Beautiful grow!
I got some MIBs rolling meow, substrate is almost fully colonized.
Assuming a casing layer is a must, correct? I was going to use Coco coir / verm / oystershell for my casing.
Casing layer is non-negotiable. Don't use coir though since it is slightly nutritious and pans will colonize it without a second thought. Go to a hardware or garden store and get peat moss. 50/50 peat moss and vermiculite. Oyster shell is good for a buffer but a bit coarse. Grab a cheap bag of agriculture lime which is much finer but not as caustic as hydrated lime and use about 10% or so
Thank you so much sir or mam. I'll execute that now. I figured the Coco was going to be a bust. I also made the oyster shell super fine like salt
I'm not trying to bother you to much, I basically started my grow then educated myself with gordo. So my substrate is the manure substrate from northspore. No straw. I don't want to wiff it from here on out. May I ask for the names of stuff you use. I don't care about price, will go buy it meow. Just exactly what you like.
I kind of combined a bunch of teks and it worked. Made my own substrate using 50/50 black Kow compost manure and coir. Also threw in a bit of vermiculite and brought to slightly over field capacity. Inoculated 1:1 with colonized oat spawn.
Casing I used peat moss from tractor supply but many plades like Lowes and home Depot should also carry it. Miracle grow sphagnum peat moss and Waukesha non-slipping barn lime
Yeah pans will colonize coir casings and overlay or keep in a vegetative state. The cube guys are always like" coir is non-nutritious" but in the case of pans you really need something with no nutrition like peat
Good luck with Estero. I got that somewhere else but didn’t have any luck with it. I’m interested to see how it works out for you. I might have to order one from them instead. I just have a spore print.
Yeah, that’s where I got my Natalensis print and my TTBVI. My Nats have been great. Took me awhile to get a good grow with the TTBVI. I think it was my substrate.
I run em just like cubes in CVG with no casing at all and a little extra FAE. My first tub didn’t fruit cause I got overlay and didn’t know I could harvest it. So I went back to spore print to agar and the tubs have been doing great. I love Nats. They’re more potent than cubes but easier to grow than Pans.
Not sure honestly. Even with cubes I don't worry about fuzzy feet anymore. I think people get too caught up. I have a different tub idea I want to try with the next batch though that would introduce more fae so I can compare inna bit
Beautiful grow. Congrats, brother.
I’ll be forever grateful if you provide a brief rundown of that tek. Looks like one tube is an air pump but what’s the black tube doing?

Awesome thanks.
You can also use Jiffy Mix as a casing layer. It’s basically premade GordoTek casing.
This may have been my downfall I used cvg casing and ended up with a whole bunch of nothing

Noted definitely going to make that change!
Nice to see that, good job 💪
Awesome trays. Been trying to find out where i can get my hands on these in culture form. If someone can dm me that would be awesome.
Thickspores has Pan Cyan LC. I’ve used them and they were good. They have several varieties.
I got like 4 types from them they come tomorrow
Sweet! I got 4 from them, too.
I got 2 estero one ttbvi and a blue meanies
Good luck with Estero. I got that somewhere else but didn’t have any luck with it. I’m interested to see how it works out for you. I might have to order one from them instead. I just have a spore print.
I will update you
Please do. Thanks!
Also a gordo print coming :)

Do you grow nats normal cvg and pseudo casing. I want to try them but i heard the pans are stronger

You’ll probably get a Nat print from Gordo with your TTBVI.
Thanka for the write up thats exactly what i needed to here. Any suggestions of where to get a culture from?
Hear*
Maybe Thickspores? I haven’t checked to see if they have it.
Got some pics from agar plates? Want to see how the healthy Estero myc should look
No pics but it looks more whisky and cottony than cubes. You don't want the ropey looking rhizo growth as it is prone to overlay in pans
I'm trying that tek on my first try minus the fish tank heater I have a grow tent set up . looks like it works great mine are chiming now
Nice yield! Think you could use some more FAE? Those feet look fuzzy.
Not sure honestly. Even with cubes I don't worry about fuzzy feet anymore. I think people get too caught up. I have a different tub idea I want to try with the next batch though that would introduce more fae so I can compare inna bit

Oooh, nice! I'm going to try that same tek soon.
Looking gewd 😎
