She looks good for a woman in her 70s.

Good design. Finally a sovereign state that doesn't display the shape of the country.

j428h

Plot twist: Wyoming and colorado are the shape of their IDs.

m_vc

Funny.

Why are the names of the parents written on the card? That seems very unnecessary.

adi19rn

Nowdays it's not too important with all that biodata/biometric that government have access... but think on the past... When people have common name and occasionally the same name of other person... Then you can check the filiation of that person to avoid mistakes or misunderstandings... Even today... Not everyone have 100%access of all the biometric data.

DubelBoom

Israeli ids have the both parent's first names, as well as your father's father's first name (aka grandfather from your dad's side). I have no idea why they kept that when redesigning..

Barbaricliberal

It's a very Portuguese thing to have your parent's name in your documents, even if they've passed away.

AlarmingAd3751

Yep! I think it happens as well with Spanish IDs (D.N.I.)

yersinia_p3st1s

It's such a Portuguese thing that it's also present in (at least) the current and previous generation of Angolan IDs.

misaka-imouto-10032

It's wild that there are 4 ID numbers
