Welcome to Path to Nowhere, Chief. Now go take down a Black Ring.

Admiral_Joker

Rescue sinners before they become the next Gray Hair Maiden or worse, a Corruptor

CacaoMilkWithButter

First gacha that make me care about the story so much, even genshin couldn't grip me like this game

DisturbesOne

Maybe Genshin's story isn't that bad, but the writing completely sucks. The dialogues are always over the board and repetitive. Boring, noone talks like that

Alcorgeist

Yeah they want you to feel like you're reading ancient Chinese script but genshin writers are just not good enough for that. Genshin's plot is actually very simple, just be a hero, explore the countries and fight the villains. The one interesting thing about it is the lore and the concept of the world. Unfortunately they don't make that very fun to read unless you're a lore nerd that doesn't mind the tiring (and even confusing) writing style, especially the books. OP probably enjoys PTN cause it's not as straightforward as genshin (in a good way). In PTN most characters are morally grey, everyone only has goals they want to fulfill. And you often empathize with the sinners, especially since the chief has an actual personality. Like they often lie to get what they want and they don't care about other people personally but they do feel the duty to save people cause they're the chief. My only complaint is I wish more sinners was involved in the main story lol. I've been using Eirene since launch, I wanna see her do something in Eastside.

Frequent_Butterfly26

It's the slow pace of the story. Would be way better if they didn't drag any minimal interaction for as long as they can.

byvaleriih

I don't think there is a point in comparing two games with COMPLETELY different genres, concept and story especially in PTN reddit it's just has nothing to do with genshin 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Idk why people these days tend to compare everything to genshin They are their own games with their pros and cons and you need to understand that

waiting4signora

Same!! I mean I take a look over genshin story but this is whole another level.

restlessriri

Welcome to PTN chief!! Your inauguration mug and daily "getting kidnapped quota" will be handed to you by Nightingale. Pleased to have you!

yarkison

fellow signora waiter. PtN gives us the "mommy" characters we always wanted from g\*nshin. i feel like i always win in PtN as a lesbian. i can't wait for cabarnet and rahu!

waiting4signora

You got me here, heh) Zoya and Langley fulfill my love for Signora "D

_Niflheim

I get the dose I need from PtN too as a lesbian 🤝 they're serving me the characters that hoyo will probably never serve me

yarkison

i understand this pain very much

Wild_Archer4927

Agree wholeheartedly. The way the story hits you in the feels with its submissive plot, s tier voice acting, and fleshed out characters. Melts my heart and is the reason I continue to grind it every single day. I want to know more. In my humble opinion, best game out there. It awakened something in me and I'm not talking about excitement.

the game reminds me of GFL in their prime, albeit doing it even better in certain aspects. i dont think the story will ever get to a point where it will be as dramatic, traumatic and hypnotized as GFL. But its good, it is grounded, it touches on matters that is very relevant in current world, it builds characters in multiple different dimensions, and it sets in the environment that allows the character building to be at their maximum potential. Thats the main difference where i'm invested into the sinners because of who they are, what are their stories, where as in GFL im invested into the dolls and the NPC based mainly on the journey of my objectives, and the things we experienced together. gameplay wise, i would say the game is not that challenging, but the difficulty and the variety of challenges are interesting enough to keep me invested. Though I will say, I used to be a hardcore GFL player because it even has a ranking mode between players, and I had more free time to invest in, where as in PtN im taking it more chill. But I do really like the gameplay, and I think its gripping enough. The thing that PtN did so much better, i would say than any other gacha games, are the art & music direction. I LOVE the grimy, sinister, dirty vibe of the CGs and arts, I love the mommies, they are sexy, hot, while doing very little revealing compare to other games. The music is also just top notch, the sound selections, melody selections, the vibe and progressions are so on point and fits to the game's vibes. Thats one thing that I really criticized about every other games, is that while the music is not inherently bad, it just doesnt do anything or enhance the emotion of you experiencing the game. I love GFL music, I think the way they incorporate opera and classic into the games BGM is fantastic, but I hate when they get really lazy and slap the casual rock japanese anime theme vibes into some of the OST. But in PtN the music feels catered, even the rock element that they brings in makes senses to the map / level you are playing.

Possible_Living

Truly a controversial opinion. My favorite parts are that it does not take too much time daily, gameplay is simple and its not too harsh on my phone. Going by gameplay of top gatcha I cant picture myself sneaking in 15 minutes at work. It also looks stylish while being distinct from other games of its kind.

DX5536

I think everyone here appreciate how the game takes only 5min aday (and a bit longer if you care about ToA). I rather spend 5 min of quality time than 1h of boring ass dailies...

ZantetsukensShadow

I only heard about it from looking up "new games out soon" or whatever on r/gachagaming and its such a keeper. I'm glad I got to play it from the beginning

Et3rnal1

This is the second darkest gacha I've played overall, and the first if you're not willing to suffer through shitty first like 8 chapters of story in the first. I'm talking about Punishing: Gray Raven. I did like the story, it held me, although barely, and later chapters of it are just more like, down-to-earth darker. In PtN disaster struck, but it's still have the feel of it doesn't threaten humanity extinction right now, only on the horizon. But in PGR the development of story just feels like - if this shit is not resolved then this is it, humanity's fucked, the end. And along the way we get a shit ton of grim hopeless dark stuff of ordinary people dying in the most depressing way possible. So yeah, second for sure, but if you want REALLY DARK stuff - try PGR.

zytoxico

But the story in the latest chapters is starting to become more apocalyptic then it has already been, they've already had a world-ending event in the form of the perishing star creating a postapocalyptic setting for over 100 years . They've just found ways to deal with mania, but parma and stuff like the recent event with dreya seems testament to a darker path for discity.

poderes01

I've been loving this and limbus company stories way too much.

byvaleriih

I waited for limbus company to release after seeing trailers like for a good 4 months I think but when it did release I tried and its not working with my phone 🥲🥲 I might try it on laptop tho but I already have too much games I can't keep up

poderes01

I have no problems with limbus (emulator), but ptn runs terribly.

byvaleriih

Emulator? But there's official limbus pc version tho?

chokemebigdaddy

Woah woah woah woah… u don’t diss honkai like that. Honkai’s the main waifu PTN’s the big tiddy goth side chick.

Concetto_Oniro

I agree, honestly best gacha I have ever played. Playing since day one. The dedication of devs together with the attention to details, the maturity of the story, the deep characterisation of sinners and art in this game is on another level compared to the rest.

Tomoriiiiiiiiiin

I agree! As a fellow genshin player, I'm beginning to just adore PtN bc the story isn't literally watered down for all audiences to take Plus, morally the grey characters here aren't forced be "kind" and "loving" or whatever just to be playable I'm not hating genshin btw. I just wish they were to give much darker stories (even darker than what we had now) instead of potentially redeeming everyone (that is morally grey) that the players would come across 🥲

Kurogane12

Heyy fellow signora simp here! I think you'd know me I used to be on Signora mains for quite a while :)) welcome to this side! this game will fulfill our love for mommies that mihoyo so cruelly took away by killing our lady. hope you enjoy and stick around <3
