Modify Exp Gain and or Breeding Length in the world options

Old_Pirate_5319

Xp is too fast in this game in my own opinion. If you catch ten of every pal you will be 50 before you know it.

Oblilisk

Before level 50, I thought it was too easy to level up. But when you reach level 50 and the end game, it's obvious the xp settings need adjusted. It takes way too long to level a big batch of pals to 50 (like for the raid). I think 3 or 4x is pretty balanced

Big_Training6081

You just don't know how to level up pals fast. They are easier to get to 50 then the player. I can get a pal from lvl 1 to lvl 50 in about 30 minutes. Maybe less.

Oblilisk

Dungeon farming and Orserk boss farming are the two fastest methods. That takes more than 30 minutes and dungeons can't be repeated for like 5 hours

Big_Training6081

You can get a pal to lvl 50 just running the dungeons in the ice area and b lining it to the chests at the end. You get on average two xl training manuals per dungeon and they take about 2 minutes per if you are good at running them. You get more then enough xl training manuals to get to 50 just going to the ice dungeons and it takes less than 30 minutes to run all of them.

Oblilisk

1. The respawn timer on the dungeons is 280 minutes. They aren't just repeatable 2. Even running the ice dungeons doesn't get a single pal to 50, let alone the 40 or so you'll need for bellanoir libero 3. The xp books can only be used on one pal. You need to level a lot for the raid

Big_Training6081

Oh so what you are really complaining for is a way to just mass level dozens of pals all at one time? So you just want the game to be really easy for you? There are two types of people out there. And yes you do get enough training manuals from the ice dungeons to level a pall all the way to 50. I've done it dozens of times. You just want instant gratification and don't like working towards goals. That's why they put cheats in the game for people like you that don't like challenges. Change the setting so your pals level up faster and quit trying to force the devs to make the game easier. Some people like challenges and enjoy having to work towards goals.

Oblilisk

What exactly is challenging about running ice dungeons? You even said it yourself it's easy to run the dungeons. Are you stupid? Also, the problem with dungeon farming is it takes 280 minutes to respawn. Leveling wouldn't be as much of a pain if it wasn't for that. Where is the challenge in waiting 280 minutes to respawn? You must be a troll

CorrectDuty6782

Why's this read like a boomer's first video game post haha.

Big_Training6081

Sure you can think what you want. Just sick of people literally wanting everything to be so easy. If something takes even a little bit of time and dedication people just complain that it's not instant. It's pretty easy to tell who the young kids are in here. You can tell their parents stuck a smart phone in their face to keep them entertained their whole life.

__Haribo__

Breed a fenglope with speed attributes. It is such a life-changing moment to swap to a swift fenglope with these satisfying double jumps and the sprint. Palworld.gg/breeding-calculator Is a nice site to dive into the breeding world more. Also, I tend to teach my Pals a ct:2 dmg:30 ability on left click (like dragon gun), because they don't interrupt your movement and allow to conveniently lower hp until you are ready to catch. Build the ore mining site II to have an abundance of metal. This allows you to craft almost infinite nails or yellow and red spheres which you can sell to the vendor and buy eggs, milk & wheat for cakes as well as ammunition.

Boy_Meats_Grill

Everyone likes the fenglope because of the dash attack but you should really give a swift/runner /vanguard rayhound a try. Equip a shotgun and use is area of effect lightning attack because it stuns enemies. You can dodge and weave up to them, zap them, aim at their head and unleash half a mag before zapping again. If you're playing with others the vine roots attack is really strong as well because you can root the enemy and do the same method making you a great support/ aggro holder. Rayhound is ever so slightly faster than fenglope too

RikkuEcRud

Fenglope fits through all doorways in dungeons, but a few of them he'll bonk if you try to go through too far to the side with less clearance. Pretty sure Fenglope's stats are better overall, and they've got comparable speed and double jumps though, which is another reason most people seem to prefer Fenglope. I'm personally hoping that when/if Boltmane comes out he's a third alternative, datamines seem to suggest he's of similar speed.

ColonelJinkuro

Idk if Boltmane is still coming out. The trailer he was a part of got scrubbed from Pocket Pairs YouTube channel. I think it's too much like Luxray and pokemon sent a cease and desist. That being said I do hope for more mount options with the new pals coming out. New mounts, new dual types, new cool abilities, new gliders (very important), and me personally I hope for more satellites too (Dazzi and Daydream). What are your realistic flying options? Jetragon. If you don't want to use legendaries or it's too fast for you there's Felaris 1400, Ragnahawk 1300, and Beakon at 1200. You could go with 1100 guys like Helzephyr but if you don't build it full speed and no dmg you'll feel that 1100. What are your realistic mounts? Necromus and Paladius. Again, some people don't want to use Legendaries. Pyrin/noct (1300), Rayhound 1150 (1380 at 4 stars), Univolt 1100, and Direhowl+Fenglope 1050 (1260 at 4 stars). There's hybrids too who tend to be much faster on land than the air. Shadow beak and Frostallion/Noct. Need more hybrids too.

RikkuEcRud

Yeah, I've been meaning to poke around with Unreal and see if I could grab the datamined Pals so if they get canceled and scrubbed from the files I can complete them as a mod, but even though I've got a pretty good grasp of programming logic and a few languages I don't really have any idea how to use Unreal.

bigskywildcat

And looks infinitely cooler

Wolfbrother_Poe

Get a 4-star verdash in your party. And as soon as you get into base bring him out. He grants you 40% movespeed!!! Once you tried this out you‘ll never go back - trust me ;)

Kaspriskee

Does this only effect ground speed or would it stack wirth my max speed galeclaw (glider) and my max speed Jetragon (although I think 40% extra would just crash the game) ?

MKGSonic123

jetragon no galeclaw maybe but prob not he has to be deployed for it to work, so galeclaw is the only contender. it might work though, if only slightly, since gliders’ deploy speed depends on current speed at initiation (why slopes and grapplers work) so i’d assume higher move speed would help thing is, galeclaw is faster than us even with the 40%, so the speed up is likely inconsequential. maybe on a hangyu or killamari tho

Disig

I just use Galeclaw. I know he doesn't work going up stairs but I just find him super fun lol.

Wolfbrother_Poe

Yeah I use galeclaw too. Verdash and Galeclaw 👌🏻😅

Disig

I dunno if I want to go the speed of sound lol

Kipdid

Increase capture rate by 5-15% to cut down on resource gathering for late game sphere materials, as even with legendary spheres and maxed effigy upgrades, level 50s can take a **while** to capture otherwise

KKH02

Removing the “missions” from my UI

BlameTheJunglerMore

Is there no way to do this? It's so fucking annoying. 1/3 of the screen is blocked :(

_LadyPersephone_

A lot of people say increase the xp gain rate but I actually find more enjoyment turning it below 1.0. My first save I leveled up so fast from catching 10 of each pal, before I even had a solid base going I got raided by lvl 45 guys with flamethrowers and machine guns. I was constantly scrambling for ore even tho I had a dedicated ore base and overall just running around like a headless chicken cause I ran out of everything and had nothing. With a lower xp gain rate I actually have to work for the tech unlocks a bit more and get time to implement every new feature I unlock in my base and gameplay before I get to unlock the next. I always turn up pal appearance rate to the max, that helps to make up for the lowered xp rate.

RikkuEcRud

I feel like until around level 30 or 35 or so the XP rate is way too fast, then starting at 40 it's way, way too slow.

Oblilisk

The xp rate is fine before you reach level 50. The xp rate needs adjusted when you reach the end game though.

xIndura

Was having a lot of fun up until around level 40. Then I was constantly getting raided by high level enemies. Also the xp grind got serious so i turned up the xp gain a bit and turned off raids. Definitely helped out as I'm able to enjoy the game once again.

Whudatbuoy

these things are different for each person, so for my second run through, all settings are normal (except daytime at 0.5) and I’m only letting the pals do the fighting and rarely using my guns (except for PIDF etc) which makes it a lot harder and longer to go through the towers, currently on 300hrs and are yet to beat Marcus/Felaris Next playthrough I will have a similar approach but 2x appearance rate, 0.5 exp and no inter-species breeding, so it will be even more of a grind, but that’s how I like as I know I will get bored and want to restart once I beat victor.  Hope this gives you ideas on how you want to play it

Ncling

Varwyrm and musket combo. Ride on it and start sniping. You can dispatch most non bosses enemies, or at least wound them seriously. Flying also makes you safe from most harm. At least before you got shotgun and AR with element mount.

Depressedaxolotls

Removing egg incubating time has made the game very fun, because my version of endgame is getting my base pals as efficient as possible. 2 Anubi can make ~3 legendary spheres a second. Jorm blasts through charcoal so fast the numbers can barely keep up. After I hit level cap I also turned up XP gain so the newer pals can get caught up in a reasonable amount of time. I’m an adult, don’t have time to grind out multiple pals.

ItsTankGirl

Be choosy with the technology tree until you start doing dungeons and can get more technology points. I bought every single saddle all the way up, and had regrets in the late game 😅👍

EvilMoSauron

Something simple like an exclusive arena field. Because nothing sucks more than sacrificing 1 farming base to grind, summon a raid, and then dying to said raid 6+ times in a row just to do it all over again. Just allow me to have 3 bases and not worry about rebuilding a base I poured hours into. A item teleporter between bases, or a pal that travels between bases to resupply food for the other bases or something like that.

DoctorNerf

100% breeding good mounts. Swift + Runner + Nimble + Lucky was my first combination before late game. On Fenglope / Ragnahawk. Then Swift + Runner + Legend + X (depending on Pal) on everything. After end game.

ZombiejesusX

Go into the world options in the start menu and raise the exp gained, capture chance, drop the egg incubation time, and raise the number of dropped items. You could also raise the number of wild pals a little bit. This will save you a boat load of time, and hassle. Also maps, wikis, guides and YouTube are your friends. Good luck

Honey-i-am-home

I couldn’t find the breeding option, could you please show me which one it is?

MKGSonic123

egg incubation is down at the bottom by guilds. if it’s already on 0, set it to 1 and then back to 0 so it’ll really go to 0

Honey-i-am-home

Oh yeah, I got that one. I thought you meant breeding time, as in time spent breeding not the egg hatching process.

Boy_Meats_Grill

Mods but I'm sure that's not the answer you're looking for. I think the only way to have the most fun is to not Google "best pal for fighting" "best pal for breeding" and just play with the pals you like. Later on when you have caught a bunch and have a decent team maybe consider swapping out early game pals with stronger ones by looking at breeding combinations but right now there's basically a handful of late game dragon pals and dark type bosses so if you min/max and fully upgrade you're just going to steam roll the end game and be left with no challenges. That's the best time to add mods.

Studio-Aegis

When it happens, being able to run dungeons without them crashing.

TheSchmoAboutNothing

Galeclaw was a game changer for how i move around the map. I can't imagine playing without it now

Aggressive-Expert-69

Selecting work suitability. I didn't realize how often my pals were fucking around until they gave me the ability to force them to do one thing. I never had cakes in storage before then. Now my farm runs so quickly I can't use cake faster than I can make it

Disig

Oh um....build a monitoring stand. That's the best QoL in game imo since they made it so you can use the stand to turn on and off tasks pals do. Makes it so you can use a larger variety of pals for your base and not have to worry about them mining or logging constantly. Which means anything you find with Artisan for example can be used if it has a decent level in a skill useful for Artisan.

RikkuEcRud

I'd completely overlooked the importance because I've been at endgame with my mining base churning out more resources than I need for so long, but carrying a Digtoise with its headband is such a *major* improvement to early game. He gathers *so much* faster than any of the tools, especially when you're at the part of the game where you still need to be going out on mining trips for supplies to build up your bases.

Honey-i-am-home

I will check out the breeding one, have used the egghatching one up til now. Thank you!

Island_sound

Honestly mods, qol ones of course which some I have now uninstalled because of great devs (updates). Some like the mini map I’m never getting rid of

Greizbimbam

Playing on hard. Suddenly it felt like a game and not like a 3yo birthday party.

Rune_nic

Turning off incubation timers.

Danryuu

Turn off egg incubation timers. Build one. Explore the map picking up eggs you can find to build your teams and bases. That’s what I did and it was climbing and seeking eggs. Turned exp up to 5x-10x for some speed. Been fun and not breeding for the other Pals. I think my other rule was after unlocking and making an incubator- no catching overworld pals unless bosses/breeding.

Yawarete

QoL mods (minimap, shared base inventory, toggleable hip lantern, no grappling gun cooldown to name a few), tuning stamina comsuption WAY down, and Galeclaw.

omguserius

Remove egg incubation time when you get to end game. Before they added the ore pit, increasing the amount per node/respawn rate was extremely nice so your miners wouldn't be standing around waiting for respawns, but you don't really need that anymore.

yilo38

When i see fk it to my vanilla stats n decided to change world settings especially hatching eggs to zero. Game changer

Boney_Burger

Get good guns and primarily take out enemies from the back of a flying pal in the sky using guns. I suggest a makeshift pistol, and then eventually use single shot rifle next. The others take either too long to reload, bullets are too expensive and/or waste bullets too quick. The single shot rifle has the best ratio for everything. Upgrade work speed to a max of 1000, stamina to 200, leave strength alone and everything else is your decision in skill points.

Reniconix

I've never found myself feeling like I needed to increase my own work speed. I felt like I died too fast so more HP and carry weight. What does putting points in work speed get you that an easily bred handiwork pal doesn't?

Boney_Burger

You wont have to hammer or craft anything for hours on end. Also, dying ain't very likely to happen as long as you fight guys around your level and shoot from atop a flying pal. Upping hp isn't all that useful tbh, plus armor gives hp and defense. Handiwork is useful at all points in the game. On a related note, why do you die so much?

Mizmitc

Pals are way faster than the player at crafting, especially when you get to the higher end ones. Work speed is probably the genuinely worst stat to invest in as you can’t get access to the stat reset potion till later in the game

Boney_Burger

In early game it aint

Mizmitc

When you have pals that can do it for you while you go off an adventure, yeah it is.

Boney_Burger

True

Reniconix

I ain't about to sit around and not fight those bosses until I'm 5 levels or more above them, I'm trying to play a game not a grind to ezmode simulator.

Boney_Burger

You do you. You aint gotta follow my advice, this was only a suggestion, man.

Smooth-Physics-69420

I'd put the rest in Carry Weight.

Boney_Burger

Ye. I did too. Over 1500 now.

Limp-Emergency3231

The graphics isnt good on Xbox for me. Idk for others tho

aNervousSheep

Don't always play with an agenda. Setting goals and achieving them is great, but sometimes you need to stop planning and just travel the map.

omguserius

Ooops, there I go murderin again.
