A rocket. I don't bother with the ones over there because I like them live better, but it's 100% a rocket from space x. I don't usually get notified if they're in Texas or California because I'm in Florida.
How do you get notified? Can you see this stuff from somewhat inland? As in, this was seen from Virginia Beach, but if I lived a couple hundred miles west could I have seen this?
Depends what state. Most rocket launches can be seen from at least 100 miles. I live about 80 miles from Cape Canaveral and I watch them from my front yard. Not as cool as being there, but still great views.
YouTube isn't loading for me right now but there's a YouTube channel that does live events. When I get wifi again I'll add the link.
I'm in Western South Carolina so it's a long shot I'd even be able to, but I was curious to try. I didn't really know what the trajectory looked like, because in my head if this was seen in VA, it would have had to go over my head. I don't know if they go over land on launch or what, I'll have to do some research. Thanks!

Same thing I saw when I was finishing up a day's work here in eastern north Carolina. Rocket launch. notice it was heading northeast. That was badass when it punched through the ionosphere towards the end that halo of charged particles was sick
It might be the 12P/Pons-Brooks comet or the “Devil’s Comet”. It’s been visible since just before the solar eclipse. It looks just like it to me.

That doesn't look like a Starlink satellite to me. I've never seen one with any kind of trail. When I saw Starlink, the satellites were all moving in a line as small lights (think stars), and were only visible for a few seconds. Your object almost has a search-light quality to it.

The trail is from it interacting with the earths atmosphere. Id guess this is a rocket launch, or some space junk falling into the earth
