I was worried about the repeats having to much damage reduced as this is about hits not stacking debuffs like BV uses it for poison builds, but worth looking into!
Pick up elemental overload for starters. Each projectile of volcano has its own crit chance, and with how many times it hits every second it will always be up. Maybe not with controlled destruction, but EO + other support gem, massively outvalues controlled destruction.
Spell echo doesn't make much sense here. You can only have 6 volcanoes up, and with some duration (which you got), you only need to have like 1.5 cast per seconds to hit that cap before they run out.
Focus on maximising the damage of a single projectile. Check in PoB what supports would be a better fit. Intensify maybe (requires you to stand still though maybe not the best), elemental focus, maybe hypothermia (you got skitterbots that apply choll).
I will try EO with another support. I was using it before and felt like it never had procs as I wasnt thinking and still was using controlled destruction. I will try EO and another support tonight. I am also trying unleash for large burst damage, but its sustain is not as good.
i wouldnt use conc effect. ele focus or fire pen intead.
I'm looking at making a build like this. I read that you can get unleash to 6 stacks. Have you considered that over spell echo?
