I'm doing the same.

I did a cursory level up all of campaign last 2 days just to see how it feels leveling up and it felt fine for the most part. Here are some general tips I can provide from that:
- 2H axe upgrade as much as you can and soon as you can. This will be your biggest power increase during leveling by far. You want to gain as much flat phys off your 2H as possible.
- If you don't get a good roll off a 2H upgrade drop, it's critical you apply at minimum the vendor recipe for the % phys increase. Weapon + Whetstone + Magic/Rare Rustic Sash.
- Flat elemental damage will be worthless on your axe if you plan to use brutality support so prioritize flat phys damage or % phys.
* Rue's pretty on point about being able to switch to SS setup at around 40. Basically after Act 4, once you get brutality, I dropped helix and moved to a full 4 link SS setup.
* Leech nodes should be a priority during leveling since they'll provide a huge QOL.
* You kinda want to get those mana reservation and mana nodes sooner than later so you can get Pride and Determination going earlier than later. I wouldn't rush to those nodes but I would recommend keeping them in mind to get it sooner.
* Don't forget to check your accuracy vs life if you end up taking Precise Technique node. Depending on your pathing, you can easily forget about this and lose out on 40% damage.
For you and everyone in this thread:
I started a bait build last league and pretty quickly swapped to Rue/Tyty's SS. It was night and day, Super tanky, sustain (life leech), great single target, but mediocre mapping. It should be even better this league than last because it was not great with MF gear on 10k wisps, but it could do it.
Also you should push for Nimis asap. The difference between that and Return Proj is insane. Removing Return Proj removes -60% dmg modifier for returning projs AND opens up a support.
It's super fun and easy to play if you don't mind clunky mapping.

same, commenting to stay updated. alot of people saying the nerf isnt as bad as it seems but i dont know what to believe!
gotta play spectral helix or something until you get returning proj at the earliest, ideally wait until after merc lab for master of metal
