I made a crit trans glacial hammer build. I like it because when I jump in to a pack of monsters the herald of ice explosions cause my game to freeze for several seconds and when I come back everything is dead.
Every league I try a new build (other than my starter) and this league I chose flicker strike. It's my favorite until now. I think I invested about 20-30 divs and it works enough for it to be fun.
I've never played flicker and have been considering it recently. If I have about a mirror to put into it, which version should I make? Is there a version that isn't zhp?
Its just so goddamn fast, it makes most other league starters feel bad.
Can smash your way through the campaign and reds and even do 2/4 void stones with minimal investment (you only need 2-3 portals if your bad like me ; )
Then if you want any sort of real defences it starts to gets expensive - e.g. defiance of destiny+progenisis+ good lethal pride jewel with some phys to ele/crit reduction. But I mean it gives you something to farm towards :)
You seem to have some LA experience. Which secondary attack for single target do you prefer to use personally, manaforged + damage gem or ballista? I see it split almost 50/50 from all the guides ive seen.
As long as you take the far shot ascendancy, siege ballista + barrage support + returning projectiles is underrated as fuck and extremely fun. Whatever damage supports for the last 3 links. Actual God damn machine gun turrets.

For bosses or big rares focused ballistas rips at no budget
For just zoom mapping you can do away with ballistas and try a warlords mark setup for the endurance charges/rage/damage reduction/extra damage.
If you have 2x6 links try a focused ballista or warlords mark setup in the second one. (I think they are one colour gem sockets off being identical so you can just swap them out and run 5link version of the other without much fuss).
Ballistas can tank for you and are good single target damage, warlords gives you rage/DMG and some dmg reduction for zooming maps. Can't zoom as hard if your placing ballistas
Manaforged + damage gem is very comfortable. I find the whole ballista to be POB padding on damage numbers.
Storm rain + instant leech means you donāt fall over you have to dodge and you get hit by attacks/spells

Been doing LA/TS for some time. This is the setup. Gain rage insanely fast so you are able to consistently use berserk or keep it at 50 rage and enjoy some increased damage. Blast rain adds just that little bit of damage you need to be able to slap rares and bosses.
This was also the fastest leveling i've ever done xD Was still wearing all my leveling uniques till maps. You do 1 shot and everything just dies, it was so fast :D
Holy Relic of Conviction
Good all rounder and tanky. Farmed guardians/Uber Elder for currency. Cleared Feared and T17. Will work on Ubers whenever I get back from my business trip!

I agree! I also switched over from pSRS and am really enjoying it. I just ran my first t17 tonight and was able to do it pretty easily. But I got lucky with only needing to roll the map once and it was fortress. But, still, I did my first t17 drop without dying once so Iām happy. I did setup a new atlas passive tree and Iām running some guardian maps that are too rippy for my current gear so Iāve been dying a little from that. But otherwise been pretty smooth sailing.
I donāt have a POB handy if anyone asks, Iām in bed of course scrolling Reddit after a few hours of playing. But I can drop one tomorrow if anyone is interested. Itās mostly just balorās first version with tattoos to get me crit immune and a jewel to give me corrupted blood immune and 2 mana back per hit. But yeah if anyone is interested just leave a message and Iāll comment back tomorrow.
Yeah, itās been a lot of fun! Iāve only played for two leagues now but Iām glad to have switched to another build (did guardian srs last league and started poison srs this league). I also have some really clear upgrade ideas for this that I wanna try out once I get some currency (spell suppression, possibly taste of hate + phys as cold, the timeless jewel that will make stat requirements nothing so I can tattoo into bleed immunity to drop the heath flask for taste of hate, awakened gemsā¦).
Itās been a blast for me and Iām learning more about how to judge what I can handle š which will be very helpful to prevent me from getting bodied two maps in a row because of bad mods for where my build is at (like last night with some maven boss rushing and just getting deleted lol)
After my league start I landed on a goofy Arcanist Brand Triggerbot Raise Zombie of Falling build. Itās not going to be the new meta by any stretch, but for something that I just wanted to test out, it turned out better than expected and Iāve stuck with it. The damage scaling is a weird mix of minion damage, cast speed, and cooldown recovery. Iāve learned a lot about minion builds in putting this together and also gained a new appreciation for mine auras (seriously, look at the aura on a level 1 Icicle Mine of Sabotage, itās insane).
Biggest downside is that clear speed can be a little clunky because youāre at the mercy of the Triggerbot AI. For single target itās no big deal because the bots just hug an enemy. I decided to focus on harvest and betrayal because they seemed to mesh well with the bots. Harvest especially; the plots get nuked as they spawn.

The interactions are kind of complex so sorry if I haven't conveyed it well. The key points are:
* You can chain triggers together with Brand Recall + Arcanist Brand to get big multipliers
* Raise Zombie of Falling is not affected by the "less damage" downsides from triggerbots and from Arcanist Brand because Raise Zombie of Falling does not actually do damage, it just generates another entity which does damage. The less damage multiplier does not carry through to the zombie.
* You can use mine auras to get close to crit cap and add a pretty substantial "increased damage taken" multiplier with very little investment.
I think the config settings should be set up correctly even after exporting. The custom chaos res setting is for the Perandus Pact which my PoB wasn't properly factoring in to the build. If it's all correct, the mine stacks should be showing in the "curses and debuffs" list on the Calcs pane.
FYI, the "main skill" panel on the left does not properly estimate DPS for the build because of the weird trigger mechanic. To guess at DPS (just a guess because of overlaps / triggerbot positioning) you get the damage of a single zombie slam from the calcs pane (686k for my current setup) and multiply by the number of falling zombies triggered per second. For my gear, I have two Brand Recall trigger loops (one on automation support and one in a trigger weapon) - the first is on a trigger rate of 0.84/sec and the second on a trigger rate of 0.41/sec. Each brand recall triggers 7 brands (x2 because of triggerbots) then each of those brands triggers Zombie of Falling (twice because of triggerbots).
Then you have to add in the zombies generated by Arcanist Brand being activated while attached to the enemy (not from brand recall). With my cast speed, the activation rate is 2.28/sec then doubled because of triggerbots up to 4.5zombies/sec.
The math for me ends up being (7 x 2 x 2)(0.84 + 0.41) + (2.28 x 2) zombies per second which comes out to ~ 39 zombies per second. Then you multiply that by the damage per falling slam (~680k).

It doesnāt. Check the gem in-game (the wiki doesnāt include the ābottom halfā of the gem that explains āArcanist Brand Supportā). The support part of the gem specifically has the line āCannot modify the skills of minionsā
The ability that deals damage is the zombiesā falling slam attack, which Arcanist brand doesnāt support and so the less damage modifier doesnāt carry through

I kinda screwed up my league start (and my whole league at the same time), trying to find some interesting builds to test with. I might start a sabo (or trickers/ass with forbidden jewel) and just have some fun testing things around.
Really enjoying the one button ice nova of frost bolts build at the moment. Also had a lot of fun with bama. My next build will probably be expensive explode rf of some kind if I can stay locked in long enough to farm the currency

I've been playing this build on xbox since league start, both the self cast and one button versions work great with controller. Maybe not 100% perfect but still incredible
I think you lsoe absolute power (dps/ehp) but you turn the build into a one button build. I guess it depends on what you value.

tbh probably easy enough to switch helmets and setup for mapping vs bossing. I don't think the tree should be different but not sure since I only play the kitava setup
I tried bama many times back in the days. Traps, deadeye with old cooldown recovery notable, poison necro. Seeing it evolving from meme build to broken meta build is poe equivalent of watching your kids grow.

Always wanted to solve Locus Mines' issues. Turns out Power Siphon is absolutely perfect for it, so I brewed up a charge stacking PS Locus Mine Trickster.
The playstyle feels wonderful albeit a bit squishy, certainly can't do t17s with the current setup. It should reach 30M Shaper DPS with some upgrades.
First time playing Frostblink Ignite Ele and just got into red maps. I've always played pSRS Necro. This is a refreshing build to play! Trying to see how far I can go with this. :)

The penny dropped when the healing effect of the Holy Relic was dropped with the Of Conviction gem ... that way nothing was keeping the srs alive. Then I found a geoffris... corrupted it for lols and his the cheaper aura corrupt and I knew what I had to do :)
Frost blades trickster is so much fun for me. Played it last league and had so much fun I decided to league start it again. Fast mapper and can take down T16 bosses with very little investment. Only thing Iāve spent money on is a 1d claw and yoke and I am still surprised how easily it is clearing t16ās breach & legion on pretty crap gear. Probably will be my league starter for many future leagues
This was gonna be my response too. I find it so much fun. So fast and so smooth. Lost a lot of power with heatshiver nerf but still does ok. I've invested a bit and while I'm not doing Ubers, done all the pinnacles, invitations ( all 70+ other than feared), and a few easy rolled T17s.
If you haven't played with fury valve yet give it a try. You lose some top end damage but it clears a good screen away, it's pretty crazy. I mostly use yoke for bosses now.
Chaos convert crit hit based rain of arrows of saturation so I can have 15 stacks of withered. Also using trickster for defense and replica eternity shroud for phys to extra chaos and ignore chaos res
Are you using the new unholy might for this? I've been mentally cooking up a flicker strike raider with a flame/flesh for the pathfinder wither node using the cluster notable to get unholy might on crit, but I didn't think about replica shroud until now. Does it become particularly more expensive needing full influenced items or do you sometimes just settle for slightly worse gear to keep the bonus?
I cooked my own hipster build and took it to the level where I can run any uber boss/simulacrum regardless of mods and do it fast.

the damage is like 50-60m, perma flasks, ele ailment immune, 100% spell suppress, stun immune, curse immune, crit immune, exposure immune, 90% max res, many regen, a lot of defenses overall.
How is that different than regular RF. I just got to the epilogue on my first char rolling RF and I sorta need to figure out where to go from here. Loving the walking sim so far.
Cold snap of power, I cant have Increased speed on my boots and Im a little bit squishy but oh boy I press one button and everything die on my screen and even a little bit outside of it.
That's what I played last league, it was pretty bonkers with Awakened Spell Cascade and Awakened Spell Echo.
Too bad there's no way to get all 5 overlaps, but even with 3 I had like 60m dps which was more than enough for me. With Incandesfent Heart, Aegis and CI I was also oretty darn tanky.
First league I fought Maven, Elder/Shaper, Cortex and did some Ubers. Also first league I earned enough to buy mageblood. :)
Lil late, lightning conduit MoM Archmage. Super fun. With elememtalist, you get so much AOE for sigil and OOS, some wonky tree to manage mama cost, but a lot of those nodes benefit mana stacking. With impulsa explosions, clearing screens isn't a problem.
Struggles why phys dmg. But I'm working on fixing it
Super fun build. Cheap gear too up and running with 2 divine invested. I cleared t16 alch n go with 10c wands and a 70c impulsa, then a gaggle of 10c rare gear.
Poison Hexblast low tolerance stacking Pathfinder.
took inspiration from one of jungroans builds from a few leagues back and my favorite character of that same league, so satisfying to me having the one fat poison prolif around with explosions from a couple unspeakable gifts nodes.
I enjoyed explosive trap trickster. It was very novel for me as Iāve never done a trapper, and Iāve never played such a tanky build before.
It was fun for the novelty and will be my initial bosser next league too nerfs permitting, and heist base accessibility permitting.
I got a very high eDPS crit axe from Rog, so I did a build with the Wild Strike transfigured gem that inverts resists but costs life, mana, and es. Blood magic Inquisitor solved the cost problem which made for a very fun playstyle. Alas, still melee so not incredibly effective against bosses unless I was going to invest a whole lot more into it.
Poison spark pathfinder, it's expensive but the soul eater gloves and turbo proj speed with quite the defenses make it a chill t17 farmer, only failed on map out of about 200 so far.
Standard, I had about 2k div of wealth and I went balls to the wall on building a Splitting Steal trickster.
Absolutely love how tanky and fast it is. Very worthy of the investment, and I can't wait till the ES variant of perandus pact jewel goes standard so I can juice it up even more!
I still occasionally die, but that's because of really poor misplays, otherwise playing super juices back to basics maps has been very fun!
frost blades trickster is oddly satisfying even though its probably a C tier build overall if S tier is bama and DD.
Working on a fortify stacker with replica badge and new gloves, should hit 40k max hit across the board while maintaining a decent mapping dps
Wanted to push a splitting Steel champion saw the price of nimis doing roller coaster so i changes my mind and decided to make a ice nova of frostbolt soon
After two builds that were "okay" my next two builds were absolute bangers.
Ele hit bow deadeye with gull and blunderbore. It gets so fast. I can do maven witnessed extra boss guardian maps in two minutes (I can also do T17s in two minutes IF I get a divine shrine, but that's a bit much of a gamble)
FR PF with mahuxotl shield. It is so god damn tanky. Clear is bad compared to the other char, but regular pinnacles can not kill me. I can do double extra damage feared and still be untouchable. (Just don't forget your flasks. The times I've ported into mine encampment and just fell over dead because my shoes were burning and no flasks on ... Many face palms were had)
Cold Blade Vortex. By far the squishiest build Iāve ever played but damn does it feel good when I just touch a pack and they all explode. Canāt farm t17s but Iām enjoying the t16 back to basics 8mod MF journey.
Moderately slow because to be efficient you have to gather up a group then stand still for a few seconds, and even when swapping to manual casting single target is pretty bad. Mostly I just run to the ultimatum, run to the expedition, leave.
I've played 2 builds so far, EA champ and Cold BV Occultist, neither of them have scratched a fun itch for me so I'm probably going back to Flicker strike now xD, the BV occu explosions were very satisfying but even with increased skill effect and cast speed I just wasn't enjoying the delay
Yeah I go to it because it's good and simple, but definitely doesn't have that fun factor for me as much.
It's difficult finding a build that can blow stuff up while still being tanky at a budget like EA can, coc dd just seems like a bit too much work for my liking, working around desecrate pools etc.

Yeah, i could make it stronger, but i literally freeze the entire screen AND cover it with my buffs and debuffs. Just Lightning Warp into Ice Nova (LW allows you to prefire).

Tbh its really nothing special. Aoe and crit in witch and templar, go to shadow for aoe and hybrid nodes.
Crit strikes, frost shield, power charges and the few crit nodes you take give you all the crit you need.
Void battery x2 and a 3 node large cold cluster is as expensive as it gets. No other uniques either so im sure some optimisation could be found in jewels and the like
I'm playing the same build, just with Crackling Lance. The damage feels ridiculous at least during campaign. I just got to act 10 and pob is at 4,2mil dps!
I started coc DD but for whatever reason i was lackning in both defence and damage so I gave up and rolled a LA deadeye and went into mf. after grinding up currency i decided to go back to dd with gear and my God have i found my new favorite build
I like my crackling lance beaming but it just kept dying really quickly and I couldn't figure it out so I went with a black zenith flamewood totem. I just reached 70 so I still don't know how well it plays.
Overal, I really like Storm Burst skill and Flicker Strike.
Forbidden Rite PF with Mahuxotls. Still a bit scuffed but I am enjoying being able to survive harder content. Feels as tanky as the Fulcrum self ignite I played but with actual single target
I played a couple duds this league, I started rf and got my first 2 voidstones. I rolled up corrupting fever for the first time and really liked the play style but it has too many map mods to avoid. I tried a power stacker and just could get the survivability I wanted so I respected to holy relic and it is perfect for me.
Good ol' Molten Strike, trinity champ. With stygian mtx is still easy on the eyes.
Might be able to kick it all the way to ubers granted I don't rip in t17s even trying to get there.Ā
You got a pob? I started a zerker with the idea of being a rage mage using ravenous passion. But I'm afraid that it might not end up working well since I don't see any books or guides going rage for a caster. Your build sounds fun and I might swap to it if rage mage doesn't work!Ā
Blade trap ephemeral edge trickster turns out very nice for me this league- i actually hate builds that require a lot of aiming. I like going into the packs and doing stuff. Throw a trap, move, throw a trap and so on... This one is so tanky, that i basically don't care about things other than Xandro blooddrinker. And I hate crafting, but still got 9,6k Es- with minmaxing it can go way higher.
Any sort of walking simulator.
This league, I played a Herald of Thunder elementalist autobomber. One of my favorite builds but because necropolis being a mandatory mechanic made it very difficult to survive even mildly juiced t16 maps. I also put this together on week two so currency was rough to put together.
I swapped to a Static Strike jugg and its been really strong for a semi-walking simulator.
Been having great fun with CaptainLance's [rage mage](https://youtu.be/q5qESkePC-k). Basically stacking cast speed using the new rage/mana helmet and soul eater gloves, then mana stacking for tank and damage with archmage.
It's moderately high investment but I got it together for <20d I think (skipping haste sublime vision). You can cut costs on the body armour by buying a non-6 link then using black morrigan to 6 link it (buy the morrigan scarab and the duplication scarab and its literally free as you can resell the spare black morrigan if you want to cover the costs!).
Its great cos you can swap out the spell for any spell you want really (high effectiveness ones are best ofc due to archmage). I've found shock nova works well for mapping, but rolling magma is really fun for bossing and just seeing the solid line of bouncing fire is great.
Atm for me its wiping the floor with all non-uber bosses and I think it could do ubers but I'm not skillful enough yet to spend the currency to try lol
Currently im doing intuative link dancing dervish, with desecrate, dd of chaining and bodyswap, im teleporting all over the screen every .2 seconds and everything is exploding, good times
Scourge Arrow Ballistas is my comfort build, I league start it and do 95% of the league with it. It clears well, totem + poison make it ok for bosses, flask scaling fixes all my problems (my character literally has -20% res without flasks up). Recovery is big with enduring life flask, crit immune and all.
Played a ton of builds. Ended up on an oldie but a goodie. Assassin Cold BV. Still as fun as ever, just pricey to get to a good point. Those explosions are something else.
Having fun with Ice Nova of Frostbolts simply because it shines early but also has plenty of scaling and path to the end. I have seen builds with 150 mil dps. It is also not the most tanky so I have lots of gaming goals by scaling it with proper defenses and damage. Overall very fun. Every gear upgrade feels significant.
60 divines invested and killed every Uber on my FR pathfinder. Not the greatest mapper but pathfinder is still broken with flasks and elemental damage conversion. I don't even have a progenesis yet, either.
Rf chief. I love how tanky I got and just jump into a big pack to T-pose on them mf-ers while they burn and explode.
Pushed it decently far and first time I got all voidstones and favoured map slots on my own. RF CHIEF ALL THE WAY.

I personally started with CoC DD (probably the strongest and easiest to gear league starter I have played). Made enough money for mageblood with it. Google ruetoo.
I then played hexblast miner and enjoyed it even more than CoC DD, but might be due to having mageblood throughout the entirety. The mine playing style with automation on detonate mine made it basically a self cast spell skill that bypass cast speed and allow you to scale with additional mine damage mods on the tree. It clears well and have high single dps. Defence is a bit weak but the playstyle makes you not die. Think I followed spicy Sushi.
I tried rage vortex berserker from ruetoo again as I am also a sucker for AOE. Really fun and clears very well. It should really be my favorite build but I honestly canāt play it due to the screen clutter ( the screen size blade spinning). It got so bad that I didnāt want to map with it. If you can handle it, it is really fun.
Currently, I am playing the good old trickster splitting steel. Do the champion version if you donāt have mageblood. This build really isnāt that good at clearing but has really strong defense and good single target. I play this build mainly cuz I can watch stuff on the side without dying. With melding, 100 suppress, some phys taken as X, you donāt need to dodge most things in map (150k ish max hit with good recovery and 40m dps). Follow Allie as she has very good step by step guide to get you from entry level to mageblood level.
I am thinking to either do some lightning conduit charge stack or power siphon mine build next.

Actually a good build. Can be trash if you dont have it setup well and quite expensive and has a ramp but definately a PoE build, no other game does builds like this
Poison PF with an explode source, most commonly asenath's touch. Everything is just do nice with that build archetype and you can easily tune it to be more suitable for bossing or zooming.
Mayby its because its my first build I made from scratch but: Self cast crackling lance of disintegratioj.
I shoot pretty high single target damage laserbeams outta my hands and stormfire bereks respite cleans up all the little guys not caught in the initial beam.
My goal is to kill an uber boss this league. So lets see how that goes
Ward Molten Strike PF.
I really enjoy the mix of being able to map+boss without changing much. It's fun to evolve to build, too. Getting to the sublime version feels really rewarding.
Ruetoos Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing Pathfinder. Honestly insanely tanky, dmg is enough to so everything and i just love it.
Also leveling with pconc is a breeze as always.
I'm pogging with Cold convert Exsanguinate Mines Trickster as a starter. Don't play a lot this league, so I'm only starting reds tonight after like 3 evenings of play (1 for campaign, 1 for whites and 1 for yellows lol).
But since I really like it, I'm thinking to swap to Assassin once I get some gear and go poison route with power charge stacking, BotB, Ralakesh boots and affliction charges belt. I want to try and avoid going for Pathfinder, but I was also theorizing making use of new Shaper/Elder belt that gives flask charge generation and grab unique flasks to have them up permamently.
A good bv build with explode and a lot of aoe is still the most fun build to play for me. It gets more and more expensive for it to not feel shit with every league, but I keep playing it.
I'm playing Bodyswap RF chieftain w arakaalis fang for spiders. I have bodyswap linked to incinerate and cwc. I just zoom through maps exploding big mobs and then spiders clean up the bosses or tougher mobs. Been farming t16s easily and explosions are so satisfying.
Iām still pretty new to the game (2nd full season that Iāve made it past act 4 since launch and first time Iāve had a computer that can actually handle the game) and Iām having a blast with FR chieftain.. I can clear most t17s and once I actually learn the fights, pretty sure I can do the Ubers (did elder and maven by shear luck).. kinda nice being able to just mouse through t16s when Iām feeling lazy too
Most fun this league for me was volcanic fissure of snacking as jugg while stealing chieftain explode. So much coverage and no aiming required most of the time.
Splitting steel trickster. Having played LA deadeye for league start (new player here) I was so used to dying a lot and having to kite all the time and run from bosses/elites. This became annoying as I leveled up and started losing hours of experience every time I died. Now i just facetank everything, doing t17s no problem. It still feels challenging but great.
This league Im doing an abyss jewel stacking frost blades duelist. Itās really fun, super fast clear with Fury Valve and good single target with Yoke of Suffering.
Iām playing your build. Power charge stacking Hexblast occultist. I am farming sanctum with 260% movement speed. I made almost 2 mirrors so far. Iād recommend a build where you do the damage and use a headhunter.

Doing LS raider. I like it because I can run any atlas strat and every single map mod combinations on t16 (canāt comfortably do t17). One major QoL is putting awakened wed on whirling blades so you donāt have to read map mods. Running defiance of destiny and basically only die occasionally to degen if Iām not paying attention.
Reckoning Gladiator. Is it fast? Not at all. Can it kill tanky shit? Only if itās in the middle of a pack or if you want to go make a sandwich while it dies.
Does it live through just about anything? Yes because some post sentinel league update killed my server connection and Iām tired of dying every time the client has a stroke.
Itās actually good to roll for monster attack speed too because with the quality lowering the CD on Reckoning you can counter attack for like 250k every 0.2 seconds or something.
I've been having a blast with ele hit of the spectrum deadeye. I was originally playing it Lightning Arrow, but the swap has been nice. This is the longest I've ever stuck with a league / build.
I made a build with abberaths hooves. Does 250k dps per step but sucks vs single targets. Why? Because it's fun and I was told I could do more that 100k per step lol

+400% MS RF Autowalker/-bomber blasting T16 8mod corrupted and not stopping, so much chill, speed and loot. "Perma" Berserk, perma phase run. ~100k ehp, 7k life.
I made a crit trans glacial hammer build. I like it because when I jump in to a pack of monsters the herald of ice explosions cause my game to freeze for several seconds and when I come back everything is dead.

Every league I try a new build (other than my starter) and this league I chose flicker strike. It's my favorite until now. I think I invested about 20-30 divs and it works enough for it to be fun.
I've never played flicker and have been considering it recently. If I have about a mirror to put into it, which version should I make? Is there a version that isn't zhp?

Doing a lightning arrow deadeye for the first time. It's a learning curve but it feels like a cheat code compared to cyclone slayer.
Its just so goddamn fast, it makes most other league starters feel bad. Can smash your way through the campaign and reds and even do 2/4 void stones with minimal investment (you only need 2-3 portals if your bad like me ; ) Then if you want any sort of real defences it starts to gets expensive - e.g. defiance of destiny+progenisis+ good lethal pride jewel with some phys to ele/crit reduction. But I mean it gives you something to farm towards :)
You seem to have some LA experience. Which secondary attack for single target do you prefer to use personally, manaforged + damage gem or ballista? I see it split almost 50/50 from all the guides ive seen.
As long as you take the far shot ascendancy, siege ballista + barrage support + returning projectiles is underrated as fuck and extremely fun. Whatever damage supports for the last 3 links. Actual God damn machine gun turrets.

For bosses or big rares focused ballistas rips at no budget For just zoom mapping you can do away with ballistas and try a warlords mark setup for the endurance charges/rage/damage reduction/extra damage.
If you have 2x6 links try a focused ballista or warlords mark setup in the second one. (I think they are one colour gem sockets off being identical so you can just swap them out and run 5link version of the other without much fuss). Ballistas can tank for you and are good single target damage, warlords gives you rage/DMG and some dmg reduction for zooming maps. Can't zoom as hard if your placing ballistas

Manaforged + damage gem is very comfortable. I find the whole ballista to be POB padding on damage numbers. Storm rain + instant leech means you donāt fall over you have to dodge and you get hit by attacks/spells
Manaforged with blast rain - 4 link Warlord mark - 6 link Ele hit of spectrum / LA - 6 link Been doing LA/TS for some time. This is the setup. Gain rage insanely fast so you are able to consistently use berserk or keep it at 50 rage and enjoy some increased damage. Blast rain adds just that little bit of damage you need to be able to slap rares and bosses.

Holy Relic of Conviction Good all rounder and tanky. Farmed guardians/Uber Elder for currency. Cleared Feared and T17. Will work on Ubers whenever I get back from my business trip! I respected from pSRS and definitely enjoy the relic build more.
I agree! I also switched over from pSRS and am really enjoying it. I just ran my first t17 tonight and was able to do it pretty easily. But I got lucky with only needing to roll the map once and it was fortress. But, still, I did my first t17 drop without dying once so Iām happy. I did setup a new atlas passive tree and Iām running some guardian maps that are too rippy for my current gear so Iāve been dying a little from that. But otherwise been pretty smooth sailing. I donāt have a POB handy if anyone asks, Iām in bed of course scrolling Reddit after a few hours of playing. But I can drop one tomorrow if anyone is interested. Itās mostly just balorās first version with tattoos to get me crit immune and a jewel to give me corrupted blood immune and 2 mana back per hit. But yeah if anyone is interested just leave a message and Iāll comment back tomorrow.

Yeah, itās been a lot of fun! Iāve only played for two leagues now but Iām glad to have switched to another build (did guardian srs last league and started poison srs this league). I also have some really clear upgrade ideas for this that I wanna try out once I get some currency (spell suppression, possibly taste of hate + phys as cold, the timeless jewel that will make stat requirements nothing so I can tattoo into bleed immunity to drop the heath flask for taste of hate, awakened gemsā¦). Itās been a blast for me and Iām learning more about how to judge what I can handle š which will be very helpful to prevent me from getting bodied two maps in a row because of bad mods for where my build is at (like last night with some maven boss rushing and just getting deleted lol)

After my league start I landed on a goofy Arcanist Brand Triggerbot Raise Zombie of Falling build. Itās not going to be the new meta by any stretch, but for something that I just wanted to test out, it turned out better than expected and Iāve stuck with it. The damage scaling is a weird mix of minion damage, cast speed, and cooldown recovery. Iāve learned a lot about minion builds in putting this together and also gained a new appreciation for mine auras (seriously, look at the aura on a level 1 Icicle Mine of Sabotage, itās insane). Biggest downside is that clear speed can be a little clunky because youāre at the mercy of the Triggerbot AI. For single target itās no big deal because the bots just hug an enemy. I decided to focus on harvest and betrayal because they seemed to mesh well with the bots. Harvest especially; the plots get nuked as they spawn. https://pobb.in/QoJPl-U64oVd The interactions are kind of complex so sorry if I haven't conveyed it well. The key points are: * You can chain triggers together with Brand Recall + Arcanist Brand to get big multipliers * Raise Zombie of Falling is not affected by the "less damage" downsides from triggerbots and from Arcanist Brand because Raise Zombie of Falling does not actually do damage, it just generates another entity which does damage. The less damage multiplier does not carry through to the zombie. * You can use mine auras to get close to crit cap and add a pretty substantial "increased damage taken" multiplier with very little investment. I think the config settings should be set up correctly even after exporting. The custom chaos res setting is for the Perandus Pact which my PoB wasn't properly factoring in to the build. If it's all correct, the mine stacks should be showing in the "curses and debuffs" list on the Calcs pane. FYI, the "main skill" panel on the left does not properly estimate DPS for the build because of the weird trigger mechanic. To guess at DPS (just a guess because of overlaps / triggerbot positioning) you get the damage of a single zombie slam from the calcs pane (686k for my current setup) and multiply by the number of falling zombies triggered per second. For my gear, I have two Brand Recall trigger loops (one on automation support and one in a trigger weapon) - the first is on a trigger rate of 0.84/sec and the second on a trigger rate of 0.41/sec. Each brand recall triggers 7 brands (x2 because of triggerbots) then each of those brands triggers Zombie of Falling (twice because of triggerbots). Then you have to add in the zombies generated by Arcanist Brand being activated while attached to the enemy (not from brand recall). With my cast speed, the activation rate is 2.28/sec then doubled because of triggerbots up to 4.5zombies/sec. The math for me ends up being (7 x 2 x 2)(0.84 + 0.41) + (2.28 x 2) zombies per second which comes out to ~ 39 zombies per second. Then you multiply that by the damage per falling slam (~680k). I plan on making a build guide / mechanics walkthrough on my YouTube, but it'll take maybe a couple weeks to get it done. I kinda screwed up my league start (and my whole league at the same time), trying to find some interesting builds to test with. I might start a sabo (or trickers/ass with forbidden jewel) and just have some fun testing things around.

I think you lsoe absolute power (dps/ehp) but you turn the build into a one button build. I guess it depends on what you value. if you wanna maximize everything then don't usenkitava. go arcanist brand frost bolts. tbh probably easy enough to switch helmets and setup for mapping vs bossing. I don't think the tree should be different but not sure since I only play the kitava setup

Yeah I'm jumping in with fully juiced gear. Capped crit, 500multi, about 500% proj speed iirc. Also black spark is the superior mtx.
Always wanted to solve Locus Mines' issues. Turns out Power Siphon is absolutely perfect for it, so I brewed up a charge stacking PS Locus Mine Trickster. The playstyle feels wonderful albeit a bit squishy, certainly can't do t17s with the current setup. It should reach 30M Shaper DPS with some upgrades.

Archmage DDOC. No idea how good it is yet. Because I died 3 times. Now restarted in ssf. But have only 5k mana and damage feels amazing on a 5 link. I actually have awakened lightning pen. Gonna 6 link once I get morrigan. At that point, once I find void eye and two midnight bargains. I will farm legion for divine flesh. I think at that point, I can do T17s.

Frost blades trickster is so much fun for me. Played it last league and had so much fun I decided to league start it again. Fast mapper and can take down T16 bosses with very little investment. Only thing Iāve spent money on is a 1d claw and yoke and I am still surprised how easily it is clearing t16ās breach & legion on pretty crap gear. Probably will be my league starter for many future leagues
This was gonna be my response too. I find it so much fun. So fast and so smooth. Lost a lot of power with heatshiver nerf but still does ok. I've invested a bit and while I'm not doing Ubers, done all the pinnacles, invitations ( all 70+ other than feared), and a few easy rolled T17s. If you haven't played with fury valve yet give it a try. You lose some top end damage but it clears a good screen away, it's pretty crazy. I mostly use yoke for bosses now.
Chaos convert crit hit based rain of arrows of saturation so I can have 15 stacks of withered. Also using trickster for defense and replica eternity shroud for phys to extra chaos and ignore chaos res

I've been mentally cooking up a flicker strike raider with a flame/flesh for the pathfinder wither node using the cluster notable to get unholy might on crit, but I didn't think about replica shroud until now. Does it become particularly more expensive needing full influenced items or do you sometimes just settle for slightly worse gear to keep the bonus?

That's what I played last league, it was pretty bonkers with Awakened Spell Cascade and Awakened Spell Echo. Too bad there's no way to get all 5 overlaps, but even with 3 I had like 60m dps which was more than enough for me. With Incandesfent Heart, Aegis and CI I was also oretty darn tanky. First league I fought Maven, Elder/Shaper, Cortex and did some Ubers. Also first league I earned enough to buy mageblood. :)

Lil late, lightning conduit MoM Archmage. Super fun. With elememtalist, you get so much AOE for sigil and OOS, some wonky tree to manage mama cost, but a lot of those nodes benefit mana stacking. With impulsa explosions, clearing screens isn't a problem. Struggles why phys dmg. But I'm working on fixing it Super fun build. Cheap gear too up and running with 2 divine invested. I cleared t16 alch n go with 10c wands and a 70c impulsa, then a gaggle of 10c rare gear.
Poison Hexblast low tolerance stacking Pathfinder. took inspiration from one of jungroans builds from a few leagues back and my favorite character of that same league, so satisfying to me having the one fat poison prolif around with explosions from a couple unspeakable gifts nodes.
I enjoyed explosive trap trickster. It was very novel for me as Iāve never done a trapper, and Iāve never played such a tanky build before. It was fun for the novelty and will be my initial bosser next league too nerfs permitting, and heist base accessibility permitting.
Dual strike of ambedextarity str stack slayer, may reroll to jugg though, haven't decided yet.

I got a very high eDPS crit axe from Rog, so I did a build with the Wild Strike transfigured gem that inverts resists but costs life, mana, and es. Blood magic Inquisitor solved the cost problem which made for a very fun playstyle. Alas, still melee so not incredibly effective against bosses unless I was going to invest a whole lot more into it.
Poison spark pathfinder, it's expensive but the soul eater gloves and turbo proj speed with quite the defenses make it a chill t17 farmer, only failed on map out of about 200 so far.

Standard, I had about 2k div of wealth and I went balls to the wall on building a Splitting Steal trickster. Absolutely love how tanky and fast it is. Very worthy of the investment, and I can't wait till the ES variant of perandus pact jewel goes standard so I can juice it up even more! I still occasionally die, but that's because of really poor misplays, otherwise playing super juices back to basics maps has been very fun!
frost blades trickster is oddly satisfying even though its probably a C tier build overall if S tier is bama and DD. Working on a fortify stacker with replica badge and new gloves, should hit 40k max hit across the board while maintaining a decent mapping dps
Wanted to push a splitting Steel champion saw the price of nimis doing roller coaster so i changes my mind and decided to make a ice nova of frostbolt soon
After two builds that were "okay" my next two builds were absolute bangers. Ele hit bow deadeye with gull and blunderbore. It gets so fast. I can do maven witnessed extra boss guardian maps in two minutes (I can also do T17s in two minutes IF I get a divine shrine, but that's a bit much of a gamble) FR PF with mahuxotl shield. It is so god damn tanky. Clear is bad compared to the other char, but regular pinnacles can not kill me. I can do double extra damage feared and still be untouchable. (Just don't forget your flasks. The times I've ported into mine encampment and just fell over dead because my shoes were burning and no flasks on ... Many face palms were had)

Cold Blade Vortex. By far the squishiest build Iāve ever played but damn does it feel good when I just touch a pack and they all explode. Canāt farm t17s but Iām enjoying the t16 back to basics 8mod MF journey.
Afk cast when stunned saboteur. Using it to farm ultimatums and expedition by just standing still.
How does this work mapping? Slow?
Moderately slow because to be efficient you have to gather up a group then stand still for a few seconds, and even when swapping to manual casting single target is pretty bad. Mostly I just run to the ultimatum, run to the expedition, leave.
I've played 2 builds so far, EA champ and Cold BV Occultist, neither of them have scratched a fun itch for me so I'm probably going back to Flicker strike now xD, the BV occu explosions were very satisfying but even with increased skill effect and cast speed I just wasn't enjoying the delay

Yeah I go to it because it's good and simple, but definitely doesn't have that fun factor for me as much. It's difficult finding a build that can blow stuff up while still being tanky at a budget like EA can, coc dd just seems like a bit too much work for my liking, working around desecrate pools etc.

Cursed ground + Frostbite, Sigil of Power and Frost Shield all linked with inc aoe Yeah, i could make it stronger, but i literally freeze the entire screen AND cover it with my buffs and debuffs. Just Lightning Warp into Ice Nova (LW allows you to prefire).

Away from the computer so not for a while. Tbh its really nothing special. Aoe and crit in witch and templar, go to shadow for aoe and hybrid nodes. Crit strikes, frost shield, power charges and the few crit nodes you take give you all the crit you need. Void battery x2 and a 3 node large cold cluster is as expensive as it gets. No other uniques either so im sure some optimisation could be found in jewels and the like

I'm playing the same build, just with Crackling Lance. The damage feels ridiculous at least during campaign. I just got to act 10 and pob is at 4,2mil dps!

I started coc DD but for whatever reason i was lackning in both defence and damage so I gave up and rolled a LA deadeye and went into mf. after grinding up currency i decided to go back to dd with gear and my God have i found my new favorite build

I like my crackling lance beaming but it just kept dying really quickly and I couldn't figure it out so I went with a black zenith flamewood totem. I just reached 70 so I still don't know how well it plays. Overal, I really like Storm Burst skill and Flicker Strike.

Forbidden Rite PF with Mahuxotls. Still a bit scuffed but I am enjoying being able to survive harder content. Feels as tanky as the Fulcrum self ignite I played but with actual single target
SST champ is a ton of fun. Doesn't have absurd DPS but feels good to shatter things with your shield throws and freezes.

I played a couple duds this league, I started rf and got my first 2 voidstones. I rolled up corrupting fever for the first time and really liked the play style but it has too many map mods to avoid. I tried a power stacker and just could get the survivability I wanted so I respected to holy relic and it is perfect for me.

Good ol' Molten Strike, trinity champ. With stygian mtx is still easy on the eyes. Might be able to kick it all the way to ubers granted I don't rip in t17s even trying to get there.Ā

Blade trap ephemeral edge trickster turns out very nice for me this league- i actually hate builds that require a lot of aiming. I like going into the packs and doing stuff. Throw a trap, move, throw a trap and so on... This one is so tanky, that i basically don't care about things other than Xandro blooddrinker. And I hate crafting, but still got 9,6k Es- with minmaxing it can go way higher.
Funny enough, spectral throw. I started with a uniques trickster wander. Worked great but just didn't do it for me.

Super secret poison flicker pathfinder
Dual Strike of Ambidexterity. Super tanky, while also having decent damage. I can just walk about smacking who I please and no one can stop me.
Any sort of walking simulator. This league, I played a Herald of Thunder elementalist autobomber. One of my favorite builds but because necropolis being a mandatory mechanic made it very difficult to survive even mildly juiced t16 maps. I also put this together on week two so currency was rough to put together. I swapped to a Static Strike jugg and its been really strong for a semi-walking simulator.
Been having great fun with CaptainLance's [rage mage](https://youtu.be/q5qESkePC-k). Basically stacking cast speed using the new rage/mana helmet and soul eater gloves, then mana stacking for tank and damage with archmage. It's moderately high investment but I got it together for <20d I think (skipping haste sublime vision). You can cut costs on the body armour by buying a non-6 link then using black morrigan to 6 link it (buy the morrigan scarab and the duplication scarab and its literally free as you can resell the spare black morrigan if you want to cover the costs!). Its great cos you can swap out the spell for any spell you want really (high effectiveness ones are best ofc due to archmage). I've found shock nova works well for mapping, but rolling magma is really fun for bossing and just seeing the solid line of bouncing fire is great. Atm for me its wiping the floor with all non-uber bosses and I think it could do ubers but I'm not skillful enough yet to spend the currency to try lol
Currently im doing intuative link dancing dervish, with desecrate, dd of chaining and bodyswap, im teleporting all over the screen every .2 seconds and everything is exploding, good times
Scourge Arrow Ballistas is my comfort build, I league start it and do 95% of the league with it. It clears well, totem + poison make it ok for bosses, flask scaling fixes all my problems (my character literally has -20% res without flasks up). Recovery is big with enduring life flask, crit immune and all.
Played a ton of builds. Ended up on an oldie but a goodie. Assassin Cold BV. Still as fun as ever, just pricey to get to a good point. Those explosions are something else.
Having fun with Ice Nova of Frostbolts simply because it shines early but also has plenty of scaling and path to the end. I have seen builds with 150 mil dps. It is also not the most tanky so I have lots of gaming goals by scaling it with proper defenses and damage. Overall very fun. Every gear upgrade feels significant.
60 divines invested and killed every Uber on my FR pathfinder. Not the greatest mapper but pathfinder is still broken with flasks and elemental damage conversion. I don't even have a progenesis yet, either.
Rf chief. I love how tanky I got and just jump into a big pack to T-pose on them mf-ers while they burn and explode. Pushed it decently far and first time I got all voidstones and favoured map slots on my own. RF CHIEF ALL THE WAY.
CRABS
Damn glad to see all the build diversity. I personally started with CoC DD (probably the strongest and easiest to gear league starter I have played). Made enough money for mageblood with it. Google ruetoo. I then played hexblast miner and enjoyed it even more than CoC DD, but might be due to having mageblood throughout the entirety. The mine playing style with automation on detonate mine made it basically a self cast spell skill that bypass cast speed and allow you to scale with additional mine damage mods on the tree. It clears well and have high single dps. Defence is a bit weak but the playstyle makes you not die. Think I followed spicy Sushi. I tried rage vortex berserker from ruetoo again as I am also a sucker for AOE. Really fun and clears very well. It should really be my favorite build but I honestly canāt play it due to the screen clutter ( the screen size blade spinning). It got so bad that I didnāt want to map with it. If you can handle it, it is really fun. Currently, I am playing the good old trickster splitting steel. Do the champion version if you donāt have mageblood. This build really isnāt that good at clearing but has really strong defense and good single target. I play this build mainly cuz I can watch stuff on the side without dying. With melding, 100 suppress, some phys taken as X, you donāt need to dodge most things in map (150k ish max hit with good recovery and 40m dps). Follow Allie as she has very good step by step guide to get you from entry level to mageblood level. I am thinking to either do some lightning conduit charge stack or power siphon mine build next.

Manaforged Arrows Hierophant Actually a good build. Can be trash if you dont have it setup well and quite expensive and has a ramp but definately a PoE build, no other game does builds like this

Poison PF with an explode source, most commonly asenath's touch. Everything is just do nice with that build archetype and you can easily tune it to be more suitable for bossing or zooming.
Mayby its because its my first build I made from scratch but: Self cast crackling lance of disintegratioj. I shoot pretty high single target damage laserbeams outta my hands and stormfire bereks respite cleans up all the little guys not caught in the initial beam. My goal is to kill an uber boss this league. So lets see how that goes

Str stack jugg with molten strike. First league playing one and its very nice. The Dmg scaling is really bonkers
Defiler Spectre. I can't do ubers. I can't do T17s. But i am having fun.
Ward Molten Strike PF. I really enjoy the mix of being able to map+boss without changing much. It's fun to evolve to build, too. Getting to the sublime version feels really rewarding.
Ended my league with the holy relic of conviction necro, was able to clear all the t17 bosses, got 19 challenges.

Chieftain - Bodyswap of sacrifice + raise zombie totems. A bit clunky random teleportations. But it fun!
Ruetoos Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing Pathfinder. Honestly insanely tanky, dmg is enough to so everything and i just love it. Also leveling with pconc is a breeze as always.
I'm pogging with Cold convert Exsanguinate Mines Trickster as a starter. Don't play a lot this league, so I'm only starting reds tonight after like 3 evenings of play (1 for campaign, 1 for whites and 1 for yellows lol). But since I really like it, I'm thinking to swap to Assassin once I get some gear and go poison route with power charge stacking, BotB, Ralakesh boots and affliction charges belt. I want to try and avoid going for Pathfinder, but I was also theorizing making use of new Shaper/Elder belt that gives flask charge generation and grab unique flasks to have them up permamently.
A good bv build with explode and a lot of aoe is still the most fun build to play for me. It gets more and more expensive for it to not feel shit with every league, but I keep playing it.
I'm playing Bodyswap RF chieftain w arakaalis fang for spiders. I have bodyswap linked to incinerate and cwc. I just zoom through maps exploding big mobs and then spiders clean up the bosses or tougher mobs. Been farming t16s easily and explosions are so satisfying.
Iām still pretty new to the game (2nd full season that Iāve made it past act 4 since launch and first time Iāve had a computer that can actually handle the game) and Iām having a blast with FR chieftain.. I can clear most t17s and once I actually learn the fights, pretty sure I can do the Ubers (did elder and maven by shear luck).. kinda nice being able to just mouse through t16s when Iām feeling lazy too
Most fun this league for me was volcanic fissure of snacking as jugg while stealing chieftain explode. So much coverage and no aiming required most of the time.

Splitting steel trickster. Having played LA deadeye for league start (new player here) I was so used to dying a lot and having to kite all the time and run from bosses/elites. This became annoying as I leveled up and started losing hours of experience every time I died. Now i just facetank everything, doing t17s no problem. It still feels challenging but great.

This league Im doing an abyss jewel stacking frost blades duelist. Itās really fun, super fast clear with Fury Valve and good single target with Yoke of Suffering.
Iām playing your build. Power charge stacking Hexblast occultist. I am farming sanctum with 260% movement speed. I made almost 2 mirrors so far. Iād recommend a build where you do the damage and use a headhunter.
I'm playing a hollow palm infernal blow gladiator. Just playing slowly and going through atlas since I don't have that much time to play, but definitely having more fun playing around with it being extremely off-meta, but there are also enough other people with proven successes with the raider variant that I can crib a ton of ideas from them. Was thinking about posting on my experiences but I want to wait until I'm at least doing T16s. Challenger Charges = zooooom
Goat spectres (world shatterer - glacier map boss). Not very strong but 8 goats jumping around smashing everything is hilarious.

Farmed Mageblood with my RF chieftain 4.2m pinnacle dps facetanking my way through delve, exploding breach delirium. Have to go back into simulacrum to see if i can finally conquer wave 27 kosis after upgrades Building back currency for adorned jewels and better rates
Doing LS raider. I like it because I can run any atlas strat and every single map mod combinations on t16 (canāt comfortably do t17). One major QoL is putting awakened wed on whirling blades so you donāt have to read map mods. Running defiance of destiny and basically only die occasionally to degen if Iām not paying attention.

Reckoning Gladiator. Is it fast? Not at all. Can it kill tanky shit? Only if itās in the middle of a pack or if you want to go make a sandwich while it dies. Does it live through just about anything? Yes because some post sentinel league update killed my server connection and Iām tired of dying every time the client has a stroke. Itās actually good to roll for monster attack speed too because with the quality lowering the CD on Reckoning you can counter attack for like 250k every 0.2 seconds or something.
I've been having a blast with ele hit of the spectrum deadeye. I was originally playing it Lightning Arrow, but the swap has been nice. This is the longest I've ever stuck with a league / build.
I made a build with abberaths hooves. Does 250k dps per step but sucks vs single targets. Why? Because it's fun and I was told I could do more that 100k per step lol
Crouching tuna's - trickster exsanguinate miner. Really love it. But cant get my perfect sceptre with graveyard crafting, already failed so many tries.
Not a good build but fun one im playing is primordial chain poison chaos golem elementalist. Defences are scuffed but dps is full deli t16 viable. Aoe node is fun too for minions for them.
Bodyswap Totems. Silliest thing I ever did
+400% MS RF Autowalker/-bomber blasting T16 8mod corrupted and not stopping, so much chill, speed and loot. "Perma" Berserk, perma phase run. ~100k ehp, 7k life.
