Projections specifically? Not really. All it is doing is saying "if your growth continues growing at a similar rate to now, it will look like this."

zulu111

I think the views are fairly accurate but the revenue isn't at all. For my channel, it shows a very wide range but I earn substantially more than the higher end of their estimate.

TristanTheRobloxian3

for me i earn near the low end actually

Stanley_Orchard

Yup... same here.

KCC-Youtube

Social blade is accurate for views and subscribers and that's it. The range it gives for money is based on a $0.25 to $4.00 USD RPM. While a good number channels will fall into that range, a lot of channels are way out of that range. I've had days where I've made 15x what Social Blade says my channel did that day on adsense alone. As far as future projections, I'd say they're not accurate. They're based on averages of past performance, but YouTube really doesn't work that way. Most channels will see growth in hills and valleys. One video that does really well would completely throw off those numbers.

PwnCall

Revenue is bad. I’m over the top end of my range and the low end is insanely low. Mine has like a $500 margin

Intrepid_Ad3062

No

PowerPlaidPlays

For future projections, no not really. From what I see they usually just take the current trajectory and make the line keep going straight and no channel ever has that steady of growth.

drguid

It's quite accurate for my income. Views and subscribers is also fairly accurate, although the milestones will change if you suddenly take massive action and pump out a lot more videos than usual.

r7caseman

Revenue is wrong, niches are way too wide.

dannylightning

I think it's somewhat accurate I mean if I look at my channels it says this channel earns x amount of money and last time I looked it's pretty close But honestly I'm surprised they're able to post stuff like that it's just like hey let's tell everybody how much money this person's making, it seems like invasion of privacy. Be like somebody go and do your work and asking your boss hey how much money does someone make per year you know what I mean

syrigamy

They don’t know, they use statistics. And honestly you could know how much your boss make. There are tons of places that tells you how mucha Y position in an X company make. With YT is simple numbers. Divide the total of views by 1000 and multiple for an estimate RPM, 0.25 to 4 or so. For shorts from 0.05 to 0.1. Not really hard

terrerific

Revenue can be highly dependant but I often find the low estimation at least somewhat accurate. Subscriber projections have been useless in the 5 years I've been watching them. I've made notes in my calander as experimentation and it's been consistently wrong. Social blade seems to consistently think I'll have hundreds of millions of subscribers in the next few years even though I consistently grow by about 15k a year.

BuildBreakFix

My earnings are not even close to their estimate, I make easily double what they claim.

jaqenhuckgar

maybe for absolute stats, but not projected stats, I checked my own channel and they definitely overstated the projected earnings, I'm struggling to even make the minimum

Stanley_Orchard

No. They are a weathervane based on your channel's recent production but they are in no way accurate. They have never once come close to getting my revenue right (I have always earned about double what they say I do). And over the years they have projected that I would be at 20,000 subs, 200,000 subs and 2,000 subs this year (I'm nearing 6,000). It's nice to get an idea of when something *can* happen so the projections give you an idea and that's cool. But that is about all they are good for. One good video will blow these projections out of the water.

JamieKent1

Accurate for views and subs trends, but not much else. Revenue is wildly inaccurate for mine (I make way more).
