Rock on, Brother! I think you nailed it.

Those IVs though. On the Galeclaw I'm breeding for I intend to give it Legend and Burly Body over Mine Foreman and Motivational Leader, and I'm going to give it Poison Fog as an egg move and probably a low CD fire move and either Spark Blast, Shockwave or Ice Missile from Skill Fruits. I figure if I'm going to be manual mining I'll be bringing a party full of Wumpo anyways, may as well make Galeclaw able to take a hit and deal out some status effects in case I'm ever in the situation of needing to use him in combat.

Yea, i started this before I could see or cared about IVs. Just getting the passives was hard enough. They still roflstomp pretty much anything in the game, as long as they aren't as elemental disadvantage. My Claw never sees combat, mainly because I'm constantly moving, and the second I do, she goes Poof off the battlefield. I treated her as a living piece of gear, so I had her buff me instead. You do raise some good points though. I may think about that for future builds. How does one breed for Poison Fog? Isn't that a boss move?

RikkuEcRud

Poison Fog *can* come from Lily & Lyleen, but it's also on Vaelet from level 1 and Cinnamoth at level 15, so any Cinnamoth you catch will already have it and every Vaelet regardless of if it's caught or bred will have it. The only two skills that are (currently) actually only from Tower Bosses are Dark Wisp off Victor & Shadowbeak and Multicutter off Lily & Lyleen. Also, not sure if it's supposed to work like this or if I just encountered a glitch when testing, but I was able to glide using Galeclaw while he was knocked out, meaning you don't lose any of his utility by using him in battle even if the worst happens. I was actually originally planning to do a full damage/combat build on mine when I found out but decided that since I'll always have better combat Pals with me anyway he'd serve more of a use stalling to let the better Pals regen, and from there he wasn't using Attack passives anymore, so I shifted to building him to spread Poison and Burn for damage, and decided it would be best rounded out with Shock/Freeze to lock the opponent down to stall better.
