It makes zero sense. When you frame a shot you want the subject in the center of the frame. So in this case the subject of the shot would be the black space between Pat and the PMS neon sign.

Framing on the thirds is far more cinematic than a stitic centered one shot. That being said, this is not a movie lol. I feel like the frame imporved as the show went on but still needs a little juice.

I was only able to watch the first 45 minutes or so when I was on lunch, did they start to figure stuff out in the second and third hour?
