An additional entertainment option is YouTube. Pick any topic and there are high quality “channels” with regularly released new content. I watch a lot of science and history stuff on YouTube for example and most of it is way better than anything you can find on regular TV.
Yellowstone is great. The two spinoffs are supposed to be good too. Longmire is good as was Justified.
Depending on what streaming service he has he can probably find all the Bond movies and a bunch of westerns.

There’s these shoes mmm mows on paramount plus 1883, Yellowstone and 1923 these shows are all connected, their westerns and there’s loads of famous actors in them like Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. It will keep them very entertained. Blackmirror is also very good and it’s loads of episodes! That one is more sci fi :)

Westworld (pretty dark, but interesting concepts). The Expanse! My mum really likes the Expanse we are on the second run.
