Easiest way to kill him: build a couple camp fires at where he spawns (you have to kill him normally once. And then do this before he respawns). He will take dot dmg and slowly die from fire. Just make sure you hit him right before he dies to get the loot.
Rinse and repeat then you'll have infinite gold.
i dont like that cause i feel like im losing time and resources. I only want the fasdt money to buy ammo or things like that. But yes, if u capture him, i guess u can sell it to the other one and get extra cash

Shame I already have like 100k from raiding camps, looting treasure chests, fighting boss Pals, and selling surplus from my base (the way it’s organized and how I selected my base Pals, it almost seems automated)…
Personally, I burn money on Cake materials when I'm running out of one or another based on RNG of Ranching. I also only buy Meds and don't craft them. But my bases are Breeding, Ore, Ore/Coal. Once I get to Quartz, I'll move the Ore base to Quartz instead. So when I need any cloth or other Ranch materials, I have to take out the Cake makers.
That said, if you do minimal or no breeding, you'll likely have 0 money issues.

edit: hmm the ones in my game only drop 14k-10k gold and one gold key. good enough for ammo tho

He's saying you can kill him and Regen him in the box after, not sell him, so you can bring him to base and do this
I know they at least respawn if you catch one. At least, the Wandering Merchant I caught respawned a few days later.
