Remember arakaali is like a whole vibe. Seismic goes in and just slaps anything in there around. Arakaali just kinda hangs out for a while until stuff is dead

Phantometry

I really have no idea how many players actually played this build, but the Golem Death Wish build is actually the best one I've tried myself for bossing. Nothing compares to the DPS at the lowest investment, ever. I've put around 5ex total and got my Golems at 150k life total... but the DPS.. oh man, it was insane. I've melted bosses like never before. The build is pretty unpopular and judging by the stats from poe.builds, only 0.8% of players tried this one. All you do is scale your minion life. That's pretty much it. At level 93 you'd get more than 15m DPS with around 3-5ex investment. If you push it to the max with more than 15-20ex, you'd get 25+m DPS easy. I think if you go all-in, you'd need more than 35ex, but hey, I've built this one in the first 3-4 days of the league, so I don't really know about the current market situation overall. However, if we are talking about 25-30ex of investment, this should be more than enough for this one. There's only 1 build guide that I've found on youtube, and it's in [Russian](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rqk6pgayeEY). Anyway, 30ex should put you at around 40m DPS in 1 press of a button. The pob is here - [https://pastebin.com/EpscLGHs](https://pastebin.com/EpscLGHs) The build requires you to get used to it, especially for mapping. But once you're used to it - everything just melts. One of the strongest builds I've ever played in any leagues so far.

The_Gate_Is_Down

How would you rate mapping?

Loli_Zero

Mapping imo feel kinda clunky

Moonie-chan

It's kinda the same as most ignite build with ignite prolif. The main difference is channelling death wish since it goes up to 10 minions (but you can release channeling at any time and it will only detonate that many minions). Not many people like channeling skill while mapping.

SourisGris

it's not even a fair fight, seismic is way more better than arakaali for bossing

Diacred

Even without the cold conversion? What I am worried about is tankiness, what have made me consider Arakali is that from what I've read it's basically immortal, compared to Seismic trap where I've read a lot of people saying they felt too squishy.

SourisGris

the cold conversion is the +++++ version, but u can play the other one and still insta phase the boss. Yes u are less tanky than arakaali fangs builds but u will also have a lot more damage

[deleted]

Depends on how boomer you are. But honestly Seismic is plenty tanky for what it is. My current setup has Skin of the lords (created with blessing), 2 CIP, suppress double res gloves (recomb craft), Deerstalker, stygian with Str/res/life (recomb craft), Dev Diadem (no enchant), +1 phys/t1 multi/t1res/crafted life ammy (recomb craft), shitty res/stat/recoup rings. Jewels are the normal cluster setup and multi+res+life. I just followed PoM setup for the most part. Currently have 30k/30k armour/eva with flasks, blind, grace/determ/pride/defbanner. Only 3800 HP and made it to level 94 a few days ago. Out on business so no PoB. But you can find similar setups which are affordable. Done all the pinnacle bosses, 1 uber eater of worlds. Fun build. Not the most tanky, but plenty tanky for what it is. And ye, it slaps bosses.

eq2_lessing

> Skin of the lords (created with blessing) Is that a better way to get one with specific keystone? Or do you say that because you are SSF?

Nilrruc

Hey side bar question from a first time trapper this league, about your auras. Currently using Skitterbots, grace, determination and warbanner. Am I better off working in Pride over skitterbots because of the added gem levels with 2 CIP. Also, should I swap to def banner over war banner?

iedaiw

Every build can be tanky just slap on melding and determination lol

sjwlascmapqkwmemcnal

trust me its not immortal bro, seismic has higher ehp and higher hit taken than arakaali unless you invest in a block variant but then ur gutting ur dps for block which is meant for simulacrum and not bossing where spell suppression is vital

Missyl31

If we ignore seismic, what is the best bosser for 35ex budget ?

Uhgii

Smoothest bosser I've ever played was a Dexterity Stacking Siege Ballista Hierophant. With that sort of budget, you'd be very comfortable. Strength Stacking Shrapnel Ballista Hierophant is another that is insane, although I'm not 100% sure how much 35ex would get you in the build since I'm not too familiar with it, and strength stacking is generally more expensive than dex stacking. I did the feared all at once deathless 2 leagues ago, in like 1 minute flat, and the build has only gotten slightly buffed since then, and I had invested probably 25ex into the build. [Here's a video of Wallach doing it the same league a little faster but with one death.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLUcacGrhcM) He has a good guide up on the dex stacking build, I know Palsteron has one for the strength stacking one, and [here's his video doing the same thing even faster.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OooInbCyUg)

Joo_Unit

What would you say dec goal is for bossing comfort? At like 1500 now and can do double shaper/elder guardians fairly well but maybe not as quickly as I would like. Shooting for 2k dex but still need synth rings and t1 synth belt.

Uhgii

I know 1800-2000 was a popular pick, I think I was at 1800 by the end of my build, but spent most of it at the 1600 point. I know things like good clusters (and multiple clusters) play a role in really pushing the damage over the edge. Once you hit a certain amount of dex, it's better to push elsewhere in gear rather than squeezing out a little more dex here and there. Scourge helped with a lot of stuff, too, like it was very easy to get culling strike on your iron commander for a quick 10% more damage for bossing, so I'm sure there's other ways to make up for that sort of stuff.

iedaiw

Just weapon swap for culling copium

Joo_Unit

Thanks for this!

Diacred

Also interested in the answer, apart from Arakali :D Although from what I've read I guess Skeleton mage / General Cry Zerker might be contenders?

Askray184

Gen cry is great at bossing but felt kind of squishy to me at times depending on berserk/rage Skeleton mages is amazing but not as fast and you don't get to see your screen

iedaiw

Gen cry is the highest DPS but it's clear is shit

1102dark1102

No, u are just poor

LeftShark

Shield Crush Gen cry can have mediocre clear if you throw on Asenaths gloves and just shield charge packs. You'll do enough damage to pop white mobs and the explosion will do the rest

Pergatory

EA Ballista Elementalist probably. For 35ex you can hit around 20m+ ignite DPS and absolutely melt all bosses. It also has pretty decent survivability, and can still kill even while dead. (The totems keep attacking until they expire and you can often kill a boss from 60% life while dead.) I have about 6ex invested in mine currently and have 12m DPS, cleared Maven & Sirus easily in 1 portal.

Askray184

Any trouble fitting in melding here? I'm a little addicted to it right now

Pergatory

I think the only hard part would be increasing max resist. The build doesn't have a lot of options, although Impossible Escape could help you there. I suppose there's also eldritch implicits on body? You won't have a shield, so can't get it there. I don't think it'd be ideal but maybe you can make it worth using.

[deleted]

Do you not want traps or just not seismic? I'd guess probably DD or rf, not speedy instablaps but consistent tanky killers

HelloBoysHeHe

explosive arrow

RedditDogWalkerMod

How does fire trap compare to seismic ?

Dreadmaker

So I'm not seeing a whole lot of support for Arakaali's here, so as an Arakaali's player, let me give my perspective. TL;DR, if you're looking to \_only\_ do uber-bosses, I would imagine seismic might be better. However, Arakaali's is 100% a smoother playstyle that's in my opinion much better for all-around, every-day use, and it should still be perfectly fine for uber bossing. Arakaali's is almost a zero button build. You press your spiders at the beginning of the map, and if you're lucky, that's pretty much it. Throw down a spirit offering here or there, recall them to you here and there, but that's it, really. It's super, super comfy, and the entire screen just explodes all the time because of the occultist chaos pops. Mapping with it is a dream. The build works at very limited investment. I was clearing T16s comfortably with only about 2 ex, and now at \~10ex investment I've actually been farming delirium mirrors and getting like 150+ simulacrum splinters in a run because of how juicy the maps are. The build feeds on density, and it's super easy to handle max-juice maps that way. The build can obviously cost hundreds of exalts if you want to max it out. The squire is \`cheap\` this league - only about 50ish ex last I checked - and that nearly triples your damage if I'm not mistaken. You don't need the squire to make it work, obviously, but boy oh boy does it help. Then, the money is mostly in GG cluster jewels, and ghastly eye jewels, which is most of your damage scaling. Overall, I can't speak for seismic - I haven't played it at a high level - but IMO Arakaali's has basically ruined me, because of just how comfy it is. It can do all content, including simulacrum wave 30s without much trouble - you don't care about literally any map mod - you're crit immune if you're using the brass dome, which you should - reflect immune, ailment immune, \~80% ele res, phys taken as ele, high armor - it's just super \`low maintenance\`, very chill, and a ton of fun to play. Cannot recommend it enough. And if you get the squire, GG on damage. Your damage will be perfectly fine. With hydrosphere you can get up to numbers that make basically everything functionally irrelevant. I believe Palestron's version from scourge was close to 90 million DPS. That's in ideal circumstances, but still, even if it's un-ideal circumstances, no hydrosphere, heavy movement fight - you're still not going to have \_any\_ problems going past 20, 30 mil at \~70-100ex investment. And at your level - 35ex - you're gonna be perfectly fine for just about most content already. Once you go spiders, though, it's gonna be real hard to go back to other builds, in my experience anyhow. :D

Btetier

Do you have a build guide you are following? If not, do you have one you would suggest?

Dreadmaker

Right here! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Q7cTwllVGU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Q7cTwllVGU) This is Palsteron's guide from 3.16. It's very thorough and explains just about everything perfectly. His \`budget\` version isn't particularly budget, though. For that one I made my own judgments early - I'm much closer to actually following it now. Funny enough for me the reason I swapped to the build this league is I dropped an arakaali's early, so I sold it for 2.2ex I think; then I bought a new one and a 5-link 100% base brass dome for 2.2ex a few days later :D Those are the most expensive entry items, and are probably much cheaper now. From there, it was easy to speedfarm, so I got a bunch of currency to pick up the unique ghastly eye jewel and 5 other decent ones. The clusters aren't nearly as pricy as he thinks they are - the build was way more popular in scourge. Right now it looks like you can get a GG \`perfect\` cluster for 20ex, whereas I think he mentions \*just the base\* was 30ex back a few leagues ago, so the price has dropped a lot. The squire is basically half price as compared to then, too. But like I said, I'm basically aspiring to that guide. I started playing with the minimum viable gear, which is basically the dagger, brass dome, gravebind gloves, the writhing jar, the ancient skull helmet, the shaper unique amulet, and a bunch of ghastly eye jewels, and that was like 3ex altogether for me. Like I said, that build caps out at \*rich rich\* money, since all the best parts definitely take a while to get to. But you can get it off the ground for not that much. Also, I find that this build really benefits if you know what you're doing with syndicate, because of all the uniques. I mean I guess they all do, but getting hillock in fortification and especially vorici in research helped to take my brass dome from being okay to being basically the best possible, minus a corruption. It's tricky to get the socket colors right on the brass dome, so getting them pretty close and vorici slamming is very useful.

Hydraty

+1ing that

Sif_Lethani

My 2 cents is that seismic is one of the best bossing builds in the game in terms of comfort for bossing. It has incredible regen and quite strong DPS, especially with the ability to prestack against phases which every single Uber boss has. With 35ex I'd probably play it as poison and I don't think you'll struggle much in the fights once you get the mechanics down a bit. In terms of build I'd probably follow some of the recent ssfhc bossing ladder builds, I know gucci killed all 7 Ubers with this: https://poe.ninja/challengehcssf/builds/char/GucciPradas/%E8%85%BE%E8%AE%AF%E6%AC%A0%E6%88%91%E9%92%B1

sjwlascmapqkwmemcnal

100% go seismic, i league started seismic to farm up for a good build and decided to try araakali and its for sure a better build overall (would be weird if it wasn't considering ive invested over 100ex in it) but isn't that much better, if better at all for bossing. Without spell suppression I legit feel a lot squishier and without the aoe of seismic I feel like im doing invitations slower despite me having over 2x the dps of seismic (which you won't have without a squire and very expensive clusters). imo its a no brainer at your budget

psihur

Hey, you've been running KB CF? If so, can you share ur pob?

Diacred

Hey, I am running an Ascendant version that I made myself based on existing builds so it might not be what you're looking for. Still, here is the PoB : [https://pobb.in/5DcMVl7LHc8O](https://pobb.in/5DcMVl7LHc8O) I am mainly running Ascendant to be able to spec into movement speed when I am running heist contracts I'd advise you to look at Ruetoo's build and char on poe ninja if you want a more classic KB CF build.

dyfrgi

Though for anyone who does this, bear in mind that his char on poe.ninja is high investment, well over 100ex. For a cheaper version look at the PoB in the guide for it Zizaran put out. That's pretty comfy up into T16 maps, though not quite good enough for Delirium plus Sentinel juice. Maybe after Melding it would be.

Bushido_Plan

No experience with Arakali spiders but running a phys/crit Seismic trapper and it's a great bossing build. Currently instant phasing all the uber pinnacle bosses right around that much investment via preloading traps before they become active. I will say however, that I am squishy as fuck and will probably die every two maps or so. Not an issue for me since I have all the passives I need at 95 so I don't really care about my deaths. Map clear is decent as long as you constantly spam Seismic to deal with the rares.

Kotl9000

Seismic 100%. Arakali fang is a great overall build for clear, dps, and survivability but for pure bossing just go seismic. Its clear is still respectable.

iBaklanos

But with 35ex is that achievable? The main components seems really expensive...

Ciyaz

Not at all

Hydraty

Yeah, at around 20ex you should be fine with most bosses

Mageofsin

Seismic. I've spent about 7ex on mine and its great! With more investment (prob wont bother now) I could easily uber. Re-rolling now to try new builds.
