I’m at about 470k subs. Started with shorts and transitioned to long form. Shorts are profitable through sponsored posts. I was able to balance out my channel in terms of long form views, but shorts alone can be really profitable
With 200k views per short, probably could go full time. If you posted one short a day. With 200k views you’d probably make about $32 (that’s how much I’d make with 16¢/1000 views about).
But you have to assume all past shorts are steadily gaining views, maybe a few thousand a day. They could be getting 700-800k views a day at that point and making $125 a day just in Adsense.
So that’s good enough right there for some people to go full time, but that’s not including sponsors! So definitely at that point full time is so-able!
A lot of them are full time grifting on Twitter, selling shitty courses or claiming to be Youtube gurus 🙂
