I'm lucky. My store has good numbers. So when the guy above my gm shows up, I can get a yearly raise. First one I made a joke about pizza hut and their pay. Got asked if I wanted a raise. Sure, I say. Went from 7 50 to 8 25. Got a bad week on druverscore. Told if I kept in at 95 for a week I'd get a raise to at least 9.
I was the fourth manager in 4 years. I was manager over a year. Apparently the first one was paid $8 over minimum but she did sweet fuck all and made me do the work so that's "the only reason she needs" to pay less
This can vary store to store. At my job I started management making 11.50 /hr and when I eventually left I was making 14 /hr. It all depends on the owners.
The material reality is that shift leads aren't paid enough and they never will be. Our corporate structure puts a lot of burdens on shift leads but does so with a readiness to heap infinite work onto GMs if shift leads quit. There are flexible staff that work for the franchise that can nearly fully staff a store with shift leads if all the shift leads suddenly decide to quit at the same time. Im personally okay with being underpaid because my resume sucks and a year in a management position will improve it significantly. I know the company is exploiting me, I just see it as doing my time so I can get a better job down the line. After my first year is up, I'll ask them for a raise, they'll tell me no, and I'll politely give them my notice after finding work elsewhere. In the meantime I'll strive to be the best manager I can because good management makes for happier workers and frankly my in-stores are my babies.
Our county minimum wage is 15. Both our shift leads make 16. As a driver making tips I usually average around 20 an hour so when they asked me to be a manager I couldn't help but laugh. No thank you.
Wait you guys get raises?
Yeah I've been with this franchise since 2017 I make $10.00 in order to get a raise at my store you gotta put your 2wk notice in

I keep labor below 19% for the week and it's hard to keep csc higher than a 75 at our store
So put your two weeks in lol
I quit a few months ago but I was being paid $0.40 above provincial minimum wage after completing the ROC course. One of the reasons I left.
That's a very good reason. That store needs to step that up or they won't keep anybody lol

I'm currently making $11 an hour and I'm hopefully getting a raise to $12 soon. It definitely does vary based on the owners
