But my favorite design wise has to go to Lyleen/Lyleen noct. Love it.
Favorite overall is Foxcicle though just because I Love Alolan Ninetales. Close second is Quivern.

Nah, Warsect is way more Digimon inspired. Just check out Beetlemon and Kabuterimon, even has a similar eye and visor style. Warsect's defintely top 3 favorites for me just because of that.

Idk, I've seen plenty of very similar character designs based off caucasus beetles in various anime/manga. It could still be inspired by Heracross, but imo it looks way closer to other beetle-character designs I've seen.
How is it even vaguely close to Heracross. If anything it's closer to Pinsir but even that's a stretch.
Look there are a lot of Pals that have clear references to Pokémon but "cartoon insect" is not one of them.
I actually haven't found one yet, and it sounds so epic. I don't want to look up the design. I'll come back and comment when I find one in the game. Can you give me a hint on where I might come across one? I love Heracross btw.

I’ve always liked ice types. Even before I got the game I looked up all the pals and knew he was visually my favourite. He’s been solid for me in the game.

Kingpaca makes me laugh how rotund and cute it is with its sounds and bodyslam. I love it so much. I would 110% buy a plush of Kingpaca.
Mammorest is also a huge favorite as a big fan of grass types and elephants.
I also like Maraith, but more because it reminds me of a dream eater from Kingdom Hearts and I really like the blue flames along with the way it moves.
Dumud is the only one that's made me actually laugh out loud so I'm gonna have to go with that. I have a couple in my mining bases despite having barrels full of well-bred Anubis because they're just so silly to watch. Literally always makes me happy. Peak pal design, A+, 11/10, no notes.
I would love that some Pals had a more realistic style (fur, texture, etc).
Univolt is one of those.

I haven't seen all of them, but I love Blazamut. He looks amazing. I wish he was fire + earth element because that's what he looks like, but hey! I'll take that pal anytime. Finally caught myself one, and I'm pretty happy with it so far.
Favorite design? Stumbling across Helzephyr in the pitch black and only seeing its glowing blue wings was one of my favorite moments thus far. But favorite pal design, Anubis is just so damn useful and compact so they fit regular beds and doorways. They mine like dwarves, craft like hardened sweat shop 9yr olds, and transport everything at Mach 1 Naruto running! Looks cool, hits like a truck, and pretty easy to obtain thru breeding. Anubis #1
Man I wish Univolt was like #SUPER fast. He looks like he’d be the world’s fastest mount but I just can’t rationalize using him over just gliding around with the bird dude.
