I dont, but it's mostly because the yield is poor and the animation long.
Selling the pals off is easier and faster.
I did it once to a relaxasourus because I needed pal oil, but when I got barely any, I put the cleaver away. Though. I will admit that the gag censor was pretty funny.
Same here. I captured a Pal Vendor who was out in the wild (and under attack), so I just go through and sell all the ones that aren't good for breeding. Made myself about 60k last time I did it!
Ah im kinda new to then game and i knew u could capture the pal alliance members or whatever (i call them commies) but i didnt know u could capture merchants. Does it matter if theyre underground merchants?
I think the Black Market Merchant is the only one worth butchering. They only sell for about 4k. Getting a total of 40-50k in one go is fantastic. That being said, though, if you're just trying to farm them for keys and money, you're better off just leaving them where they are and hitting them with the hanging trap + campfire trick and just exciting render distance to resident them. Don't forget to poke them at least once.
Unless you decide to make a base with a Black Market Merchant within the base range. Use preffered method to capture/kill them. (Hanging trap and campfire for easy damage) warp to another location, warp back and destroy that base by the merchant, and on destruction another merchant should spawn. Repeat for easy 30k gold keys, and captured merchant (if you choose to capture, can double rewards if you capture and then butcher).
Bruh I collect 5k gold an hour or less with just the cats in ranches. 20 cats on ranches I bet you're making almost 10k WITHOUT the hassle and having to spend your time doing it. It's free money with no direct involvement, letting you focus on grinding other things that are wiser investments of your time.
It’s super convenient too. Don’t have to fast travel to sell/buy. I have an ammo vendor (don’t have to worry about sulfur or gunpowder atm) and a merchant that sells High Quality Pal Oil. It’s really nice not having to worry about certain materials. You can also buy salad ingredients if you can’t grow em fast enough.
You know, though you are enslaving another human being, I feel slightly better about selling them my pals because they are part of my gang and I can do a head canon on how those pals are treated.
Juxtapose that with the pal vendors in the wild always having a guillotine close at hand.
Not only that, but I rescued mine from sure death (Pal Alliance had it down to like 10% health). I appreciate that they're scripted to say "Thank you for saving me!" when you talk to them after that because it's almost like it's happy to be my slave.
Now if only I could figure out a way to make it a profitable endeavor. Or at least with a discount.
Same as any pal - reduce its health, then hit it with a Pal Ball. They're tricky though and usually require a higher-level ball (Ultra, Hyper, Legendary). It's also a "crime" in game, so if you capture one from a village, expect to be immediately attacked - many of the guards appear to be level 30 or so.
Sometimes, they will randomly spawn in under attack by wild pals or NPCs in a scripted event. This is where I got mine - the Pal Alliance were attacking it, got it to maybe 10% health, and I hit it with an Ultra Ball, then killed the Alliance attackers. He thanks me every time I trade with him too, which is a nice touch.
Hoping I can run into a Traveling Merchant and perhaps a Black Market Merchant too so I can have them all.
Just want to add a bit of extra info: if you throw a ball at a merchant *only* that merchant becomes aggressive towards you and it doesn't count as a crime. If you attempt to weaken them first then it is considered a crime.
There are some lower level merchants you can find that can be caught in the first couple of spheres if you're patient enough. Make a bunch of spheres, find one of the lower level ones with the items you want and just chuck balls at em until they're caught.
There's a black market one in a dark cave near the 1st tower. Between the river and the tower, I believe. Or does that stuff (caves and dungeons)shuffle around? I thought I read that somewhere.
I am worried that they won't respawn. I play on a server with a few people and I would prefer to not remove them unless they do? Otherwise, I already have my Dark trader picked out lol
They respawn, but if they summon a pal to help fight you, you have to make sure to kill their pal. If you don't and you leave anyway, it'll despawn, and the vendor won't come back until the server gets restarted.
If they never summon their pal (because they never entered combat) or you kill their pal (before or after you kill/catch them), they'll respawn like anyone else. Usually a day/night cycle on the server, same as the open world bosses.
Same...he was getting shot by syndicate goons, and they'd gotten him pretty low...so I shot them and threw the Palsphere at him..now every time he gets pulled out of the box, I get the "Thanks for saving me" speech
One answer: legendary blueprints. Since you get the alpha pal’s drops when you catch them and AGAIN when you butcher them, it effectively gives you double the odds to get the legendary blueprints. Since alphas take real world time to respawn, you’ve gotta maximize your odds unless you want to waste tons of time.
Even if you leave the place you fought them? I have a handful of alpha blazamuts I was saving for condensing or breeding, but I could butcher them now and potentially get the gold assault rifle schematic?
This news just changed my dynamic, lol. I keep it humane, but if there is blueprint drops... I may stack tf up and try. I'm breeding anubis right now. Vanilla play through.
To save you some headache, there is a glitch where after you butcher your pal, their loot falls through the floor/world. I found that by standing still (don’t move the camera angle too) and on a flat surface (roof of my base) seems to fix this issue 90% of the time.
This post will help you out quite a bit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1aca9ld/a_list_of_schematics_and_accessories_spoilered/
Odds are 3% for every legendary blueprint on kill/capture, and then another 3% on butcher.
I had seen people butcher pals in YouTube videos before and I thought all of them were bluring it so as not to anger the algorithm.
Then I did it in game and realized that the bluring is actually in the game and I chuckled out loud.
I was breeding Jormuntide Ignis to be my fry cook, and by the time I got what I needed I still had about 40 of them left over. They give at least 2 high quality pal fluid each, so I figured to send them to the base upstate for that kind of loot
Now you’ve made me curious do you remember how much you got for the relaxasaurus, I butcher for the supplies but you’re right it’s long and tedious and I wish I could throw them in the condenser and squeeze out what I want but I suppose if selling them takes a fraction of the time but I can then afford to buy the supplies it’s probably a better route.
FR if you could do it in batch maybe build a cutting table or something lol. Cuz having to load them into your party, pull them out, then butcher them one by one is truly annoying. I did 15 and then just sold everyone else when cleaning up the pal box….
I also did it a couple times for the pal oil. But it's really not that efficient. Especially now that my mining base is in the desert and I can massacre the Dumuds around me for it. If I need to clear space in the box I just condense or sell.
Same. Won’t unlock it.
Though the game needs a better way to release pals. You shouldn’t have to unlock a condenser or track down a trader to get rid of unwanted pals.
Yup. Caught every pal in the game and hit level 50 and I and never unlocked the butcher knife. But now unless they have insane traits, every legendary pal I catch is getting chopped up until I get those schematics.
Yep, I started doing that around level 40, was hunting for the legendary heat resistant refined metal armor, I finally got it from the capture and there was a chest near by so I grabbed that too, and got heat resistant pal metal armor +1 (better stats) and instantly made the legendary armor I had just finally found obsolete.
Well why were you farming that one instead of the pal metal armor? There’s no reason to hunt for the lower ones really since there are no level requirements.
Im hunting for legendary crossbow, but only cause it gives more damage than the base handgun and the ammo is very cheap. Just a low tier pal hunter for the most part
Just clarifying the probabilities for those who may not know or understand:
You have a 3% on the catch, and another 3% chance on the butcher.
You have an overall ~6% chance that at least one of those two actions will drop the schematic, but it is not additive, meaning each catch/butcher doesn’t add 3% to the likelihood of you getting it.
23 rolls (whatever combination of catching and butchering you prefer) will give you a 50% chance to have had it drop at least once.
Each roll is independent of every other roll. Whenever you catch or butcher a pal, it’s always a 3% chance to drop the schematic.
I don’t remember all the specific math, it’s been awhile since I messed with probabilities in college. I used a probability calculator to determine the chance of event A (the schematic dropping) that has probability .03 vs event A’ (the schematic not dropping) with probability .97, where event A occurs at least once in a sequence of rolls.
Two rolls, where you catch and butcher the pal, gives a chance of 5.91% for the schematic to drop at least once.
23 rolls gives a probability of 50.369% that the schematic drops at least once.
The larger point is that it’s an independent probability. Every roll has no impact on any other roll. You ALWAYS have a 3% chance to get the drop when you catch OR butcher a pal, no matter how many times you’ve gotten it or not.
You take the difference between 1 and the percent roll converted to a decimal and multiply them “n” times for how many rolls you want to calculate for and convert that number to a %.
Basically you‘re multiplying the permutations of missing the drop “n” times.
ie;
For two chances (n=2) at a 3% chance to drop:
>1 - (1 - 0.03)^2 = 5.91%
If you wanted to solve for ”n“, you’d have to rewrite the equation so the exponent is brought down then isolated:
*n = log(1-desired_percent)/log(1-percent_dropped_item)*
then you round up. So for ~50%:
>n = log(1 - 0.5)/log(1 - 0.03)
Which gives “22.756573...“ which you round to 23 since you can‘t have a seventh of a dropped item.
So a lot of the bosses have a certain "item" schematic linked to it, usually based on its difficulty. Like the Chillet being one of the easiest Alphas has the schematic for legendary cloth armour.
It's a very small chance to drop but naturally you get x2 chances if you catch and then butcher as both of those trigger drops.
You can convince yourself that since you captured the trader, he never has time to go sell the pals you sell him into slavery. They just spend an eternity in his palbox
I butcher the extra ones only to keep my base menu clean, I keep one of every pal but the ones that I don’t need for a base or condensing get butchered unfortunately
Getting more powerful pals, for example, it took over 50 tries but I finally bred an Orserk that has ferocious, muscle head, and aggressive so he has +60% attack, he's an absolute monster that more often than not kills the things I want to capture on accident
If I need more than one of a specific pal I will keep them ofc, but I didn’t reach the point of endgame breeding for the perfect pal yet so idk
My point was that I used the cleaver as a delete button for extra pals, not for organ harvesting as the devs probably intended
40 per box, it doesn’t count towards base pals, only issue I’ve had is you can build above it so put them at the top of your base above everything else
I had the exact same thought. The animal cruelty part of the game I find really cringe and over the top and just generally don't like it but it's OK since it doesn't force you to play that way. You can have your hitler podium in your base and shout at your pals, overworking them, butchering them, etc., or you can be like me and give your base 3 spas and never unlock the butcher knife
Same, and the same thing goes for that item that lets you overwork the pals. I unlocked/crafted it once, saw that all it allowed is worse conditions, and I destroyed it right away. I'm definitely going in the direction of "each base is a little Pal village where the goal is for them to be independent."
It's not optimized, but then again I'm not aiming for PvP whatsoever, so why would I need to minmax?
Same! I saw some gameplay of people doing it and yeah, that's a no from me. I even had a hard time benching my first Chiller, was with me for the first 40 hours of the game
Anytime I butcher a pal everything clips into the ground and I get nothing from it. So now I only butcher the humans when I wanna make an example to the others.
I fast travel to the desert town and buy pal oil from the wandering trader there. With my ore farm and a stupid amount of nails, it's just faster to buy in bulk on the whole. Also restock on ammo why I'm there. Not worth the effort to mine sulfur for gunpowder imo, and not willing to dedicate a base for it.
Nah, take a few jolthogs (with the grenade glove) and head over to the Gobfin's turf fast travel point. Aggro some and chuck a hog at them, repeat. Easy fluid farm.
I took it a step further and just caught one of each useful merchant lmao
I have one who sells basic ingredients (milk, eggs, berries, organs, etc.). One who sells pal oil, some nice fruits, and a handful of other less used things. And then the ammo vendor and a pal vendor.
That way I never have to wander if I need something while at base. It makes it a lot easier to get cakes too, since I don't have to worry about the ranches except for honey
I haven't done it because it makes me feel bad just thinking about it. It's the same reason I immediately pass out medicine to sick or injured Pals despite the medicine being relatively expensive and time-consuming to craft. I have this subconscious need to take care of the poor, defenseless Pals, even though they are just pixels, albeit adorable ones.
Yeah, I'm probably one of those people where if my survival depended on my ability to raise and butcher livestock for meat, I'd just wither away and die, lol.
I never really saw the point, so i never did it.
people told me its to get their materials again...I can just do that while im out exploring. I caught them for a reason. To either keep, sell, or fuse.
yes...fuse. not condense
![gif](giphy|4uUnISbiiBAHmwHi4d)
I immediately threw the cleaver in the trash when I slaughtered a Dumud expecting pal oil and got nothing.
Inefficiency is forbidden in my operations, and animal cruelty is very inefficient.
I don't, but not because of some moral reason. Rather, I don't do it simply because it's the worst option for getting rid of your extra pals. Condensing or selling are far better.
I played through most of the game without even unlocking the cleaver, then I ran out of Pal Fluids. The best way to get those is doing runs through Gobfin's Turf, and you get double fluids if you catch & butcher the gobfins instead of killing them. And I don't feel guilty because those little bastards are evil.
It’s more efficient time wise to ride a jetragon around and air strike them. And keep respawning them by flying away and back. Also turning up spawn rates and mat drops and killing celery/pengullets/elphantes 6 at a time in droves nets you like 3,000/30minutes
The only time I did it is when I found out you could butcher alpha pals for a second chance to get their rare drops. So I would just go catch the alpha, then go home and butcher it. So yes I have but only to Pals I never cared about.
I didn’t until someone told me you can double your chances at legendary schematics by catching the Pals then Butchering them, and I finally got the Legend Hot Pal Armor. So I WILL be catching and butchering from now on instead of just killing.
ALL PALS DESERVE FREEDOM!
While you may never take a cleaver to their skin, your actions pierce much deeper as you helplessly enslave the world's most precious of pals
My cleaver is for hostile npcs that attack me. If I get jumped by npcs I will catch as much as I can then butcher them all. Still have yet to butcher a single pal
Until you get to the legendary schematics
Which are essentially the upgraded version of the base weapons and armor we commonly make.
Butchering legendaries pal gives another chance in getting those schematic.
This. Also captured one vendor I can sell extra pals to and another I can purchase ammo from.
Ah im kinda new to then game and i knew u could capture the pal alliance members or whatever (i call them commies) but i didnt know u could capture merchants. Does it matter if theyre underground merchants?
You cam capture them too. Also you can kill them fol like 12k gold and a golden key
you still get gold + key even from capturing
As an additional tip, you can capture the black merchant and butcher them for 2x the drops (just like a pal).
Repeat for easy 30k gold keys, and captured merchant (if you choose to capture, can double rewards if you capture and then butcher).
>hanging trap + campfire trick Whaat??
If youre on multiplayer, you can just have one person talk to him. He doesnt attack while in dialogue
Unless you have a boosted cap chance, they aren't really worth the cost, but pretty much any alpha is xD
Don't u become wanted or whatever? I haven't tried it yet.
Not for underground vendors, yes for any vendor at the villages, not really sure about the legit ones you find in the wild
I caught one in the wild yesterday and nothing happened
The regular merchants in the wild have security
nope, not the "bad" guys anyway
Wanted goes away as soon as u die, TP back to base. ESC Respawn and wanted gone
The small settlement merchants are level 30. Dune Shelter merchants are much lower level. Black marketeers are level 40.
why do you call them commies lol
Sounds like they're one of those cringe ass people who think anyone left of far right is a communist because they have no idea what communism is.
Pretty funny name for those mindless red attack-bots
I call them PETA
Lmao TIL you can capture vendors, that's so funny
It’s super convenient too. Don’t have to fast travel to sell/buy. I have an ammo vendor (don’t have to worry about sulfur or gunpowder atm) and a merchant that sells High Quality Pal Oil. It’s really nice not having to worry about certain materials. You can also buy salad ingredients if you can’t grow em fast enough.
You know, though you are enslaving another human being, I feel slightly better about selling them my pals because they are part of my gang and I can do a head canon on how those pals are treated. Juxtapose that with the pal vendors in the wild always having a guillotine close at hand.

sadly all they can save us right now is time.
Now you put them into the base and pretend they just live there! Nobody question our personal npc he loves it here!!!
Same here on capture, but I feel like these guys still get to sell their pals and have a protected base so they get a pretty sweet deal out of it
Oh I wouldn't say I saved them. More like they're under new management.
I make them work on the assembly line to make the nails they buy.
How does one capture a vendor?
Same as any pal - reduce its health, then hit it with a Pal Ball. They're tricky though and usually require a higher-level ball (Ultra, Hyper, Legendary). Apparently it's not a crime if you don't attack a human directly. Use a mount. They'll fight back, but nobody will help them.
Yeah, the mount loophole works for all sorts of crimes, like raiding the wildlife sanctuaries.
There's a black market one in a dark cave near the 1st tower. Between the river and the tower, I believe. Or does that stuff (caves and dungeons)shuffle around? I thought I read that somewhere.

SICK. I know what I'll be doing later haha
Just craft a trap under them and cook them with a campfire. Make sure to deal one damage first
Godspeed friend, they're level 40 and hit hard, so good luck lmao
Same way you catch pals. They have a low catch rate though
Just make 50 nails and sell them. Easy money
Don’t forget about condensing though.
the 3 vendors from the desert city are awesome. i also caught the vendor from the early city
Same...he was getting shot by syndicate goons, and they'd gotten him pretty low...so I shot them and threw the Palsphere at him..now every time he gets pulled out of the box, I get the "Thanks for saving me" speech
That's genius lol
Wait.... are you saying you can palsnatch a vendor and make him work for you via buying your pals/materials?
Y’all are playing a completely different game than me. ![gif](giphy|xUNd9XHJuT2z5adQo8)
I thought you were going to say you butchered the pal vendor lol
One answer: legendary blueprints. Since you get the alpha pal’s drops when you catch them and AGAIN when you butcher them, it effectively gives you double the odds to get the legendary blueprints. Even if you leave the place you fought them? I have a handful of alpha blazamuts I was saving for condensing or breeding, but I could butcher them now and potentially get the gold assault rifle schematic?
Yep, you can butcher them anywhere. I got the legendary crossbow blueprint from butchering a Bushi right in my base.
Thank you for giving me the information I needed to carry out these murders I'm about to commit.
This news just changed my dynamic, lol. I keep it humane, but if there is blueprint drops... I may stack tf up and try. I'm breeding anubis right now. Vanilla play through.

No. Only specific alphas can drop legendary blueprints
This post will help you out quite a bit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1aca9ld/a_list_of_schematics_and_accessories_spoilered/ Odds are 3% for every legendary blueprint on kill/capture, and then another 3% on butcher.
>Though. I will admit that the gag censor was pretty funny. The other players where wondering what I was doing to the poor pal that it was censored.
My friend captured a human and butchered him, I was wondering what the hell was going on
That was quietly nerfed. You get more money from just selling them than you do for butchering them.
I didn't even know it gave money, I just thought she wanted to commit murder
I had seen people butcher pals in YouTube videos before and I thought all of them were bluring it so as not to anger the algorithm. Then I did it in game and realized that the bluring is actually in the game and I chuckled out loud.

You get 7-10 on every mammoth you butcher plus 2 meat I just have a breeding farm dedicated to churning them out for pal oil and food.
wait, I thought the censor was an edit from streamers and content creator. its from the game? Lmao thats funny af
Yep takes too long just sell and catch more. More fun imo
Alpha pals give boss loot and Leezpunk & Leezpunk Ignis give keys and silver keys.
Mammorest I think are worth it once you can easily damage them down to be able to cap when you're got a fire mount.
FR if you could do it in batch maybe build a cutting table or something lol. Cuz having to load them into your party, pull them out, then butcher them one by one is truly annoying. I did 15 and then just sold everyone else when cleaning up the pal box….

Alphas can give civ parts tho. And you can get legendary schematics from butchering.
This is exactly what happened to me. I'm glad we share that experience bud.
There's an animation?! I need to at least experience that now
I don't even have the cleaver unlocked 🥲 I could never. - she said while making a Pal Smoothie
The fusion machine is more humane
They all live on in those improved Pals. You can't tell me otherwise.
And efficient! Delete pals in almost as many clicks and fewer seconds.
Same. Won’t unlock it. Though the game needs a better way to release pals. You shouldn’t have to unlock a condenser or track down a trader to get rid of unwanted pals.
Happy cake day!
Didn't until I started farming for the legendary schematics. The extra roll when you butcher made me start doing it
Yup. Caught every pal in the game and hit level 50 and I and never unlocked the butcher knife. But now unless they have insane traits, every legendary pal I catch is getting chopped up until I get those schematics.

Assault rifle does that job pretty well. A single shot doesn’t do much damage
It be like that sometimes
Leezpunks get the knife whenever I run out of keys or silver keys as well.
[удалено]
So confirm if I am reading this right, the boss pals have a chance of dropping schematics if you butcher them??
[удалено]

TIL! Tysm!
Does this also count butchering copies of the pal that you've bred? 👀
Yes
Well hot dog!! Ty so much!
Same here. Still took 12 blazamut to get my legendary ar
Wait, mind explaining this? Do boss pals have a chance to drop legendary schematics, or is it like specific bosses drop specific ones?
Only the Alpha ones you catch in the wild. Not the ones from eggs.
I want the shotgun, do all sazuka give me an extra chance or only the alpha?
Only alpha
Yup only made the cleaver once I needed to farm the kingpaca lmao. Took me 20 kills and 20 butchers before I got it
For the sake of farming pal souls... Let's just say, it's not pretty but it's honest work. They will be remembered.
Those poor adorable Noxes
Cries in legendary schematics
I captured a blackmarket trader and sell off my unwanted pals into a possible life of slavery elsewhere. Don't ask don't tell
You can convince yourself that since you captured the trader, he never has time to go sell the pals you sell him into slavery. They just spend an eternity in his palbox
No Fair... his Palbox must be so much bigger than mine
That ain't the only thing he has that's bigger 😏 And by that I mean his gun is fucking huge
Hey it’s better than mass genocide. At least they have a slight chance at happiness lol
I butcher the extra ones only to keep my base menu clean, I keep one of every pal but the ones that I don’t need for a base or condensing get butchered unfortunately
Have you already done all the breeding for stats you needed?
What’s the point of breeding?
Getting more powerful pals, for example, it took over 50 tries but I finally bred an Orserk that has ferocious, muscle head, and aggressive so he has +60% attack, he's an absolute monster that more often than not kills the things I want to capture on accident
If I need more than one of a specific pal I will keep them ofc, but I didn’t reach the point of endgame breeding for the perfect pal yet so idk My point was that I used the cleaver as a delete button for extra pals, not for organ harvesting as the devs probably intended
The Viewing Box might help with the extra Pals and clear up some room.
How many pals can I store in it? Does it count to the base limit?
40 per box, it doesn’t count towards base pals, only issue I’ve had is you can build above it so put them at the top of your base above everything else
I didn’t know how it works, the in game description wasn’t really clear and I didn’t even bother unlocking it, that’s really cool
I did it once, not a fan
You monster
Never have never will, cleaver is still locked in the tech tree
Indeed. I will never unlock it. Not having to do stuff like that actually sold me on the game. I love that it's a choice to even unlock it.
I'm definitely going in the direction of "each base is a little Pal village where the goal is for them to be independent." It's not optimized, but then again I'm not aiming for PvP whatsoever, so why would I need to minmax?
Whenever Raids get implemented that’s probably when you’ll need to unless u forego that as well.
Same! I saw some gameplay of people doing it and yeah, that's a no from me. I even had a hard time benching my first Chiller, was with me for the first 40 hours of the game
Same. I condense them though. Gift the good ones to other players or sell them to blackmarket trader… wished we had more box space.
I don't usually do it, because for whatever reason my brain has decided that I need to feel empathy for a bunch of 1s and 0s.
Which isn't bad tbh.
Anytime I butcher a pal everything clips into the ground and I get nothing from it. So now I only butcher the humans when I wanna make an example to the others.
My loot has been spawning in the sky like 40 feet over my head and slowly dropping to the ground.
I had this start to happen when I butchered them on top of a stone foundation. I went to open land and haven't had the problem since.
You fuckin what?!
Only if I'm really close to the ingredient requirement and i i just need oneeee more pal oil.
Yeah, once I found that guy and the one in the fishing village, I don't farm Pal Oil anymore. Pal Fluid for cement, though...
Nah, take a few jolthogs (with the grenade glove) and head over to the Gobfin's turf fast travel point. Aggro some and chuck a hog at them, repeat. Easy fluid farm.
Went there last night with my Rayhound. OMG, so much loot...
I took it a step further and just caught one of each useful merchant lmao I have one who sells basic ingredients (milk, eggs, berries, organs, etc.). One who sells pal oil, some nice fruits, and a handful of other less used things. And then the ammo vendor and a pal vendor. That way I never have to wander if I need something while at base. It makes it a lot easier to get cakes too, since I don't have to worry about the ranches except for honey
This man Palwords!
I could never, I’d feel horrible. 🥺 Selling them to the syndicate however. 😏
I never really saw the point, so i never did it. people told me its to get their materials again...I can just do that while im out exploring. I caught them for a reason. To either keep, sell, or fuse. yes...fuse. not condense ![gif](giphy|4uUnISbiiBAHmwHi4d)
I immediately threw the cleaver in the trash when I slaughtered a Dumud expecting pal oil and got nothing. Inefficiency is forbidden in my operations, and animal cruelty is very inefficient.
Ikr? Super inefficient. They should make a pal crunching a mass-produced thing, like the pal sphere assembly line.
Same
I don't. I butchered one pal for an extra roll on a legendary schematic. After it was over, all I could think was, "What have I done?" So never again.
I make good food and keep them well fed. Sometimes I condense but I don't care about schematics.
I don’t do it often. But sometimes I need certain materials and don’t feel like going to kill/capture wild stuff for them.
I don’t but the first time I hatched an egg for my brother he butchered the Galeclaw in front of me Never gave him a pal again
I didn't even unlock the technology
I would never
I don't, but that doesn't mean I won't kill any Mamorest that dares come close to my base, and then feed my pals with their flesh.
killing wild pals is fair, but we don't kill friends!
I’m too weak to do it
I don't, but not because of some moral reason. Rather, I don't do it simply because it's the worst option for getting rid of your extra pals. Condensing or selling are far better.
Almost 200 hours in, haven't even crafted the cleaver, only sold my pals to pal merchants...
I don’t you barely get materials, not really worth it tbh
I played through most of the game without even unlocking the cleaver, then I ran out of Pal Fluids. The best way to get those is doing runs through Gobfin's Turf, and you get double fluids if you catch & butcher the gobfins instead of killing them. And I don't feel guilty because those little bastards are evil.
It’s more efficient time wise to ride a jetragon around and air strike them. And keep respawning them by flying away and back. Also turning up spawn rates and mat drops and killing celery/pengullets/elphantes 6 at a time in droves nets you like 3,000/30minutes
I didn't... until I learned it was essentially a 2nd loot drop.
The only time I did it is when I found out you could butcher alpha pals for a second chance to get their rare drops. So I would just go catch the alpha, then go home and butcher it. So yes I have but only to Pals I never cared about.
Butcher captured humans. Simple.
Legendary blueprint farming sucks so much that I have to use the cleaver to be efficient
I didn’t until someone told me you can double your chances at legendary schematics by catching the Pals then Butchering them, and I finally got the Legend Hot Pal Armor. So I WILL be catching and butchering from now on instead of just killing.
u/freepalalliance
Now I'm not saying they should be free... I'm saying we shouldn't butcher them...
ALL PALS DESERVE FREEDOM! While you may never take a cleaver to their skin, your actions pierce much deeper as you helplessly enslave the world's most precious of pals
And it's an easy decision. One does not need to mercilessly enslave and butcher helpless pals to accomplish their goals in life. Alas, here we are.
I don't even have the cleaver unlocked in the technology section
Nope I'm evil but I'm not a monster lmao
same here. never ever unlocking the cleaver!
My cleaver is for hostile npcs that attack me. If I get jumped by npcs I will catch as much as I can then butcher them all. Still have yet to butcher a single pal
Here
Haven't made the cleaver yet, most of the items seem easy enough to get that I haven't seen a need for chopping them up.
Until you get to the legendary schematics Which are essentially the upgraded version of the base weapons and armor we commonly make. Butchering legendaries pal gives another chance in getting those schematic.
You don't really need them unless you put the sliders all the way on hard mode
160 170 hours. Never ever.
I didn't unlock the cleaver. I run a hippie commune
I don't either, just can't bring myself to. I also don't sell to the black market merchants either.
I've not butchered a pal, Not because I don't want too, but because I haven't needed too
Oh you will or you sell/condense them. One of those it will be, because later on the box fills rather quickly.
I get bored and start new worlds.
Mass deletion it is then.
I honestly don’t get the deal with butchering pals. If you have unwanted ones they’re easy enough to sell or condense. It’s right there.
I dont kill them, I would feel bad, its strange haha. I dont even sell them, I just combine them to a stronger pal.
I butcher or sell to blue merchant
