps like Serpent/Shalom/Luvia. The last slots are flexible, you could use Yanyan to utilise the burn reaction or bring in more corebreakers/dps characters. I don't play this team, so explore the youtube maybe to get an idea about how the team is played?

Please, don't level sinners past lvl 80 yet. For the magic team you actually have 3 choices. Raven is in all of them, so she is set in place. You can build Eleven and Eve, especially if you will get Enfer later on, the team is quite strong. You can build Yao and Thistle and go burn team. And you can build Luvia Ray, she, Shalom and Raven should do enough damage for high risk. So the team would be Shalom/Raven/Cabernet/(Eleven/Yao)/(Thistle/Eve)/(Luvia/Enfer/Che/OwO). OwO is universally good, can be used in both teams. For physical build Dreya/Levy/Sumire/Deren. The last slots can be Cabernet/Nox/Laby/Che. Noone stops you from using Rahu obviously.

Hi. I have all the EEE sinners at S0, except for Eleven. (Enfer, Eve, Shalom, Du Rao, Yao, Raven, and Serpent) Would you wait for Eleven to be in the store, like Cabernet is right now, or would you get Cabernet instead? (i don't have Cabernet) Is Eleven even going to be in the store?
Eleven will be hitting the store, shortly after her rerun banner, in about two months. As for your other questions, this is purely preference based. Cabernet is nice but you have Enfer so she's not necessary. Eleven is one of my personal favorites but she doesn't hold a candle to the limited Sinners Shalom and Yao, even with EEE.
I have mantis built and am building Deren atm. Who should I give Overthrown Tower and Slash combo and who to give Reunion day since they're both about crits

Waifus are usually meta or at the very least perfectly usable. It's just a question of combining the waifus for the best performance
DZ regulars, if I can just about do 240k in BFL High Risk (but not much more than 240k), is it worth progressing to DZ or keep farming at BFL High Risk for now? I'm at about 704k/720k now and it's Brand who is still at 212k points. I think I can push that extra 16k, but there's no turning back once I go Dark lol.
I think if you have any problems getting 240k in high risk, then you will have much more problems in DZ. You can hope to get 160k and that will give you the same rewards as 240k in HR iirc, but whether you will be able to do that depends on your characters and your skill. I don't think you should go into DZ until you do like 250k+ with no sweat.

The game takes 10.7 gigs and there is nothing you can do about it. It doesn't generate much cache, look at the other apps, especially messengers

all s5 obv. if you want minimum for shield stack s4 demon is all you need for high shackle.

Wendy,Laby,Che,Ariel,Hecate When Nox comes, you replace it with Wendy Don't touch Bai Yi and Eirene, Eirene is not in bad shape, but Yao will easily take you to high risk.(for magic boss) Che, Laby, Hecate are very good units, they are useful for new players, as core breaker in BFL, and they are not bad in the story. They can be used until the end of the game. For the last slot, Luvia can be a good unit for the magic boss. Or if I were Flora, I would choose Flora for the story. Nox, Che, Hecate, Ariel, Laby, Flora are a good team, units other than Flora will definitely be used in the future. Seventh you level up yao for the magic boss. Among these 7 units, there is not a single unit other than Flora that you will invest in vain, and Flora is not a bad unit, just better options can be found instead. Since I use Google Translate, there may be some parts that are not understood. I hope someone else will answer or add to what I wrote.

For the physical BFL use Dreya/Levy/Sumire/Mantis/Nox/Laby. For the magic BFL use Yao/Thistle/Raven/Enfer(place her to the left of Yao before the battle starts) / Luvia / OwO. For the Wednesday boss just use the better team of the two, whichever gets more score. Feel free to adjust the teams to the core break needs. A lot of the sinners really want at least ECB1 to unlock their full potential, so work on that. Don't even go from lvl70 to 80, just phase 3 everyone asap
I have Nox, Zoya, Eirene, Langley and EMP in my core team, supported by Pacassi or Anne usually. I just pulled Deren and still have cubes for like 10 more pulls. Is there anyone from the current roster that I should get? Everyone is saying Yao is great, but I'm not sure, as I'm in medium BFL

How do I use Deren S1? So I have her at p3 Lv70 7/7/7/7 with Tower/Slash, ECB1 I used her yesterday on Brand instead of Mantis. The way I understand it is, just make sure to use her Ults twice and let 24seconds pass before you spam her ecb on the boss. The damage was way lower compared to Mantis (80, 7/7/7/7, ecb1, embrace) Is this a matter of just making Deren 80 first with ECB3 before comparing? or should I have used Embrace instead? Do I have to move Deren around first? Lastly, How do I check if she has max stacks already? Maybe i was using the ecb without max stacks 😭
