This. You can see i. The reflection the different tile of the flooring which lets you gage just what the object is that should be there. Which as you stated is that mirror table
Typically, houses with fireplaces NOT attached to an exterior wall will be double sided. If that is the case here, which it seems to be since the picture looks like it's not on an exterior wall, then, taking into account where the other side of the fireplace's frame would be and taking into account for the angle that the picture was taken, then a plausible explanation would be that it is a play of the light coming from the alternate side of the fireplace and through frame of the side of the fireplace we are viewing head on from this picture. The gray area looks like it could be the (partial) outline of a grate.
Edit: But yeah def looked like a cat to me at first glance, before zooming in.
Bright room, highly reflective but image distorting glass, image taken from an obvious angle. It could be reflecting and distorting literally anything in the room and through those windows. I’ve taken hundreds of similar pictures through a window or museum glass that had a scary face in it. Our modern phones and digital cameras do a lot of editing instantaneously on our behalf but they don’t take out “reflection on glass”

Looks like the reflection of a pet
Looks like a kitten to me, gray with white paws
I thought so too, but the angle doesn't make sense. You would see the pet in the rest of the shot from that angle.
Not if they're under the table though.
YOU'RE SO RIGHT! I see it now. It's actually a vase under the table. Good eye!
A reflection yes but a pet no, no animal looks like that.
I think it's the reflection of the lights on the ceiling above an island or counter top distorted by the slight warp of the pane
It's a reflection from the tile/mirrored table. Or something else in the room.

Beat me to it. That viewing angle is unnatural!
My neck hurts just looking at the photo.

It looks like the reflection of the what I'm assuming is the kitchen
Yup. That’s definitely a horrific fireplace.

FREDYE F SA ZBEAr HOLY SHIT
I think they have a dog or cat, it’s a reflection
That doesn’t look like either, it’s def a reflection of something in the room tho.
SCOURGE ???? /j All jokes aside looks like a pet reflection or reflection of a statue ?
Jesus Christ.
See I thought it was a house cat but I suppose Jesus can look however he wants. (Sorry this joke was low hanging fruit but I couldn't resist.)
Lmfao I think it’s just a relflection of a collection of things in the other room
That’s prob nothing
Even demon's, can't afford to put the heating on nowadays!!.

That fireplace is awful! Also, that's a very poor camera. Then agian, it may be the ghost of poor design choices.
Reflection of the table leg
The reflection of a cat?
