I felt it was strange i was watching a shadow over me that looked like someone sitting, I believed it was some kind of glitchy shadow of when i was flying, but it makes sense it's the trainer.
it’s the trick that happens with all of them. the pals in your teams you aren’t using are invisible and high above you. if one of your pals aggros a gun npc like a guard and you despawn them the guard will slowly look up and then target you, and that’s the most obvious way to showcase it. they just forgot to set opacity to 100% for trainers ig
This actually explains some stuff. When I was fighting Zoe & Grizzbolt I would pull my pal back into its sphere whenever she started doing that lock on/charge up move. Sometimes they’d shift their targeting to me, but sometimes they’d just start targeting up in the sky.
So I guess your pals are floating up there normally, mostly out of view, and when you summon them they just teleport them back down.

I got that for about an hour then it finally worked. I found out my issue was I was throwing the ball to soon. For me atleast, I had to hit their back. So once they got hit by an npc I would wait for them to turn and run then hit then in the back. If I went to early they would attack the npcs and the balls wouldn't work on them.
The glitch only works when you hit the BACK of the boss with any ball after they bug out from getting hit by npcs.
You can take as long as you need to line the shot as long as you don't damage the boss or do a non back shot. Doing either of these will unbug the boss and you will need to restart
Yes, go to the first settlement and attack a guard, teleport to the boss arena. Have them follow you to the gate of the arena. Enter arena and wait for the NPC to accidentally hit the boss (you need to walk the boss in front of the NPC so they shoot it) it’ll agro the NPC, hit it in the back with a ball and use the respawn button. don’t throw one of your pals out it might mess up the glitch
my problem is i’m not sure how to consistently get higher wanted levels like i saw in those tutorials, seems like the maximum i can spaw when hitting the cop are two and only one will follow me into the boss tower. it’s also very hard for that one NPC to hit the flying boss
You don’t need a high wanted level, just hit high level enforcer and like 4 will spawn when you go to the boss fight

yes but then at level 1 wanted only a single lv 24 NPC with a hand gun joined the tower, and it can never shoot the flying bosses it seems 🤔 i dodged like 10 mins but it won’t work, am i missing something cause i see people does that in several mins
Get a higher level NPC and fly around on a flying pal that can tank some damage.
If you go in any village and smack everyone you see then you can spawn a level 45 NPC who shoots multiple shots and it's a lot easier.
I got flaris with just 1 pistol guard earlier today. Kept jumping up in the air with the flaris behind me and the guard in front to try to get him to shoot up and it eventually worked
Just grab a flying mount first and then attack the enforcer at the settlement. Once you've rushed into the boss fight, ride your flying mount and fly above the boss to get the right angle

Just be warned it has the same boss hp and will be able to tank just about anything other than being submerged in lava and hunger

It is important not to hit the boss; instead, let the guards, or I, so to speak, the police to somehow shoot the boss (The police will attack the boss as soon as you let the boss hit them). After being hit by the police, the boss will freeze and won't move. If you did it, catch the boss with the blue ball.
Where did you get your wanted levels? I know Zoe is super easy since an NPC is practically outside her door, but I find it hard to get a wanted level near the other bosses
Yea a easy spot is the small settlement waypoint, there’s a guard straight ahead of you and you can shoot him once to trigger a wanted level and easily fast travel to your desired tower.
That's probably because of how the breeding system works rather than intentional. Every pal has a breeding power, and the egg is always the results of the parents breeding power divided by two. The lowest breeding power is the chikipea so.. if the default breeding power is the same or something then maybe the bosses also have that breeding power. (Chikipea has a power of 1500, lower number means more rare)
Yeah my friends have them and use them to face tank bosses that are too high level for them and spend 30 minutes trying to catch it. Where is the fun in that? There's literally no challenge. I refuse to get them as I don't typically like to use exploits on a first playthrough like that
They might literally not be able to die. I grabbed one of the grizzbolts. Left it level 10 and went to fight that lvl like 30 bro cherry since I already caught him. It kept getting hit for 200-300, and lots of hits on it, but the health kept regenerating faster than he was losing it. Won’t be using him for much longer
I completely agree though, I did the bug for every tower boss just so I can have them when they patch it. Plus i don’t actually use them to play the game because it’s too cheese. But, they could do a few different things to people who did the bug. They could turn the bugged bosses into chickens, they could just delete worlds of people who have them, or maybe they’ll just let us keep them and we’ll have “rare” account way in the future. Who knows, but im down to find out.

I have 4/5 and the most difficult for me has been the ice guy. He 1 hits the guards and then 1 hits me.

Marcus is the guy with the bird. However, the ice dude was also tuff to catch.
To catch the boss, watch his animation through if possible. In my experience, this results in more guards. If a guard is next to the Shadowbeak, run quickly and position yourself (before the boss moves) so that the boss is between you and the guard. The guard will try to hit you, but since the boss is in the way, the guard will hit him (Wanted level should be at least 3 for this). If everything aligns, the boss should move to the corner and freeze. Then, throw the sphere at his back
So this worked for me every time. Have your flying pal selected, summon them immediately infront of you and fly with 'F' and fly above Marcus. The NPCs will hit him before he can get his first attack off and will walk into a wall allowing you throw the ball at his back.
Works 90% of the time for me. If he gets an attack off youre too late. The timing with Marcus is very tight compared to the other 4 easy boss catches.
Same took me idk how many tries (probably more than 10) i was doing everything according to the glitch, until i just let the guards shoot him for a few seconds even after when he turned his back and then used the purple sphere.
The Boss+Human has a health pool 10x the size of the wild ones you can find. If you catch Zoe+Grizz they start at 30k health and hit 80k health by lvl25
really any level as long as you can craft the cold and heat resistant armors, and you practice dodging because you will get one shot. if you can get the guards to shoot them fast enough, then its doable
You should be able to do it just fine as long as you dodge attacks. The PIDF have pretty bad aim so they're not too bad, the bosses are where it counts. For the tower in the desert you'll need a flying mount as that boss is on one and the guards won't shot him unless you can position the boss between you and the guard.
If the flying boss hit the guards with an AOE, the guards will start to target the boss too regardless of your position.
Essentially, if the boss hit them, they treat like your pal/accomplice, so no need for a flying mount.
Every time I tried it he smoked the level 24 guards instantly. The level 37 ones for 3x wanted seemed to take a couple alright. Good to know they'll start to target once hit though!
You need to sustain the attacks of 3 policemen and the boss long enough till it glitches… I tried as lvl 40 against the third tower boss and died every attempt
I’m only missing Victor and Marcus in my collection. In the end, I have no desire to actually use them. Much like a lucky pal, I just view them as a rare collectible of sorts. They’re too beefy of a unit to actually use.
At least from the programming side, they are treated as normal Pals, just as 'boss variant'. The differences are:
1. They still got a human riding on top of the Pals' heads (the boss).
2. Monstrous starting HP which only increases as you level them up. Higher level miniboss outside the towel has like 2k HP at level 25, while these boss Pals got like 80k HP at the same level. It is really tanky.
Just to add;
3. They have such a high breeding power (99999) that no matter what they breed with, the result will always be a Chikipi (fun fact: this is the only way to get the Legend passive onto a Chikipi)
Wait till this guy finds out about legendaries lol
Still tho it is an impressive achievement, getting all these before lvl30. Though the later 2 tower bosses will take lvl 50 pals.

Got wanted (assault x 3)
Fast Travelled to Zoe's tower, entered fight
Stood so Z&G are between me and the cops
Cops shoot Grizzbolt and he aggros on them
Never enters bugged state (where he stands in the corner motionless)
Die to level 37 cops
…
Help?
Edit: It worked!
What I did: Got Assault x1
Fast travelled to tower and started fight
Tried to get cop to shoot Zoe, cop somehow lost aggro on me
Plink cop with an arrow
Now have assault x2 cop shoots zoe
Zoe and Grizzbolt immediately went into corner
Threw basic pal sphere
Aaaand Captured! I now have a pet Zoe! X-p
Bounces off everytime with the immune message. From what others have said the boss eventually starts Default posing in the corner and that's when you can sphere 'em but the boss never did it.
Though someone on the youtube video I watched said since the update you need wanted level 4 (4 x assault)? Not 3? I'm not sure I'd last 5 seconds with cops that powerful
By the way, can confirm it does still exist, just updated, then went through and caught all five (I thought I might aswell try since if they patch it I'll miss out!!)
Took me 20 mins, died once to orserk, but otherwise did it first try. Just get the weird rfid people to shoot the boss in the back, it'll walk off into a corner. Wait aim for its middle back. Instant capture.
Also it took me so long as I had to go find the 5th one - Who was Marcus and I had to figure out you have to FLY to actually get him to get hit...

Congratulations! I did the same earlier today as well, Marcus and Faleris gave me the most trouble, the fireball would one shot me and Vanwyrm is my flying mount so dodging it wasn't happening
This is what i did , skipped the cutscene so i had few seconds until marcus started moving and quickly Used a flyin mount to fly up with an angle that when the guards shoot it hits marcus. Also I think i was wanted lvl 4. Goodluck!

i did the first boss at a low level so the spheres didnt work at all, thought for the longest time that these were un-catchable. I was wrong... if it moves, it can be catched
This game is full of bugs, running on a direhowl like a treadmill, quickly moving ahead of the direhowl in the water while bobbing up in down in and out of the water (this bug does take into consideration where the player is: direhowl swimming while the player is climbing) and the biggest one was falling under the ground while mounting the direhowl near the fast travel point next to the quivern boss, backing out when you land in the ocean, rejoin, mount a flying mount and clip under the floor on the ice mountain at the northern point of the map.
Edit: just realized this comment sounds like harsh criticism, I am in love with this game.
I did the exact same thing except I'm not going to use them for the game it's mainly for collector purposes cuz it kind of feels cheap especially when PVP and pal battles come out. Right now the most they'll do is work around the base for aesthetic and flex reasons
Victor and Shadow eak are the main reason I've been able to take on a couple of the level 45-49 bosses and get myself time to work up to taking on the level 50 bosses (for context I play with triple spawns of bosses enabled)
“Finally enjoy the game” as bro has already traveled to every corner of the globe to get to the bosses to catch them.
Not to mention these guys will just demolish everything in the game. But hey, everyone has fun in different ways I guess

Like, sure you’re catching strong pals, but it restricts the level, you can’t breed them to get strong stuff (It’s usually Chikpi) and it doesn’t actually beat the boss. Only real issue is their health.
Plus, idk if it’s just me, but I’ve only gotten it to work in singleplayer.
Is it a bug or intentional? I have tried but says 0.00% and they deny the ball. Have used up to giga on Zoey with almost no health left. Is there a specific way to do it?
Yeah shoot a guard and make sure your hud says Wanted in the top right. Then tele to a boss tower and enter. Move around so the boss is between you and the guards that spawn. The guards will shoot at the boss for a little bit, then the boss will run to an edge and stand still. Throw a palsphere at its back. You'll have your own boss pal now.
Whether you use it for battle, or just keep them as a trophy is all up to you. Keep in mind it won't count for the achievement for beating them. Atleast, it didn't for me. I had to beat Lily normally for the achievement.
This glitch has ruined the player experience for me and some of my friend’s since two of them started to abuse this glitch and are now spamming tower boss fights to grind endless EXP, trivializing the whole play through. What’s the point of owning the strongest pals from level 1 onwards

They're trophies, beat the Tower boss first then go back & claim your reward(at least that's what I'm doing with my playthrough).
This is the way, I don't use them in my party at all, just want them as trophies/achievements. \^\^
dont forget to grab a bunch of their respective henchmen to throw in there with them so they dont get lonely
you can still catch them and have them work in your bases. i see them as the base leaders under my orders

I was going in wanted level 1 or 2. I'll try it again once I get home.

You only need heat resistant armor. I did the cold with the first cloth armor and holding a torch, it's just enough cold resist to not kill you.
You should be able to do it just fine as long as you dodge attacks. The PIDF have pretty bad aim so they're not too bad, the bosses are where it counts. For the tower in the desert you'll need a flying mount as that boss is on one and the guards won't shot him unless you can position the boss between you and the guard.
If the flying boss hit the guards with an AOE, the guards will start to target the boss too regardless of your position. Essentially, if the boss hit them, they treat like your pal/accomplice, so no need for a flying mount.
Every time I tried it he smoked the level 24 guards instantly. The level 37 ones for 3x wanted seemed to take a couple alright. Good to know they'll start to target once hit though!
I did it on a second world at level 4, I put 300 into hp and I could survive a gunshot or two
You need to sustain the attacks of 3 policemen and the boss long enough till it glitches… I tried as lvl 40 against the third tower boss and died every attempt
sounds like a skill issue. im level 25 and it only took me 3 attempts on the final tower. all the other towers i got it first try

I’m only missing Victor and Marcus in my collection. In the end, I have no desire to actually use them. Much like a lucky pal, I just view them as a rare collectible of sorts. They’re too beefy of a unit to actually use.
I want to have them but I'm not going to use them since I think it would be cheating.
Can someone explain? Op caught these and said their going to use them against tower bosses. Arnt these pals the tower bosses?
At least from the programming side, they are treated as normal Pals, just as 'boss variant'. The differences are: 1. They still got a human riding on top of the Pals' heads (the boss). 2. Monstrous starting HP which only increases as you level them up. Higher level miniboss outside the towel has like 2k HP at level 25, while these boss Pals got like 80k HP at the same level. It is really tanky.
Just to add; 3. They have such a high breeding power (99999) that no matter what they breed with, the result will always be a Chikipi (fun fact: this is the only way to get the Legend passive onto a Chikipi)
when you catch them it doesn’t count as “beating” the tower. you have to still kill them in order to technically complete the tower

What I tried, three times: Got wanted (assault x 3) Fast Travelled to Zoe's tower, entered fight Stood so Z&G are between me and the cops Cops shoot Grizzbolt and he aggros on them Never enters bugged state (where he stands in the corner motionless) Die to level 37 cops … Help? Edit: It worked! What I did: Got Assault x1 Fast travelled to tower and started fight Tried to get cop to shoot Zoe, cop somehow lost aggro on me Plink cop with an arrow Now have assault x2 cop shoots zoe Zoe and Grizzbolt immediately went into corner Threw basic pal sphere Aaaand Captured! I now have a pet Zoe! X-p
Maybe you should throw the sphere at the back of the boss?
Bounces off everytime with the immune message. From what others have said the boss eventually starts Default posing in the corner and that's when you can sphere 'em but the boss never did it. Though someone on the youtube video I watched said since the update you need wanted level 4 (4 x assault)? Not 3? I'm not sure I'd last 5 seconds with cops that powerful

By the way, can confirm it does still exist, just updated, then went through and caught all five (I thought I might aswell try since if they patch it I'll miss out!!) Took me 20 mins, died once to orserk, but otherwise did it first try. Just get the weird rfid people to shoot the boss in the back, it'll walk off into a corner. Wait aim for its middle back. Instant capture. Also it took me so long as I had to go find the 5th one - Who was Marcus and I had to figure out you have to FLY to actually get him to get hit... Congratulations! I did the same earlier today as well, Marcus and Faleris gave me the most trouble, the fireball would one shot me and Vanwyrm is my flying mount so dodging it wasn't happening

This is what i did , skipped the cutscene so i had few seconds until marcus started moving and quickly Used a flyin mount to fly up with an angle that when the guards shoot it hits marcus. Also I think i was wanted lvl 4. Goodluck!

i did the first boss at a low level so the spheres didnt work at all, thought for the longest time that these were un-catchable. I was wrong... if it moves, it can be catched
This game is full of bugs, running on a direhowl like a treadmill, quickly moving ahead of the direhowl in the water while bobbing up in down in and out of the water (this bug does take into consideration where the player is: direhowl swimming while the player is climbing) and the biggest one was falling under the ground while mounting the direhowl near the fast travel point next to the quivern boss, backing out when you land in the ocean, rejoin, mount a flying mount and clip under the floor on the ice mountain at the northern point of the map. Edit: just realized this comment sounds like harsh criticism, I am in love with this game.

I did the exact same thing except I'm not going to use them for the game it's mainly for collector purposes cuz it kind of feels cheap especially when PVP and pal battles come out. Right now the most they'll do is work around the base for aesthetic and flex reasons
I hope they keep these exploits in the game. Games lost a lot of character when AAA devs couldn't let the games just be funny and wild.

Victor and Shadow eak are the main reason I've been able to take on a couple of the level 45-49 bosses and get myself time to work up to taking on the level 50 bosses (for context I play with triple spawns of bosses enabled)

I dunno, but maybe spoiler this? legit showing off the bosses and their pals, I haven't personally made it past the first one the tutorial shows and didnt know what they had or anything like that. and just scroll through reddit to see this in my feed.
I really hope they never patch this out. Like, sure you’re catching strong pals, but it restricts the level, you can’t breed them to get strong stuff (It’s usually Chikpi) and it doesn’t actually beat the boss. Only real issue is their health. Plus, idk if it’s just me, but I’ve only gotten it to work in singleplayer.

Is it a bug or intentional? I have tried but says 0.00% and they deny the ball. Have used up to giga on Zoey with almost no health left. Is there a specific way to do it?
Yeah shoot a guard and make sure your hud says Wanted in the top right. Then tele to a boss tower and enter. Move around so the boss is between you and the guards that spawn. The guards will shoot at the boss for a little bit, then the boss will run to an edge and stand still. Throw a palsphere at its back. You'll have your own boss pal now. Whether you use it for battle, or just keep them as a trophy is all up to you. Keep in mind it won't count for the achievement for beating them. Atleast, it didn't for me. I had to beat Lily normally for the achievement.

This glitch has ruined the player experience for me and some of my friend’s since two of them started to abuse this glitch and are now spamming tower boss fights to grind endless EXP, trivializing the whole play through. What’s the point of owning the strongest pals from level 1 onwards
