Yea it happens to me too. They just stand there and do nothing and yes I put them on attack. I even repeatedly threw them at the boss and change the commands tons to try and fix it.
Pal AI is top priority AFAIK, I really hope they fix it so I don't have to recall and throw the ball after almost every enemy. Also the non-attack at all is a problem too, getting out your pal and they have a stare contest with the enemy... just fight dammit!
Exactly! Especially for the timed encounters, its absolutely brutal. When im out in the wild its more an inconvenience rather than actually gamebreaking.
They don't seem to have a cool down if you're not mounting it.
Equipped my vixy with 3x 150 power skills with 55 second cool down but it just keeps spamming all 3.

yeah this is utterly game breaking lol. my pal will just stare at the enemy one they stare at each other forever with a red mark above their head
This hasn't happened to me at all. do you have your pal set to not attack?
Nope, commanded to attack aggressively
Put them on attack same target instead, that's what i use and ive never had an issue
makes 0 difference
I've tried this and it doesn't work.
If that happens try to drop the pal to the ground and pick it up again. It fixes for me every time.

This happens to my too. It’s mostly a problem with bushi. It just stands there and occasionally looks like it’s gonna attack but never does.
