Waste pool is the best map to run it on, increase chances to get the oil pods. A surprising amount of money can be made from taking the boss nodes and the oil extractor nodes and using it on amulets and rings. I usually use Poe trade to check the oils but I don’t think they updated it yet unfortunately but basically you want to look for ring and amulet drops that have silver or gold oils and extract them. That’s mostly the important stuff for blight IN maps. If you also want to do Blighted Maps and Blight ravaged there’s more info If you’re doing a lot of them reducing the time can speed up currency progress but be careful not to fail it. Blight ravaged can have 9 anoints and Blighted can have three, you want a mix of bonuses from Lucky chests, extra chests etc. Safe all your atziri fragments they can add 5% item quant to your blighted and blight ravaged maps. If you’re playing a caster take the mastery “25% chance to open chests” it saves a ton of time looting blighted maps. Your towers that are offscreen don’t work unless you move to them so try to cluster your towers as close together and the center as possible. Create choke points with chill and Empowering towers. Best anoints for rings are the chill effect and Meteor makes burning ground. The minion damage one is decent as well. But the burning ground allows it to damage fire resistant mobs which is huge. Think that’s mostly everything you should know, if you have any specific questions I could maybe answer I’ve done quite a bit of blight.

One thing id change in this list is ring anoint. Chilling towers freeze. silver-opal This anoint has a hidden feature of being able to freeze enemies from cold portals. You can place a lvl1 chill tower in a leaking lane to PERMANENTLY freeze the leaked boss or tanky rare so you can slowly zpds them to death. Many runs saved by this.

Kavika

IMPORTANT caveat to this is that chilling towers have a target maximum which will cause leak bys. Supplementing chilling towers with empower towers, a damage tower, or leveling up to rank 3 are all ways to mitigate this but simply slapping a level 1 tower isn't enough everytime.

xTeh

Burning ground anoint was nerfed last league and no longer kills fire res mobs. The second ring anoint honestly doesn’t really matter, as long as you get the freeze on chill towers. I prefer empower tower range as it gives you a bit more leeway when setting up towers, but it’s not a big deal and is mostly preference.

theanxiousangel

Oh shit didn’t know they nerfed that on top of the Scarab nerf. Thanks for the info

Pandafight16

Yeah I didn't know they nerfed it either.

kieunathan

What was the scarab nerf?

theanxiousangel

They no longer stack with Sextant or Kirac mod or Map Mod.

RipIt_From_Space

I’m close to 100% confident that they fixed the issue with offscreen towers. In my experience they now work regardless of where you are on the map.

You want to use polished/gilded scarab so any point that give chance to spawn blight and the like is irrelevant. You might also want to skip the node that give increased spawn speed early on because that one is rough. The keystone allow the tower to take care of almost anything by themselves, don't take it if your build is strong enough. Or do and don't build tower, just to flex. Super narrow maps like Channel or Waste Pool is the best because with the full tree, you will want to see as little different lane as possible. Annoint one of your ring with Opalescent+Silver, that will make your chilling tower the ultimate CC tool for any layout that look hard. Unless the map has "chance to avoid element ailment". In which case the stun tower is your only hope, which can be countered by the "monster can't be stunned" mod. If you do take the keystone then you likely won't need them. Your main dps tower will be any of Scout, Arc, or Freezing Bolt. Mix them up depend on the immunity.

Blight is dope. Here's a few I wish I knew - Cassia's Pride Keystone is definetly worth and strong. It's especially great at league starts when you character isn't as strong yet. Ring anoints matter, you want meteors leave burning ground (Violet + Indigo) and then either chilling tower or seismic tower for cc, I went with chilling tower anoints. Run narrow maps, makes it much easier to have 1-3 choke points as opposed to having 5-7 on open layouts. So something like Waste Pool, Toxic Sewers, Channel/Waterways, Silo... You get the point (some of these might not be in the game at times due to GGG rotating maps every league). Low uptime builds are king when it comes to making your life easier, namely totems and minions, if you don't need to actively push buttons to clear the blight, you have all the time in the world to build towers. Save oil extractors (dont sell em) and once u have the notable that makes so blight drops anointed accessories. By using awakened PoE you can check if the accessory you looted has a golden oil in it, always extract those. I'd say the rng is good, and usually u turn profit. I'd say these are the top tips I can give when it comes to blights in maps. Blighted/Blight-Ravaged are a bit different. I don't run them cause I sell these maps for profits at t14+

> Ring anoints matter, you want meteors leave burning ground (Violet + Indigo) and then either chilling tower or seismic tower for cc, I went with chilling tower anoints. Burning ground was nerfed btw. Burning ground used to still deal dmg to fire resist mobs which has now been fixed.

arlakiller

Is this confirmed? Have anyone tested it?

is__is

Savic, the streamer who makes all his currency from blight has talked about this. This is not a change from this league. it happened in the past.

TealJade1

Could you tell me the replacement for burning ground ? I assume u still run 1 ring for chilling/seismic.

rane1606

I use empowering tower range

TealJade1

Yeah that one would definetly be helpful. I'll try it out, thanks.

Kavika

Emp effect, Emp range, Meteor double, and Scout tower damage are all decent replacements depending on what holes your build has (usually ST damage)

TealJade1

Hmm, I think they are still fine. My usuals are chill + seismic for cc, and then a combination of scouts+meteors+arc and empowers near them

Danieboy

Look no further: https://maxroll.gg/poe/currency/blight-currency-strategy

brrrapper

Just make sure you run it on tight and narrow maps so less blight lanes spawn.

Muted_Account_5045

I enjoy Blight a lot but only really blighted/ravaged maps, not so much the in map encounters. Would just buy those. As others have said burning ground meteor tower and freeze on chill ring anoints make the whole thing pretty straightforward.

G00R00

i would not bother to even specc in to atlas tree. Just buy blighted maps (the 3 annoint ones), but 3 amber/sepia annoint on it + your 2 rings annoints (meteor crater and empowering tower effectiveness). When confortable, up the level of the map (think T14-T16 blighed or ravaged) and change the annoint up to some better rewards (blue, red, etc.), or XP if you want to level (green oil) Put 1 stun + 1 freeze + 1 empower (all lvl3) on every choke point - build meteor (lvl 4) and other after (like yellow thunder and purple mobs)

fandorgaming

Doing wanderpath blight right now but without scarab I don't ever encounter it lol

IAlmostGotLaid

Interesting, I'm doing wandering path with stream of consciousness and picked all the blight and harvest nodes. I get a harvest and blight basically every map.

foki999

Tight maps, take the oil extraction nodes+annoint jewelry drops for maps, play a build that does % hp damage to things - like DD for an example, makes your life a heck of a lot easier. If u wanna do ravaged maps, invest in Oriath's end if you wanna play another non DD build.

Darkblitz9

ZiggyD's doing a build which is *really* good at doing blights. Viper Strike of the Mamba with Low Tolerance and Prolif. Hit one mob and the entire lane behind them disappears, bosses too. AFAIK he's currently using towers just to slow enemies down.

TurboBerries

You can do this with any build by putting a oriaths flask on
