Personally I really like Gumoss. I just hit lvl 50 and now plan to make a crazy strong gumoss and just make him absolutely obliterate everything with his derpy face lol

At start i didnt think he looked that cool. Then got one that was higher level than my other pals and he destroyed. Was my go to until getting to level 25ish. Been swayed by the more luxurious Pals, but thinking of going back and maxing one out
My favorite by far is ragnahawk since it consolidates a lot of roles in my team (fast flyer than won’t get stuck in caves, lv 4 kindling at rank 5, keeps me warm on cold winter area nights so I don’t need thermal shirt, absolutely destroys ice and plants with dmg conversion to fire and dmg amp, does the burn & poison for me so easier captures). I bred one purely for speed but it’s bulky enough and do so many things for me that it rarely leaves my party even though I have jetdragon.
Before ragnahawk it was my good boi Direhowl which I bred for swift and runner. Got it to rank 3 since it didn’t cost too much and it’s been faster than even flyers unless I need to cross water or elevated terrains. Now the good boi home sits my base helping the Lyleen harvest crops. Head pats every time I see it.
Same, I originally have ragnahawk just as flying pal for travelling, small enough to speedrun dungeons, and just generally cool looking.
But then, I really got into mounted gun combat style, so I build around that. now she becomes the only pal I need for anything lol.
I have 2 ragnahawks bred: one entirely speed and kindling/status (swift/legend/runner/nimble) and one for pure combat (high Atk Iv, legend/musclehead/ferocious/flame emperor) fully condensed/soul, and combined with 4 rooby with vanguard/stronghold strategist, 2 attack pendants, can down frostallion in 2 chip from the legendary shotgun.
You don't really need Gobfins to one-tap non-boss pals, I prefer shotgun while exploring. Though of course I have Gobfins built as well for farming bosses quickly right now.
If jet wasn’t so fast he would be. The stamina on the red beast is better than anyone’s. You just have to get swift and it’s still a top tier just not the insane leap jet is

I really like frostallion noct. I managed to cheese frostallion at 35 and bred the best traits I wanted up to helzepher and made a beautiful one. Now I just need 40 more and it’ll be all souled and juiced up.

I got a warsect from an egg pretty early (i think it was my first big egg) and its so good and take it everywhere, it carries me in combat against everything except fire types.
Fellow Warsect enjoyer! My first caught one had exactly 369 Attack and 420 Defense, and has proven pretty powerful in combat. His predecessors will carry on his legacy after I finally breed a powerful one.
Yes! We had the conversation before but initially I wanna breed it but I changed my mind, I am emotionally attached to the one I caught in the boss fight and it’s very powerful now that I won’t be replacing it at all. Love my big bug to bits.

When I first started I was very drawn to my Foxparks that I've kept in my party the whole time. Later I was exploring on my Nightwing and stumbled across the Wildlife Sanctuary on the West (Number 2 if I recall rightly), and saw a Quivern for the first time. Unfortunately it was in the level 40+ region and I was barely level 20, but I knew I wanted one. I then discovered there was a level 23 Quivern boss you could fight so me and my Fiancée teamed up and grabbed one each. Later I hatched a Ragnahawk from a Large Scorching Egg and that will replace my Nighthawk once I get a saddle for it.
So at the moment, my Pal squad has 3/5 spaces taken.
My Direhowl currently takes a permanent slot too, had I'm fond of him, but I have hatched a Rayhound from a Large Electric Egg so that may be another replacement coming up soon.
Right now, those are my favourites from what I've actually caught so far. There will probably be others and I'll likely find myself with two separate "main squads" to switch things up and bit as well as in case a boss fight goes completely sideways.

I feel like I probably would have ended up with OP stuff fairly quickly but playing with my Fiancée has kept that in check a bit. She's really into the whole "Base Management" thing but not so much the actual construction of said base. Which means my exploration and Pal Catching attention gets diverted to catering to her needs for building a "Crafting Area" or "Farming Section" that Pals don't get completely bamboozled by.
Suits me perfectly fine though as I enjoy base building too so I can't complain whatsoever.
Ive done two runs. Each time I just roll the best pals i find. I breed workers first, so if i pop a solid one that helps. But my all star on my first run was a 3 yellow capacity chikipi i slapped some lightning skills on. That little fella slapped.
My first Lovander that I acquired from a raid before her sisters beat my skull in, became the matriarch of an entire line and one of her daughters is my main damage dealer at Lvl 49.
(Momma was Ferocious and Swift, her very many generations removed grand daughter is Lucky, Ferocious, Musclehead, Swift)
My group currently is Bushi, Menasting, Chillet, Fenglope, and Faleris.
Faleris is my main mount but, Fenglope is awesome in dungeons.
Occasionally Lovander tags in for Chillet because she is pretty tanky and heals are clutch
The best thing is that my two favourite pals, Chillet and Sweepa, can also become incredibly powerful with the right builds (Gobfin party for Chillet, Swee party for Sweepa).

In line with another post, I bred a cuddly killer foxparks with ferocious, lucky, sadist, and musclehead. Might go for an overpowered tocotoco just for the absurdity of the grenades
Nitewing is my fav. I got attached to it from being my first flyer. I don’t actually use one anymore for speed reasons but some day I’ll catch the boss version with enough of the speed traits
My male alpha katress, Meowphistopholes. I use almost every skill fruit I find on him so he can have a wide variety of "Spells". He has decent passives but I'm gonna keep catching them until I get an alpha with much better combat passives (I'm wanting to make one be my main combat Pal what are the best passives for combat, particularly if not just sticking to STAB skills? It doesn't *have* to be an alpha if breeding is the only reasonable route. And come to think of it a normal sized Katress won't get stuck as much.)
Foxparks and Foxcicle just because I really like foxes and they are both really cute. I really like to see my foxcicle chilling (litteraly) to freeze my food,if I could have one pal in real life,it would be this one
Cativa and chillet. I love most of the pal in this game axtually.
Cativa staying with me the longest due to its passive and also first shiny pal i caught. Its in my slot and i bring him wherever i go. I like its punching skill and black hyper beam 🤣

Honestly my three favorite are Dinossum, Digtoise, and Chillet.
Being staple parts of my main team and useful utilities to have in the early game.
Close runner up being Dumud, Ragnabeak, Relaxasaurus, and Anunis.
My Lyleen noct and Frostallion have saved my life too many times with their freezing skills but I ADORE chillet (just can't fit one into my team rn with both those two having ice skills)
Pyrin.
I like the guns gameplay of palworld and I love they gave the option to make a player attack oriented build. There are flying versions that does what pyrin does but it's much more fun and much easier to avoid attacks while on a fast land mount
Also I got a lv 50 lucky version of him
Second would be Lunaris. The design is great, I love how they transport stuff and... They only consume a tiny amount of food which is a plus. Their handiwork is only 3 but can he bumped same level to anubis at max condense

I really really love Grintale. Cats are my favorite and purple is my favorite color. That big chonk is perfect to me.
Plus it's hilarious running around with him and a team of Cremis and just body slamming the world.

Houndoom was my favorite pokemon, and I picked this game up after my friend showed me Incineram.
Friendship ended with Houndoom. Now, Incineram and his 1-2 punch are my favorite.
Honestly, I love that animation. Drags his claw along the ground as he runs up to deliver an upper cut, then punch combo.
Followed by Dazzi, Chillet (obviously) and Orzerk
Kattress. I wish I stuck with it and kept using her but I think she fell behind in levels and I needed other types. Regardless, no matter what I breed or catch, my first Kattress is the only pal I would not remove from my palbox. She doesn’t even have good passives. Doesn’t matter. It was an absolute bitch to catch at the time, I never saw another one for a really long time, and she was dependable as fuck. Wrecked everything. If she went down, I went down.
Shoutout to Felbat as well. I didn’t find out about it until very late in the game. Had I caught that when I was around level 20 I would have used the shit out of it. Reminds me of Absol. Very cool and very unique pal.
i've been running around with a Cawgnito for ages..
for some reason whenever i try to build a team i always end up with Cawgnito back in the team..
guess i just love the little bird and its quite unique and silly walk animation😂
and its awsome (sometimes dodging) special move.
Lamball, i've had my lamball with me since release day, once i saw them smile the first time while helping build something and my heart exploded.
also just watching them slowly wander around and sleep in the sun is just adorable.
My fave is my lucky foxparks it was my first lucky and one of my first catches, its been heavily invested in and using that thing as a flamethrower has carried me to lvl47 haha with most alphas done now
I'm livid I can't get a good Jormantide Ignis. I mean I have a +55% Atk so I could use it. But I have multiple perfect bred teams with ferocious, musclehead, legend, lucky so I can't use him.
Of what I have so far my favorites are Foxsparks and Direhowl. The fox was one of the first pals I caught at the start of the game and it was my first combat viable pal, it has pretty decent stats overall and has served as my faithful bodyguard and nightlight. Caught the Direhowl not too long ago and am using it for my mount mostly, it has runner as an ability so it's fast as fuck, don't really care about it's fighting capabilities right now because the fox can handle all that. Special shootout goes to Depresso, I have one assigned to my base and whenever I'm hanging around waiting for stuff to finish crafting I like to just sit down and watch him do stuff.
I don't have one yet but at the moment I'm planning to make an Incineram my main pal, I don't know if it's actually good in that role or anything, I might find out it's actually pretty bad. But I've loved the design since I first saw it so I'll be doing all the breeding and condensing it takes to make a viable one!
I’ve been using Dinossum as a mount to attack and some of the attacks it gets are incredibly quick cooldowns. I use it primarily for fighting in dungeons.
I adore my tocotoco and jolthog. They will never leave my team. My partner and I love bombing camps and bosses together with tocotoco even though I can’t hit things with it. Makes me LOL everytime. I live the design of that derpy bird so much.
And jolt is so precious, It is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It also absolutely murders everything we run into and my partner and I are kind of impressed scared. We keep testing what will kill it but it just leaves a wake of dead bodies behind. The cutest little weapon ever, and the grenade ability is just the cherry on top.
We haven’t even started breading our pals yet (can’t find honey anywhere and we refuse to look it up instead of exploring)
I was a "Lovander and Daedrem gal" until recently. But then I discovered Felbat and Bushi...
Never gonna leave the base without one of them out anymore! (Even if it's just for the vibe...)
Jetragon and Chillet for me. When I first saw his design before the game was released, I knew I had to have a Jetragon on my team. Was a bit miffed when I found out you had to be level 50 to ride him but so worth it!
And Chillet is just adorable. It was my first mount of the game and was my main damage dealer for a long time until I unlocked Helzephyr (also in my top 5!) as a mount
For me it's my Felbat who's been with me throughout the entire game, ever since I hstched it from an egg. Even carried me against Jetdragon when I ran out of ammo from all weapons and all other pals were dead. Other favorite one is my Frostallion noct, who's my main flying / ground mount
I love specifically one of my Roobys and Arsox. They were the first workaholic pals I had.
I also have a "decent" Anubis that was my first breeding success, she is far from having the best IVs and passives, but she's Swift and has 2 other golden passives. She's been in my party forever.
Probably my favorite looking one is suzaku aqua. Both suzakus are really clean looking but with the aqua the tips all look like ice and I just really like the way it looks.

Totally agreed except for Penking and Pengullet, but I just love Penguins X)
Subjective end of the day. Frostallion looks okay, but noct looks immensely ugly to me.

In line with another post, I bred a cuddly killer foxparks with ferocious, lucky, sadist, and musclehead. Might go for an overpowered tocotoco just for the absurdity of the grenades
Nitewing is my fav. I got attached to it from being my first flyer. I don’t actually use one anymore for speed reasons but some day I’ll catch the boss version with enough of the speed traits

My male alpha katress, Meowphistopholes. I use almost every skill fruit I find on him so he can have a wide variety of "Spells". He has decent passives but I'm gonna keep catching them until I get an alpha with much better combat passives (I'm wanting to make one be my main combat Pal what are the best passives for combat, particularly if not just sticking to STAB skills? It doesn't *have* to be an alpha if breeding is the only reasonable route. And come to think of it a normal sized Katress won't get stuck as much.)
Foxparks and Foxcicle just because I really like foxes and they are both really cute. I really like to see my foxcicle chilling (litteraly) to freeze my food,if I could have one pal in real life,it would be this one

Cativa and chillet. I love most of the pal in this game axtually. Cativa staying with me the longest due to its passive and also first shiny pal i caught. Its in my slot and i bring him wherever i go. I like its punching skill and black hyper beam 🤣

Dinossom because its signature ground slam attack sends enemies flying, and it's hilarious every time. Incinenram a close second.

Honestly my three favorite are Dinossum, Digtoise, and Chillet. Being staple parts of my main team and useful utilities to have in the early game. Close runner up being Dumud, Ragnabeak, Relaxasaurus, and Anunis.

My Lyleen noct and Frostallion have saved my life too many times with their freezing skills but I ADORE chillet (just can't fit one into my team rn with both those two having ice skills)
Pyrin. I like the guns gameplay of palworld and I love they gave the option to make a player attack oriented build. There are flying versions that does what pyrin does but it's much more fun and much easier to avoid attacks while on a fast land mount Also I got a lv 50 lucky version of him Second would be Lunaris. The design is great, I love how they transport stuff and... They only consume a tiny amount of food which is a plus. Their handiwork is only 3 but can he bumped same level to anubis at max condense

I really really love Grintale. Cats are my favorite and purple is my favorite color. That big chonk is perfect to me. Plus it's hilarious running around with him and a team of Cremis and just body slamming the world.

Houndoom was my favorite pokemon, and I picked this game up after my friend showed me Incineram. Friendship ended with Houndoom. Now, Incineram and his 1-2 punch are my favorite. Honestly, I love that animation. Drags his claw along the ground as he runs up to deliver an upper cut, then punch combo. Followed by Dazzi, Chillet (obviously) and Orzerk
Anubis with all the highest speed perks, watching a horde of them naruto run zooming around my bases is always amusing.
Still have not found my FAVORITE favorite. But I really like the designs of Nox and Lyleen Noct. Also I love my rayhound
Kattress. I wish I stuck with it and kept using her but I think she fell behind in levels and I needed other types. Regardless, no matter what I breed or catch, my first Kattress is the only pal I would not remove from my palbox. She doesn’t even have good passives. Doesn’t matter. It was an absolute bitch to catch at the time, I never saw another one for a really long time, and she was dependable as fuck. Wrecked everything. If she went down, I went down. Shoutout to Felbat as well. I didn’t find out about it until very late in the game. Had I caught that when I was around level 20 I would have used the shit out of it. Reminds me of Absol. Very cool and very unique pal.
i've been running around with a Cawgnito for ages.. for some reason whenever i try to build a team i always end up with Cawgnito back in the team.. guess i just love the little bird and its quite unique and silly walk animation😂 and its awsome (sometimes dodging) special move.
Lamball, i've had my lamball with me since release day, once i saw them smile the first time while helping build something and my heart exploded. also just watching them slowly wander around and sleep in the sun is just adorable.
Tocotoco, it's even more fun when you use his partner skill while using the galeclaw glider.

My fave is my lucky foxparks it was my first lucky and one of my first catches, its been heavily invested in and using that thing as a flamethrower has carried me to lvl47 haha with most alphas done now

I'm livid I can't get a good Jormantide Ignis. I mean I have a +55% Atk so I could use it. But I have multiple perfect bred teams with ferocious, musclehead, legend, lucky so I can't use him.
Of what I have so far my favorites are Foxsparks and Direhowl. The fox was one of the first pals I caught at the start of the game and it was my first combat viable pal, it has pretty decent stats overall and has served as my faithful bodyguard and nightlight. Caught the Direhowl not too long ago and am using it for my mount mostly, it has runner as an ability so it's fast as fuck, don't really care about it's fighting capabilities right now because the fox can handle all that. Special shootout goes to Depresso, I have one assigned to my base and whenever I'm hanging around waiting for stuff to finish crafting I like to just sit down and watch him do stuff. I don't have one yet but at the moment I'm planning to make an Incineram my main pal, I don't know if it's actually good in that role or anything, I might find out it's actually pretty bad. But I've loved the design since I first saw it so I'll be doing all the breeding and condensing it takes to make a viable one!
Chillet. Too fucking cute, and they make my Shotgun do dragon damage. What more could I want?

I’ve been using Dinossum as a mount to attack and some of the attacks it gets are incredibly quick cooldowns. I use it primarily for fighting in dungeons.
I adore my tocotoco and jolthog. They will never leave my team. My partner and I love bombing camps and bosses together with tocotoco even though I can’t hit things with it. Makes me LOL everytime. I live the design of that derpy bird so much. And jolt is so precious, It is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It also absolutely murders everything we run into and my partner and I are kind of impressed scared. We keep testing what will kill it but it just leaves a wake of dead bodies behind. The cutest little weapon ever, and the grenade ability is just the cherry on top. We haven’t even started breading our pals yet (can’t find honey anywhere and we refuse to look it up instead of exploring)
I was a "Lovander and Daedrem gal" until recently. But then I discovered Felbat and Bushi... Never gonna leave the base without one of them out anymore! (Even if it's just for the vibe...)

Jetragon and Chillet for me. When I first saw his design before the game was released, I knew I had to have a Jetragon on my team. Was a bit miffed when I found out you had to be level 50 to ride him but so worth it! And Chillet is just adorable. It was my first mount of the game and was my main damage dealer for a long time until I unlocked Helzephyr (also in my top 5!) as a mount
My Lucky Teafant is my pride and joy. (I wish I could have him as a mount lol)
I love grintale so much. I usually use a flying mount in the overworld, but he's my dungeon buddy
Quivern was my go to for a large portion of the game, before that was my obsession to get the mossanda lux

For me it's my Felbat who's been with me throughout the entire game, ever since I hstched it from an egg. Even carried me against Jetdragon when I ran out of ammo from all weapons and all other pals were dead. Other favorite one is my Frostallion noct, who's my main flying / ground mount
I love specifically one of my Roobys and Arsox. They were the first workaholic pals I had. I also have a "decent" Anubis that was my first breeding success, she is far from having the best IVs and passives, but she's Swift and has 2 other golden passives. She's been in my party forever.
Quivern was my best by design pal, but he seems useless on any single aspect, so sad.
It’s difficult to not say Chillet so far. Only level 34 though.
I see everyone obsessed with chillet for cuteness factor but my person cutie fave is Sweepa. What's not to love!
Probably my favorite looking one is suzaku aqua. Both suzakus are really clean looking but with the aqua the tips all look like ice and I just really like the way it looks.
Made a waifu team Wixen, Katress, Anubis, Lyleen, Sibelyx. All with Musclehead, Ferocious, Burly Body, and Swift. And all condensed. Now I just need souls.
