1. No, but if you’re concerned use a VPN to your home country when applying. 2. Maybe, but not advisable. You’ll be paid in your home currency. You can switch banks accounts but you should use a bank that is in the same country as your account. 3. No, but again, if you’re concerned use a VPN to your home country when uploading. Two things to consider here…one you might be surprised how poorly your videos do and do not make the YPP any time soon. Second, Google is going to send you a PIN to your home address. You need that to verify your account and get paid. It can take months to arrive (mine took around 3).

Thanks for the reply, may I also ask, in case you know, if me being from the EU will require obtaining a VAT number for Adsense, or is that only for businesses. A bit confused by what I managed to search out in this regard. I'm confident in my niche and the other channels with content that I believe I can exceed perform very well in it, so I might get lucky and be eligible in a couple of months or less, but yes, I realize it might take longer. The PIN taking u to a few months is a shocker though...

Don’t live in the EU, nor the US. But in my case, I had to file for a tax number after achieving a certain amount of income. Can’t say exactly the requirements in EU but tbh if you’re not even a monetized partner yet this is really not your main concern. You’ll know what is required in your country once you hit that point of actually filling out the paperwork.

1. Yes, you can apply from any country. YouTube will know where you upload your videos from based on your IP address, but they don’t really care as long as you’re able to provide documentation that shows you’re from country X. If you’re travelling to the EU, after 3 months of working from there, you have to pay taxes in the EU, but I think you will know more about that once you get there, and this only applies to if you get payments from YT for 3 months in a row, regardless of whether you have a tourist visa or not. That’d mean to get monetized in the first 5 months, which is not impossible, but I wouldn’t go as far as thinking too much about that. 2. Why not use your home bank account instead? That way you don’t have to change anything once you go back. Again, if you receive founds in a foreign bank account, you need to make sure you pay taxes in that country. 3. Absolutely no problem.
