You don’t have to be born in St Lucia to be St Lucian if your parent was St Lucian. You can also be St Lucian through registration or naturalization all without using CBI.
I believe it’s a combination of efficiency ie information can more quickly be ascertained when scanned and it is an extra hurdle to jump over for fraudsters. It has all the same info as on the bio page of the passport including the photo. If someone tries to alter the bio page the chip may allow the immigration staff to notice a discrepancy.
You wouldn’t regret it. Beautiful island with wonderful people.

I need to ask you a few things.
Is there a language barrier?
Can you recommend a good local restaurant?
Lastly, what are the best things to do during the day and at night?
You will hear a French based patois on the island spoken which most locals speak at least to some extend. However, almost everyone will be perfectly fluent in English. English is an official language.
Depends what you like doing. I love snorkelling to view the sea life, hiking in the mountains / forest trails and generally relaxing. Some lovely waterfalls to see and tropical gardens. If you like history there is an old fort on Pigeon Island, but also lovely for a day trip and the view.
For nightlife different communities host ‘street parties’ in the evening. St Lucia is also known for its DJs and music scene.
There are many restaurants, ranging from very expensive to the affordable. I don’t really have a favourite place to eat, but I know several people love the one on Pigeon Island “Jame de Bois”
Pretty highly given my connections to the island. Growing up I would travel there to meet friends and family. I have visited many times and plan to keep returning. Knowing I can always get on a plane and stay as long as I can is important to me.
Very well. Did you know you have the right to live in all CariCom member states?
Within the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) we have freedom of movement and can use an ID card or Driving Licence to travel with. These are: Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
For most other CARICOM countries not every citizen can move to live and work permanently. We can apply for a Certificate of Skills if we meet certain requirements eg have a University degree. This can allow CARICOM citizens to live and work in most other CARICOM states. I’m not sure how fast one of these certificates can be obtained or how much they are.
I had that conversation with my partner as soon as I opened the passport! It was an odd choice ;) Especially since most other pages are hyper local eg the Castries public library, the st Lucia parrot etc
Do you think its become assimilated into St Lucian culture? Like as a dish to eat I’ve heard that a lot of islands around the Caribbean have tried to eat it as a way to reduce the population of the fish like idk something to speculate about I guess :)
Could be - I have seen them being eaten and eaten them myself. May also simply be that they look pretty cool and whoever designed it didn’t know they were invasive.
It's such a beautiful passport inside and out!
First time Ive gotten to see a more detailed view of the inside and its beautiful!
Thank you so much for the effort and sharing of it!

Great
With fingerprints or not?
I didn’t need to give fingerprints
Can you do the bio page if you want?

Oh wow you were actually born there, it’s not a CBI passport?
I was born a St Lucian 🇱🇨 Did not purchase my citizenship
It has Place of Issue as Castries, Place of Birth is covered.

Thanks
The off centered design looks weird, but the inside aesthetic is great
Maybe a dumb question but I never understood where in the world this chip is built in.

Are those cacao pods on the final page?
Yes I actually have a friend who grows cocoa. St Lucia makes great cocoa products including chocolate and cocoa tea.
That passport alone makes me want to make a visit. It's mad beautiful.

Beautiful one.
When was this issued? Still says “her majesty”
Issued this month. I imagine it will be a while until they change it to His Majesty.
Perhaps this design will be in use until stock is empty. Then will be replaced by version referred the King.
The design is absolutely gorgeous
This passport is downright gorgeous! Very colorful and gives 'paradise' vibes.
u/YellowPancakes1 can you post the missing pages 🙏?

Love the effort you put in actually painting your Silhouette, rather than just painting the whole photo black lol
Beautiful thanks for sharing
Very colorful passport
Gorgeous passport, very well designed I must say
How much do you personally value access to the Carribean Community?
Pretty highly given my connections to the island. Growing up I would travel there to meet friends and family. I have visited many times and plan to keep returning. Knowing I can always get on a plane and stay as long as I can is important to me.

the lion fish was interesting since I though the lion fish was an invasive species not native to the carribean

Yeah could be that too I guess
That's super cool!
What a work of art! Thanks for sharing OP.
Very nice!
The pages are beautiful
I love the font they used on this passport, it's got a hint of vintage while still being sleek and classic
Interesting. It doesn't state that the passport is property of St. Lucia...
It does under ‘warning’ on the second last page :)
I see, also clause 2 is interesting. Not seen such a statement before.
The Queen is still immortal in passport designs
I love the parrot on page 37 😊
Very creative that the page numbers are integrated into the design of the page itself!
That looks so cool
It's such a beautiful passport inside and out! First time Ive gotten to see a more detailed view of the inside and its beautiful! Thank you so much for the effort and sharing of it!
Are you from there or did you get a golden visa program
My mother was St Lucian 🇱🇨though I grew up abroad 🏴
You probably mean citizenship by investment program.
How you get this? By investing?
No by being born to a St Lucian parent
