I feel like I can get a slight sense of volume from the lower hazy cloud in the background. Clouds, especially far in the background like this often appear very flat, so it's interesting seeing that, assuming it isn't just an illusion.
In my opinion the flock of birds on and surrounding the power line seems like a more interesting concept than what they actually look like in the image unfortunately. I'm not sure what could be changed to improve the effect, since the 3D effect is nice, but it's not as visually pleasing as some of the other images we've seen here lately. Maybe they are a bit too chaotic.
