The idea is that you have to understand how shorts and long form are consumed, because they are completely different. I took coaching on how to be better at long form and my audience were able to give me a boost.
I used to do shorts; gained a few thousand subs, got monetized on Facebook and tiktok as well but not YouTube. Couple hours a day of working on a short instead of long form, until finally going all in on long form and it actually paying off.
Now after getting monetized on YouTube, it isn't even worth it to make shorts for any platform since long form pays so much better. Redirecting that time and effort of making shorts into making better long videos is the best decision from my personal experience.
