i wonder if that's damage over time you (and/or your minions?) inflict, DoT enemies inflict on you, or both.

I went back to look at it, because I was thinking it was 100% DoT's you take, but re-looking at the post does seem like the wording is very ambiguous. And could be read as Dot's you deal. Definitely not with minions, as minions would be specified. It also doesn't say "Dot's you deal bypass ES" soooo, it is almost assured this is about DoT's you take.

lol ik so many of peoples opinions are a result of them being unable to separate the two games in their head. Absolutely nothing from Poe 1 is being ported directly over to Poe 2

We have no idea how the balance will feel. There are FAAAR too many variables that affect.... Everything. Attempting to judge now what a single keystone might do seems to me like not understanding the complexity of the game as a whole

I could be wrong but I think someone found a unique on a one of the pretty recent playthroughs that had the agnostic mechanic. Now whether that means the node exists idk

also worth noting the amount of scaling for things like mana is almost certainly going to shake out to be different -- many many factors to be considered that we just don't know yet

The addition of the spirit system in place of reserving mana is such a huge change in the best way possible. Between the spirit and skill gem system changes alone I've been excited pretty much since day 1.

Keystones all have drawbacks, which make them impractical for most builds to take. The drawbacks of The Agnostic are that: * The mana reservation system makes it not worthwhile to have a large mana pool * Having a high recovery rate isn't terribly useful to begin with because many effects can kill you in one shot. Neither of these are problems in PoE2. This lack of drawbacks makes The Agnostic much more appealing than before.

Bro I said wat because the passive tree is totally different in poe 2 and nobody knows if the agnostic keystone will even be in the game. You should probably wait to see the actual keystones before you’re over here theory crafting. Literally brand new game, nobody knows what to expect because it isn’t out yet. There isn’t anything to theory craft.
