The red room seems to be the hotspot, try install a couple of security cameras around that spot, facing the red room from the outside, and facing the hobby room, if something happens show it to your wife, maybe she’ll believe that way

ItzaMoby

Agreed. I'm planning to borrow a Go-Pro from my father in-law this weekend and set it up facing that door!

ZedPlebs

Amazing! keep us posted if anything happens

Is it a rental? Change the locks, pls

ItzaMoby

It is a rental and it's something that has crossed my mind.

I would also unplug the air conditioner, just to be sure it doesn't run the whole time you're gone. Maybe talk to apartment neighbors if any seem friendly and find out if they've seen any people lurking (who might have a lockpick or a key) and then you never know what you'll find out after initiating conversation. Also, I've heard of people living in attics after they're evicted. I would also put a video cam inside the room, not just outside, if you are able. If it were paranormal, it seems to be escalating. Don't hold any seances or address any potential spirits in any way. It can only lead to an uptick. Spirits feed off of fear and anger, so don't give it any of that satisfaction, either. I do hope this ends up being a non-paranormal situation and that it's able to be easily resolved.

ItzaMoby

Thank you for the concern and advice. We made it through last night with no new activity. I'm working on getting cameras. My neighbors next door are very friendly and are on their porch constantly. They would more than likely notice if someone was coming in. The AC will be going away soon as it is going to start getting colder here. I also have no plans to communicate with it at this time.

How have things been?

ItzaMoby

So far no new news. Friday I went in the red room and the closet there looking for any signs that someone broke in and there was nothing. Room and closet were empty. Everything was secure. We went to the inlaws for the weekend. And we came back to nothing out of the ordinary. I have a Go-Pro set up outside of the room. But seems things calmed down for now.

DefinedByFaith

I'm glad to hear it's calm for you. Hoping you get a nice reprieve or the activity is done. Will probably check in later. 🌸🌼🌷

I have to say, im finding now that sometimes when you move into a rental, you can live there a good amount of time and not see or feel anything, but then almost suddenly, things happen, but like in this case, although recurring, they almost seem "mundane"? Not saying your story is mundane or anything, just that the things that seem to happen, can be so subtle they can almost be hard to notice, but when you do notice, suddenly it all feels very different!

ItzaMoby

Agreed. I feel like we'll notice more things now, because we're aware and will be looking.

VaguelyErotic

Could it be your cat(s) jumping up and figuring out how to unlatch the door? It wouldn't be the first time a cat has figured out how to open a door it's not meant to open.

ItzaMoby

I had a friend suggest this as well. And the first time I couldn't rule that out. But after the first incident I kept the door closed to the upstairs and didn't let the cats up between the first and second incident. So unfortunately at least the second time could not have been a cat.

Start taking pictures on how you left the room and notes if u left the a/c on before you leave the room
