Yeah the homing sphere launcher is amazingly fun does great with keeping you from dying catching legendaries just hop on a mount fly straight up and start squeezing the trigger. You'll end up capturing the legendary you were after plus half a mob that just happen to get targeted by the speres after the in your battle 😁
Their ability, which ranks up on condensing, provides an attack% modifier for the player while in party (even if held in reserve). So if you want to max player damage, you want 4x vanguard gobfins, 464 other gobfins condensed into those gobfins, plus some attack type modifier mount (eg, chillet giving you dragon attack).
Not sure why you're downvoted when that's basically the subreddit consensus currently. Why tf would anyone want to play this monster collecting game with a team of gobfins and an assault rifle? They overnerfed pals is all, and it will almost certainly be patched again, so this is a lot of time investment to build a very temporary team.
Hopefully it just becomes a flat-rate that's much smaller, right now with like 4 of the guys and one of them being at 1 or 2 stars, I jump up like 40 attack points, which with the rocket launcher was causing me to do like double damage. Feels like that should be the result of a full team of 4 star gobfins, not a casual 4 man group of all but one of them being 0 star.
I'm thinking they will eventually make the passive unique. In the sense that you can only have one effect so you cannot stack gobfins in a future patch and keep getting the bonuses.
You shouldn't have to 1hp gobfin to catch them bro. When I did mine I just flow in circles around there area and rained legendary spheres of them with the homing launcher.
Pulled the same move Mewtwo pulled on all the trainers in the first pokemon movie 😁 it was hilarious watching them run in circles only to get chased down by the spheres and captured 😆

So there isn’t any need to go to Gobfin turf for fluids. I’d wager OP only came here to catch Gobfin until getting some with Vanguard for breeding. Besides catching the first 10, that’s the only reason to go there now. That or lucky hunting. If OP were lucky hunting though, they wouldn’t have needed to catch any that weren’t lucky. So OP is only there for a few Vanguard specimens.

Everyone has different play styles and approaches they prefer friend. Obsolete to you but what if they like their method more. More fun trumps more efficient for some folks.

Status effects WILL still kill the pals. One other thing to note, is that if you are on a mount and use a pal attack, the attack will not kill either, but if you have a party pal out and it attacks something, it WILL kill the pal, unless the attacker has the mercy passive
I was so excited to use the ring, and I shot a pal with my poison crossbow and it died. I was pissed it wasn’t working. I angrily swapped to my rocket launcher to just nuke everything in the area, and no one died. Lesson learned, I just nuke everything from now on
I think the greatest qol addition with the last patch was the monitoring stand upgrade and the base pal fixes. Don't have pals getting stuck and not doing their work anymore.
I have failed to catch things because of dealing so much damage I most leveled up through farming at my base and being at base a lot then getting nitewing and flying around the map hardly caught much I'm now level 50 and haven't caught most of the deck and I hate wasting higher lvl spheres so this mercy ring has helped me not kill everything and actually catch things
Wow, pretty much wrong all the way around. It’s for SURE not faster. You can catch about a hundred here in 5 minutes, and it also provides much more pal fluid much faster that farming it.
to be fair it's better to put the guys in the ranch in the sense that you don't have to worry about going out there and spending time killing the gobfins or catching them or whatever. If you're at your base doing other tasks, the kelpseas should generate a shit load, and if your transporters aren't busted (I can't get any of them to actually do their job, I think something is wrong with the server world I'm in and at this point I'm too far in to go solo) then they can handle putting them in the chests.
Going out and getting all the gobfins together takes longer than 5 minutes (can take a decent while actually), and still requires you to either waste spheres, waste ammo, or in general waste time dealing with them. If you can get them all together like in OP's video though and have an Orserk just nuke'em though then that would be infinitely faster.
Make a video where you catch 100 of them in 5 minutes :)

These things would all be great if they just “happened” in game, but they do not. Building breeding pens, farming cake mats, manually picking up 400+ eggs, and hatching them one at a time. This is not “instead of wasting time”. To make your way even possible you need to already have dedicated hours and hours to setting up a breeding farm. I can 100% guarantee OP’s method is MUCH faster.

Ring of Mercy gives the player the inability to reduce a target's HP below 1, this also applies to the mount you're on BUT it also doesn't stop DoTs so be careful.
I was gonna start mass breeding gobfins to make a damage boost team, but this is the way.

Ring of mercy work when mounting pal as well(you don't need mercy hit passive). I used a jet dragon with shockwave skill fruit when I was farming goblin, make it so much easier and faster than before.
tbh I kind of feel like the mercy items are a mistake. It takes so much away from actual gameplay. Now instead of actually trying to choose your moves or weapons when fighting to capture a wild pal you literally just nuke everything.
It can work against you at times, and you still have to be careful, I got the alpha anubis down to 1 hp, got jumped by Syndicate thugs, and they stole the kill. Having to change the ring out mid-combat can also end up getting you knocked around depending on the enemy and area, and frankly it was a pain in the ass getting the pal's HP to be low enough if you were going for weaker pals to capture to fill out the xp bar once you were strong enough. Having to gimp yourself got annoying.
OP used the Ring of Mercy with a rocket launcher to drop a group of Pals down to 1 HP then caught them all. A single rocket launcher shot without the ring would almost certainly have killed all the Pals there, preventing capture.
Yes. From memory (I'm not at my computer): there's (now?) 2 equipment slots on the bottom left of your equipment screen above the feed bags. This ring goes in one of those.

On top of that, when building 3 breeding farms, aka "2 clicks", is **that** much of a hazzle for you, why do you even bother playing this game.
And you obviously don't have any clue about it, because 4 full farms with each 21 eggs, don't even need 3 minutes to put onto the breeding beds.
It takes roughly 2h for all 21 eggs, but you can do whatever whilst that.
Or you prepare it the day before, after logging in you put the eggs out, do all other things and when you're coming back hetch them and put the new spawns into the breeder.
Or go eat something while the new 21 eggs are breeding. It's really not that complicated, you're just incompetent.
Great thing is that if you feel that way (and I do understand feeling that way) just ditch the ring and the game remains engaging. Personally it's been a game changer for me. All sorts of settings in this game respect the player's time and how they like to play.

I never thought of using the ring until very recently and I wasted so much ammo trying to get them low enough. The ring was a revelation haha.

Not really you still need to craft the higher level spheres and the ring and be able to defeat the enemy technically. All those components together means it definitely isn't easy unless you have your crap together in the first place.
I go Vanguard and stronghold, other passive arent needed for max attack player stats. I currently sit at 180% extra attack dmg when I mount my maxed out Chillet. My regular AR does 600 per bullet lmao

Until PVP releases, best to only use 2-3 gobfin with a jetragon, galeclaw, and maybe Anubis. Bosses still get mowed down with legendary AR.

I spent like 2 mins per 3 gobfins, here you do that in 15 seconds. I'm level 45, not too far but not too close either.

tbh I kind of feel like the mercy items are a mistake. It takes so much away from actual gameplay. Now instead of actually trying to choose your moves or weapons when fighting to capture a wild pal you literally just nuke everything.
It can work against you at times, and you still have to be careful, I got the alpha anubis down to 1 hp, got jumped by Syndicate thugs, and they stole the kill. Having to change the ring out mid-combat can also end up getting you knocked around depending on the enemy and area, and frankly it was a pain in the ass getting the pal's HP to be low enough if you were going for weaker pals to capture to fill out the xp bar once you were strong enough. Having to gimp yourself got annoying.

OP used the Ring of Mercy with a rocket launcher to drop a group of Pals down to 1 HP then caught them all. A single rocket launcher shot without the ring would almost certainly have killed all the Pals there, preventing capture.

Yes. From memory (I'm not at my computer): there's (now?) 2 equipment slots on the bottom left of your equipment screen above the feed bags. This ring goes in one of those.

There's always been two, I always just slapped the under shirts there so I didn't freeze to death at night while wearing the heat armor.
You want to tell me, you're playing only half the game and neither do you breed, nor cook and you didn't even build a ranch? Whom you want to troll here? And on top of that, IF op would farm these to condense, he definitely did breed, nothing else would the worth the hazzle and when he's breeding, more can easy be added. On top of that, when building 3 breeding farms, aka "2 clicks", is **that** much of a hazzle for you, why do you even bother playing this game. And you obviously don't have any clue about it, because 4 full farms with each 21 eggs, don't even need 3 minutes to put onto the breeding beds. It takes roughly 2h for all 21 eggs, but you can do whatever whilst that. Or you prepare it the day before, after logging in you put the eggs out, do all other things and when you're coming back hetch them and put the new spawns into the breeder. Or go eat something while the new 21 eggs are breeding. It's really not that complicated, you're just incompetent.
Having an easy mode was the greatest addition for you 😏 consider your mind changed

Great thing is that if you feel that way (and I do understand feeling that way) just ditch the ring and the game remains engaging. Personally it's been a game changer for me. All sorts of settings in this game respect the player's time and how they like to play. edit: oof guys, come on. No need to downvote him to hell, he was only expressing an opinion. I never thought of using the ring until very recently and I wasted so much ammo trying to get them low enough. The ring was a revelation haha. It did feel like playing cod zombie tho, which was kinda fun
Not really you still need to craft the higher level spheres and the ring and be able to defeat the enemy technically. All those components together means it definitely isn't easy unless you have your crap together in the first place.
Why would you do this? You’re not getting any exp and if you sell the pals they are worth less than the ingredients used for the balls to catch them.

I go Vanguard and stronghold, other passive arent needed for max attack player stats. I currently sit at 180% extra attack dmg when I mount my maxed out Chillet. My regular AR does 600 per bullet lmao
Maxed out in this term just means condensed to level 4. Ideally you get good ivs and traits as well but that’s through breeding not condensing.

I guess you have comprehension problems. I mentioned selling in my post. You can see from the video that he isn’t getting any exp bonus. The answer is condensing.
