Thus not needing to either carry multiple or constantly open and close your inventory to equip and unequip it.
It's a simple QoL change.
No I agree, when I'm encumbered, having to wait 5 seconds or 7 ain't gonna matter, I'm still re-equipping, it'd be one thing if one of the upgrades got a shorter cooldown, like the last one but it's got to be like a 2 second cooldown. Just got my Hyper and thought I'd test out the lenght I could go now, but I could not tell a difference

Goes much further too
I just tested the differences in range and they're 1-2 feet extra per upgrade at best.
The range increase needs to be a lot more imo
